The first night of youth league was great. This is a huge step in the right direction for the program. We had a gym full of almost 40 kids from 9-14 years old and five varsity wrestlers. Not to mention 5 coaches. Thanks Coach Guess, Boyd, Kirby, Kirby, and Annas for your help. The numbers are there...the coaches are there...but we need more than 5 varsity wrestlers. How many did Parkland, Hough, Lake Norman, Newton, Foard, Mitchell, and others have? Winning the Conference, Region, or State is NOT LUCK!!!

Once you start looking at the level and spread of criminal activities by senior ANC government office bearers, it actually makes for extremely scary reading. It seems it is just about impossible to find one ANC official with clean hands. How quickly did this degradation happen, and how deeply seated is it in the soul of the ANC? If you ever looked for a reason why millions of people are turning their backs on the ANC, this is yet another very valid reason! Why should these people return to parliament after they have proven that they are dishonest and not trustworthy? The following highly tainted and flawed individuals are all occupying privileged positions on the ANC's candidates list for parliament! One of the world’s great humanitarians, Nelson Mandela, passed away at the age of 95 at his home in Houghton, Johannesburg, on 5 December 2013.Tata Madiba, as he was affectionately known, was born Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela on 18 July 1918 in Mvezo in the rural Eastern Cape. He was an ardent anti-apartheid activist and devoted much of his life to opposing the repressive apartheid regime. He joined the African National Congress when he was only 25 years old, and was also instrumental in the formation of the African National Congress Youth League. He and fellow activist Oliver Tambo opened the first black legal practice in Johannesburg in 1952.In 1964 he was sentenced to life imprisonment by the then-South African government (he had previously been arrested and sentenced to five years’ imprisonment in 1962). He spent 27 years in prison, 18 of these on the infamous Robben Island – now a renowned World Heritage Site.He was released from prison on 11 February 1990 following the unbanning of the African Nati ...

If like me, you don't have a passport from another country and you quite like living in South Africa, now is quite an important time for you. Instead of using clichés like "the future is in your hands." or "make your mark, let your voice be heard!" and other ineffective drivel, I am going to just draw your attention to the following: Bob Mugabe had to amend the constitution of Zimbabwe to allow him to remain in power as president, long after he had reached his intellectual sell-by-date. (Before this, as in all "democracies", there was a limit to the number of terms which a president could serve). Having changed it once, he did it again. Then he was on a roll. The rest of the story we all know very well. With hindsight, we can see that had he been prevented from taking the first step, the whole sub-Saharan part of Africa would have been spared quite a lot of bother. When Hitler took over Germany he systematically turned it into a fascist police-state, where no-one (no, not even German citizens) had any fr ...
Zidane stars for Real Madrid... but Zinedine's watching Enzo in UEFA Youth League. Zinedine Zidane was in attendance as his son starred in Real Madrid's UEFA Youth League victory over Paris Saint-Germain. Enzo Fernandez, 18, was substituted after an hour in the hard-fought 1-0 victory over PSG that booked Real's place in the semi-final. The Spaniards were reduced to 10 men after 55 minutes when Hector Martinez was dismissed for a reckless foul, but central defender Jaime Sanchez struck the solitary goal with 18 minutes left. There is still a big English presence left in the competition with Manchester City facinf Benfica, Chelsea facing Schalke and Arsenal facing Barcelona in the quarter-finals. Fernandez began his youth career at Juventus but moved to Real Madrid when Zinedine made his £50million switch in 2004. The teenager, who wears the No 10 shirt, has not represented Real at senior level yet, but was invited to train with the first team by then-manager Jose Mourinho in 2011. At the end of February ...

Anton Lembede( born 21 January 1914 – died 30 July 1947) was a South African activist and founding president of theAfrican National Congress Youth League(ANCYL). He has been described as "the principal architect of South Africa's first full-fledged ideology of African nationalism."Lembede was a strong influence onNelson Mandela, and worked with him,Walter SisuluandOliver Tamboto reform the ANC, which the Youth League described as "a body of gentlemen with clean hands".He never saw the success of Black activism that enabled Black South Africans to be treated equally; he died in 1947, aged 33. Lembede was regarded as the progenitor of the "Programme of Action" that was adopted as a guiding document by the 1949 meeting of theAfrican National Congress, I wish comrades we can learn from this cadre to solve our problems as a branch!!

Since I've got baseball oddities on my mind today, a story about former Meridian Community College standout and Mississippi State infielder Lake Thoms comes to mind. When he was playing youth league ball in Newton County he hit three homers in one inning. I have told him on more than one occasion that I really like him a lot, but that fourth time at the plate I would have to have brushed him off the plate. :-) Or at least walked him intentionally! By the way, just as a side note, he was the first player in Meridian Community College's storied baseball history to hit for the cycle and it came in the NJCAA Regional. What a performance that was.

|• The • Sun Tzu • In Me •| I'm thinking more and more that the Nkandla thing was a blessing in disguise for us. The opposition parties were so engrossed in and obsessed with Nkandla that they lost focus from the other stuff of opposition politics. The next moment they looked up it was already 2014. They all then had to rush to ruffle up some manifestos and they came up with shaded images of the ANC's manifesto. Even in their posters they easily, but unashamedly use words from the ANC's texts. Words like "forward", "together", "six million", "move", etc. What they don't know is that while they were obsessing about Nkandla, we were quietly doing the research that informed our manifesto as well as the manifesto forums in all communities. Remember in 2009 how the Youth League "kept" Helen Zille "busy" while Zuma was "sprinting to the Union Buildings"? Well, Nkandla has the same, deadly effect. As you were my friends. As you were.

You are not currently logged in, Login or Register News articles ANC DISTANCES ITSELF FROM SAUCY BUM PICTURES Published: Wednesday, 2014/02/26 ANC officials are blushing over photos of a provincial youth leader up close and friendly with young women members. The pictures show Mpumalanga ANC Youth League chairman Desmond Moela hugging young women in underwear that shows off their bums! Now the ANC has distanced itself from the saucy snaps on social networks. But Julius Malema’s EFF was quick to mock Moela as an “immature king”. Moela was grinning with the scantily clad women with ANCYL printed on their panties, but didn’t answer when the People’s Paper called him this week. The person who answered said Moela was in meetings all day. But provincial ANC secretary Lucky Ndinisa said: “The ANC Youth League is a preparatory school for the ANC. Young people are energetic - sometimes they become creative and do things that sound and look weird. “We are going to talk to them and tell them what’s t ...
Julius Malema’s party stated in its 2014 elections manifesto, launched on Saturday at Tembisa in the East Rand, "The EFF government will work towards African isolation of Botswana, which has been home of an imperialist military base and push for progressive internal reforms within Botswana which should involve the people of Botswana." This is not the first time Botswana attracted tongue-lashing from former youth league president of the ruling African National Congress. About three years ago Malema accused Botswana of being a puppet of United States of America imperialism. "The ANC Youth League will also establish a Botswana command team, which will work towards uniting all oppositional forces in Botswana to oppose the puppet regime of Botswana, led by the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP)," Malema said at the time. Weeks after this statement, he was suspended and then expelled from the ANC, accused various violations of the constitution, including bringing the party into disrepute through his utterances a ...

