New releases for Friday 14th November. This weekend sees two films hit our screens, both with great A-List casts and great reviews to go with them. First up we have Benedict Cumberbatch in the gripping drama The Imitation Game. Based on the real life story of Alan Turing, its set during the dark days of war with Turing and his team of codebreakers in a race against time. We also have another big release in The Drop, a gritty hard-boiled crime drama set in the Brooklyn underworld. It stars Tom Hardy (who visited our cinema earlier this year) and James Gandolfini, in sadly one of his last films. Looking for laughs in the run up to Christmas? Well we have the family friendly sequel Nativity 3: Dude where's my Donkey lighting up the big screen. All times and booking can be viewed here: what you looking forward to watching?
Likely UK actors in contention for BAFTA or Oscar in 2015? Benedict Cumberbatch, Brendan Gleeson, Tom Hardy, Eddie Redmayne, Timothy Spall.

"Marvel looking at Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hardy for Doctor Strange" OH MY GOD
Can we agree that while Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hardy would be good for a Dr Strange movie, Dr Strange needs to be John Cusack
So Marvel Studios is looking to cast Doctor Strange and two names of interest are Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hardy. Who would you cast?
Deadline reports that Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hardy are potential leads in Marvel's
Topic of the day: Tom Hardy, He may not have reached Benedict Cumberbatch or Tom Hiddleston's level of cred, and that may have to do with his hilariously bad performance as Bane in Dark Knight Rises and that he was in the dreadful This Means War movie with Chris Pine. Is he due for a comeback? He's going to be in the Mad Max remake which I am looking forward to seeing. Also, he's going to be in the one man show Locke and starring along side the late James Gandolfini in The Drop, so I think we'll hearing more about him soon.

Hmmm, so many villains in Marvel and D.C (Only Batman in D.C really) have been played by Brits recently with Christopher Eccleston as Malekith in Thor 2: the Dark World, Tom Hiddleston as Loki in both Thor and Avengers, Sir Ian Mckellen as Magneto in X-men 1, 2, and 3, Vinnie Jones as Juggernaut in X-men 3: The Last Stand, Cillian Murphy as Scarecrow in Batman Begins, TDK and TDKR, Liam Neeson as Ra's Al Ghul in Batman Begins and TDKR, Tom Hardy as Bane in TDKR, Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky (The Abomination) in The Incredible Hulk, Hugo Weaving as Red Skull in Captain America, Guy Pearce as Aldrich Killian and Ben Kingsley as The Mandarin (Kind of, *** you Marvel film making people, *** you) in Iron Man 3, Rhys Ifans as Dr. Kurt Connors in The Amazing Spiderman and Alfred Molina as Doctor Octopus in Spiderman two. In addition some non-superhero films, Benedict Cumberbatch as Khan in Star Trek Into Darkness, Ian McDiarmid as Palpatine/Darth Sidious in Star Wars I, II episodes III, Ray Park as Darth Maul in S . ...
Two filmmakers are currently trying to get to the top of an "Everest" film first: Doug Liman and Baltasar Kormakur. But the question is which one will get there first as one has lost a lead, and the other some financing. So let's start the Liman flick, which had been slated to star Tom Hardy. Well, according to Deadline, with a March 2014 start date eyed, scheduling didn't work out and now the hunt for a new leading man is on. Benedict Cumberbatch is apparently in the mix to take over Hardy's role as George Mallory, with Joel Kinnaman, James Mcavoy, Tom Hiddleston, Henry Cavill, Luke Evans, Dan Stevens, Matthew Goode and Jim Sturgess being tossed around to play George Finch, in the adaptation of Jeffrey Archer's "Paths Of Glory" that will tell the true tale of the first man to climb Mount Everest. But it seems like a wishlist right now,
Benedict Cumberbatch to take Tom Hardy's place in Doug Liman's EVEREST ?
2012 was the year of Tom Hardy. 2013 is shaping up to be the year of Benedict Cumberbatch. via :

