My pastor and father in ministry, Rev Dr Alyn E Waller, Senior Pastor of Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church, brought...
I worshipped on this Fifth Sunday of Easter at Park Avenue Baptist Church in Atlanta. Two of the church's staff are from Carrollton: Lanta Cooper and Rebecca Weems. Lanta is Minister to Children and Rebecca is the Nursery Director. Both graduated from Carrollton High School - Lanta in 2005 and Rebecca in 2008. Lanta was reared, I think, in First United Methodist Church. She is a graduate of Mercer University and McAfee School of Theology. Rebecca was reared in Tabernacle Baptist Church. I was blessed to have been her pastor and humbled that she made a public commitment to vocational ministry during my tenure as Senior Pastor. She is a graduate of Samford University and is beginning her third year at McAfee School of Theology. I'm very proud of these young women of God. The church of today and the church of tomorrow is in good hands with Lanta and Rebecca.
