Sitting here trying to muster up the courage and words to put this into writing. I've played this over and over in my head for weeks and tried to figure out the best way to to tell you all what's been going on in our lives lately.the best way I can handle things is with the truth...because trying to tiptoe around it never works...and this is the way I really do try to live...openly and honestly...and I just feel so much better when everything is out in the open, that's when we can move forward. That's when we can receive God's grace, and the grace and love of those around us! Many, many... of you know me personally. Our kids go to school together, we are friends, or I have cooked a meal for your family,or we have shared a hug or a story here or there... I do care what you all think of me. I have been told by many people I worry too much about what other people think or feel about me...but I can't help it. I do. I feel I have an obligation to be the best person I can be, and I want everyone who is around m ...

New walleye limits on Mille Lacs make dead fish a bigger deal State officials have cut walleye allocations -- which include released fish that die -- in half this year on Lake Mille Lacs. Updated: January 29, 2013 - 10:17 PM When a walleye is caught in Minnesota, it's either kept and eaten -- or released. Most that are set free live to fight another day. But some don't. At Lake Mille Lacs, the number of released walleyes that die is crucial because they are included in the state's allocation under its agreement with eight Chippewa bands. Last year, sport anglers "harvested" 310,000 pounds of walleyes. But an estimated 136,000 of those pounds were fish lost to hooking mortality -- ones that didn't end up in a freezer or frying pan, but nonetheless were counted against the state's allocation. In past years, that was an unfortunate but mostly inconsequential byproduct of fishing regulations that required anglers to release large numbers of fish that were outset their permitted harvest "slot." ...

I have been contemplating the world around me lately, and I find myself very disappointed in what we as human beings have become. The world has become such a cold and unforgiving place. I think that as big heartless Government agentcies have taken over caring for people from charities, individuals and religious organizations we have lost our hearts for people. Our tax burden has become so great that we say to ourselves "why should i help, i pay taxes". My friend Charity was at the IRS office yesterday and a security guard there went up to a lady with a baby that had become a little fussy and ordered her in a very harsh tone to leave. She started to gather her things to go and he started bullying her and telling her to move faster. This is typical of government employees. You've all seen it, just visit the dmv or deal with the tsa. So be kind to people, by a homeless person dinner, help a pregnant woman or elderly person carry their groceries to the car. Remember that some day it may be you that n ...

I sometime feel, regarding certain female friends, being in the state of wedlock for life. I made a vow, to an insecure female friend, to see her aged and care about each step. That made her smile and kept a lid on the process. I started to photographer her at different stage of life and realized we are like an old couple. Sometime I dated her for dinner and claimed having my wife with me for that special occasion. Her husband always trusted us as we trusted each other. I often slewed when they get married, my childhood girlfriends, forwarded my feeling into an old uncle for their sons and daughters, just to see them aged. One of my childhood friend, since the age of 5 years old married the next- door girl who knew me also at 5 years old. They still live in the same house but in their individual room since 15 years like brother and sister. I had dinner with them last week and realized how much I care for them like my own family, without any aghast feeling. We share the same universal feeling being ...
Fan Question My son is 7 will be 8 in march. He was diagnosed about a year ago to have ADHD and was put on meds. His main problem is that he is very hyper and bouncy and makes these godawful noises. Since then we have had to change meds and up the dosage. He was on a slow release pill once in the morning and he was doing amazing in school but it wore off around 430 and the rest of the night was pure *** He wouldn't do homework and the tantrums and behavior was so bad we would all end up crying... He wouldn't fall asleep til at least midnight every night so he wasn't getting the sleep he needed. We recently switched his meds again to a pill in the am and one he takes at school at lunch time. He is doing wonderful at home now.. we are all a lot happier. BUT I just received a call from his teacher (who is very active with us to help him) that he is slipping backwards in school not focusing and making his noises. What do I do? should we put him back to the other meds because he was doing so well at school? .. ...

