"What the Latest Iowa Poll Reveals About 2016 (Hint: Not Much)" from "The Rothenberg Political Report" A new Des Moines Register poll of Iowans’ attitudes toward potential 2016 presidential hopefuls has already received plenty of attention. That’s not surprising, I suppose, given the unquenchable thirst from some about anything to do with the next presidential race. The survey’s results give us some information — most of it entirely predictable — but the data doesn’t tell us who will win the 2016 Iowa caucuses or the White House a little less than three years from now. In June 2010, an Iowa poll of likely 2010 GOP primary voters found 62 percent having a favorable opinion of Mitt Romney, while Sarah Palin (58 percent) and Newt Gingrich (56 percent) posted the next highest favorable numbers. Of course, former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum nosed out Mitt Romney to win the caucuses in 2012. Gingrich finished a distant fourth, behind the two leaders and retiring Texas Rep. Ron Paul. Texas Gov ...
Obama Had DC Police Murder Woman Because She Carried His Love Child Raw Story has the details: A birther preacher is pushing the conspiracy theory that Miriam Carey, who was shot to death Oct. 3 after police said she tried to ram her car into a barrier outside the White House, was the mother of President Barack Obama’s illegitimate child. Rev. James David Manning, pastor of Atlah World Missionary Church who believes the president was born in Kenya, claims that Carey’s family has called for a paternity test to determine whether the woman’s 15-month-old daughter was fathered by the president. While Carey’s family has indeed asked U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder to look into the fatal shooting, the only source for the claim about the family’s request for a paternity test seems to be additional videos posted online by Manning. Manning has previously claimed the President Obama murdered Andrew Breitbart and that Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich are secretly black. Manning also says that preachers sho ...
“Liberalism is a mental illness!” To fully grasp the strategies of the conservative movement, it is necessary to understand the delusions that drive them. Mitt Romney lost the 2012 election for a number of reasons. Some are specific to him: the flipflopping, the obvious contempt for the common people, and so on. But other issues still matter for the conservative movement’s prospects for later on. Here are two. The first thing is that the conservative movement’s thuglike political tactics didn’t work. They lied over and over, and Obama and the media let them get away with it for months. Romney’s Medicare lie almost cost Obama Florida. But they went for the lie a couple of times too many, on Benghazi and on the Jeep issue, and they were publicly spanked for it. They tried four hundred million dollars worth of attack ads, and the quest to retake the White House and the Senate fell flat. In fact one of the biggest targets of these ads, Sherrod Brown, still won. The vote suppression efforts backfir ...
CNN is officially bringing back Crossfire, the network announced on Wednesday. The reincarnated show will be hosted by former GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich, former White House adviser Van Jones, former Obama adviser Stephanie Cutter, and current MSNBC host S.E. Cupp.
I was watching this documentary on Bill Clinton recently, and they get to the midterm elections during his first term. Obviously it goes into the congressional Republican sweep and Newt Gingrich and all that noise. They go onto explain how this changed Clinton and his policies. At one point they're speaking to Clinton's then secretary of labor Robert Reich. He elaborates on the shift in the White House during this time and points the finger *** slaps *** Morris. I'll let the man do his magic here. "You know how if you're an astronomer, you can tell something about the movement of stars. You can tell if there's a black hole. That's what astronomers call it, when there's a gravitational field that really doesn't show up, but you can tell it's there because the stars are moving toward that black hole. It's a very powerful gravitational field. Even though you don't see it, you know it's there. I began to sense that there was a black hole in and around the White House. There was a powerful gravitational pull . ...

Former House Speaker and Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich said the current GOP would be “incapable of competing” against Hillary Clinton should she run in 2016. Gingrich on NBC’s “Meet The Press” called Clinton a “very formidable” person who is married to “the most popular Democrat in the country.” “If [the Republicans'] competitor in ’16 is going to be Hillary Clinton, supported by Bill Clinton and presumably, a still relatively popular President Barack Obama, trying to win that will be truly the Super Bowl. And the Republican Party today is incapable of competing at that level,” Gingrich said. Gingrich also said the reason Republicans lost the White House last month was “much more than Mitt Romney.” “We didn’t blow it because of Mitt Romney, we blew it because of a party which has refused to engage the reality of American life and refused to think through what the average American needs for a better future,” he said.
