Written by Affan Karaca. What an election, Man no matter how this thing plays out its been fun! It started off with a bang Supreme Court rules Obamacare Constitutional and then all *** breaks loose! The right was up in arms it was Mitt's turn to win the nomination but we had a crazy republican primary none the less. so many front runners that fizzled out! trump screaming about birth certificates, Bachman saying HPV shots make people retarded, Rick Perry could remember thing he wanted to cut, newt dreamed of a moon base, Santorum and his sweater vests, even Herman Cain as it turns out was freaky deaky! Ron Paul was considered a joke, Tim Pawlenty when out before the race even got started and let's not forget Sarah Palin testing the waters with her bus your, and poor John Huntsman tried to run but I guess it was like the Mormon lands-end model highlanders in the end there can be only one! The definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again, hoping for a different result. When Tim Pawlenty was Governor, he went to the first inaugural Honor Flight dinner (My dad was a guardian for the trip, so that's why we were at dinner). He shook everyone's hand going into the building, and he looked at me (back when I had long hair) and said, "Cool hair, man". And just like that, he won the award for the most awkward politican.
Conservatives resort to paying for door knockers, except for Tim Pawlenty, who shivers uncomfortably at the word "knockers."
alright, since the 2012 election is basically over, let's start speculation on 2016. I think we're looking at Hilary Clinton, Jennifer Granholm, Cory Booker, and Deval Patrick. Maybe Biden again (token white male). On the Republican side, Jon Hunstman, Tim Pawlenty, Paul Ryan, Marco Rubio, Sarah Palin, Chris Christie, Ron Paul (or Rand), and Rick Santorum. Thoughts?

7. He is now handing out goodies. He hopes that the bill (and pain) will not come due until after he is reelected in 2012. He would like to blame all problems on Bush from the past, and hopefully his successor in the future. He has a huge ego, and Dr. Krauthammer believes he is a narcissist. 8. Republicans are in the wilderness for a while, but will emerge strong. Republicans are looking for another Reagan, but there will never be another like him. Krauthammer believes Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty and Bobby Jindahl (except for his terrible speech in February) are the future of the party. Newt Gingrich is brilliant, but has baggage. Sarah Palin is sincere and intelligent, but needs to really be seriously boning up on facts and info if she is to be a serious candidate in the future. We need to return to theparty of lower taxes, smaller government, personal responsibility, strong national defense, and state's rights
expanding the map late in game? baaahaa. with Tim Pawlenty why didn't u all earlier? oh tim left campaign...u all desperate now
A Summary of Charles Krauthammer's comments made after the 2008 election: 1. Mr. Obama is a very intellectual, charming individual. He is not to be underestimated. He is a cool customer who doesn't show his emotions. It's very hard to know what's behind the mask. The taking down of the Clinton dynasty was an amazing accomplishment. The Clintons still do not understand what hit them. Obama was in the perfect place at the perfect time. 2. Obama has political skills are comparable to Reagan and Clinton. He has a way of making you think he's on your side, agreeing with your position, while doing the opposite. Pay no attention to what he SAYS; rather, watch what he DOES! 3. Obama has a ruthless quest for power. He did not come to Washington to make something out of himself but rather to change everything, including dismantling capitalism. He can't be straight forward on his ambitions, as the public would not go along. He has a heavy hand and wants to level the playing field with income redistribution and punis ...
Just as bad as actively choosing to watch/listen to Tim Pawlenty. Honestly, people-take a serious look at yourselves.
"To Govern" has two main definitions: To Rule, and To Manage. In places like Syria and Saudi Arabia to govern means to rule and the ones doing the ruling are the government. But in a democracy to govern means to manage, and the managers are NOT the government. In our democracy WE are the government. We elect people to positions of employment for the purpose of managing our government for the benefit of each and every one of us. If we continue to understand the United States Government as separate from ourselves, this country and its principles are doomed to fail. Romney's entire career has been aimed at making himself more and more personally wealthy and powerful. (To Rule) Obama's entire career has been aimed at empowering every citizen of this country. (To Manage) If you are disappointed in the Obama administration's first term, don't vote him out in favor of a ruler; instead, vote out the members of Congress who obstruct for the sake of obstruction, in order to rule over us with the backing of conc ...

