World Series & Derek Lowe
The World Series is the annual championship series of Major League Baseball, played between the American League and National League champions since 1903. The winner of the World Series championship is determined through a best-of-seven playoff and awarded the Commissioner's Trophy. Derek Christopher Lowe (born June 1, 1973, in Dearborn, Michigan) is a Major League Baseball starting pitcher for the Cleveland Indians. /5

I am not above hiring every ex-Red Sox player and using them to get to and win the World Series- exceptions (who's your Daddy) Pedro, Manny, and David Ortiz. Welcome to the clean shaven world Derek Lowe.
The Yankees signed Derek Lowe? That's going to make for an awfully interesting World Series with the and Dusty Baker.
So this week I'm going to Boston with brother-in-law Tom to see my favorite American League baseball team. the Red Sox, play Josh Hamilton & the Texas Rangers. Not even the news that my least favorite Sox player, That Diva Beckett, is scheduled to pitch diminishes my excitement about visiting Fenway. Last night, I dreamed that thanks to two surprise signings, Derek Lowe took the mound instead of TDB and Johnny Damon came out of the home dugout to launch a game-winning rocket --- causing the crowd to go wild as he rounded the bases and headed for home in a scene worthy of "The Natural" (if not Game 6 of the '75 World Series). Hey, I can dream, can't i?
Derek Lowe pitched for eight seasons in Boston, the last in 2004 when the Red Sox ended their 86-year World Series drought. He compiled a 14-12 record with a 5.42 earned run average over 33 starts that season before departing in 2005 for greener pastures on the West Coast with the Los Angeles Dodger...
In response to Jumping Jehosaphat McDermott's post the other day- I am NOT a Red Sox Fan! I used to love that team, but I can't root for a team anymore that doesn't reward players for what they've done for the team and brings in losers from other teams like Adrian Gonzalez and Carl Crawford that have done nothing for them. This started after the 2004 title when Pedro Martinez and Derek Lowe were let go for Matt Clement and David Wells. It continued when Johnny Damon was not given a big enough offer and they brought in Coco Crisp. It continued when Gonzalez was brought in and Adrian Belter, who had a huge 2010 for Boston, was let go and only made the World Series with Texas last year. The last straw for me was letting Papelbon go, a guy who was the first ever to have 30 saaves in his first six seasons. They didn't even offer him a contract because the pondexters in the front office don't think a closer is that valuable a position. Plus, letting Francona go, but not Theo (who'd still be GM if the Cubs didn' ...
World Series ring, trophy stolen from south Fort Myers home of Indians pitcher Derek Lowe (Media)
Classy gesture by the Red Sox to replace Derek Lowe's 2004 World Series ring as it was stolen from his home in Florida. Hopefully that the original WS ring can be recovered and that the dirtbags who stole it be brought to justice.
Derek Lowe was given a new 2004 World Series ring by the Boston Red Sox because the ring he earned was stolen during a robbery last year, WAY TO GO SOX!
Derek Lowe is a very talkative guy, but even he couldn't muster up words following a classy gesture by the Red Sox organization. John Henry, Larry Lucchino and Tom Werner presented Lowe with a 2004 World Series ring to replace the one that was stolen from his Florida home last month, and the Indians...
I don't care too much for the Red Sox, but the owners giving Derek Lowe a new '04 World Series ring was pretty classy.
manager Manny Acta said he's talked with RHP Derek Lowe, who had World Series ring stolen in house burglary, expects he'll be fine.
Cops: Lowe's World Series ring stolen: Cleveland Indians pitcher Derek Lowe had his World Series ring and trophy...
Former Red Sox pitcher Derek Lowe is missing his championship ring.