From Thom Hartman's blog. . . he rides into his second term with a mandate - as the only President since Dwight Eisenhower to be elected twice with 51% of the vote. But if there's one thing the President learned from his first term, it's that Republicans will at all costs destroy whatever mandate he's earned. In fact, on this day, four years ago, Republicans gathered at a fancy steakhouse in Washington, DC, just as President Obama was attending the inaugural balls. The likes of Newt Gingrich, Paul Ryan, and Frank Luntz all attended this meeting. And the purpose of the meeting was simple: How to destroy the Obama Presidency and retake the White House in four years. That night - Republicans committed themselves to four years of obstruction and economic sabotage. And that's exactly what they did - even though it didn't work out for them in the end. Today, the question is - what are Republicans plotting now? How will they sabotage the President's second term? Let's hope the President has learned lessons from ...
Herman Cain for president in 2016? And vice president Marco Rubio? Dana Perino as White House press secretary. Chris Christie as secretary of defense. Bobby Jindal as secretary of state. Newt Gingrich as treasury secretary. And Charlie Crist as secretary of education. (I figure the intellectually elusive former Fla. governor could mangle the federal agency beyond repair.) And Mike Huckabee as something. I don't know yet. But we got to fit him in somewhere.

I think this world is coming to an end -- read Newt Gingrich's liberal comments below -- i think Newt is converting to a Liberal Democrat: Gingrich on Romney’s ‘gifts’ comments: ‘It’s nuts’ By Dylan Stableford, Yahoo! News | The Ticket – 5 hrs ago Like several other prominent Republicans, Newt Gingrich slammed Mitt Romney's assertion in a conference call with donors last week that he lost the 2012 presidential election because of "gifts" President Barack Obama gave to blacks, Hispanics and younger voters during his first term in the White House. "It's nuts," Gingrich told guest host Martha Raddatz on ABC's "This Week" on Sunday. "First of all, it's insulting. This would be like Wal-Mart having a bad week and going, 'The customers have really been unruly.' I mean, the job of a political leader in part is to understand the people. If we can't offer a better future that is believable to more people, we're not going to win." [Related: Bobby Jindal calls Romney's 'gifts' comments 'absolutely wron ...
Oh the poor Republicans! The once Grand Old Party is now lying in the nursing home of American politics. How did they ever fail to unseat one of the most unsuccessful Presidents in history? How could they lose seats in the failing House and Senate? Way back at the start of this interminable campaign the GOP fat cats lusted for power alone, they tried to decide who could beat Obama and they came up with a very nice guy but not a politician. They scared away Mike Huckabee, weeded out Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry and Rick Santorum, bypassed a host of other proven vote getters, and produced a loss. Woe to those Republicans! A hue and cry has arisen that the Republicans need to do a lot of soul-searching. Duh! Their souls have been lean for several millennia now. In 1992 they surrendered the White House to eight years of Bill Clinton and his escapades. In 2000, hungry for morality in politics, I endorsed Alan Keyes; they could have raise him up to be the first black president. But they gave us eight years of ...
Guess the White House isn't for Sale! Casino mogul Sheldon Adelson gambled more than $54 million on Tuesday's elections. And he lost. The quixotic chairman of the Las Vegas Sands gaming company rose to the top of campaign giving in 2012, gaining notoriety for almost single-handedly staking the campaign of Republican primary contender Newt Gingrich and then continuing to make audacious contributions once Gingrich dropped out – with millions more going to GOP nominee Mitt Romney and two superPACs supporting his bid.
Busting Open Obama Energy Department's Den of Deception Posted by Christine Lakatos on November 5, 2012 at 1:07pm View Blog . Benghazi isn’t the only White House cover up being exposed through leaked emails. State Department staffers aren’t the only career officials being blamed for President Obama’s inexperience, questionable judgment, and obvious cover up. A similar saga has just been exposed in the latest chapter of the green-energy crony-corruption scandal. On October 30, The Daily Caller ran a feature titled: As many as fifty Obama backed green energy companies bankrupt or troubled. The piece cited the work Christine Lakatos and I did in our three-part “green-energy failures” series released in October. Immensely popular, the DC article was picked up by numerous sites, including Fox Nation and GOPUSA. That night, Newt Gingrich was on Fox News’ On the Record with Greta Van Sustren. After discussing the incriminating Benghazi emails, he pointed to another possible “October surprise.” Gi ...