Great quote from Tim Pawlenty: "the Constitution was designed to protect people of faith from government, not the other way around."
I was browsing in the one remaining bookstore on earth and saw a giant one by a junior marketing guy from American Apparel who swears he was behind every media manipulation on earth (he really takes credit for Tim Pawlenty joining the race). Called "No I'm Lying" or something like that. Realized during the intro that this is a Penguin imprint, a major publisher, and if he's so good at his job why the heck hasn't anyone ever heard of it! The proof is pudding.
Side note: I guess we know what Tim Pawlenty's video producer has been up to

"'As a result of the failure to make Dodd-Frank tough enough, we still have the too-big-to-fail problem,' former Democratic Senator Ted Kaufman of Delaware argues. The largest financial giants are larger than ever. The top 50 U.S. bank holding companies control assets of $15 trillion, a 500 percent increase since 1991, according to the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. The share of those assets controlled by the 10 largest firms has more than doubled over the past two decades, from less than 30 percent to more than 60 percent. If No. 1 JP Morgan or No. 2 BofA were to falter during a future period of market anxiety, the government would be forced to prop it up rather than risk financial Armageddon, Kaufman predicts." This quote is from an article by Paul M. Barrett titled "The Pinstriping of Tim Pawlenty" that was published in the October 29, 2012 edition of Bloomberg Businessweek.

The election’s polarization around climate, energy and the environment isn’t about the costs or relative importance of shifting to renewable power, protecting public lands or cleaning up air and water. It’s about the struggle between America’s economic past and its future.

Chris Christie has almost made me feel like he too may be human and although I will, under no circumstances, be voting for him in 2016, I see how he might be able to Rudy Giuliani this disaster all the way to the front of the pack. And honestly, compared to Paul Ryan, Tim Pawlenty and any of the other under-60 Republicans (God help us, Michele Bachmann) who may challenge him, that's not so bad.

One thing which makes me think Obama wins big; On Sept. 20 one of our states great opportunists, Tim Pawlenty, abandoned his Romney for Pres. co-chair position for big bucks lobbying job.

I also just read how President Obama has received yet another endorsement. This time from Hugo Chavez. So that makes Castro, Putin, and now Chavez to endorse Obama. I also read that the UN special rapporteur has warned us not to vote for Romney. The warning, as I understood it, was that we'd begin to behave too much like Americans again. In fact that would seem to be the common theme in all three endorsements and the warning. Keep letting domestic enemies (people who hate America and want to weaken it from within) run the country off course. It's not to hard to figure out who to vote for. I only hope Romney-Ryan will after getting elected work to reboot the Federal government and start cleaning up the corruption there. I know Tim Pawlenty (ex Governor of Minnesota) said one thing that would go a long ways towards that is to have President Romney sign an executive order limiting bureaucrats to two terms in any federal office. Imagine that, career bureaucrats converted to people who are out in 8 ye ...

As a caller said this morning on The Joe Madison Show, Newt Gingrich, Rick Santorum, Tim Pawlenty, and especially Gov. Rick Perry all characterized Mitt Romney as everything from a false truth telling, snake oil salesmen to a "vulture capitalist" all throughout the primaries. So isn't it tellingly peculiar that Tagg Romney never talked about his desire to "take a swing" at any of those guys, when they were bludgeoning his father without mercy. And, it's interestingly biased that he was apparently never asked such a question during that time period. I guess President Obama's genetic stock doesn't rise high enough on the societal totem pole to allow someone like him to question and directly challenge a man of Mitt "Mittzophrenia" Romney's status. Well, at least not half of Obama's genetic stock!

Kim Vz shared Richard Clarke's status. Yesterday. Mitt Romney is a big time Wall Street insider. It is estimated that Romney has a personal fortune of approximately a quarter of a billion dollars, and Wall Street money is being absolutely showered on his campaign. In a recent article entitled “The Big Wall Street Banks Are Already Trying To Buy The 2012 Election“, I detailed how numbers compiled by the Center for Responsive Politics show that M itt Romney is getting far more money from the “too big to fail” Wall Street banks than all of the other Republican candidates combined. The following is an excerpt from that article that shows how much money employees of those banks (and their wives) have been giving to Romney so far this year…. Goldman Sachs Mitt Romney: $352,200 Barack Obama: $49,124 Tim Pawlenty: $25,000 Jon Huntsman: $6,750 Rick Perry: $5,500 Ron Paul: $2,500 Morgan Stanley Mitt Romney: $184,800 Tim Pawlenty: $41,715 Barack Obama: $28,225 Rick Perry: $20,750 Jon Huntsman: $9,750 Newt ...
Just the facts! The following are the overall donation numbers from employees of the big Wall Street banks and their wives. Mitt Romney: $813,300 Barack Obama: $198,874 Tim Pawlenty: $101,515 Rick Perry: $58,900 Jon Huntsman: $28,250 Ron Paul: $13,104 Herman Cain: $2,715 Michelle Bachmann: $1,500 Newt Gingrich: $1,250 These numbers paint a very disturbing picture. Even though Romney's poll numbers are in the mid to low 20s most of the time, employees of the big Wall Street banks gave him $813,300 during the first 9 months of this year and they only gave $105,719 to the rest of the Republican candidates combined
You know the Romney campaign is getting ridiculous when even Fox News can't ignore the foolishness coming out of their mouths. I mean, Fox has tried everything short marching a Romney marionette out on The O'Reilly Factor to try and seal these undecided votes for them but Romney and Ryan just seem to be TRYING to be evasive at this point. You know what I think the Romney campaign needs? A closer: someone likeable that is sure to get the message out there. Tim Pawlenty jumped ship and Chris Christie's too stupid. Obama has Bill Clinton, who could sell chastity belts to Kim Kardashian. I know who would be perfect for Mittens: Zombie Reagan. They could have him do special guest appearances on Walking Dead, Thriller flash mob, guest judge on The Voice while doing a cover of The Monster Mash featuring Justin Bieber. It would be perfect.
“It’s gotten so bad for poor Mitt Romney that Tim Pawlenty – he was the co-chair of Mitt’s campaign – he resigned. Isn’t that kind of the ultimate sign that your campaign is in trouble, when Tim Pawlenty is afraid you’ll make him look like a loser?” – Bill Maher

