In a move that surprised the rugby world, veteran Welsh winger Shane Williams has been added to the British and Irish Lions squad. The 36 year old former World Player of the Year was due to work as a radio pundit an the 1st test against Australia this weekend but has changed his plans after receiving the call up. Lions coach Warren Gatland confirmed that Williams will play against the ACT Brumbies on Tuesday then leave the camp on Wednesday. Williams, who has been playing 2nd tier rugby in Japan with Mitsubishi Dynabours, is 1 of 3 players called up with English backs Brad Barritt and Christian Wade also named to play against the Brumbies. Irishman Rory Best will captain the side which also features Sean O'Brien and Robert Kearney, making his 1st start of the tour, while Simon Zebo is named amongst the replacements.