I'm a passionate pro-2nd amendment gun rights guy, but cannot wrap my mind around opposition to pre-purchase criminal background checks. I've spent a lot of my life around fellow gun rights advocates (including a 2 hour dinner conversation with NRA head Wayne LaPierre in 2003), so there probably isn't an explanation or soundbite I haven't heard. Criminal background checks do not harm 2nd amendment rights, they enhance and protect them by restricting access to those who should not own a firearm. Background checks should be the lowest of low-hanging fruit on the public policy tree.
I am trying to educate myself and all my friends how to avoid mistakes when speaking. Politically Incorrect Dictionary. The words listed here are words that are no longer usable, or whose meanings have been altered to make them difficult to use. These were all words which could be freely used at some point in US history, but which modern culture is attempting to stamp out. Broken Home - Replaced by Dysfunctional family. Bum - Replaced by Homeless Person.Calling a person a "Bum" implies that the person is a moocher that is too lazy to get a job. Break-up k baad kya karein aur kya na karein. Some Tips for those who need it. Perhaps the worst thing about love is that the higher it is, the harder the fall when the relationship sours. We dream of perfect love when we’re adolescents, but as life goes on, we go through many relationships and as many breakups; it’s only a few who find lifelong happiness with their first love – others have to find ways to get out of the depression that wraps around you when a relationship goes awry and your heart feels like it’s never going to be whole again, and learn to trust and love in the course of time. If you’re moping around after a breakup, here’s how you can find inspiration to see blue skies again: 1. Break free: The tendency to go back and beg your erstwhile partner to take you back will be overwhelming, but remember that it’s just not worth it if you do so. They broke up with you for a reason, so you must protect yourself from further hurt by staying away from them and breaking free completely. ...
Dungeness dinner in the yurt @ Carl G. Washburne Memorial State Park
From Colin Tung who saw this timeless, excellent speech first posted by Leslie Tan. By the late Dr Goh Keng Swee at the Anglo-Chinese School's eighty-first Founder’s Day re-union dinner on 1 March 1967: In recent months, there has been increasing attention paid in the Singapore Cabinet to educational matters. The first phase of the Government’s education policy has come to an end. In this phase the aim was to provide a place in school for every child of school age. There was an enormous backlog to be caught up with and the emphasis was just on quantity – producing enough schools and turning out enough teachers to give education to every child. The aim has been achieved and today there are more than enough places in schools and we are moving to a second phase. In this phase, the aim is to improve the quality of education. How can we achieve this? We have to do some thinking on many basic problems and go beyond the purely professional aspects of education. That is to say, the content and syllabus of t ...

nger management: 10 tips to tame your temper Keeping your temper in check can be challenging. Use simple anger management tips — from taking a timeout to using "I" statements — to stay in control. By Mayo Clinic staff Do you find yourself fuming when someone cuts you off in traffic? Does your blood pressure go through the roof when your child refuses to cooperate? Anger is a normal and even healthy emotion — but it's important to deal with it in a positive way. Uncontrolled anger can take a toll on both your health and your relationships. Ready to get your anger under control? Start by considering these 10 anger management tips. No. 1: Take a timeout Counting to 10 isn't just for kids. Before reacting to a tense situation, take a few moments to breathe deeply and count to 10. Slowing down can help defuse your temper. If necessary, take a break from the person or situation until your frustration subsides a bit. No. 2: Once you're calm, express your anger As soon as you're thinking clearly, express yo ...
I have heard stories of men leaving and abandoning their families simply because they couldn't face them after having lost their jobs. They could not deal with the fact that their woman was the ONLY one bringing in a paycheck. They run, retreat to their relatives and friends homes or sometime, they'll move onto another woman's living quarters. I've also heard stories of personal friends of mine who put in years, as many as several with a man they loved, who was the father of their children, who was doing something in the beginning of the relationships but as the years went by, they became comfortable with the fact that the women were working and were going to ensure that their children, if nothing else, wold always have shelter. The one thing these women asked was that if nothing else, these men be productive while they were out and about. Be sure that the home was clean, the children were picked up from school and settled in, and that perhaps arrangements made for dinner. That wasn't the case. these wome ...

I am sharing this from a Union Beach resident who wrote this! This is our lives and this is what we go through every day! There is a new normal now and our lives have changed forever. Three months ago yesterday, Hurricane Sandy decimated the tiny hamlet of Union Beach, New Jersey. Our 1.88 square mile town is located on the Raritan Bay. Prior to October 29, 2012, we had 2,400+ homes. Sandy hit us hard .. like nothing anyone here has ever seen. After the storm had passed, many of our homes were gone. We are now in the process of demolishing buildings that sustained too much damage to repair. When all is said and done, hundreds of homes and businesses will be gone. The following is a compilation of what our residents have experienced in the last three months. And please remember, this is just in our little town ... Here in Union Beach ... We prepared for the coming storm, as we always did. We bought extra water, food and batteries. We filled our gas tanks. We decided whether or not to park our cars in neig ...

FROM INBOX ~ dani Anon please: Are any of you ladies caregivers for your spouses? If so, do any of you ever get so overwhelmed with everything? I am my husband's caregiver and some days its so overwhelming. We have three children, one of which is autistic and one is a newborn. Alot of times I feel like Im raising four kids and it feels like the world is crashing down around me. How do you ladies deal with it? I cant get away because my husband is 100% disabled,so I have no time for just me. I love my husband more then anything, but its hard to keep this up. I know the VA has adult programs where I can 'send him' to but that seems so cold and callous, and it leaves me, still, with taking care of our kids by myself. I have no one here I can talk to about this, when I try talking to him he says 'I cant help it baby.' . I know he cant, and feeling like this makes me feel like a failure as his wife. I dont know how to get over this overwhelming feeling of the world sitting solely on my shoulders. How do you lad ...

Today in pnohm penh Cambodia I visited prison s-21 (where former high officials were tortured by Pol Pot's Khmer Rouge 1975-1979). I met a survivor! Chum mey was allowed to live because of his mechanic skills to fix typewriters, sewing machines, etc (despite the Khmer rouge's aim to wipe out Cambodians with education and control the uneducated masses) Then Claire Bowman and I went to one of the killing fields called Choeung ek killing fields ~10 miles south where ~17000 Cambodian citizens were brought after displacement, family separation & hard labor , tortured until they confessed crimes to "selling information to the CIA or the KGB or the Vietnamese" and then killed there. Note: the Khmer Rouge came to power in 1975 initially at the popularity and support of the people because their neutral king Sihanouk had been displaced by generals supported by the U.S. to kick the Vietnamese out of Cambodia at the time, which destabilized the country. The U.S. did considerable damage particularly with the "secret . ...