Tim Pawlenty, the former Republican governor of Minnesota who criticized Wall Street while running for president last year, is joining the Financial Services Roundtable as president and chief executive officer.
There is something seriously wrong when all of the other Republican candidates all called Romney a liar Ron Paul called it correct at the debate when he called Romney a phony. Newt Gingrich called him a liar to his face, Jon Huntsman (former Gov. of Utah) called him untruthful, Gov. Rick Perry referred to him to his face as being out of touch with American voters, and Rick Santorium called him shameful. And these were his fellow Republican candidates. Tim Pawlenty was a bit more refined and just agreed to disagree with Romney's policies and indicated they were incorrect numbers and indicated he needed to go back and re-do his math. Maybe these men were all telling it like it is about this candidate who wants to be President. Hopefully, the American people will remember those debates, Mitt did not do so well, I think his upcoming debate with Obama is going to be a slaughter and Mitt is going to take a beating on national television (AGAIN). "Is it too late to nominate Tim Pawlenty?" -- Many members of the GOP base, to themselves, this morning.
The selection of Paul Ryan as V.P. has not added anything to Romney's campaign. Mark Rubio or Tim Pawlenty would have been better choice
when Mitt Romney had one of his sons call both Rob Portman and Tim Pawlenty to inform them that they were not their dad's choice for VP I think it spoke volumes to Mitt's character. I'm confused by the lack of Tim Pawlenty
If Tim Pawlenty's the absolute epitome of average GOP candidate, did Paul Ryan's VORVP factor in selection, or was it a gut pick?
Guest who showed up at lunch (at the Chisago County Senior Center). Yep, Rep. Chip Cravaack. It was fun to engage him. His defense of Paul Ryan's budget was that it was authored not by Paul Ryan, but by someone that had worked for Clinton. I had my doubts, but I reminded him the Clinton balanced the budget and invested in people, while Bush and Tim Pawlenty either gave tax cuts to the rich and in the case of Minnesota, we had deficits and higher unemployment and in the case of Bush, led us into the worse recession since the Republican caused Great Depression. Romney wants to take us down the same path. Cravaack wants to privatize medicare and destroy social security. This is one reason AARP is opposed to his policies.
Know what hasn't been talked about much in the last week? Tim Pawlenty as a potential Secretary of State.

Hypocrite much? ROMNEY CAMPAIGN ASKED FOR 10 YEARS OF TAX RETURNS FROM VP SHORT LIST | The Romney campaign required each of the candidates on its Vice Presidential short list to hand over 10 years of tax returns, the Daily Beast reported Thursday. That’s eight more years of returns than Romney himself has revealed to the American public — a move for which he’s been ridiculed from Republicans and Democrats alike. Former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R) previously indicated that he had been required to turn over a “bunch” of returns during the vetting process, but did not give a specific number.