South Africa: ANCYL wades in on Zille 'twar' - The ANC Youth League has expressed shock at DA leader Helen Zille's...
Change is you — change your vote. Update about EFF leader..Like Nelson Mandela, Malema rose through the ANC’s Youth League, challenging the status quo and winning fans. The son of a poor single mother, he grew up in a segregated black township in the northern Limpopo province, joining the ANC at age 10 . As the story goes, he jumped on a bus to Johannesburg when he was 12 , following the 1993 assassination of South African Communist Party leader Chris Hani, because he expected civil war and wanted to be there for the fight.
Malema mocked a stone's throw from EFF manifesto launch ANC leaders have partied, danced and mocked EFF leader Julius Malema in Tembisa - a mere kilometre from Malema's party's election manifesto launch. The festival was held a mere kilometre away from the Mehlareng stadium in Tembisa, east of Johannesburg where the expelled ANC Youth League president's party, Economic Freedom Fighters, launched its election manifesto. ANC National Executive Committee member Pule Mabe said Malema was running a backyard revolution. "Malema's is a backyard revolution ... he is a surrogate, a known demagogue," Mabe said at the festival. Mabe was formerly a youth league treasurer who worked with Malema. He said Malema was a "commander of chancers" instead of commander-in- chief – his title at the EFF. "He calls himself a commander-in-chief, he is actually a commander of chancers ... Floyd [Shivambu] is there to be sent to do whatever [Malema] wants done." Shivambu, a former youth league spokesperson, was expelled from the p ...
I think she tends to be a bit dramatic at times. I think she plays to the gallery at times. But I also think she is doing a good job under the circumstances, and doesn't deserve the abuse she is suffering in the hands of the ANC Youth League leadership, which, whenever it opens its mouth, spews venom directed at her, and makes dangerous insinuations about her office and her persona. She cannot be intimidated for doing her job, nor made to feel eternally grateful for having been appointed to it. The office of the Public Protector needs our protection.
the leaders of the African National Congress (ANC) can live with a decline of five or 10 percentage points in the ANC’s electoral majority. The fixation on 60%, while symbolic, is irrelevant. What really scares the ANC is losing its credibility on the streets. Which bring us to Julius Malema and his Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF). At the 2012 ANC Youth League congress in Midrand, Malema launched his movement for "economic freedom in our lifetime". More than 5,000 young people attended that conference. On Saturday, Malema spoke to about 50,000 people at his party’s manifesto launch in Tembisa. The emotive message remains much the same: dignity for black people, the distribution of land and the nationalisation of mines. The logic of Malema’s nostrums is tortured, but few are asking tough questions. After all, it’s election season, when every party is free to make sky-high assertions that will never touch the ground. The movement Malema started as leader of the league continues beyond the control of ...
Fikile Mbalula The ANC Youth League must not apologise for calling for economic freedom and the nationalisation of mines, ANC national executive member Fikile Mbalula said on Wednesday.
ANC lied about stadium, says Dali Mpofu Advocate Dali Mpofu told EFF supporters the ANC had said the Makhulong Stadium was for soccer, then gave the go- ahead for the ANCYL festival. The ANC lied to the nation about booking Makhulong Stadium ahead of the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) elections manifesto launch, advocate Dali Mpofu said on Saturday. "We were told that we can't use Makhulong Stadium because it is for soccer," he told EFF supporters in Tembisa, east of Johannesburg. "That was in January." Thousands of EFF supporters had gathered at the nearby Mehlareng stadium for the launch of the party's elections manifesto. The ANC Youth League (ANCYL) was hosting an elections festival at the Makhulong Stadium, just a kilometre away. Mpofu, dressed in a red jumpsuit and EFF beret, said that if the ANC could lie about a stadium, how could they be trusted to create jobs. Rapturous applause Earlier, the Mehlareng stadium erupted with applause when EFF leader Julius Malema arrived for the manifesto launch. ...

Thuli Madonsela is not a smart woman, she is unethical, she licks imformation, she is friends with the media, Iwould not be surprised if she is a member of a DA. Thuli Madonsela is a populist. MANY thought there would be bloodshed on Saturday when the EFF and ANCYL held events just 3km apart. But things were peaceful as Julius Malema managed to gather a crowd of nearly 50. They waited for three hours to hear his party manifesto. When Juju arrived at Mehlareng Stadium in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni, he was met with thunderous applause. At the nearby Makhulong Stadium, the ANCYL wasted no time insulting their former president in front of about 3000 members. The EFF’s speakers included its head of justice Dali Mpofu, while the Youth League brought out veteran comedian David Kau. Confusion reigned at Mehlareng when unknown rappers took to the stage and failed to entertain EFF supporters while Zahara, Dr Malinga, Uhuru, Solly Moholo, Ntando and DJ Black Coffee performed for the Youth League. The EFF had controversial Pastor Mbhoro open with an interfaith prayer. He was followed by a representative of the Muslim faith who surprised all by shouting: “Viva EFF!” Mpofu told the crowd the EFF was denied pe ...