Evidently, we've now come to the point in my career where I am consistently getting question about sex and relationships in my email. Today, I received a long-ish email from a reader let's call her Sara (not her real name, obv) asking the appropriate amount of time to wait before sleeping with a dude, and my general feelings on what guys might take away from waiting a given amount of time, or moving too quickly. I wrote out a long response, but before I share it, I would like to hear your opinion. Let's crowd source this. So, do you think there is a minimum wait time for teh sexay? Why or why not? What would it be? Thanks so much for participating in this social experiment =)
What is everyone doing for Valentine's Day? Any big plans? I will be wearing my pink ribbon gear (mainly because it is very comfy and I am now addicted to all things athletic gear).

The hits just keep on rolling from the City of West Des Moines employee recognition dinner -- and the results coming out of Development Services were extraordinary, especially considering the economy is still clawing its way back. WDM had its third-best year ever in building permit valuations at $310 million. That includes 282 new single family homes and town homes, 170 single family additions and remodels, 15 new commercial projects, 148 commercial tenant improvement projects (remodels and updates), a 48,000-square-foot expansion at All State Industries, Phase II of the Microsoft data center and continued development along Mills Civic Parkway, including, Koch Facial Plastic Surgery & Spa, Ethan Allen, Panda Express, Chick-Fil-A and Pier 1 Imports.

If the Boy Scouts of America lifts their ban, I would be interested in becoming a Scout Master. I loved Scouting. I have always tried to uphold Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent. I think I'd be hard pressed to come up with better values to impress on young men.

Today we'd like to discuss these things: -Examples of you "enhancing" products in your home. Did you turbo-boost your toaster perhaps? -Have you ever had a call from a wrong number, but kept the call going? What happened? -Finally, we'd like stories about people being covered in something other than the usual. What were you covered in?

I have been told that I have a very sexy body. My boyfriend Aakash loves to display my legs and my 34 cup breasts to his friends and in public. You see, I am deeply in love with my boyfriend and been a good girlfriend very rarely I have courage to disobey him. Aakash knows my weakness very well and he freely takes advantage of this situation. We have been dating over ten months, he is a good boyfriend, a good provider and very generous in giving me gifts and buying me dresses of my choice when we are not in company of conservative friends. He makes me wear dresses of his choice mostly sexy revealing dresses where my smooth body is exhibited to the full extent of law but occasionally crossing the line of obscenity. He also has ordered me to buy high skirts, tight semi-transparent shirts, and wired bras. I love to wear western style skirt and shirt or Indian style chudidar. However, I am only allowed to buy tiny, transparent panties so that my pubic hairs will show if he has to lift my skirt in front of his ...

For those of you in Washington (state), Brittni (my oldest niece, Kim's daughter) and I will be in Bellevue @ the Hyatt for a conference with our Women in Construction group on or about August 28th-31st this year. We do not have our iteniary set yet or conference schedule, but assume we will be busy with conference classes and events much of the time, so we discussed staying until September 1st so we could make some time to see family and friends before we depart (have to come home to our day jobs to earn our keep...LOL!). However, the only way we can possibly see everyone, or at least a majority of our loved ones, since family and friends are spread from Olympia area, up to North Seattle, all the way out to the Olympic Peninsula and Islands, is that we chose a place to have dinner on Saturday evening (8/31) or breakfast on Sunday morning (9/1) in or around Seattle, and hope everyone can make it. So, for those of you that are interested, I will need to coordinate this and reserve a location, therefore, if ...