Minnesota has a lot to be proud of, Norm Coleman and Tim Pawlenty are not two of them
I'm guessing right now that Tim Pawlenty wished he stayed in!
For any of my MN political friends, Tim Pawlenty was recently on the Podcast, available here:
Do you think Tim Pawlenty wakes up every morning and shakes his head in the mirror?
Did it include Roastmaster Tim Pawlenty's "blue set"?
Just walked by former Gov. Tim Pawlenty on my way into the office. So there's that.
The people and the mindset that killed 3,000 of our fellow citizens on September 11 2001, would have killed not 3,000, but 300,000 if they could have or 3 million or 30 million. We need to do everything we can within our value systems and legal structures to make sure that doesn't happen. Tim Pawlenty
I have noticed some of the people are upset with Mitt Romney for picking Paul Ryan for from Wisconsin as VP.Some people believe Tim Pawlenty from Minnesota should have been picked for VP.I believe Paul Ryan was a good choice. So the people who don't agree. Can cry a river .And deal with it.
I mean, Minnesota had Tim Pawlenty but Sarah Palin tops that any day.
Two of biggest GOP stars, Rep. and former Gov. Tim Pawlenty, drew the spotlight...
I watched some of the Republican convention last night. I was very impressed with Senator Rob Portman, both for what he said and how he said it. If the Republicans want to win the election, they need to get people who voted for President Obama to vote for Mitt Romney. To do this, they need to keep doing things like this: reasonable, non-accusatory, positive messages. (I still plan to vote for President Obama, btw). Tim Pawlenty, on the other hand, was embarrasing to listen to. He was like a comedian come down from the Catskills delivering one-liners. Think something like "Take my wife ... please". Maybe he was there to "energize the base" in the convention hall. I'd guess the average delegate at either convention gets a bit goofy by this time in the week. Concoleeza Rice gave an OK but not memorable talk. But, she is a black Republican woman with mainstream appeal. I have trouble thinking of many others who fit this description. I did not hear Paul Ryan speak; indeed, I have yet to hear him talk. He has g ...
I love watching the political conventions on television. Always have. I know who I am voting for so please don't try to change my mind. PLEASE. I just love the whole process. I thought the best speeches so far were from Paul Ryan and Ann Romney. Some other good ones too: Condi Rice, Susanna Martinez, Ted Cruz, Tim Pawlenty. Chris Christie was OK but capable of better. Rob Portman may be the dullest guy on earth. Mike Huckabee gave a great speech in 2008 but last night's was pretty lame. John McCain was, well...John McCain. My two all time favorites were in the fifties when some old geezer's false teeth came out at the Republican convention and he put them right back in and kept going. The BEST ever was Al Sharpton at the Democrat convention in 2004. He went off script, worked himself up into a dither over various grievances and victimization and somehow managed to get hopping mad at Abraham Lincoln. Something about not getting his promised 40 acres and a mule. Classic. John Kerry must have been praying fo ...
Some of my email feedback on last nights RNC speeches suggests that Team Romney/Ryan are being "too nice" and need a more "hard-hitting" campaign. One listener suggested we're going "to be nice right up to the time Obama is inaugurated again." Agree? I thought Paul Ryan and Condi Rice were pitch perfect! Rob Portman, Gov Susana Martinez, Tim Pawlenty & Mike Huckabee were all substantive speeches too. You?
So the big question everyone is asking is, why would Romney make a better President than Obama? Well, the answer is easy. It's the same reason Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, Gary Johnson, Ron Paul, Tim Pawlenty or any of the other candidates would have made a better Presdent than Obama; NONE OF THEM ARE OBAMA!!
An Open Letter to Tim Pawlenty. I met you seven years ago, and I hope you read this.

Second Night of the RNC: Greatest Hits Sen. Rob Portman: Obama says he deserves re-election b/c his economic policies have worked. Not in this universe Sen. Rob Portman: You can't spend your way, regulate your way, tax your way, or blame your way out of the mess we're in PR Gov. Luis Fortuño: We can out-think, out-dream, out-work and out-produce anybody in the world. Gov. Tim Pawlenty: Hard to say what Obama's worst mistake was: The stimulus. His energy policy. ObamaCare. Taxes. Joe Biden. Gov. Tim Pawlenty: When Paul Ryan speaks, Joe Bideb will finally get to hear what a real Vice President sounds like. Gov. Tim Pawlenty: Barack Obama is like a big tattoo. It seemed cool when you were young, but later you wonder: What was I thinking? The worst part is you have to explain it to your kids. Mike Huckabee: My parents didn't teach me to wait for Uncle Sugar to feed me, lead me and bleed me Mike Huckabee: Mitt Romney has given over 16 percent of his income to church and charity. I feel a lot better about havi ...
Wow MSNBC has gone completely off the reservation, they have no credibility as journalists after this convention. The next Vice President of the United States Paul Ryan hits it out of the park time after time. Check your records everyone he was my first choice for president before the primaries and now you know why. The most scared man in America tonight is Joe Biden. If Sarah Palin can clean your clock in a debate like she did four years ago you had better call in sick before facing someone with the intelligence and clarity of thought as Paul Ryan. Great speeches also by Tim Pawlenty, Mike Huckabee, Susana Martinez, and a predictably fantastic speech by Dr. Condoleezza Rice, a genius in every sense of the word and an inspiration to millions.
Interesting: Condi Rice, Susana Martinez and even Tim Pawlenty (!) are all trending higher than Paul Ryan...
Don't watch much TV; mostly Public Television or PBS. This week all their programming like the Nightly Business Report, The nightly News with Jeffrey Brown and Judy Woodruff and other good shows have been pre-empted by the Republican National Convention. Bummer! I tried to watch it for a few minutes. Tim Pawlenty was on and all he did was criticize and ridicule Obama and the Democrats. Everyone is good at somthing. Had to turn the TV off before I threw somthing at it.
"As a former governor, I know that leadership takes optimism, but not blind optimism." -- Tim Pawlenty at
Wait a minute: Paul Ryan, Eric Cantor, and Tim Pawlenty are different people? They're 3 separate human beings?!?
Tim Pawlenty and Paul Ryan each made my 8-year-old cry tonight. "He's saying such mean things, he's mean, turn it off *please* Mama." Sob.
What's this Tim Pawlenty talking about? What? His name is Ryan? Oh. Never heard of him.
Tonight's RNC Scorecard... Tim Pawlenty the former Governor of Minnesota and I guess wannabe standup comic was absolutely not worth listening to and gets the dreaded... Grade = Get lost. Mike Huckabee is a good guy with good idea's but he isnt exactly a motivational speaker... Grade = B- For the second night in a row a female gets up there and rips it up Condoleezza Rice where have you been all our lives. Your moving portrait of American values was inspirational. Girl, THAT was a Grand Slam. Grade = A+
Tim Pawlenty and Paul Ryan are just not ready for prime time
He drove the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile in college. MT Tim Pawlenty does realize Paul Ryan never worked in the private sector?

