Did you know that Ted Nugent filed a deferment to avoid the Vietnam War? These dudes don't really believe what they sing/spe…
Ted Nugent was born in 1948 and eligible to serve in the Vietnam War. One can assume he was granted a lottery number from the Selective Service; however, that information is not in the Public Domain at this time. In 1969, he was reclassified as 1-Y. Nugents’s reclassification was apparently a far more colorful affair and included high media involvement. Among the “top” sources resulting from a Google search of Nugent’s military history is thesmokinggun.com. According to that source, the 1-Y classification was issued to registrants saddled with significant medical or mental issues. That language does not appear in Selective Service literature.
Coming up next. More opinions on war veterans from Vietnam War hero and conservative, Ted Nugent. Oops, wait.
With the Vietnam War raging, young Ted Nugent was not so anxious to bear arms on behalf of his country. The 64-year-old musician, now a vocal gun advocate and member of the National Rifle Association
Hey, right-wingers, this is your spokesperson. LOL! "In a 1977 High Times article, Ted Nugent stated that he took crystal meth and defecated in his pants in order to avoid being drafted into the Vietnam War. [1] Nugent reaffirmed this in a 1990 interview with Detroit Free Press, stating that "...a week before his physical, he stopped using the bathroom altogether, virtually living inside his pants caked with excrement and urine." Sorry to say, he hails from Detroit, MI. My guess is, he had one too many puffs off his meth pipe.
Ted Nugent has the audacity to pander to the masses to thank our really BRAVE WARRIORS, fly the flag, and act like he is an upstanding, patriot when he did everything he could to avoid the draft and do his duty during the Vietnam War! You are nothing but a foul-mouthed, blowhard, egotistical, coward...and you can't sing!
THIS POST IS FROM WOLFF (from the SD HARLEY RIDERS)...thanks WOLFF.GREAT STUFF. The point is, our American troops DIED They died in the fields and in the POW camps. The Viet Cong were not wondering who made money from oil . . . they were just killing us. *** they were butchering their own kind, whoever helped our troops. they were there because they were drafted for service to our Country. Wrong or right, it was a conflict we went into, and had no choice but to serve. Well, unless you fled to Canada, or were Ted Nugent (he crapped in his pants and let it sit for days, then reported to his draft office; they rejected him of course; nice move Ted, a real piece of work you are). Yeah Ted, tell us again how you love hunting, guns and bows . . . than no one will take them away from you. *** you wouldn’t pick up a rifle to serve your Country, let alone a change of pants. What Jane Fonda did, despite of who defends her, is a war crime against America. Yes, she had a right to protest, many did, but they did ...
Ted Nugent: Patriot, no. Draft dodger, yes! Sitting on the board of the NRA, hunting, loving all guns, thinking everyone should be packing a concealed weapon, vitriolic rhetoric and hating and threatening Barack Obama do not make anyone a patriot. Ted Nugent is no exception. Patriotism is about more than words. Talk is cheap. True patriotism is about service to one's country, which includes serving in the military when called upon to do so. But Ted Nugent never served in the military. In fact he was a draft dodger. Despite his current support for our military, Nugent openly admitted that he avoided the draft during the Vietnam War. In an October 1977 interview with the magazine devoted to marijuana, High Times and in 1990 with the Detroit Free Press, he told how he avoided the draft. This is what he had to say in 1977: "So I got my notice to be in the draft. Do you think I was gonna lay down my guitar and go play army? Give me a break! I was busy doin’ it to it. I had a career, Jack! I ceased cleansing ...
Twisted Sister singer Dee Snider recently told Noisecreep.com that fellow rocker Ted Nugent dodged the draft during the Vietnam War by defecating and vomiting on himself for a week, and by using hard drugs.Snider said: “Ted’s always been a gun-toting conservative, but what gets me is that he was act...
In my humble opinion, Ted Nugent is living proof that one can still function with cerebral atrophy. Believe how you wanna believe... bury your guns in the backyard if you're that paranoid about the government coming to take your guns... but for God's sake, stop using this imbecile as the spokesperson for your 2nd amendment debates. The man shoulda stuck to music... If I'm not mistaken, Mr. Nugent was a draft dodger!! Mr. Conservative himself... I am a gun owner, although I am one who does not think that Obama is gonna kick down my door and take my guns, but I assure you... A big mouthed, loud talking, Vietnam War draft-dodging 'person' is NOT someone I would want to be advocating for my rights. I am sick of seeing his psychotic face plastered all over the place. I'll advocate for myself, if that's the best we've got, thank you very much.