been layed up sick for a few days so I appologize for not reporting sooner. We had 3 dogs killed by 3 different people that went to good use for the students and teachers at NC State Vet school. Ill try and post some pics later of the event and of the coyotes that were shot. Since it was a 3 way tie we had to go on weight and Rayvon Davis of Asheboro won with a 31 lb dog. He won the Hog hunt with 704 Outdoors. John Paul MacPherson would have won with a 35lb dog but he tagged his at 5:15pm on Saturday.15min past the tournament cut off time. Second place in the tourney went to Barry Hamilton with a 28.5 lb female. They killed it on Thursday afternoon right before the snow and sleet came. Barry won a free camo coyote skull mount of his yote. No youth connected on a coyote so we did a drawing for the guided turkey hunt given by Soggy Bottom Outdoors and Dawson Davis, son of Rayvon Davis won the turkey hunt. All in all the Davis family had a good night. I think everyone that came to the dinner after the h ...
Over 700 attend Clonguish’s white collar boxing event On Saturday night last the Co Longford village of Newtownforbes staged its own version of the popular sport with the eagerly awaited white collar boxing spectacle attracting over 700 spectators on the night. A total of nine bouts, including two female encounters took place at the Clonguish GAA fundraiser which was held inside the club’s state of the art complex. Trained under the watchful eye of former amateur star Gerry Rehill, a number of novice boxers from several clubs across Co Longford participated. Prologue Before he regained consciousness, a primitive ancient part of his mind stirred. That part had been millions of years in the making. There was a time when the beast inside had been dominant, not tucked away in a dark hidden corner of his mind, a memento of simpler and yet more frightening days. Back when it ruled supreme on the dry dusty savannah, the heart-pumping thrill of the hunt and fear of the stalking predator in the dark were the extent of its world. Now it was only a shadow, there to serve but one function, as a warning system, an inner cry of impending danger. That warning did not come in terms of words or phrases but as that tingling sensation saying something was not quite right. More developed parts of his brain began to awaken at the alarm. Still not yet fully aware but beginning to sense the urgency in the primitive call. The man was not conscious but reaching for that higher state, yet the wheels began to turn and questions were asked. Simple at first; “Who am I?” “Wher ...
howdy from the Great State of Texas. Should you get hungry come on down to Babe's Chicken Dinner House in Arlington.
This is ridiculous. I have been disabled since 2008. Social security back dated it to October of that year since I could no longer work or finish school. Within that year I was hospitalized 5 times. Let's count that again 1-2-3-4-5 times all a weeks worth each time. All my tests results showed that there was a discrepancy in two blood counts which coincide with either lymphoma or leukemia . Not to mention all the Ct scans I had displayed my lymph nodes growing for several years. I was already symptomatic by this point with night sweats, fatigue , nausea, fevers etc. my *** of a pc said I was stressed, it's my home life, it's part of my anatomy?!?! It's National Croissant Day and since only one kind isn't specified you can take your pick. Those who know me know I'm a bakery fanatic. I'm having a chocolate croissant and an almond croissant for now. I'll have the ham croissant for lunch. You'll have to visit several bakeries to sample the best Seattle has to offer. Start off at Bakery Nouveau with a chocolate croissant, proceed to La Boulangerie for the almond croissant, visit Cafe Besalu to pick up a dozen plain for dinner tonight, and finish up at the Dahlia Bakery for a ham & cheese croissant for lunch. There isn't much else going on, so take your time at the bakeries. It's a busy day for Catholics since it's the Christian Feast Day of Saints Aldegonde, Anthony, Balthild, Hippolytus, Hyacintha, Martina, Mutien-Marie, and Savina. They are the patron saints of breasts, skin diseases, child slavery, prison guards, plague, breast feeding, mediocre teachers, and funerals. NEWS FOR WEDNESDAY, JAN. 30TH, 2013 JANUARY SNOWPACK BELOW NORMAL After two very wet months in November and December, a dry January has got the snowpack in the Sierra Nevada mountain range below normal levels, though that doesn’t quite mean that another drought year is coming our way. The state Department of Water Resources conducted field measurements yesterday and, according to their report, the snowpack is currently at 93 percent of normal for this time of year. However, the higher-than-average amount of rain that dropped in the two previous months has the state’s reservoirs still in good condition to provide farmers and residents with enough water for the rest of the year. CALIFORNIA GIVEN SIX MORE MONTHS TO REDUCE INMATE POPULATION A panel of federal judges moved to give California six more months to reduce its inmate population yesterday, despite Gov. Jerry Brown asking that the judges remove the requirement completely. The governor has recently argued that the state had made huge strides in red ...
You know it really irks me the way taxes work. I can't file jointly with Jake so I file separate but I can't claim him either. I can't claim head of household which would get me more because we don't have kids and we can't qualify for the EIC because we don't have kids. When do I get a payment for NOT over populating the Earth with kids I can't afford anyway?
Well done HMRC, you've excelled yourself. It's taken 3 months to write back to tell me I've filled in the playgroup's Gift Aid form wrong. When I investigate how I've filled it in wrong, I find its because you only provided 1 set of boxes for a responsible person's details, but you actually want 3 responsible people to sign the form. So why not state that on the application and provide somewhere for all 3 people to fill their details in?? You have to wonder how this country manages to function!

Kids, here is the latest from the House of Greek. Dinner is served! (The following piece isn't for the squeamish, fyi. You have been forewarned!) Greek to Me This Much I (Don't) Know by Michael Raysses “Wise is the man who knows what he doesn’t know. You keep it up and you could qualify for one of those genius grants...” my Uncle Tasso For me, this month’s theme is the equivalent of a journalistic Wet Willie. For the uninitiated, a Wet Willie is a very specific form of torture. Actually, given our country’s love affair with euphemism when applied to acts of unspeakable violence, make that ‘enhanced irritation technique.’ The Wet Willie came into vogue some time back in the dark ages of the late 1960s-early 70s, and when executed to perfection, involved a perpetrator coating a pinkie finger in their own saliva for purposes of thrusting it as deeply as possible into an unsuspecting victim’s ear. I mention this because contemplating the question “Where do we go from here?” elicits the sam ...
Haircut BY RING LARDNER I got another barber that comes over from Carterville and helps me out Saturdays, but the rest of the time I can get along all right alone. You can see for yourself that this ain't no New York: City and besides that, the most of the boys works all day and don't have no leisure to drop in here and get themselves prettied up. You're a newcomer, ain't you? I thought I hadn't seen you round before. I hope you like it good enough to stay. As I say, we ain't no New York City or Chicago, but we have pretty good times. Not as good, though, since Jim Kendall got killed. When he was alive, him and Hod Meyers used to keep this town in an uproar. I bet they was more laughin' done here than any town its size in America. Jim was comical, and Hod was pretty near a match for him. Since Jim's gone, Hod tries to hold his end up just the same as ever, but it's tough goin' when you ain't got nobody to kind of work with. They used to be plenty fun in here Saturdays. This place is jampacked Saturdays, f ...