ANC blames Malema for crisis The ANC’s National Executive Committee member and Minister of Police Nathi Mthethwa has slammed Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema and labelled him the “boy” who plunged the Limpopo government into a financial crisis. According to the Sunday Independent, Mthethwa had been addressing an ANC electoral conference in Limpopo on Friday night when, without actually mentioning Malema’s name, he made it clear that it was the former ANC Youth League leader who was to blame for the wholesale corruption that plunged the province into financial crisis in 2011. Interim chairperson of the ANC provincial Task Team Falaza Mdaka also lashed out at Malema saying that they had seen ANC leaders being insulted by those whose blood was black, green and gold, but the skin was that of “the red ants full of corruption and desire to nationalise the mines and state assets in order to create a safe haven to steal government money and rob the poor”. Limpopo was put under administra ...
At any given point in the History of Africa there were problems facing society and youth who chose to act. Nelson Mandela, Oliver Tambo, Joe Mathews, Anton Lembede, Walter Sisulu, Dr Lionel Mxolisi Majombosi and the rest who constituted the cadre of youth who founded the ANC Youth League identified problems arising from the situation they were faced with at the time but chose to unite the youth behind the banner of the ANC, in order to consolidate and sharpen an already existing ANC, which at the time as almost moribund. They made a Clarion call of Freedom in our lifetime...The other group of young people who acted to accelerate organizational work which seemed to be stuck by inertia was Chris Hani, Thabo Mbeki,Pallo Jordan and the Makiwane Brothers(later expelled Brothers) who wrote a Memo to the Leadership of the ANC. Their action resulted in the holding of the Morogoro Conference in 1969 and the Subsequent acceleration of armed action by Umkhonto we Sizwe. They could have Chosen to leave the ANC in Exi ...
SHOCK TREATMENT TO The glorious ANC is all over the Western Cape. In every corner, village, township and town! This weekend we saw a show of force. The Women's (led by Angie Motshekga) and Youth League (with various leaders) was part of it. SANCO (led by its president) and the SACP (Dr Blade Nzimande presided) was also there. Cosatu and many unions took part. Cyril Ramaphosa, Gwede Mantashe, Dr Zweli Mkhize and Jessie Duarte led almost 80 NEC members of the ANC in going to people's homes... The whole action caused a lot of positive atmosphere building up to the coming elections. Our ANC Western Cape leader Marius Fransman was at the forefront with his executive and all leaders at all levels participating. Who did you see or captured in a picture in your area? What is your experience? Tell us what you think of this intensified campaign?
EFF leader Julius Malema has apologised to IFP leader, Mangosuthu Buthelezi, for insulting him in 2009. Malema was ANC Youth League leader at the time.
Open Letter to Jacob Zuma From Kenny Kunene here is the full letter: Dear President Jacob Zuma.. I'm writing this because I've never been more disappointed with the ANC you lead. I was once your fervent supporter, I attended some of those night vigils during your trials, and, like many, I believed you would be the force for change the youth and the poor desperately need in our country. Like many others, I donated to your cause when I was called on, and allowed my facilities to be used for ANC and Youth League meetings, sometimes for unusual meetings where your political comeback was planned. You may wonder what qualifies me to make any kind of political comment. As everyone knows, I'm just a socialite and a businessman, but it's also no secret I am a hobbyhorse for politicians to ride whenever they want to criticise "crass materialism" and the decay of morals. It's true, I like to spend, and I'm not an angel, but unlike politicians I'm not spending taxpayers' money. My real point is that, as a socialite a ...

"Comrade President, I imagine that these must be especially trying times for you as president of our movement, the ANC, as they are for many of us as ordinary members of our beloved movement, which we have strived to serve loyally for many decades. I say this to apologise that I impose an additional burden on you by sending you this long letter. I decided to write this letter after I was informed that two days ago, on October 7, the president of the ANC Youth League and you the following day, October 8, told the country, through the media, that you would require me to campaign for the ANC during the 2009 election campaign. As you know, neither of you had discussed this with me prior to your announcements. The ANC Youth League regards the planned DA march to the ANC Head-Quarters as an act of provocation. The DA has a plenty of opportunities and public platforms to debate with the ANC the contents of its manifesto. We are appalled by the reports that the DA besides hiring a private white security company, they will be bringing a rented crowd to the march, which is essentially black and African in particular. This has been their long established pathology of using blacks in their gimmicks to woe and dupes the black electorate to support their anti transformation racist policies, that are aimed at restoring white privilege and protecting white monopoly capital interests. ANCYL as the leader of the Progressive Youth Alliance will be out in full force to form a human chain and defend the Albert Luthuli House. We should disappoint them and fall for their act of provocation. We call upon the South Gauteng High Court to act in the best interest of South Africa’s democracy and peace and grant the ANC the interdic ...

Agang and DA tied to Israeli imperialist agenda The ANC Youth League in the Western Cape is shocked to learn that two opposition parties Agang and the Democratic Alliance (DA) together with the DA’s parliamentary candidate Advocate Glynnis Breytenbach, are being funded by Nathan Kirsh, the director and owner of Israel’s Magal Security Systems which is complicit in the construction of Israel’s illegal Apartheid Wall. Magal Security Systems was founded in 1969 as a department of the Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI). In 1984 Magal Security Systems was established as a private company, with some shares still held by IAI but with 24.2% of Magal Security System shares being held by Nathan Kirsh, through holdings in Mira Mag and Ki Corporation, both of the companies are registered in Liberia. The 24.2% stake in Magal Security Systems makes Nathan Kirsh its largest shareholder, Kirsh is also the Director of the company. Nathan Kirsh's Magal Security Systems in September 2002 won 80% of the tenders (totalli ...

ANCYL STATEMENT ON CLOSURE OF TSHWANE UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY The ANC Youth League vehemently opposes the premature closure of Tshwane University of Technology by the University’s Management Committee without engaging the legitimate student leadership with a view of resolving the student grievances. Higher Education institutions are public institutions, they are not tuck-shops that can be opened and closed willy-nilly as university managers like. The ANCYL further welcomes the 1 Billion Rands injection by the Higher Education Department to boost the financial base of NFSAS and make up for the shortfall that is experienced by most university students and facilitates access. We view this action of the department as a strong commitment towards the realization of free education. We shall continue to support plight of all poor students to access Higher Education. Our branches with our PYA partners throughout all campuses will be in the forefront of the struggles for access.
The main tasks and challenges that are facing us as the ANC Youth League is not only to correctly lead our members and boast big numbers, but to lead all the youth by our work and their consent and not by imposition and decree and become the center of the all-round development of young men and women from all general walks of life. This we can achieve if we assume our rightful place both in the ANC and in the broader society. We have to make contribution to the solutions of problems facing our movement today. Thus the building of an autonomous ANC Youth League that is organizationally functional, politically capable and ideologically sound within the overall discipline of the ANC is a historical necessity. The YL has existed for almost seven decades and therefore this organisation of Mxolisi Majombozi, Robert Resha, Nelson Mandela, Anton Lembede and many other great leaders has tried and tested processes. We are the laboratory of ideas that Cde Sisulu spoke of, we are the young lions that Tambo admired, and ...
ANC Youth League rescue bid postponed The troubled ANC Youth League will return to court on March 24 2013 to fight being made permanently insolvent. The league was set to return to the Johannesburg high court on Monday after the organisation was declared provisionally insolvent last year over millions owed by its previous leadership under Julius Malema. The hearing has now been postponed to March 24 2013. The league lost its legal status as a result of the ruling by acting judge Tony Mundell in October last year, essentially tying the hands of its temporary leadership and putting the body’s operations in the hands of the master of the court. In his judgment, Mundell said interested parties who could show why the order should not be made final had until January 27 to do so. This is another blow for the body, which has struggled since Malema was ousted in 2012 and its National Executive Committee (NEC) dissolved in March 2013. The provincial executive committees were subsequently found to be in shambles a ...
The Interim National Task Team of the ANCYL should be lauded for their efforts to clear the financial mess left by Malema, Shivambo and their brigade of looters that left a "milked dry" organisation that will soon be celebrating 70yrs of its founding this year and is a legacy of the work of people like Anton Lembede and other fallen heroes and heroines. We trust that the Youth League will rise up again and that its image will be restored. Viva the ANCYL, viva!!!
Malema’s secret fund 23 July 2011 19:46 A secret family trust of which ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema is the sole trustee may explain how he has been bankrolling his lavish lifestyle. The Ratanang Family Trust, named after Malema’s five-year-old son, was registered at the Office of the Master of the High Court in Pretoria on May 13 2008, five weeks after he was elected president of the youth league. City Press can further reveal that the trust owns a 3.5 hectare smallholding outside Polokwane, bought for R900 000 in cash in June last year. No bond was registered on the smallholding, which is part of the farm Palmietfontein. Two independent, well-placed sources with knowledge of Malema’s financial dealings told City Press that the trust was a vehicle used by the youth leader and his benefactors to fund his lifestyle. “Thousands of rands” are deposited into the account on a regular basis, they say. Said one source: “Frequent deposits are being made from different banks, especially i ...
Julius Malema's bromance with Mangosuthu Buthelezi is not the weirdest liaison in our realpolitik of personality. Julius Malema has that look about him. You know the one – it's been snapped whenever he's discovered a new older male to look up to. He's worn it next to Robert Mugabe, Thabo Mbeki, Cassel Mathale and once, a seeming aeon ago, alongside Jacob Zuma. Think high-wattage smile, scrunched-up cheeks and beaming eyes. The elder politician next to him this time around plays along perfectly, hooking his hand into the crook of Malema's arm and tilting his head to smile benevolently at the young politician. The only thing wrong with the image is that the man next to him is Mangosuthu Buthelezi, Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) mainstay and the person Malema once called a "factory fault" during a war of words between the two that began during the run-up to the 2009 election when Malema was still the ANC Youth League's motormouth president.

