Australian Open Day 11 Recap - The first women's semifinal match was No. 30 Eugenie Bouchard vs No. 4 Na Li. This match was really a battle of an up and coming teenager against a veteran with experience in the majors. Li controlled the match from the very beginning. She was able to dictate the points whether she was serving or returning. Li's biggest weapon during this match was her backhand. Frequently she used this shot cross court to win the points. Li was able to smack 35 winners to only 23 errors. Li won in straight sets 6-2, 6-4. She is on to another Aussie Open final. Though Bouchard's run came to an end, we may have been able to catch a glimpse of what the future holds for the women's game. The other women's semifinal match pitted No. 20 Dominika Cibulkova vs No. 5 Radwanska. Going into this match, you would have thought Radwanska would have the upper hand. (28) Vasek Pospisil reached the Third round -- as his ranking dictated he should -- but unfortunately an injury forced him to pull out of his first round doubles match, as well as his Third round match v. (8) Stan Wawrinka. Oddly in enough, it was also v Wawrinka that Pospisil withdrew from the final at 5 - 5 in the 2nd set, in Auckland, NZ.