If we only had 2 U.S. Congressman/woman and 2 Senators for each state we could save a ton of money in paychecks. AND, it would keep those 4 people in each state forced to actually work their entire states for their hefty paychecks. Just think we'd only have to pay 200 members as opposed to 535. What a savings! And they should only have two terms, not six. We should be able to vote them out quickly enough before they could cause the kind of damage they have already caused this country. Republicans are GLOATING that no matter how many of us attempt to vote them out of office, they have the states rigged against us b/c of the gerrymandering. Which means this BS can go on for yrs. And we just can't have that!!! The way I see it is.each member of each state would have to represent it's entire state, not individual counties and jurisdictions. We would eliminate gerrymandering as there would be no need for it. No congress man/woman would be able to say 'THE PEOPLE' I represent in my district, agree/disagree. Ins ...

Its depressing that with the debt ceiling, us agents arming Mexican drug gangs via Fast and Furious, the complete goat rope at Benghazi, crippling debt, giving state of the art fighter jets to the terrorists in Egypt, borrowing money then giving it back as aid to China, giving Sandy relief money to Guam, over 9 percent unemployment, millions and millions of illegal Mexicans bringing drugs and disease into our country, and about a million other catastrophes either waiting in the wings or directly caused by this administration the top of the list is imam Obama's desire to attack the second amendment. Whats really depressing is that most of the population is too stupid to figure out that it is just the distraction of the month. Bunch of bandwagon hopping ***

''WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER'' When the majority of people heard those words in 2010 they had a little chuckle and a shake of the head and went on about their day.I suspect that now some of those people want to put their head in their hands and sob rather than chuckle and many simply now do not have a day to get on with anymore. Has there ever been a more cruel and condescending use of the English language by a Government against its own people, for me i think not. I heard David Cameron on radio this last week use these words again and it made me want to throw up even though his austerity and misery has not reached my front door... yet! David Cameron also use a couple of his other favourite words, FAIR and RIGHT in that interview, to describe the cuts and the austerity poli . ...

From the diary of Samuel Pepys. Tuesday 17 January 1659/60 Early I went to Mr. Crew’s, and having given Mr. Edward money to give the servants, I took him into the coach that waited for us and carried him to my house, where the coach waited for me while I and the child went to Westminster Hall, and bought him some pictures. In the Hall I met Mr. Woodfine, and took him to Will’s and drank with him. Thence the child and I to the coach, where my wife was ready, and so we went towards Twickenham. In our way, at Kensington we understood how that my Lord Chesterfield had killed another gentleman about half an hour before, and was fled. We went forward and came about one of the clock to Mr. Fuller’s, but he was out of town, so we had a dinner there, and I gave the child 40s. to give to the two ushers. After that we parted and went homewards, it being market day at Brainford. I set my wife down and went with the coach to Mr. Crew’s, thinking to have spoke with Mr. Moore and Mrs. Jane, he having told me the ...

Health Benefits of Vinegar Dr. Willie T. Ong, Thanks to new scientific studies on vinegar, this 2,000 year-old home remedy is making a comeback. There are two main uses for white vinegar, which is really acetic acid. First, white vinegar is a potent anti-fungal remedy. Second, preliminary studies show that vinegar can control blood sugar surges and reduce appetite, thus benefiting those with diabetes and obesity. Moreover, vinegar has a long shelf life because of its acidic nature, and it does not need refrigeration. People who can’t afford medical care may especially benefit from the ordinary and inexpensive white vinegar. Take note that the first 5 conditions are related to fungal infections. 1. Ear infection, called Swimmer’s ear. Swimmer’s ear is an itchy and painful infection of the outer ear. This usually occurs after swimming in dirty pools and beaches. As a home remedy, you can mix a diluted vinegar solution of one-half white vinegar and one-half clean water. Another option is to mix one-thi ...

***IMPORTANT* There are fake canisters of Pillsbury Crescent Rolls circulating in the supermarkets! These canisters are identical to the real ones with the exception of the instructions on how to open it! Regular packages clearly state to open the canister by peeling off the label and using the back of a spoon to press until you hear a pop... Then you bake it and have a delicious side dish to go with dinner... Perhaps you want to make pigs in a blanket for a wonderful appetizer... The possibilities are endless! These fake cans state that you should use the front side of the spoon! If you open these cans, it is already too late! The Lord's Day Alliance Clarence Darrow This veteran of the Courts, who has spent fifty years tearing deserved holes in the law, takes and swings his priceless irony towards these professional Christians. When do we rest and when do we play? Apparently we don't. What Price salvation? it's not worth it Among the various societies that are engaged in the business of killing pleasure, the Lord's Day Alliance of New York deserves a place of honor. If any poor mortal is caught enjoying life on Sunday its agents gleefully hie themselves to the nearest legislature and urge a law to stop the fun. Their literature and periodicals tell very plainly the kind of business they are in. This association of crape-hangers seems to be especially interested in the State of New York, which contains about one-tenth of the population of the Union, and among them an unusually large number of foreigners and other heathen who have not been taught the proper regard for the sanctity of the Sabbath. The activities of this Alliance i ...