Peter and his siblings attended a local Catholic school despite their parents being devoted Anglicans. From his local school, Mda proceeded to further his studies at the Catholic institutions of St Francis in Aliwal North and Mariazell, northeast of Matatiele. After he qualified as teacher, Mda struggled to secure a teaching job in the Eastern Cape until he settled for a menial work as gardener and kitchen boy in a White household in East London. In 1937, he set off to the Witwatersrand with the hope of landing a teaching post, but he found teaching jobs as scarc ...
Who's that ? Buthelezi studied History and Bantu administration at the Fort Hare University in 1948. It was at this University that his short-lived involvement in liberation politics developed. Here he met Professor Z K Mathews (who was to make an impression on him) and through him, Robert Sobukwe, African National Congress (ANC) Youth League leader, and other African nationalist liberation leaders such as Robert Mugabe. In 1950 he took part in the student protests against the visit of Governor General G Brand Van Zyl

As the ANC's abuse of state resources for its election campaign grows every day, Agang SA today lodged a complaint against the Social Security Agency of SA (SASSA) for funding 1 400 mattresses to be used by the ANC to buy votes. According to media reports, ANC deputy secretary-general Jessie Duarte led the handing out some of the mattresses to about 300 people at the Valhalla informal settlement in Cape Town, which was destroyed by fire late last year. The party was campaigning in the build-up to the provincial launch of its election manifesto at Delft stadium this past Sunday. ANC Youth League provincial Task Team convenor Muhammad Khalid Sayed said 1 400 mattresses were donated by the SA Social Security Agency. "We asked SASSA nationally to intervene even though this is not their area, because the city was not intervening," Sayed is quoted saying by Sunday Times. Agang SA Communications Director, Thabo Leshilo said: "It is unseemly of the social security agency to fund the ANC's fierce competition for t ...
Barnhall 5 Lansdowne 48 Lansdowne U17s stormed into the School/Youth League semi-final today with an emphatic win over NUIM Barnhall. On a remarkably good playing surface in Leixlip after the deluge of rain the previous day, the opening quarter was evenly contested. After 15 mins when Lansdowne were awarded a penalty, they kicked for the corner. From the ensuing lineout they mauled the ball over for Richard Dunne to open the scoring. From another lineout in the same patch 10 minutes later Lansdowne won good ball, rucked it twice before Conor MacMahon drove over for their 2nd try which was nicely converted by Jack Mulcahy. Lansdowne were dominant in most areas at this stage and shortly afterwards Rob Kelly broke on the blind side and fed Jack Mulcahy who then sent Cameron Lynch in for Lansdowne’s 3rd try. Barnall weren’t helped when their talented centre was yellow carded for in illegal tackle. Lansdowne used their extra man to their advantage and Jack Mulcahy ended a good passing move with a try t ...

There is one annoying thing with neo-colonial where revolutionary phrase-mongering n suger-coating revisionism with quotations of fallen revolutionaries always stored in pigeon holes to score cheap political points in the bourgeois numbers game of bourgeois parliamentary cretinism which wil never serve the masses bt the beauraucrats elected. I puzzle at how people can coat Antan Muziwakhe Lembede,an Africanist who was never a PAC member n then deny others the right to quoting Sobukwe n make Sobukwe an exclusive dormain of the PAC,Lembede was president of the ANC Youth League n died as such,n the soul reason tht he is on the PAC calender was the fact tht he was an Africanist,a revolutionary par excellence who led n greatly influenced Sobukwe n his generation. On the reversal n betrayal of the 1949 Program of Action, with Lembede gone(by the adoption of the freedom cheater),it fell on the shoulders of Sobukwe n his comrades to shoulder the responsibility of leading the Africanist revolutionary fraction tht . ...
ANC Youth League president Julius Malema has repeatedly pleaded poverty and claimed to live on donations, but he is one of his community’s main and generous benefactors. Since 2009, Malema has built a three-bedroom house for a poor family at his Seshego township outside Polokwane in Limpopo, constructed a modern structure for the local Baptist Church and is now adding a second double-storey on his family property. Malema, who is revered and loved by many locals, also built a wall in 2008 for his former primary school, Mponegele, through SGL Engineering Projects, a controversial company he partly owned at the time. The church, officially opened in October 2009 by President Jacob Zuma and Limpopo Premier Cassel Mathale, was built for the congregation in honour of his late mother, Mahlodi, who passed away in 2007. She was a member of the church. Pastor Chuene Selolo, the head of the Seshego Baptist Church, said the new building made life easier for the congregation, who had been forced to cram inside a sha ...