Gingrich: Obama Cancels Events for Sandy But Not for Benghazi 10:26 AM, OCT 28, 2012 • BY MICHAEL WARREN Single PagePrintLarger TextSmaller TextAlerts On ABC News's This Week, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich suggested the White House's response to the Benghazi terrorist attack will continue to hurt Barack Obama's reelection campaign. "You notice that [Obama is] cancelling his trips over the hurricane,” Gingrich told host George Stephanopoulos. “He didn't cancel his trips over Benghazi, and you have to wonder, between Benghazi, the price of gasoline and unemployment just how much the burden the president is going to carry into this last week.” The Associated Press reports that Obama has canceled upcoming campaign events in Virginia and Colorado on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, so he can "monitor Hurricane Sandy" in Washington. Mitt Romney has also canceled an event in Virginia on Sunday, citing the storm.
Friday, 26 Oct 2012 10:05 AM By Newsmax Wires Former GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich predicts Mitt Romney will enjoy a comfortable victory on Election Day, taking home more than 300 electoral votes. He needs 270 votes to gain the White House. "I believe the minimum result will be 53 percent to 47 percent for Romney, over 300 electoral votes, and the Republicans will pick up the Senate,” the former House Speaker tells Fox News. “I base that on just years and years of experience.” Specifically, Gingrich cites what he calls the “Carville Rule,” named after Democratic strategist James Carville. The rule stipulates that whatever percentage number an incumbent receives in final polls is the number he’ll receive in the election, The Hill reports. For example, if Obama and Romney are tied at 47 percent on Nov. 5, that means Obama will garner 47 percent of the vote and Romney 53 percent. Important states are turning Romney’s way Gingrich says. “You start carrying a Wisconsin, Virginia's go ...
"I am not so shocked that Obama was given the Nobel Peace Prize without any accomplishments to his name, because America gave him the White House based on the same credentials." ~ Newt Gingrich
The Republicans have dropped all pretenses that this presidential race isn't about race. And they've brought in the suit and tie set in playing the dirtiest card in the political deck. Hyperbole and unrelenting criticism are part and parcel of both parties opposition to whoever is the current occupant of the White House, Democrat or Republican. Lord knows, G.W. came in for his deserved share. But, in their desperation, the Republicans have blown by hyperbole and criticism into the disgusting world of pure, unadulterated and undisguised racism. Being fitted for their own custom sheets befitting recent blatant racist comments are Newt Gingrich, John Sununu and that ignorant collection of redneck Obama-haters from the leadership of the Mecklenburg County Republican Party in Southern Virginia (surprise, surprise). This latter bunch photo-shopped depictions of President Obama as a witch doctor and Neanderthal cave-man…something to do with the ‘birther' issue. The leader of this pack is a true neanderthal, ...

"The liberal social agenda is summarized in the final phrase of the U.S. Pledge of Allegiance and it is marching forward successfully. I was born in 1924 and during my 87-years I have seen the spirit of liberalism enjoy many victories: Two Quakers elected president, Herbert Hoover and Richard Nixon; one president elected to four terms, FDR; a small businessman elected president, Harry Truman; a Catholic in the White House, JFK; a movie actor elected president, Ronald Regan; a Republican President opens relationship with a communist nation, Richard Nixon; a violator of our legal code forced to resign the presidency, Nixon; an accused violator of our moral code escapes impeachment, Bill Clinton; a black citizen overwhelming elected to our nation's highest political office, Barack Obama; and currently a thrice married Catholic is endorsed by Protestant evangelicals as a presidential candidate, Newt Gingrich. In my lifetime prohibition was tried and failed, young adults, those between 18 and 21 year of age we ...
I hate to kick Republicans when they are down (ok, not really). You guys had a huge selection this year, Donald Trump flirted with a run as did Sarah Palin, then you had Michelle Bachmann, Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry, Herman Cain and Rick Santorum. Out of the lot you picked Romney, how many candidates do you need to find someone who isn't a total loser? I know some of my Republican friends are fiscal conservatives. Well, the last time (and only time in my life time) that happened was with a Democratic President, and a Republican Congress(yes I said it) that wasn't so obstructionist. If you have a Republican legislator tell him not to be afraid to compromise. The Democrats have the White House for another four years lets move forward together!