The Oklahoma City Jazz Orchestra will pay tribute to the legendary traveling swing bands in a twilight concert entitled “Hard-Driving Swing” on Tuesday, January 22 at 7 p.m., at the Petroleum Club, 100 N. Broadway. Seating is cabaret-style and tickets are $20 for adults, $5 for students with ID. An optional $20 buffet dinner is available beginning at 6 p.m. Visit www.okcjazzorchestra.com or call 405.488.5749 for more information. “‘Hard Driving’ might refer to the ridiculous number of daily miles logged on a bus by the bands of Woody Herman, Buddy Rich, Maynard Ferguson, Count Basie and others,” said John Allen, the ensemble’s music director. Allen is also principal trombonist with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic and with the Breckenridge Festival Orchestra. “Or it might refer to the spirit of those tireless leaders and their sidemen that was never quashed despite the endless miles and constant pressures of life on the road.” The 17-member Oklahoma City Jazz Orchestra performs big band ja ...
Subject: Same Sex Marriage ?? Invoking the British Common Sense, I pray that rationality and sanity may prevail in matters of Sex & Marriage Laws: AS different organs of human body have evolved over millions of years for particular functions called Natural Function of such organs, the male homosexuality through abuse of *** for sexual intercourse is un-natural; so is the Male Same Sex Marriage, and should not be allowed or legalized. Female *** is naturally evolved for sex, it's walls are resistant to sexual trauma and entry of diseases like AIDS/STDs. while human anal canal is not evolved for sex, its walls are not resistant to sexual trauma or diseases rather it is full of potential disease producing feces; in the same way bisexuality (use of bot vaginal and anal routes for sexual intercourse) also leads to spread of AIDS/STDs amongst the unsuspecting male and female partners of the bisexuals. Anal sex produces functional and/or structural damage to anal sphincters leading sooner or later to partial ...

Child abuse in America is an ever present problem. We make laws and have agencies with specially trained staff to help stop it, but it still continues. Say you spend your life being a good person who respects life and teaches others to respect life too. You are a good parent who lives for your children and strives to keep them safe and give them every opportunity to grow and play, sometimes skipping dinner or lunch so they would have enough to eat or staying by their bedside or rocking them all night to keep them comfortable when they are sick, not allowing yourself to sleep in case they need you. What if one day your neighbor's children were abused by a family member? The children, locked inside their house, were old enough to be home alone and were waiting for their mother to come home from work. Then their mother's sibling with mental issues came to the house and abused them. The mother told them not to let her sibling in but they forced in anyway. The sibling who was previously under care in a ...
Kathmandu – Chitwan National Park-Pokara-Limbini Upon our return to Kathmandu after our Sun Koshi Adventure, we had to go back to the Indian Embassy to get our visas – or at least, we hoped to get our visas… Up at the crack of dawn to stand on a sidewalk in the cold – to wait from 7:30-10:00 -- to be given a number and to wait some more. Oh Joy! When we finally got to speak to an official, we were told, after a lot of shuffling of our papers and reviewing the information – yet again, “Well, it looks OK – now, we will need to take your passports. Come back at 5:00 p.m.” Unfortunately, we had made arrangements with our rafting crew to take them out for dinner to thank them for their excellent service so….Guy volunteered to go back at 5:00 and the children and I would meet the guys at the restaurant. That afternoon, Guy left early to be first in line – and so arrived there around 4:00 p.m. What a surprise – he was immediately handed the passports -- no line up, no waiting, no “Oh ...

It is simply amazing how much more you can get done, when you take a media fast for a few weeks... I might have to make this an occasional, but regular thing. Meanwhile I've been staying pretty busy lately: First of all, we finally got some SNOW! It wasn't much, but it was very appreciated by this ex-Notherner. :) Finished remodeling & painting my room. Finally having time to go through all of the boxes that have been sitting in the back of my closet since we moved, and after getting rid of 30 lbs of papers and 10 bags of give-away stuff, its quite freeing, lol. Plus, finding $50 and 2 Starbucks gift cards in old birthday cards wasn't too bad either. :] Scheduling 6 photography jobs already for this spring. Some amazing ladies in town threw Susannah a baby shower, so we got to see her and Abbey for a weekend, had fun visiting with people I haven't seen in awhile (Jenny & Joanna), and were finally able to get some family pictures! Early morning workouts with the bros. Surprise packages from friends. Gettin ...