A towering figure in 20th century history, Nobel Laureate Nelson Mandela showed how wisdom and patience can triumph over bigotry and brute force. Truly the Father of a Nation. Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela was the son of one of South Africa's leading dignitaries, Chief Henry Mandela of the Tembu Tribe, and it was as a young law student that he became involved in political opposition to the white minority regime. Joining the African National Congress (ANC) in 1942, he co-founded its more dynamic Youth League two years later. The 1948 election victory of the Afrikaner-dominated National Party led to the apartheid system of racial segregation becoming law. Mandela rose to prominence in the ANC's 1952 Defiance Campaign and the 1955 Congress of the People, whose adoption of the Freedom Charter provided the fundamental programme of the anti-apartheid cause. Initially committed to non-violent mass struggle and acquitted in the marathon Treason Trial of 1956-1961, Mandela and his colleagues accepted the case for arme ...

The ANC has a way of dealing with leaders who use words such as F**k off. - ANC Youth league spokesperson Floyd Shivambu was suspended from the ANC for three years, the party's national disciplinary committee (NDC) chairperson Derek Hanekom said on Wednesday evening. "Consequently, he shall vacate his position as a member of the National Executive Committee of the ANC Youth League," Hanekom said. His suspension was also extended to the youth league, as decided by the NDC of appeals' (NDCA) finding on February 4. Swore at journalist Shivambu was found guilty of contravening the African National Congress's constitution by swearing at a journalist, and issuing a statement in his capacity as an ANCYL spokesperson, about creating regime change in Botswana, which contradicted ANC policy. Hanekom said the disciplinary committee had already dismissed Shivambu's argument that the journalist, Jacques Dommisse, provoked him. "The NDC does not accept that there is anything 'political' about swearing at a journalist." ...

Comrade Nelson Mandela belonged to the African National Congress, he led and served in various capacities in the ANC as the Deputy President and President and as a co-founder of the ANC Youth League. It is this ANC that made us to know Nelson Mandela, there shouldn't be confusion about Madiba's political affiliation or belonging. Today, the ANC has reaffirmed the status of Comrade Mandela that he did indeed led this very glorious party of Dube, Makgatho, Mahabane, and many other leaders of the ANC.
The following article on Nelson Mandela by our beloved Dr. Kenneth Kaunda published under KK's Diary in the Post Newspaper on November 13 2005:- Nelson Mandela By Dr Kenneth Kaunda: Sunday November 13, 2005 THE name Nelson Mandela is considered a symbol of the struggle against apartheid in South Africa. Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela’s life is linked to the story of the ANC. Mandela is linked to the history of southern Africa, Africa, and the world. In turn, events in the region and other parts of the world have affected Nelson Mandela’s life. Nelson Mandela and Oliver Reginald Tambo were for a long time the closest of friends in the struggle. Together, they had been expelled from Fort Hare University for student protest. Together, they were partners in a law firm. Malema visits Mandela's body at Union Building Economic Freedom Fighters' leader Julius Malema went to the Union Buildings in Pretoria to view the body of Nelson Mandela lying in state on Thursday, SABC television news reported. He appeared to have been taken through a different entrance to the rest of the public as he was not spotted in the main queue. This raised the ire of EFF supporter Kutlwam Motloba, from Rustenburg. "I wanted to see him [Malema]. I felt we had the right to see him. Why did they hide him? The ANC knows they are going to lose," he said, when news spread that Malema had arrived. Earlier, the EFF leader visited Mandela's house in Houghton with a group of fellow political supporters. "Thank you [Mandela] for ushering in political freedom ... Those who came after you failed to deliver economic freedom," he said. "We are picking up this battle ...Viva the militant Nelson Mandela, viva," shouted the ousted ANC Youth League leader. Members of the fledgling political party then laid red rose ...

I was saying in a meeting last weekend that historically the ANCYL has been in the forefront in terms of dealing with the enemy. The ANCYL doesn’t have a history of being heavily engaged in ANC factions, it has always been found in offense towards the enemy, and always was called to order based on their approach towards the enemy. UEFA YOUTH LEAGUE REPORT: CHELSEA 5 Steaua Bucharest 0 = Summary Chelsea's Under-19 side rounded off their UEFA Youth League group stage campaign in style at Cobham on Tuesday evening, maintaining a 100 per cent record with six consecutive wins. First-half goals from John Swift, Alex Kiwomya and an Islam Feruz double gave Dermot Drummy's side a commanding lead at the break, before an Ambrose Gnahore goal early in the second half sealed the win. It means the young Blues progress to the knockout last-16 stage, with the competition resuming in the New Year. Team news With the FA Youth Cup third-round tie against Dartford on Thursday evening in mind, it was a carefully considered team selection from manager Drummy. The likes of Nathan Ake, Lewis Baker, Swift and Feruz, those too old now for 2013/14 Youth Cup participation, were mixed with a selection of schoolboys and first-year scholars, such as George Brady, Bradley Collins and Mukhtar Ali. Catch Former ANC Youth League president Fikile Mbalula right now on as he discusses the topic
SOWETO – Tensions are high between supporters of the ANC Youth League (ANCYL) and Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in Vilakazi Street, Soweto, on Sunday afternoon.
The ANC from its early years, had been riddled with factional politics. Those in attendance at Waaihoek in January 1912 were so divided that they elected Rev Dube in absentia as its inaugural President. By the 1930s, Jabavu lost ground to the dominant voices as espoused by Pixley ka Isaka Seme and Sol Plaatjie of the early years. The 1940’s saw the emergence of deep intellectualism and internationalist perspectives with the ANC under the leadership of Dr AB Xuma, but the emerging Youth League of Walter Sisulu, Nelson Mandela, Robert Sobukwe, Anton Lembede etc remained impatient and developed a radical Programme of Action which was adopted in 1949. The roll out of the Programme of Action culminated in the Congress of the People held in Kliptown which adopted the Freedom Charter. In was in the midst of the execution of this Programme of Action that new factional dynamics led to the breakaway by the Sobukwe faction who then established the PAC. The ANC faced other organisational challenges in the 1960’s ...
I am not a political Analyst but I am the greatest observe of issues around me. Below are the 7 greatest Mistakes that the ANC has committed. 1. Voting Zuma to be a president at the Polokwane conference and his re-election in Mangaung. 2. Expelling Julius Malema, from the party was a huge mistake. 3. Disbanding the ANC Youth League and forming a useless Task Team. 4. The introduction of E-tolls on Gauteng roads. 5. Allowing Cosatu to suspend Zwelinzima Vavi, he was the only powerful man opposing e-tolls saga. 6. Protecting the Nkandla multi billion project scandal 7. Rubbing off the Marikana massacre tragedy.
I hope no one gets me wrong on this one. I just have to get my thoughts out. Nelson Mandela? Born July 1918 on the 18th, went to Witwatersrand Law School to study Human Rights Law between the years 1943 and 1949 (Took him seven years because during this era they required you to study a B-Juris frist in order to qualify to study LLB Law) and it was during these years that he joined the ANC Youth League. He was involved in the Defiance Campaigns of the 1950's and helped form Umkhonto We Sizwe, left the country in 1961 and returned by 1962 for the Rivonia Treason Trial, where he was arrested and served a 27 years prison sentence. If you would ask me, his major role was played between 1990-1994, South Africas Road to Democracy. I highly appreciate his efforts and sacrifices and look up to his ways of forgiveness, tolerance and reconciliation. What I am against, is the amount of credit Nelson Mandela is being given, one might even think that Nelson Mandela was the only freedom fighter of the Apartheid Era. ONL ...