Our President Obama needs our support now more then ever, you know what to do! CNN: GOP heavyweights offered biting criticism of Barack Obama's presidency at the party's convention, with Sen. John McCain saying Obama "is not being true to our values." Tim Pawlenty, a rival of Mitt Romney's during the primaries, called Obama's presidency a failure and said: "We need Mitt Romney now more than ever." Romney's Vice Presidential pick, Rep. Paul Ryan, will soon deliver the biggest speech of his career, telling delegates that time is running out to solve the nation's fiscal problems.
"Welcome to President Obama's retirement party!" - Tim Pawlenty
Tim Pawlenty used the private sector line over and over. He does realize that Paul Ryan never worked in the private sector?
Tim Pawlenty's speech made him sound like a junior high school kid using every bad cliche to "rank out" his opponent. Yes "rank-out" the put-down term from the 60's. To quote Groucho: "I thought my razor was dull till I heard Pawlenty speak". He makes Mitt sound like Mr. Personable.
Tim Pawlenty has the same amazing comedic delivery as a young Dave Coulier.
Way to go Tim Pawlenty..former Governor of Minnesota...My 3 Kuds are watching the RNC...love hearing their comments and questions on Policy...even my 7 yr old is yelling out view points WOW!!..can't wait for them to also hear the other side..the DNC...
Tim Pawlenty to President Barack Hussein Obama: It's OK to fail Mr. President, in fact most people fail in their first job!
Tim Pawlenty is like the white Richard Pryor. In that neither of them has made a funny joke in the last ten minutes.
Tim Pawlenty and Chris Christie are just not ready for prime time. Paul Ryan was a great choice for Romney. Condi Rice was much better!
Wow, Tim Pawlenty is hilarious! He's like the Rodney Dangerfield of Convention speakers!
I wonder what would happen, if I grabbed Tim Pawlenty's tie and pushed the knot up to his neck, real tight! Nevermind. The hot air would blow out of his head and scald me.
oh I get it Tim Pawlenty is playing the role of Carson Daly
Tim Pawlenty, the latest pol from the state where Walter Mondale was Mr. Excitement.
A lot of angry GOP ex-Catholics - Tim Pawlenty, John Kasich, Sarah Palin, (big story if were liberals)
'Hannity' is LIVE from Tampa at the RNC with special political coverage of the night's speeches and can't miss interviews with GOP heavy hitters John Kasich, Tim Pawlenty, Eric Cantor and Scott Walker! Make sure to tune into Fox News at 9 p.m. ET!
Top Ten Things that may occur today at the Republican National Convention 10.Paul Ryan will win the Screech from Saved By the Bell Look A Like Contest 9. Governor Chris Christy will be thrown out of the Golden Corral buffet – AGAIN. 8. Joe Biden, normally not eligible, will win the “Spiro T. Agnew Stupid Things I said” award. Todd Aiken and longstanding champ Pat Buchanon demand recount. 7. Donald Rumsfeld and *** Cheney will offer up their rendition of Peaches and Herbs “Reunited”. Nobody gets hurt. 6. Bill Clinton and Andrew Weiner will attempt to crash the “Republican Women’s Caucus”. Barbara Bush will hold them in a headlock until authorities arrive. 5. Tim Pawlenty will be found shirtless in the Mosh Pit. 4. Governor Mitch Daniels from Indiana will debate someone’s kneecap. 3. Donald Trump’s hairpiece will become self aware at 12:34pm and devour almost the entire Idaho delegation before its put down. 2. Ted Nugent and Sarah Palin will present a clinic on “101 fun things to do ...
The convention was totally "legitimate" until it got too saucy for poor, little Tim Pawlenty.
Soledad O'Brien can carve another notch into her rhetorical shillelagh after making Tim Pawlenty look like a xenophobic *** on Wednesday. After giving Romney surrogate John Sununu a what-for about Medicare, O'Brien got into a similar debate with Pawlenty when she confronted the former Minnesota.
Gov. Tim Pawlenty appeared on ABC's This Week with George Stephanopoulos and was thrown for a loop when asked how many tax returns Romney demanded of him during the Vice Presidential vetting process:
Following John Sununu’s disastrous appearance on CNN against Soledad O’Brien, Mitt Romney sent his national campaign co-chair Tim Pawlenty down to the hot seat to set some facts straight about so-called “cuts” from Medicare. He wasn't successful, and Soledad gave him the REAL facts, discrediting Pawlenty's accusations. Great job, Ms. O'Brien! We need more journalists like you!
Tim Pawlenty's memory problem - or is it an honesty problem? Why, he just cannot recall how many years of tax returns he submitted to Willard. But we should trust Republicans. "So more than two?" asked George Stephanopoulos, the host of ABC's "This Week." "Well, we don't get into the details of the vetting process, but I gave him a bunch of tax returns," Pawlenty replied. "I don't remember the exact number of years." Can't blame the guy. It was weeks or even months ago. LMAO!
Afraid to send Sununu against her again, the Romney campaign sends Tim Pawlenty, with similar results
Hooray for Soledad O'Brien of CNN for not backing down to John Sununu and Tim Pawlenty when she said Romney and Ryan aren't telling the truth onm the campaign trail. great work Soledad!