Wow, just read a 1977 High Times article on Ted Nugent, self proclaimed great patriot and hero of the far right, on how he avoided the Vietnam War draft... Ted (the great American) " I got my physical notice 30 days prior to. Well, on that day I ceased cleansing my body. No more brushing my teeth, no more washing my hair, no baths, no soap, no water. Thirty days of debris build. I stopped shavin’ and I was 18, had a little scraggly beard, really looked like a hippie. I had long hair, and it started gettin’ kinky, matted up. Then two weeks before, I stopped eating any food with nutritional value. I just had chips, Pepsi, beer-stuff I never touched-buttered poop, little jars of Polish sausages, and I’d drink the syrup, I was this side of death, Then a week before, I stopped going to the bathroom. I did it in my pants. poop, *** the whole shot. My pants got crusted up." GEART AMERICAN!
In their attempt to throw the American People off the trail, on the heels of their latest election-theft victory, the Democrats are covering up the Petraeus affair (by cooperating openly and fully with all inquiries) because Petraeus is secretly Obama's father, born to a North Vietnamese mother during the Vietnam War. Hence, Obama actually IS a foreign-born commie! Get Ted Nugent on the line!
Hey is Ted Nugent trying to boast about freedom & honor when he did anything & everything he could to get out of the Vietnam War?
Spend Memorial Day the way Ted Nugent spent the Vietnam War: avoid the military, don't work, and strum your guitar while getting blown.
Editorial commentaries in the Detroit Free Press today about Ted Nugent pointed out how Nugent got out of being drafted during the Vietnam War- He soiled his pants for the physical examine. Nugent fits well with Republicans like the *** Cheney who had five deferments, because as he claims he had better things to do in life, like sending others off to war, and George W. Bush, who hid in the air national guard to avoid the draft. Bush then went AWOL, never finishing his duty tour. Republicans very good at starting wars they have the middle class and poor fight, while they reap big profits from war-profiteering. P3
During an interview Ted Nugent admitted to making himself sick so he could fail the military physical examination for the Vietnam War Draft. Which he did fail. The interviewer then asked him if he, "felt any guilt for letting another man (draftee) die in Vietnam in his place? Nugent replied "thats probably one of the reasons i am pro military, pro guns today, and cheers on the troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, to make up for his shameful deeds during the Vietnam War days. I will pass that on to the parents of my friend Elmer Aldus who at the age of 18 was drafted and died in Vietnam. I will also let my husband who served in Vietnam know just how bad Mr. Nugent feels. How comforting!
Ted Nugent seems to have gotten way more passionate about guns ever since he successfully avoided holding one during the Vietnam War.
Fox news says there is a double standard b/w treatment of Ted Nugent and Common. Well Fox News, the difference is Ted Nugent had two automatic rifles in his hands when he threatened then Senator Obama (2007) and Senator Hillary Clinton and Governor Schwarzenegger and then AGAIN day before yesterday in clear words by saying to his NRA brethren to "chop their (Obama and Biden) heads off" in November and "if Obama wins in November, I will either be dead or in Jail". Common spoke out in poetry against then President Bush in 2004 when he was speaking out against the illegal Iraq War (yes the one where Bush and buddies lied to us). Oh and to come to think of it, the "Patriot" Ted Nugent of today wasn't much of a patriot when his country called him to serve during the Vietnam War. Mr Nugent should re-evaluate his words. Oh, wait, I am sure the Secret Service already had him do that today. :-)
Hopefully the POS Ted Nugent gets waterboarded by the FBI today Nugent soiled himself for 30 days to get out of the Vietnam War like his heroes *** Cheney and Limp *** Limbaugh .
The right to bear arms per 2nd Amendment to U.S. Constitution is so often cited by Vietnam War draft dodgers like Mitt Romney, Ted Nugent, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, Glen Beck and even Justice Scalia and *** Cheyney. But, they never ever mention the responsibility to bear arms even in those days and times when guys like General George Washington and Governor Jefferson of Virginia tried long and hard to get their kind of would-be patriots to stop complaining and enlist in the force of real patriots fighting battles long after the Boston Tea Party. Indeed, most young men reasoned it was wise to avoid engagement until after the war was won by functional patriots and France. We know that fear is very human and that men suffer a thousand haunts into even old age for their acts of cowardice as young men avoiding responsibilities others braved and died for. For Vietnam Era cowards to now cite the Second Amendment as their Badge of Honor is amazing indeed. If America were ever threatened internal or extern ...
for your information, a loud mouthed chicken hawk named Ted Nugent who allegedly was a rock band dude and now sits as a board member of the NRA threatened the President of the USA today. He avoided the draft during the Vietnam Era - how I have not yet found on the Internet. He claims to not use drugs or drink yet has wild parties where he threatens female guests. Guess he is not drunk while doing it. When searching for his war record, I found that Romney was 19 in 1966 and supported the draft but used his status as a Mormon missionary to run off to France to avoid the draft. Birds of a feather flock together. Romney is not for women unless they are in a skirt and submissive and Nugent is the ultimate right wing nut. Why would any red blooded man who served want to support a bunch of lying chicken hawks who are not even anti war protesters willing to get beat up for their beliefs??? Nugent is ugly as a pug dog. (incidently, Mr. Obama was only 5 when the Vietnam War officially began.)