South Africa’s ANC has lost Mandela glow on december 06, 2013 at 12:25 am in news JOHANNESBURG, December 5, 2013 (AFP) – Nelson Mandela’s African National Congress rose from a local liberation movement to govern Africa’s richest country, but scandals and mismanagement have tainted its once glorious image. Mandela, who died Thursday at 95, leaves behind a party that won equal rights for all South Africans 19 years ago and improved the lives of millions. But Africa’s oldest liberation movement has lost much of its shine amid recurring corruption scandals, rampant inequality and sluggish economic growth. The party was founded in Bloemfontein as the South African Native National Congress in 1912 to fight against the white-minority government’s restrictions on black movement and land ownership. In 1944, Mandela cofounded the ANC Youth League, which resisted oppressive regulations with a more militant spirit. The apartheid government took power four years later, intensifying restrictions which it en ...
Law studies and the ANC Youth League: 1943–1949 Beginning law studies at the University of Witwatersrand, Mandela was the only native African student, and though facing racism, he befriended a number of liberal and communist European, Jewish, and Indian students, among them Joe Slovo, Harry Schwarz and Ruth First.[49] Joining the ANC, Mandela was increasingly influenced by Sisulu, spending much time with other activists at Sisulu's Orlando house, including old friend Oliver Tambo.[50] In 1943, Mandela met Anton Lembede, an African nationalist virulently opposed to a racially united front against colonialism and imperialism or to an alliance with the communists.[51] Despite his friendships with non-blacks and communists, Mandela supported Lembede's views, believing that black Africans should be entirely independent in their struggle for political self-determination.[52] Deciding on the need for a youth wing to mass mobilise Africans in opposition to their subjugation, Mandela was among a delegation that ...

é was one of the big stories of the weekend, particularly at the Camp Nou. The Catalan of Malian descent became the eighth youngest player to feature in the league for Barcelona and made his mark, nearly scoring a fine goal. Traoré's rise has been nothing short of extraordinary, having so impressed Tata Martino that he now regularly trains with the first team, despite having yet to start for Barcelona B. Adama is set to go from the UEFA Youth League to the real McCoy; from regular flights to the comforts of the senior squad's charter plane. Having been spotted by Tata Martino at the Mini Estadi on 12th October, he is one of the Barça coach's protégés. On that occasion, Martino went to see the B-team face Deportivo de La Coruña and was bowled over by the winger's pace and power. The latest in a line of talented wingmen produced by La Masia – after Pedro, Tello, Cuenca and Deulofeu – the 17-year-old also made a big impression on André Villas-Boas, who was in the crowd. The Portuguese coach has in ...

Seems like its now fashionable for politicians to utter controversial sentiments that sparks critics/ debates in the public domain, or its perhaps because of elections fever that has started winging-in. Let me forget about "You can't think like African in Africa" comment. Not so long the Premier of Gauteng Nomvula Mokonyane reportedly said "ANC does not need protesters dirty votes" but she has since apologized after the outcry by Burgersdaal residents. The Deputy President of the ANC Cyril Ramaphosa said according the news that "If all South Africans don’t vote, we will regress. The boers will come back to control us.” and he later justified his comment but did not apologize. Recently the Minister of Public Enterprise Malusi Gigaba was quoted as saying "If they [the public] do not register to vote, those who have oppressed us before and now claim that they love us will come back to rule this country" He was speaking at an ANC Youth League 69th anniversary lecture in Kgapane Township, Modjadjiskloof .. ...

In the meeting of ANC Youth League, comrades were asked to choose the bank in which the ANCYL funds would benefit most. They named them: ABSA, STANDARD BANK, FIRST NATIONAL BANK, AFRICAN BANK, NEDBANK, then Mathews Phosa noticed that Julius Malema was conspicuously quiet. PHOSA:Can we hear from you Julius, which bank would you prefer? "WITBANK", Malema answered without a blush!!

It was our sports minister, Fikile Mbalula, who was the key player in the rise and rise of President Jacob Zuma in the years between 2005 and 2009. Mbalula was the general in Zuma's "Stalingrad" strategy - frustrate, stall and challenge every small move by the state, the judiciary and ANC internal processes to keep Zuma from facing corruption charges. With Mbalula at the helm of a then-organised ANC Youth League, Zuma's nemeses were frustrated at each and every point within the ANC by Mbalula. Decisions to suspend Zuma, for example, were frustrated by Mbalula and a rising Nathi Mthethwa, now handsomely rewarded with a cabinet position he can neither handle nor deserves. In 2007, when Zuma was closest to facing the music, the ANC extraordinarily decided at its conference to disband the Scorpions - the investigative unit that had the goods on Zuma - in a move led by Mbalula and others. The justice committees in parliament moved extremely swiftly and within a year the Scorpions were no more. The two MPs who ...
Julius Malema IN TOP GEAR-WHAT A BRILLIANT YOUNG REVOLUTIONARY LEADER-FEARLESS “We must refuse to die on our knees begging for our revolution. We must die standing for what we believe in. When you die for the views that you hold it is better, because your soul, your consciousness will always be at peace with you. But if you sell your soul you will never be at peace with yourself.” “The autonomy of the Youth League must be defended. (Former youth leader) Peter Mokaba fought for this autonomy. The Youth League cannot be desk, but must be (an) autonomous body in (the) ANC.” “The Youth League must be allowed to think. They must not be suppressed. A political debate must remain a political debate. We must disagree in order to agree… This is what makes ANC to turn 100 years next year (sic), it is open debate in ANC. We must guard that jealously.” “Whatever happens we are ready for that. This ANC is bigger than individuals. We will leave the ANC and it will continue like that. Even if we are fir ...
HOW I WISH OUR PF CADRES WOULD SPEAK OUT PASSIONATELY LIKE COMRADE MALEMA THAN PANGANISATION OF FELLOW MEMBERS ANC Youth League (ANCYL) leader Julius Malema is ready to face his disciplinary hearing, but said yesterday that the real ANC was not a pig that ate its children. “Whatever happens to us, we are ready for that. People should know that even if we are fired tomorrow, our blood will remain black, green and gold,” he said at a gala dinner for young women in Centurion, Pretoria, yesterday. He would remain a loyal member of the ruling party, despite the fact that his charge of violating the ANC’s Constitution could see him being stripped of his membership. He agreed with secretary-general Gwede Mantashe’s recent utterances that the ANC was a big elephant. “We agree … The ANC is not a pig. It does not eat its own children, because the ANC that eats its own children is no longer the ANC we know.” Malema said regardless of the outcome of his hearing, scheduled for Tuesday, he would remain a ...

