Toronto Raptors to honour Vince Carter in celebration of 20th ...:
Good Evening, I'd like to take this time apologize for my harsh words towards the people I have knighted as "Bandwagoners" during the Toronto Raptors run in the 2014 NBA Playoffs... At the end of the day, we were all supporting a great team, and great organization. It was truly a special/beautiful thing, to see the tens of thousands of people cheering on the Toronto Raptors in Maple Leafs Square aka "Jurassic Park" during EVERY PLAYOFF GAME... I've never really seen anything like that in a long time. My words/feelings come from my long suffering, and deep passion for the Raptors (anyone that knows me from high school can tell you). From the highs (Vince Carter) to the lows (Vince Carter), I was there... Many of you were there, too... Many of you were not... But... What counts, is that we were all there together when the Raptors needed us most. When you can get the likes of Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett (2 of the NBAs dirtiest players) to speak highly of Raptors fans AFTER winning the series, THAT is an a ...

Christopher Wesson "Chris" Bosh (born March 24, 1984) is an American professional basketball player and voice actor who currently plays for the Miami Heat of the National Basketball Association (NBA). A high school "Mr. Basketball" in Texas, Bosh left college at Georgia Tech after one season with the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets men's basketball team to enter the 2003 NBA Draft. He was selected fourth overall by the Toronto Raptors in a very competitive draft class that included multiple future NBA superstars such as LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Carmelo Anthony. While at Toronto, Bosh emerged as one of the young stars in the league; he became a five-time NBA All-Star, was named to the All-NBA second team once, appeared for the US national team (with whom he won a gold medal at the 2008 Olympics), and supplanted former fan-favorite Vince Carter as the face and leader of the Raptors franchise. In the 2006–07 season, Bosh led the Raptors to their first NBA Playoffs berth in five years, and their first eve ...

NBA "Star" Placed On Waivers The Orlando Magic have waived veteran forward Hedo Turkoglu, a move that has drawn interest from the Los Angeles Lakers and Atlanta Hawks. Turkoglu’s level of play has been on a steady decline since the 2007-08 season when he averaged 19.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and five assists for Orlando. The deterioration of his play coincided with a five-year, $53 million contract he signed with the Toronto Raptors prior to the 2009-10 season. After one season in Toronto, Turkoglu was traded to the Phoenix Suns in exchange for Brazilian guard Leandro Barbosa. He played 25 games in the desert before being traded back to Orlando, along with Jason Richardson, Earl Clark and a first-round pick for Vince Carter, Mikael Pietrus and Marcin Gortat. Turkoglu never lived up to his hefty contract, but the Lakers and Hawks appear to think he’ll turn his fortunes around with a change of scenery.
Happy 37th birthday to UNC F Antawn Jamison ('99). Antawn was a three-year star at Carolina who played on two ACC Tournament championship teams and two Final Four teams, both occurrences in 1997 and 1998. Antawn averaged 19.0 points and just shy of 10 rebounds throughout his career. During his junior year, he led the team with 22 points and 10.5 rebounds to go along with 58% FG shooting, leading all players in 1997-98. Antawn was a 1995 McDonald's All-American out of Providence High School in Charlotte, was a three-time All-ACC First Team and All-American, was the 1998 ACC Player of the Year and ACC Tournament MVP. He also was the Naismith, Wooden, Oscar Robertson, and AP National Player of the Year in 1998, all good enough to have his jersey retired at the Smith Center, which was done on Senior Night against Georgia Tech in 2000. Antawn was drafted with the 4th pick by the Toronto Raptors, but was traded to the Golden State Warriors, who had the fifth pick and ironically drafted Vince Carter. Both pi ...

If the Toronto Raptors sign Vince Carter to a one day deal so he can retire a Raptor then I quit supporting them. The last thing I want to see is a ceremony honouring a guy that singlehandedly set the organization back to ground zero.