My first and number one pick for the GOP presidential candidate was Allen West followed by(in order of preference) Michelle Bachman, Herman Cain, Rick Santorum,Newt Gingrich and lastly Mitt Romney. My man Allen would of kicked that little Marxist *** that belongs to the Muslim in the White House.
Top Ten Reasons Chris Christie Is Not Running for President 10 As always, he’s following his gut 9 Wants to spend more time with pie 8 There isn’t a Quiznos within five miles of the White House 7 Afraid of going up against the Newt Gingrich juggernaut 6 Doesn’t own a tie without a mustard stain 5 He was advised against it by his closest confidante, Duncan Hines 4 Constitution requires every candidate to be able to see their feet 3 Can’t understand response because of chewing 2 Hank Williams, Jr. just compared him to Stalin 1 He was born in Kenya
Strange, how the Three Fates conspire to alter the lives of men. Had they chosen another to gain victory in our political primaries, possibly Newt Gingrich or Michelle Bachmann, you can wagger with some assurance that the Republicans would offer the same vigor and allegiance to that winner. It matter not to a Republican who the best candidate is, only that they cannot tolerate a black man in their White House. Even if Joe the Plumber had been chosen, he would have been endowed with magically talents of un-worldly financial acumen that rivals professional economist. I do not think their plan is working as well as expected. America is not fooled this time and we are unlikely to buy another replica of GWB anytime soon.
Governor Christie has put New Jersey back on sound financial footing. His record includes rolling back pensions and revamping teacher tenure without raising taxes. He works with a Democrat legislature in New Jersey. He has been successful in working with Democrats and their union allies largely because of advice he offered to Mitt Romney: Tell the truth. He has used his larger-than-life personality to work with Democrats and feels that the key to any success is having a good relationship with legislators. Governor Christie suggested that the President probably doesn’t have friendly relationships with Congress. Perhaps this is why we see such a negative, nasty tenor towards Congress from the White House. Comparisons of President Obama to President Bill Clinton surely haven’t helped; Republicans could work with Bill Clinton because he understood how to get things accomplished. Hearken back to the days with Clinton as President, Bob Dole as U.S. Senate Leader, and Newt Gingrich as the U.S. House ...
I've noticed this week that both Mitt Romney and Newt Gingrich have been talking about what a great President Bill Clinton was. They have pointed out how he balanced budgets and reformed welfare. Talk about flip flopping! These guys and the Republican Party tried to run President Clinton out of the White House at one time. President Clinton was the best President America has had in my lifetime. I'm glad the Republicans have finally seen the light.
We can have a brilliant presidency with the Clintons back in the White House...we can have two women in the US Senate from New York...we can use all hands on deck among the champions of conservative politics...superstars with George W. Bush and his clan, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman, Ron Paul, Rand Paul, Paul Ryan, Ron Portman, Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry and others campaigning for our American dreams and way of life and protection of our freedom.this year and this important race for 2012.
Here's one designed to stir the drink: Watching the first episode of "Political Animals"- and loving it! There are some OBVIOUS parallels to real life people and situations, but I will not venture there - at least, not right now. However, one of the themes/sub-plots of this show is the White House's first openly *** (or *** child/occupant. Made me think about all the family values (yes, read "GOP" office holders/candidates/opinion makers) proponents who either have been proven to be not so "family value" oriented, like the CO minister with 5 kids and head of the 15,000 church organization for family values who was snorting speed and having *** sex - Oops! BUSTED! - or, how about Newt Gingrich and his *** sister (didn't she just marry her longtime partner? If I'm right - you go, girl! Congratulations and Best Wishes! The ads for the political action committee, Restore Our Future, are created by McCarthy Hennings Media Inc., whose president, Larry McCarthy, produced an ad during the 1988 presidential campaign linking Dukakis, then governor of Massachusetts, to Willie Horton, a black inmate from that state who committed armed robbery and rape after he was granted a prison furlough. What the other countries of the world think of us: GERMANY...The Republican presidential contest in America is a freak show says Marc Pitzke in the "Der Spiegel". The candidates vie with one another to spew the most outrageous hard-right positions, denying evolution while endorsing torture and joking about electrocuting illegal immigrants. How did a major party in the world's sole superpower become a club of liars, debtors, betrayers, adulterers, exaggerators, hypocrites, and ignoramuses? These know-nothings are enabled by the U.S. press that has been neutered by the demands of political correctness so that it can't say what's obvious: these people are daft! Instead, it proclaims one clown after the next to be the new front-runner. The one-time favorite, Newt Gingrich, is actually considered an intellectual merely because he can create sentences with multiple clauses. Scarcely a one has even the basic grasp of foreign policy. One said Africa was a country; another that the Taliban rule in Libya. Collectiv ...