Calum1916 Young Celts aiming for maximum effort in Amsterdam By: Mark Henderson on 04 Nov, 2013 07:26 CELTIC Under-19s are the advance party in Europe this week as they head out to Amsterdam this morning (Monday) ahead of their UEFA Youth League tie with Ajax. The young Hoops will face their Dutch opponents tomorrow afternoon in their fourth European tie, and having won the corresponding match two weeks ago with a convincing 4-1 victory, they’re looking to complete the double. And Celtic’s young German goalkeeper, Max Oberschmidt, is relishing another opportunity of European football with the Hoops. The 18-year-old has been enjoying life in Paradise since joining on a six-month loan deal from Fulham back in August. Having been part of the impressive Celtic side which beat Ajax recently, he’ll be between the sticks again on Tuesday. Ahead of the trip to Amsterdam, he spoke to the official Celtic website. You’ve been featuring for the team in the UEFA Youth League. How high a standard is that for a ...
Januzaj ready for European bow David Moyes insists Adnan Januzaj is ready to make his Champions League bow but has stressed he will nurture the 18-year-old gently. After initially being registered for the UEFA Youth League, the promising forward was added to the senior squad once he became eligible to feature on the club's B list of players. It led to Januzaj being an unused substitute against Real Sociedad at Old Trafford and he will remain in the manager's plans for the trip to San Sebastian. "He’s definitely ready to play [in the Champions League]," asserted Moyes. "He’s not got a problem. We’re trying to bring the boy along at the right pace if we can. He’s not tired and we’ve not seen any dips in form just now so I’m sure we’ll continue using him and he’ll definitely be in and around the squad." There has been plenty of discussion of late about Januzaj's best position but the boss is happy to ensure he can make a positive contribution drifting off the flanks, as opposed to performing ...
Whoever feel offended when we speak out about ANC's failures to lead our country in the full emancipation economically then go hang. All those living in S.A are under ANC leadership and that grant us with the opportunity to criticise it when necessary, the same way we used to criticise them during our times when we were still part of the ANC Youth League. I have learnt that Lieutenat General Bethuel Zuma has been appointed as Gauteng Provincial Police Commissioner. It was not so long when we used to sing about Away with White Supremecy and its one of the principle that guide us as EFF, White Supremecy it was our number one enermy but it seems like it will tag along with the Zulu Supremecy has thats one of the problem that is starting to surface in our media landscape day in and day out. Zuma is desperate to save himself after his Presidential term comes to an end and now he is busy creating an assurance that his corruption charges should be laid to rest completely by giving away the highest position in ou ...
Just before I go I have to share this joke... The ANC Youth League ran out of paper, so Julius Malema came into the office with a blank piece of paper, he then said to them "Not a problem comrades just photo-stat this blank page I brought then problem is solved"
The young players of Real Sociedad confirmed their strenght in the second match of Youth League
Tom Cleverley says the introduction of the UEFA Youth League will help United's Under-19s gain invaluable European experience. Nicky Butt's side take on Real Sociedad at the AJ Bell Stadium at 14:00 BST on Wednesday afternoon with fans urged to go along and support the club's up and coming stars. Cleverley insists he would love to have been involved in these types of games when he was younger and believes the players will learn a lot from them. "The young lads have got a set-up now that's exactly like the first team - they're playing in the league, the UEFA Youth League and the Youth Cup which is like our FA Cup," explained Tom in an interview with MUTV. "It's almost an exact copy of what we do in the first team and it's great for them to get experience against different nationalities and travel like we do. I wish I'd had this experience when I was younger. "Sociedad will be a good, technical side and will pass the ball well like all Spanish teams do. It's good for our lads to be presented with different ...
Anti-Zuma leaders in Eastern Cape purged - claim By: Lubabalo Ngcukana, City Press 44 minutes ago Johannesburg - A cold war is raging in the Eastern Cape ANC ahead of next year’s general elections, and the first casualties are those who opposed President Jacob Zuma before the party’s leadership conference in Mangaung. City Press reported on Sunday that pro-Zuma supporters in the party’s provincial driving seat are purging those believed to oppose the current leadership and the axe is falling on them one by one. Speaking of recent "deployments", ANC provincial secretary Oscar Mabuyane last week said: “These measures have been necessitated by the ongoing imperative to improve the capacity and capability of these entities to serve our communities better. The ANC Youth League in the province, who were among Motlanthe’s most vocal supporters, are also facing the chop, having been disbanded by the youth league’s national Task Team. Political analyst Steven Friedman said purging in the ANC was ...
THIS DAY IN AFRICAN HISTORY Albert Luthuli is elected president Date: 16 October, 1952 The African National Congress (ANC) was founded as the SANCC in 1912. The popularity of this organization grew immensely and by the 1940s, a Women's League and a Youth League had been formed. Following the Nationalist Party victory and the imple- mentation of Apartheid in 1948, the ANC launched the Programme of Action strikes and boycotts against the oppressive regime. To go along with many of the other authors I've seen on here, I have a Fall question. I love fall - it's my favorite time of year. One of the things I love about fall is football. I watch a lot of it (I have a son who plays in college). So my question to you is...who is your favorite football team? It can be Pro, College, High School, or Youth League. Tell me what it is and I will pick three from the answers to win a copy of each of my books - Black Irish, Heartland and Queen of Savon!! (And my answer currently - the Martin Luther College Knights followed closely by the Iowa Hawkeyes and the Kennedy Cougars!)

