Farewell to Jonny Wilkinson, Brian O'Driscoll and Steve Borthwick. 3 Stella playing careers ending today in 3 finals. All the best and thanks for the memories.
For all you rugby fans Not only are BOD & Leo playing their last professional games for Leinster this evening, so too are Steve Borthwick (Saracens) vs. Northampton Saints & Jonny Wilkinson (Toulon) vs. Castres. I expect ITV will broadcast the Saracens/Saints game, but I don't expect them to broadcast the French games. SKY isn't broadcasting any of the games. Those wishing to see the Toulon/Castres game can watch it live on the French TV channel 'TV5' which is channel no. 799 if you have a SKY HD+ box. Broadcasting of that game begins at 7.55pm (UK & Ireland Time). Yes, commentary & all will be in French but so what? Better than nothing I'd say. Enjoy!!
'Legend' is a word that gets used far too often - in the case of Steve Borthwick , it is not used often enough !

Saracens name team for Heineken Cup Final vs RC Toulon - Steve Borthwick captains the side -
The biggest game in club rugby plays out this Saturday in Cardiff, as Saracens battle Toulon in the Heineken Cup Final. The match represents three possible swansongs: One each for Jonny Wilkinson and Steve Borthwick as they retire, and one for the competition itself as the creation of the European Rugby Champions Cup takes its place. Saracens have been the form team in English rugby all season and have dominated the Aviva Premiership. But Toulon are the reigning Heineken Cup holders and are looking to become the first French team to retain the title. Join us on Saturday at 18h00 Atletico Madrid have a chance in Saturday's Champions League Final not only to claim their debut European crown but to deny their loathed and vastly wealthier neighbours Real Madrid a record-extending 10th. Atletico have already outperformed this season in securing a remarkable La Liga triumph, shattering the domestic dominance of Real and Barcelona and becoming the first team other than the big two to win the Spanish title since ...

Strong Saffa flavour as Sarries prepare for Sharks Written by Rob Otto (robdylan) Saracens have named their 23-man squad to face the Sharks at Allianz Park in London on Saturday 25 January. Former England lock Steve Borthwick captains a strong outfit that includes former Sharks Brad Barritt and Alistair Hargreaves, among a slew of other South African players. Barritt, Matt Stevens and Mouritz Botha are both capped England internationals, while Neil de Kock and Schalk Brits have both played for the Springboks. The back row, in particular, should be an all Saffa affair as former Bull Jacques Burger, one-time Lions captain Ernst Joubert and WP exports Nick Fenton-Wells and Justin Melck have all been named. Saracens squad: Backs: Chris Wyles, David Strettle, Michael Tagicakibau, Marcelo Bosch, Brad Barritt, Duncan Taylor, Sam Stanley, Charlie Hodgson, Neil de Kock, Richard Wigglesworth. Forwards: Richard Barrington, Nick Auterac, Schalk Brits, Jamie George, Matt Stevens, Petrus Du Plessis, Steve Borthwick (ca ...
Just watched Sarries v Tigers at Allianz Park; we got a deserved beating, Sarries very impressive in second half as Tigers were ordinary - though the final score line was a bit harsh for the overall game; as were the two yellow cards. However, absolutely seething over the behaviour of that perennial mouthy nonce Steve Borthwick. The p...k asks for a red card every time a penalty is given like a soccer player, and when he quite rightly gets chucked on his *** by Ben Youngs when on the wrong side of a ruck, Wayne Barnes gives the penalty the wrong way. Typical. Hopefully Sarries not winning anything again in his final year will wipe the smug look off his stupid face.
Steve Borthwick not being quick enough to stop Jamie Elliott = Brad Barritt's fault
Massive congratulations to GRSM clients Steve Borthwick and Tom Youngs on nominations for Player of the Year.
For all of you asking, for Owen Farrell, Schalk Brits, Steve Borthwick, Alistair Hargreaves and Ernst Joubert are all rested
Steve Borthwick hopes to go into coaching, and is spending a week with the Blue Bulls observing training. Planet Rugby:
Farrell starts at fly half against Sale Sharks Saracens return to Vicarage Road on Sunday when Sale Sharks are the visitors for the Aviva Premiership round 13 clash, kick off is 3pm. In team news ahead of the game, Owen Farrell starts the match at fly half while Steve Borthwick returns to captain the side from the second row. Schalk Brits also returns at hooker and Richard Wigglesworth gets the nod at scrum half. The only other change from the side that beat Northampton Saints last weekend sees James Short named on the wing in place of the rested Chris Ashton. "Sale Sharks come to us on the back of a win over Worcester Warriors and with quality players all over the pitch, they are a dangerous side," said Saracens Director of Rugby Mark McCall. "The odd result apart, they have been involved in many close games and we know they will fight for everything on the pitch on Sunday, so we have to be ready." Saracens line-up vs Sale Sharks 15 Chris Wyles 14 James Short 13 Joel Tomkins 12 Brad Barritt 11 David Stre ...