Gov John Sununu. Gov Tim Pawlenty. Rep Jason Chavetz. knocks out all GOP comers. *** she's fierce!
Who knew Tim Pawlenty was a bargain shopper. Ran into him at Nordstrom's Rack.
President Obama's new nickname for Romney will not eclipse the genius of Pleasantville extra Tim Pawlenty, but it's pretty good.
Tina Dupuy: If John McCain would have picked Tim Pawlenty in ‘08, the Ryan pick would look pretty irresponsible. But now the GOP has the Palin Standard.
Would Mitt Romney, as CEO of Bain Capital, have accepted a single year of tax returns (selected by the company, no less) when determining if Bain would buy a company? I”m sure he wouldn’t, but yet he insists the American electorate do just that when evaluating his qualifications for OUR presidency. Governor Romney demanded “a bunch” (as described by Tim Pawlenty, who incredibly, could not recall how many) of years of returns while vetting potential VP candidates, but insults voters by blithely declaring “you people” (as described by Ann Romney) will have to be satisfied by his single return. Just what are those Swiss, Cayman Island, and Bermuda accounts all about? “Circulate” (look at picture closely) your concern!
The Associated Press Last modified: 2012-08-15T05:19:02Z Published: Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012 - 10:18 pm MINNEAPOLIS -- Incumbent Justice David Stras and Bemidji magistrate Tim Tingelstad will face each other in the November election for an associate justice seat on the Minnesota Supreme Court. Stras and Tingelstad both advanced in Tuesday's primary, while Maplewood attorney Alan Nelson was eliminated. Stras was a University of Minnesota law professor and former clerk to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas before Gov. Tim Pawlenty appointed him in 2010. Tingelstad is making his third run for the Minnesota Supreme Court on a Christian platform. Nelson advocated for maintaining the separation of church and state.
I have a question: What does it say about Mitt Romney that he had his son call Rob Portman and Tim Pawlenty to tell them that he chose Paul Ryan? Really?
The presumed VP nominee abandons his budget's plan to save $700 billion from Medicare
On Wednesday's Starting Point, host Soledad O'Brien had a chat with Romney surrogate Tim Pawlenty about a new campaign ad claiming that President Barack Obama has cut $716 billion from Medicare.
Romney campaign co-chair No matter how you say it, Obama's plan means a cut for
I don't believe in you Mr. Romney, in the words of Tim Pawlenty, "get off "my side," you're not helping" , via
Pawlenty, A men, we need to outlaw negative ads all together!
Among today's letter topics: Tim Pawlenty and the Minneapolis bike coordinator.
Is it true Tim Pawlenty has never left Minnesota? I think I remember reading that somewhere.
Tim Pawlenty reacts to being left off GOP ticket
Tim Pawlenty: The negative tone of the campaign doesn't help either side:
The only reason Chris Christie is doing the RNC keynote is that he absorbed Tim Pawlenty like the bubble from The Prisoner
Tim Pawlenty explained the Medicare debate in a very understandable way.
Mitt committed his own political and social faux pas when he outsourced calling Tim Pawlenty to give him the bad news to his son, Tagg. Does this mean when the 3:00 AM call comes to a White House inhabited by Mitt Romney, it will be answered by a call center in India?
I’ve supported Steve Forbes, Fred Thompson, Tim Pawlenty, Jon Huntsman … I know how to pick winners.
He may as well have, after today's train wreck appearance on 'This Week'
In case you needed more examples of what kind of man Mitt Romney is: After he chose Paul Ryan as his running mate, Romney couldn't even be bothered to call the others like Tim Pawlenty and Chris Christie to give them the news. He had one of his sons do it for him!
I have to admit that I'm kinda sad we're not all ripping Tim Pawlenty apart right now.
Mitt Romney selects Paul Ryan for VP and has his son break the news to Rob Portman and Tim Pawlenty.
From the Majority Report, live M-F 12 noon EST and via daily podcast at Tim Pawlenty was interviewed over the weekend about his thoughts ...
Tim Pawlenty is an evangelical Christian! Romney is data mining!!
"Killing Bin Laden could have been done by any President" Tim Pawlenty. Suggesting how useless Obama is. Really? Is that why ur beloved Bush failed dismally in 8 years to get Bin Laden? Obama got him after 2.5 years of trying. Not that there was any need to kill that guy (propaganda murder). The country was in surplus after Clinton's Presidency and Dr. War got it into a deficit with numerous unnecessary and unfunded wars coupled with tax reductions, which Obama inherited. American amnesia knows no bounds. This is why Joe Biden summed it by saying "Osama Bin Laden is dead and GM is alive".
Newsflash courtesy of Chuck Todd MSNBC White House correspondent: Sen.Rob Portman and Gov. Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota and Congressman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin were top contenders in the running for VP candidate of Romney's . Guess who had to break the news? : You were NOT picked but thanks anyway . Not the man who likes to fire people --No, he had his son call them up late Saturday night and unload the news.