UPDATE from the 19-year-old in Charlotte who has been molested by her stepfather and her friends since the age of nine. Hi Zane, I am writing to you yet again because I am really seeking for advice or anyone who can relate in some way & also to give an update. I am currently living with a friend of mines, searching for a job & as of next week I'll be enrolled in getting my GED @ CPCC! :) Leaving my mom's house has been both scary & a relief. Feelings of seeing my stepdad or one of his friends prevents me from leaving the house now. As you know I'm pregnant & I'm not sure who's apart of this unborn child & I honestly don't care. I'm not sure what I should do though. As you already know I've been through the whole abortion process forcefully so I really don't want to take that route ever again & I'm not sure how well I could do the whole adoption thing. I really don't want to give up my baby but it's scary thinking about how I will support it, how strong I am mentally & emotionally to care for this child, w ...

"The most foolish mistake we could possibly make would be to allow the subject races to possess arms. History shows that all conquerors who have allowed their subject races to carry arms have prepared their own downfall by so doing. Indeed, I would go so far as to say that the supply of arms to the underdogs is a sine qua non for the overthrow of any sovereignty. So let's not have any native militia or native police. German troops alone will bear the sole responsibility for the maintenance of law and order throughout the occupied Russian territories, and a system of military strong-points must be evolved to cover the entire occupied country." --Adolf Hitler, dinner talk on April 11, 1942, quoted in Hitler's Table Talk 1941-44: His Private Conversations, Second Edition (1973), Pg. 425-426. Translated by Norman Cameron and R. H. Stevens. Introduced and with a new preface by H. R. Trevor-Roper. The original German papers were known as Bormann-Vermerke. WE need to all call into our state legislators and let them know about a horrible epidemic going on in our country, and do something about it. THE obesity rate is well over 25% in this country and rising. PEOPLE need to realize that the cure is right in our faces. OF all the things used at the dinner table what is used the most? THE answer is obvious right? UNITED at the table. STATES all around have them. WILL the answer come? NOT in time cause I'm gonna tell ya. LET me say it, it's forks and spoons. THE perpetrators have been in our kitchens the whole time. GOVERNMENT! TAKE action now and put a ban on these items, they're killing us all, slowly but surely. OUR lives are at steak here. RIGHTS and LIBERTY stand on the line. If you don't take them away or just put some restrictions on them. We might become a victim ourselves!!!
Acidity reflux is something caused by excessive stress over the state of the nation or having Hardees for dinner.
Today has been so incredibly fun & exciting being introduced to my new work place. I can't believe my mind is still in one piece with the beauty & nature & absolute awe of where I've been blessed to start a new chapter in my life. I start my first day tomorrow then Saturday has family & friends from all over the state coming to help move our things into the apartment, then a huge gumbo dinner, & an evening on the town for the Galveston Art Walk. I haven't been this happy in so very long & I am so excited to see what my future holds. Every day just gets better & better.

I met today with officials in the legislative branch. A redux of SB 59 will soon be introduced in the Michigan Senate. The bill would move licensing authority to the MSP, allow anyone to get an exemption from pistol free zones for concealed carry, and lower the cost for obtaining a CPL amongst other benefits. Stay tuned for more news on this exciting bill as it is drafted and introduced. - PLH

I need advice please. So I have been emailing with this guy (this is about me thinking about dating) and we also have talked on the phone. I'd say 6 emails total, like get to know each other emails and then a 20 minute phone conversation. He invited me out on a date and I am considering it but.(I think I am going to be over psychoanalyzing everyone) anyways after the emails and the phone conversation he emailed me again and started the email with "hey baby" ick! Baby already? Is that a red flag? Also he told me that he HAD a daughter named Megan. Yes, that's sad that she passed away and I feel bad but is that a Red Flag? The whole sympathy card being played before even meeting face to face? And then in the phone conversation I noticed it was mostly about him. We discussed what he does for a lving, where he lives, where he grew up etc...him, him, him and then I volunteered what I do for a living, etc... he didn't really ask. So it seemes to be all about him. So now I am wondering are these red fl ...

Okay so just to be perfectly clear, any 'day' that occurs at the end of a run of midshifts, or as a 'day' off in the midst of a run of midshifts (these being 12 or 13 hour midshifts not some respectable type shift that actually respects human biology) THIS DAY IS A MYTH, it does NOT in point of fact actually take place, except in the minds of management that has not worked a shift in years OR anyone in 'Human' resources. As such, this day is exempt from dietary restrictions, safety restrictions, conversations relating to 'relationships', or ANY of the following statements or requests: 1. Are you really going to wear those clothes? 2. Don't you think you've had enough( insert favorite libation here) to drink? 3. When are you going to ( insert 'honey do' here)? OR most especially 4. Hey we need a relief tonight to work. the foregoing is a warning to the 90+/- percent of you who (you should thank whatever beneficent power you respect) do NOT work rotating 12 hour shifts. Nuff said.