Somebody in Hollywood make a movie directed by Chris Nolan starting Tom Hardy and Jennifer Lawrence and Benedict Cumberbatch as the villain
As you have realized prolly realized by now movies are one of my favorite things in the world so tonight we are going to look at my favorite actors. 10. Matt Damon( Big fan of his Good Will Hunting is incredible and was also in The Departed and The Bourne movies 9.Tom Hardy ( I am yet to see him in a bad movie he's in Inception, Lawless and The Dark Knight Rises to name a few). 8. Christian Bale ( he is so dedicated to his roles he is awesome in all the Batman movies. American Psycho, Rescue Dawn and of course Newsies are some of his other really good movies. 7 Joseph Gordon Levit ( He has the most potential to move up this list in the future he had played such diverse roles from 500 days of Summer to Looper not to mention Imception and The Dark Knight Rises) 6. Benedict Cumberbatch ( he's fantastic in the BBC's Sherlock as well as being great in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy and Star Trek into the Darkness) 5. George Clooney( he has been in so many good flicks The Ocean movies Goodnight and Good Luck and Th ...
As the Sherlock star prepares to play a dapper 70s *** in Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, Benedict Cumberbatch tells Emma John about the joys of kitesurfing, being single and punching Tom Hardy – while presenting the sharpest looks from the coming season
Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberbatch have this man in common, and now he's directing a film:
If I could look like Tom Hardy and have the voice of Benedict Cumberbatch or Jeremy Irons I'd be so happy. DAMMIT.
Watching a Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hardy movie and it's brilliant :)
Heard a rumor that both Benedict Cumberbatch and Robert Pattinson are being considered to take over after Daniel Craig as James Bond. My response is as follows: If anyone could screw up James Bond more than Roger Moore, it's either of them. Why not Tom Hardy, Micheal Fassbender, Ewan Mcgregor or Clive Owen? They'd do MUCH MUCH better!!!
So crazy to see this much awesome in one movie ie; Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, John Hurt, Colin Firth, Mark Strong, Benedict Cumberbatch Weird little movie about espionage in the 50's call Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy
Gary Oldman, Mark Strong, John Hurt, Toby Jones, Colin Firth, Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hardy all in the same film, epic!
Ugh. I just want to marry Tom Hardy.
yesterday, I watched Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy DVD on the laptop. It's a good film, the script is very good - it's not obvious condensing the whole plot in a 2 hour film. Gary Oldman and Ciaran Hinds are good, Benedict Cumberbatch has a good role, John Hurt adds gravitas, Colin Firth is credible. I am not sure that Tom Hardy and Mark Strong were 100% right, the Soviets are depicted are bloodthirsty and that scene with the bathtub was more cruel than necessary. If you don't compare this film with the TV series, you will be pleasantly surprised. If you do, then you will miss the some of the original actors who play Esterhas, Allerline and Bland. The film is a British/French/German cooperation filmed in England, Hungary and Turkey.
TOP 8 ACTORS I WANT TO SEE IN STAR WARS 7: 1: Christian Bale-I think he would make an epic bone chilling Jedi Knight. He embodies everything that is a Jedi Knight 2: Benedict Cumberbatch-Easy choice since he is working with JJ on Star Trek 3: Idris Elba 4: Guy Pierce- I thought it would be cool if he played like a smuggler or a bounty hunter 5: Sean Bean- He would lend this incredible Shakespeare like gravitas as a Jedi Master 6: Jason Clarke- Would be an awesome Sith Warrior 7: Viggo Mortenson- He would be an awesome Jedi Master, maybe in charge behind Luke 8: Tom Hardy- Easy choice for the main villain
Watching Tom Hardy movie after Tom Hardy movie is just making my pseudo-crush worse.
Rachel Weisz. Kathleen Turner. Patrick Stewart. James Earl Jones. Andy Serkis. Helen Mirren. Christopher Lee. Tom Hardy. Keith David. Tom Waits. Leonard Nimoy. John Rhys-Davies. John Hurt. If any or all of these people were to be voice actors for dragons, I would be very happy/delighted/ecstatic. Of course, Benedict Cumberbatch is going to play Smaug later this year. That will be something great to hear. But we need to get more people with great dragon voices actually playing dragons. :)