~ We All Have a Choice in the 2012 Election ~ By Joan Ruaiz If the worse-case scenario were to occur and we end up with a President other than Barack Obama (which is not out of the realm of possibility, as there are powerful forces working *** this as we speak), what will happen then? How will you feel when you have to look at this new President on the television. a President who talks in bumper sticker slogans, while being divisive. ideologically driven, and grossly arrogant, and who governs with regard to his own base and not all Americans? How will you feel when the new President nominates partisan cabinet members like Phil Gramm for Treasury, Jeb Bush for the Justice Department, John Kasich for the Office of Management and Budget, Scott Walker for Labor Secretary, Paul Ryan for Health and Human Services, Rudy Giuliani as Secretary of State, John Mccain as Secretary of Defense, and Newt Gingrich as UN Ambassador? National News Gingrich To End Presidential Campaign Next Week April 25th, 2012 2:48 pm Associated Press WASHINGTON (AP) — Newt Gingrich began taking steps Wednesday to shut down his debt-laden White House bid, setting the stage to endorse one-time rival Mitt Romney Next Week and rally Republicans behind their apparent nominee. Gingrich had a friendly telephone conversation Wednesday with Romney and had started planning an event where he would throw his support behind the likely nominee, Gingrich spokesman R.C Hammond said. The pair agreed to work together to unite conservatives against President Barack Obama. “It’s clear Romney is the nominee and ...
Penguin Bites Newt Gingrich Among the many earthly beings who already dislike Newt Gingrich (primary voters, a few ex-wives, et. al) we can now add... penguins. Reuters reports: Newt was nipped on the finger by a penguin during a private tour of the famous St. Louis zoo on Friday before he spoke to the National Rifle Association convention, zoo officials confirmed on Monday. Gingrich, who is trailing in the Republican race for the White House and is under pressure to withdraw, passed unscathed through Big Cat Country and avoided contact with the crocodiles in the Herpetarium. But his visit took a turn when a Magellanic penguin pecked at the candidate's hand. Newt will be fine; according to the zoo's PR director, "A Band-Aid took care of the injury." But let's talk about that penguin: Was the attack politically motivated? An indictment of the NRA? An undercover Greenpeace operative? Bill Clinton in a tiny penguin suit?? Readers, get out your tin foil hats. By Lauren Kelley | Sourced from AlterNet Posted at ...
Even though Gingrich has yet to concede ( Newt has never been encumbered by many of the facets of reality ), it has become apparent to most that Mitt Romney will be the Republican nominee for President in the upcoming November general election. In anticipation of his impending victory, Mitt has devised a plan to utizize the abundant skills of his vanquished primary opponents in his administration. Here are a few: 1. Rick Santorem- Secretary of Delusion. His campaign speeches spoke volumes of his qualifications. He will also represent the Tea Party in the Romney Administration. 2. Newt Gingrich- Secretary of the Buffet. This is somewhat of a surprise since most had pegged NJ Governor Chris Christie for the position, but Christie has agreed to be the White House special envoy to the Krispy Kreme. 3. Ron Paul- He will be on the White House staff whose duties will include, chasing children off the White House lawn on weekends and sitting in his rocker on the curb yelling at cars on Pennsylvania Ave. to s ...

Indeed, when one factors in no fewer than four highly questionable primary or caucus outcomes, the Republican establishment is showing signs of not only forgetting what they learned at electoral politics class, but cribbing from the Democrats’ textbooks. Behind Romney in an increasingly suspect Republican race for the nomination lurks the unsettling Rick Santorum (“Republicans, I think to our credit, have sort of morphed away from the Goldwater idea that really government just needs to be smaller..”) and the unpalatable Newt Gingrich. Congressman Ron Paul, who is clearly the only candidate remaining who considers the preservation of true Constitutional liberties a matter of absolute honor, has been shut out of the spotlight thanks to a political establishment which—from the White House to Speaker John Boehner’s office—hopes that if they wish upon a star, he’ll go away. Short of that, they’ll behave like ACORN volunteers “community organizing” their desired outcome. The odds of Paul sur ...