Tim Pawlenty in an interview today describes the capture of Osama Bin Laden as if it was no big deal because it was an accomplishment achieved under President Obama. I am guessing the victims of 9/11 and their families and all victims of terrorism feel otherwise...as well as all Americans and decent people around the world.
The Republican Party who claims to be the party of National Security currently has two candidates at the top of their ticket...neither of which have any foreign policy experience...or military experience. Meanwhile President Obama ordered the mission that captured and killed Osama Bin Laden...and Tim Pawlenty has the nerve to attack Obama saying that is all he has accomplished in his term...might I remind him this is something GW Bush couldn't accomplish in 8 years. I am guessing that the families of the victims of 9/11 would consider this event bringing Bin Laden to justice...would be much more significant in the minds of the families whose loved ones lost their lives and all Americans for that matter. Shows Pawlenty's true colors in my opinion. 9/11 changed the world forever...I guess some absent minded individuals have already forgotten that. Beyond that there are many other things Obama has accomplished like saving Detroit's Auto Industry when Romney said "Let Detroit Go Bankrupt". We are paying atten ...
Tim Pawlenty provided Romney "several years of tax returns" as a part of Romney's VP Vetting Process. Is that ironic?
We're trying to get at two of of the biggest questions in Minnesota this morning following Mitt Romney's selection of Wisconsin U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan to be his running mate. How will his choice impact the vote here, and what will former Gov. Tim Pawlenty do next, having once again been passed over in ...
Does Mitt still have time to get rid of Paul Ryan and change VP's to someone like Marco Rubio or Tim Pawlenty? He better if he wants to have a chance to win in November. It's like Palin all over again!!
Yes, I made Tim Pawlenty, Rob Portman, and Paul Ryan show me years of tax returns. No, you're not gonna see mine.
Paul Ryan looks like a Wisconsin version of Tim Pawlenty
Tim Pawlenty said he gave Mitt Romney 'a bunch of tax returns' as part of the VP vetting process. Romney has only disclosed one year to the public.
Hey Mittens, if you "like firing people who work for you" why did you have your son call Rob Portman and Tim Pawlenty and tell them they were not his daddy's pick as VP. Your idea of real leadership?
The other day I heard a lower to middle class worker say he supported the rich, the Republican party, and the constitutional amendments. You have to ask yourself, why would someone support those things when they are not in their economic interestes, nor are they for the common good. Their response is because they hate the poor who take welfare paid by their taxes. What these "tea party" types don't get is that cutting taxes for the rich, doesn't create more jobs, but it does shift the tax burden to them. You want jobs, then give tax breaks to the middle class; they will create the demand that will lead to more jobs. They also don't release that the poor represent less than 5% of the federal budget. The big cost is the military and the wars created by Republicans. And talk about personal responsibility; they still fail to hold Bush response for the worse recession since the great depression with all the Republican sponsored de-regulation that lead to all the economic problems. They also fail to remember t ...
Wonder if Tim Pawlenty got a fruit basket, at least.
Tim Pawlenty and Paul Ryan have both indicated that they gave "several years" worth of tax returns to the Romney campaign. I assume I don't need to point out the problem here.
So how would you like to have been Tim Pawlenty yesterday, who was informed not by Mitt himself, but by Tagg Romney that he had been passed over for the Vice Presidential nomination for the second ...
I was hoping Mitt would pick Tim Pawlenty for his running mate, but then maybe Tim wouldn't be interested in being a Vice President ?
Mitt Romney believes that the American people (the help) only need two years of his tax returns to know enough about his financial background to vote for him. Well, he doesn't believe that -- that's just how it's going to be, peasants. He's said again and again we're not getting more than two returns from him -- "I'm not a business!" was his latest non-explanation explanation. Did Romney ask for only two tax returns from his potential running mates? Get real. Buzzfeed: "Mitt Romney's presidential campaign requested "several" years of tax returns from potential Vice Presidential picks, senior adviser Beth Myers, who ran the search, told reporters Saturday. Myers said vetting documents were stored in safes in a secure room at campaign headquarters for review by attorneys. Asked what was inside the safes, Myers replied "tax documents, everything we used.” And how many years? "Several" she said, declining to provide a more specific number. "Mitt Romney reportedly provided 23 years of returns to John McCain' ...