Bafta needs your help (and votes) for this year’s Bafta EE Rising Star Award! Nominees were selected from hundreds of actors and carefully chosen by the EE Rising Star Award jury, made up of leading film industry figures including jury chair Pippa Harris and actor Benedict Cumberbatch. Five actors for you to choose from & they are: Juno Temple, Andrea Riseborough, Elizabeth Olsen, Alicia Vikander and Suraj Sharma. You might have to Google them, they are after all rising stars. You’ll know Temple from ‘Shadow Dancer’, Olsen headed up ‘Martha Marcy May Marlene’, Vikander starred in ‘Anna Karenina’ and Sharma shared a lifeboat with a tiger in ‘Life Of Pi’. The award’s previous winners include the likes of Tom Hardy and James Mcavoy, so that gives you some idea of the glory that traditionally awaits the victor. It’s the only Bafta to be voted by the British public, and you can do so right now at:
Ok, if Tom Hardy got braces, and sounded like Benedict Cumberbatch, he'd be a nearly perfect specimen of a man... Can I get an "amen"? Or at least your opinions? LoL (of course, Jacob is my perfect one :) )
Scene from the TV movie Stuart: A Life Backwards (2007). Benedict Cumberbatch as Alexander Masters, Tom Hardy as Stuart Shorter.
What makes me watch 'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy' again and again? Because even w/ Tom Hardy, Mark Strong & Benedict Cumberbatch...
The things I would do to Idris Elba, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Benedict Cumberbatch, Tom Hiddleston, Tom Hardy and Michael Fassbender. Whew! 😩😳
Watching Stuart: A Life Backwards because it has Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberbatch in it
Cool - looks like Bryan Ferry, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jude Law and Tom Hardy made the Brit's Best-Dressed list, too. (Sadly, Robert Pattison and Elton John were included which lends the whiff of "besmirched" to the whole thing... and I suppose The Royals and Sir *** make the cut every year).
There is a scene in Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy where Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberbatch tussle. It should win all the awards.
Not sure if I want to watch some Tom Hardy or Benedict Cumberbatch today... Oh wait! TTSS or Stuart both have both ;)
I was thinking about Billy Wilder's 1944 classic film noir Double Indemnity earlier tonight and thought I'd pose this question to you. If you were directing a remake, whom would you cast in some of the more prominent roles. Here's my first pass: Walter Neff (Fred MacMurray): Benedict Cumberbatch Phyllis Dietrichson (Barbara Stanwyck): Scarlett Johansson Barton Keyes (Edward G. Robinson): Al Pacino Lola Dietrichson (Jean Heather): Jennifer Lawrence Mr. Dietrichson (Tom Powers): Tom Hardy
from Tom Hardy in Warrior, now to Benedict Cumberbatch in Hawking... *** all these British actors and all their talent :)
Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Hardy in one frame! *nosebleed*
Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy - really good. Gary Oldman's great and worth it to see Benedict Cumberbatch punch Tom Hardy in the face.

Lovely old interview with Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberbatch when they starred for "Stuart: A Life Backwards" in 2007.
Tom Hiddleston's career is about to blow up since he killed it in Avengers. Next British actor to make it huge with American audiences will be Tom Hardy, followed by Benedict Cumberbatch. Those are my predictions anyway.
Hollywood, please get on a movie starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tom Hardy and Benedict Cumberbatch. I'd watch the *** out of that!

Star Trek News - The Sun, out in England, asked readers to name their Sexiest Man, and the winner was Trek's new baddie, Benedict Cumberbatch. He beat out some huge stars, including Justin Bieber, Tom Cruise, David Beckham and even Tom Hardy. Read on for details.
Benedict Cumberbatch is pretty sexy, but Tom Hardy definately is the sexiest man of 2012!
They should do remake/sequel of Die Hard w/Tom Hardy in Bruce Willis role & Benedict Cumberbatch as Alan Rickman's longlost son
I've not read it yet. But I've watched the film starring Tom Hardy as Stuart.. Amazing!! Benedict Cumberbatch also stars! : )