Good Ol fashion political humor . :D When Bill and Hillary first got married, Bill said, "I am putting a box under our bed. You must promise never to look in it." In all their 30 years of marriage, Hillary never looked. However, on the afternoon of their 30th anniversary, curiosity got the better of her and she lifted the lid and peeked inside. In the box there were 3 empty beer cans and $1,874.25 in cash. After dinner, Hillary could no longer contain her guilt and she confessed, saying, "I am so sorry. For all these years I kept my promise and never looked in the box under our bed. However, today the temptation was too much and I gave in. But now I need to know why do you keep the empty cans in the box?" Bill thought for a while and said, "I guess that after all these years you deserve to know the truth. Whenever I was unfaithful to you, I put an empty beer can in the box under the bed to remind myself not to do it again." Hillary was shocked, but said, "I am very disappointed and saddened, but I guess a ...

Well, you probably don’t. Wonder why little or nothing happens after women are told “you can’t do that here?” when they try to feed their children in restaurants? How is it possible that women lose their jobs when they try to take breaks to pump breast milk?

Hello FB family and friends. Well that day came again for me on January 14th. I want to share with you all this 2nd unforgetable birthdayWww celebration. Last year will always b top. This year-- well here goes. The first thing is to get those tags for my car. I go only to find out that the state has a block on my license. Last year the city of Dayton made a huge error and put a block on my license because they sent me this picture of someone else's property that was in violation of a housing code. After Freddie the housing inspector admitted that he was wrong and this picture was not my property said he would take care of this with my license. He thought he did. Well the state want me to pay a reinstatement fee of $25 before I can get my tags. I called and talked to long and he told me wouldn't nothing they could or would do. That I had to pay the fee and then petition the courts to get my money back. I called the ombudsman and the sided with the city. I have called the director Mike twice and he re ...

600,000 Semi-automatic shotguns and rifles bought back as part of new gun control measures in Australia after a 1996 mass shooting in which 35 people were killed. The country also prohibited private sales of guns. From 1995 to 2006, homicides by firearm in Australia plunged 59 percent – and they haven’t had a mass shooting since.

A 13 yr old girl was charges with 2 misdemenors for pulling a kitchen knife on a *** Sporting Goods employee at the Destiny USA mall in Syracuse. Once Obama and Cuomo get ahold of that news we will be forced to eat our steaks with plastic sporks like the ones you get from Taco Bell! Afterall, a knife is as deadly as a gun. Actually more deadly since you dont need to reload them. You can kill an infinite number of people with a knife whereas a gun you are limited to the number of bullets you have on hand.
Legal aid, she used them she makes $60,000 a year I’m a student, CAS Child Support Agency without due process made a decision based on a phone call no evidence at all given, they then gave her 100% this then made Centre link by automation grant her 100% this then became legal kidnapping all over a CSA working NOT doing their role or due process, CSA has admitted this as a failure of due process but after 6 times in court she produces the same paper work CSA will take up to 3 months to sort the care out and she has now taken off with the children. I again put it to you that I have contacted both side of government; governor general’s office, CSA, Centre link, and the Media. What do I do next? Drive a truck through the doors of parliament to ask for the return of my children? What a week. Now for a wonderful dinner. Corndogs... Too tired to cook. Ill make up for it this weekend.
TIME 1999 THE HEALER , BILL W. 100 Heroes and Icons of the 20th Century From the rubble of a wasted life, he overcame alcoholism and founded the 12-step program that has helped millions of others do the same Second Lieut. Bill Wilson didn’t think twice when the first butler he had ever seen offered him a drink. The 22-year-old soldier didn’t think about how alcohol had destroyed his family. He didn’t think about the Yankee temperance movement of his childhood or his loving fiancé Lois Burnham or his emerging talent for leadership. He didn’t think about anything at all. "I had found the elixir of life," he wrote. Wilson’s last drink, 17 years later, when alcohol had destroyed his health and his career, precipitated an epiphany that would change his life and the lives of millions of other alcoholics. Incarcerated for the fourth time at Manhattan’s Towns Hospital in 1934, Wilson had a spiritual awakening-a flash of white light, a liberating awareness of God-that led to the founding of Alcoholics ...
Wonderful dinner tonight some business partners from Israel. Very successful business men, 20 years senior officers in the Israeli air force... Over dinner I asked them, "On the news they say that the U.S. Relations with Israel are deteriorating, do you feel this is true?" His answer... "Brandon, thankfully the relationship between the united states and Israel is much deeper than this leader or that leader, and much deeper than Barack Obama." He elaborated, but i won't, ...very interesting insight from a smart man from an "ally" country.
Just last night I was contemplating about when I was cleaning a dead body before the janaza. This man was one of the most health conscious people I knew. Begining of Ramadan he was admitted to hospital with blood cancer. He died the day after Eid, that month I watched how he deteriorated. Lying on the bed, motionless, stiff, made of exactly the same thing as me, but there was no soul. And then I remembered my time is soon. We will all go soon. Your bodies are made up of the same minerals you as your dinner table. So whats the difference? Everything in your body is found naturally in the Earth below our feet. Except your soul. And when it returns, game over. Brothers and sisters, I remind myself and you all: Pray before your prayed upon. Death can come at anytime.
61 Ways to Lose Weight After You Start the Body by Vi Challenge 1. Have a clear goal. It should be one that anyone in the world can measure and understand like a 90 day challenge. 2. Drink tea.