And how many years' worth of returns did Ryan provide?
Jezus people, do you hafta run into a brick wall to understand?

Well at least he didn't pick Tim Pawlenty, the wingnut from Minnesota. We have enough to be embrassed about with Michele Bachman.
Determined to foil reporters tracking flights from Wisconsin to Boston, the Romney campaign booked Paul Ryan on a flight from Chicago to Hartford, Conn., where the 42-year-old lawmaker was picked up in a rented SUV by 19-year-old Curt Myers, son of the aide leading the Vice Presidential search proce...
Talk about careful choice of words. Tim Pawlenty appeared on ABC This Week and said he was asked to provide 'several' years of tax returns to be considered for Romney's VP running mate. The surprise came largely because many were expecting a more mundane pick like Tim Pawlenty or Rob Portman. The reacti...
Mitt Romney's foreign policy experience: Bike riding in France Tim Pawlenty, you're [not a very good surrogate
According to former Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty, as he was being considered for the V.P. spot. The Romney campaign asked him to turn over several years of his tax returns. He confirmed this on an interview on Sunday morning when asked how many years the Romney campaign had asked him to turn over. While looking uncomfortable his answer was "several". Why does Governor Romney demand to see multiple years of income tax returns for his possible V.P. picks, yet when "We The People" ask to see his, he wont show us?
Gregorydefended PBO on Priebus lie.Tim Pawlenty, John McCain, Reince Priebus, and more Sunday Talk. via
With all the political BS being thrown around, I'm a little surprised that Romney passed up the chance to have a roll of TP along side him during the campaign. On the other hand, let's all join the chant, "FOUR MORE YEARS!" Yes, we're guaranteed of at least another four years of Tim Pawlenty campaigning for the VP nomination. Hang in there, TP.
So it's OK for Romney to vet his candidates, but we're not allowed to vet Romney?
So the Mitten is a dissembling hypocrite. So is ryan, pawlenty, bush, cheney, *** (Yes, I know that's not how it's spelled.), Scott Walker, and the rest of the tea bagging republicker party. It's not new, but it's fun to watch them squirm.
They lie to protect their own..however if he gave several..or plenty..why can't Mitt do as past presidents have done..why ask for more from his potential candidates than he is willing to provide..
I guess the American people don't deserve the same treatment the VP is required to make.
Tim Pawlenty projects in his economic plan that the gross domestic product (GDP) would grow by 5 percent in real (inflation adjusted) dollars every year for a decade. The debate is now raging over whether such projections are realistic, but the more important consideration is whether the growth rat...
Romney would've done better picking Chris Christie or Bob McDonnell as his VP nominee. I know Tim Pawlenty is a sissy and Rob Portman is tied to the W. administration, but Paul Ryan is no salvation.
If he does what most of the pundits expect and picks Rob Portman, the junior Senator from Ohio, or Tim Pawlenty, the former Governor of Minnesota, it indicates that the Mittster, despite all the polls, remains fairly confident of victory. Both Portman and Pawlenty are mini-Mitts: moderate, non-ideological technocrats who hardly set the pulses racing...
Romney had several excellent choices and the media was expecting Tim Pawlenty or Rob Portman. They are outstanding statesmen but it is hard to top the Ryan Plan which cuts deficit by $6.2 trillion and protects our national security. Erick Erickson of RedState explained the wisdom of Romney's selection: "Paul Ryan is not a safe pick. . . The most recently named Human Events 'Conservative of the Year' is a lightening rod on the left for the Ryan Plan, which balances the budget over the next two decades. What was not enough for some conservatives is too much for some liberals. "Paul Ryan exposes the left’s great lie. They think they can just raise taxes on those who make $250,000.00 a year or more and never have to cut spending or fix entitlements. "Paul Ryan not only exposes that lie, but he has plans to solve it. He does so as a fresh, young face who is not at all scary to old people and relates to them and to young people. "He himself is in his early 40′s with small kids. He’s from a swing state, ou ...

Paul Ryan will be Mitt Romney's running mate. Not my first choice -- both Rob Portman and Tim Pawlenty are more qualified and less polarizing -- but it shows the Romney campaign intends to emphatically focus on economic issues until election day.