Gnabry and Iwobi impressive as Arsenal trounce Marseille in Youth League September 18, 2013 Comments: 12 UEFA Youth League- Matchday One Marseille 1 (Iliev o.g. 76) Arsenal 4 (Iwobi 8, Gnabry 55, 60, Jebb 78) Arsenal’s youngsters made a hugely positive start to their inaugural UEFA Youth League campaign, with the young Gunners registering a 4-1 victory over Marseille yesterday afternoon. Alex Iwobi, who was extremely impressive, set Steve Gatting’s side on the way to victory, before Serge Gnabry, operating as a striker, scored twice, only for an own goal from goalkeeper Deyan Iliev to reduce the deficit. Arsenal continued to dominate proceedings, however, and added to the scoreline through Jack Jebb late on. Arsenal went into this game deprived of Chuba Akpom and Isaac Hayden, who are with the first-team squad for tonight’s fixture against the same opponents, as well as injured duo Gedion Zelalem and Jon Toral. There was something of a surprise as Austin Lipman was left on the bench, with first-year ...

"Anton Lembede gave a lecture on the history of nations, a tour of the horizon from ancient Greece to medieval Europe to the age of colonisation. 1950 Mandela trains at the Orlando (Soweto) Gym to explore his love of boxing. The Youth League opposes the one-day stay-away called by the Communist Party and the Indian Congress and supported by Dr Moroka, in protest against the banning of Dr Dadoo, Moses Kotane and JB Marks. The stay-away is a great success and subsequently the Communist Party is banned. Mandela's second son, Makgatho, is born. A turning point occurs for Mandela during a May Day stay-away when he witnesses police brutality, and across Soweto, 18 black people are killed. He hides in a nurses dormitory overnight where he shelters from bullets. 1951 The Youth League throws in its lot with the Indian Congress and together they organise a national work stoppage on 26 June. Walter Sisulu and Yusuf Cachalia are appointed joint secretaries of the Planning Council. The response is significant in Durban and the Eastern Cape. Mandela is elected president of the Youth League. We're however unshaken and we will soldier on in this battle, we will certainly confront the enemy and we will definitely defeat it. This is a clear indication that justice is a dream and myth in institutions of Higher Education. It is sad that even post-1994 such realities still confront us. Institutions of higher learning are strong centres of racism and victimisation especially NWU. TATEMENT BY Floyd Shivambu ON THE REPORTED EXPULSION FROM THE ANC YOUTH LEAGUE: 25 June 2013 It has come to my attention that the Zuma National Task Team (ZNTT) has taken a decision to expel me from the ANC Youth League. I find the decision hilarious because in all the public statements I have made since my suspension from the ANC; I have unequivocally said that I give away my membership of the Zuma African National Congress (ZANC) and consequently the ZANC Youth League. The public statement and opinion piece I wrote in August 2012 on Cyril Ramaphosa after he was associated with the killing of mineworkers in Marikana concluded by saying, “Perhaps the only thing he has done correctly was to endorse Jacob Zuma’s instruction to get some of us suspended from the ANC, because it would be so sad and painful to be associated with an ANC that kills its own citizens, justifies the killing and do nothing about instances of corruption, greed and crass materialism because its head is rotten with corruption allega ...
The ANC Youth League has expelled its spokesperson Floyd Shivambu because he "made it his full-time job to undermine the organisation".
THE BIRTH OF A FREEDOM FIGHTER Nelson Mandela in his own words; “I CANNOT PINPOINT a moment when I became politicized, when I knew that I would spend my life in the liberation struggle. To be an African in South Africa means that one is politicized from the moment of one’s birth, whether one acknowledges it or not. An African child is born in an Africans Only hospital, taken home in an Africans Only bus, lives in an Africans Only area, and attends Africans Only schools, if he attends school at All” “In politics, no matter how much one plans, circumstances often dictate events. In July of1947, during an informal discussion with Lembede about Youth League business, he complained to me of a sudden pain in his stomach and an accompanying chill. When the pain worsened, we drove him to Coronation Hospital, and that same night, he was dead at the age of thirty-three. Many were deeply affected by his death. Walter Sisulu seemed almost prostrate with grief. His passing was a setback to the movement, for Le ...
The ANC descended on an unrepentant Kenny Kunene on Tuesday for his criticism of President Jacob Zuma, labelling him a questionable character intent on destroying the party. But Kunene gave as much as he got, stating that Zuma was like a snake with a long tail that must be cut before he morphed “into an anaconda”. Kunene also claimed that ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe bitterly criticised Zuma in private while acting as his supporter in public. The businessman – also known as the “Sushi King” because of his penchant for sushi and attractive, half-clothed women – was speaking on the Gauteng radio station Kaya FM on Tuesday. While Mantashe, and the ANC later in a statement, rejected the claims, controversial former ANC Youth League spokesman Floyd Shivambu backed Kunene with an example. He made the startling comment on Tuesday that Mantashe had told him that Zuma was a liability to the ANC, shortly after it emerged that the latter had fathered a child with Sonono Khoza out of wedlock. “H ...

Former ANC Youth League deputy leader Ronald Lamola has called on the youth not to support Julius Malema's proposed new party, calling it nothing but "misguided militancy". Indeed when days are dark friends are few, trust no one but yourself and God, He will never turn His back on you. through thick and thin, He is always with you. Nyt guyz
My son, Muhammad Khalid Sayed, has just been appointed as the convenor of the Western Cape Provincial Task Team of the ANC Youth League. Pray that he be guided to carry out his leadership duties with wisdom and full commitment to truth and justice. He must always bear in mind the advice given by Sayyidina Ali to Malik Ashtar, his Governor to Egypt: "Do not make haste to do a thing before its time, nor put it off when the right moment arrives. Do not insist on doing a wrong thing, nor show slackness in rectifying a wrong thing. Perform everything in its proper time, and let everything occupy its proper place. When the people as a whole agree upon a thing, do not impose your own will on them and do not neglect to discharge the responsibility that rests on you in consequence. For, the eyes of the people will be on you and you are answerable for whatever you do to them. The slightest dereliction of duty will bring its own retribution. Keep your anger under control and keep your hands and tongue in check."
An interview with Mlungisi xuma.. On his letter about Kenny kenene.. TJ: Who is Mlungisi Xulu? Mlungisi Xulu: A normal South African citizen, as noted upon conclusion of the Open Letter. TJ: Are you an ANCYL member? Mlungisi Xulu: I do not see the relevance of the question, as I highlighted the capacity under which the letter was written. TJ: Do you have a post in the League? Mlungisi Xulu: From where I stand as a normal South African citizen, I have never had of posts in the ANC or its sub-organs, hence the question would have been beyond my comprehension even if I were somehow affiliated with the ANC. TJ: You mentioned Floyd Shivambu in the Open Letter, what did you mean? Mlungisi Xulu: I was referring to Floyd Shivambu the suspended former Spokesperson of the ANC Youth League, an active but yet suspended member of the ANCYL. I made mention of his name as his behavior of retaliating against the ANC through his involvement with the EFF, is exactly what members of the ANC should guard against. Th ...
