The worst thing about Sin City: A Dame to Kill For is how it wastes Stacy Keach. The best thing is how much Powers Boothe there is.
Sin City 2: A Dame to Kill For (non-spoiler review) If you enjoyed the first one, you'll love this one just as well. Everyone played their characters as over-the-top as they should, and I have to admit, Eva Green did a phenomenal job as a femme fatale. Also: no one should ever play Marv except for Mickey Rourke. Also, hats off to Stacy Keach - as perfectly evil as ever.
In AFFLICTION, James Coburn looks like an unholy combination of Stacy Keach and Anthony Quinn.

Anyone remember the 1975 TV series "Caribe"? It was shot in Miami and starred Stacy Keach and Carl Franklin. Two cops, one white and one black, working together to fight crime. It only lasted six months but I never missed an episode. Nine years later "Miami Vice" would use the same premise.

Two men, barely 10 years apart in age, one with a lifetime of emptiness ahead of him, one with an empty lifetime already behind. This is what John Huston has to work with in "Fat City" and he treats it with a level, unsentimental honesty and makes it into one of his best films. The young man is one of those cool, muscular youths who seem to be bursting with energy in their last year of high school. Then you run into them two years later and they're pumping gas and daydreaming about refinements they can make on their cars. The older man was a boxer once, and came close enough to greatness to be haunted by it, but now he is a drifter and the next thing to a bum. Leonard Gardner's novel Fat City placed these men in Stockton, Calif., and contrasted the hopelessness of their lives with the dogged persistence of their optimism. Huston's film owes a great deal to the Gardner novel, but it also has something that is all Huston's own: His fascination with underdogs and losers. The characters in Huston movies hardl ...
JOHN CARPENTER'S BODY BAGS was a one-off Showtime horror anthology project released in 1993. I had read about it in Fangoria magazine but had no premium cable service at the time (still don't) and it sounded interesting. Cut to over 20 years later and I check it out on a newly released Bluray from Scream Factory. Overall I really enjoyed it. The production values are nice, the stories are varied and the cast is fully committed. Mr. Carpenter plays a ghoulish morgue attendant who introduces the three stories, and he also directs the first two parts. THE GAS STATION details a gruesome bloody night spent by a young woman (Alex Datcher) working the graveyard shift at a gas station in the middle of nowhere. She encounters odd characters essayed by Wes Craven, David Naughton, and a memorable Robert Carradine. It is a good warmup short that moves economically and has a couple of good gross outs. HAIR stars Stacy Keach as a man plagued by thinning hair who wants to turn back time to a more hirsute state. He under ...

Briggs & Howell (Howell edition) gives Nebraska 4.5 out of 5 skulls. Another excellent movie from filmmaker Alexander Payne(Sideways, The Descendants). This small town story about a borderline senile man (Bruce Dern) trying to make it to Nebraska succeeds in almost every way. Dern is trying to get to Nebraska after believing that he has one a million dollars from a publishers clearing house type company. Despite not actually winning, he creates quite a stir in his hometown as people believe he is a newly crowned millionaire. Dern is excellent here and he gives the performance of his career. The one who really surprised me in this one however is SNL's Will Forte, playing Dern's son. Forte proves that he can act right alongside some of these heavy hitters as he holds his own going back and forth with Dern. June Squibb, Bob Odenkirk, and Stacy Keach all turn in excellent supporting roles as well, playing locals and other members of the family. Payne shot the film in black and white, which really brings out . ...
It was 30 years ago this week that "Mickey Spillane's Mike Hammer," starring Stacy Keach, debuted on CBS-TV.
Hey, do you suppose Stacy Keach like really despises Joaquin Phoenix?
Wow, on syfy they are playing what was apparently a two part mini series. The cast is insane for such crap. Meteor, with Stacy Keach, Christopher Lloyd, Jason Alexander, Ernie Hudson, Zachary Ty Bryan, and Michael Rooker. Among a bunch of nobodies.
This movie is wack with this 2nd rate Stacy Keach impersonator
I love that Stacy Keach is so unnecessarily in this movie!
Watching Road Games. Always think Stacy Keach is Powers Boothe but he's not, he's Stacy Keach. Well anyway that was a fun story
CHRISTMAS QUIZ ANSWERS For obvious and understandable space reasons, the answers published in the paper were somewhat restricted. Here they are with a bit more detail ... 1 - THE last Irishman to beat World Championships middleweight silver medallist Jason Quigley was Willie Mclaughlin, in the welterweight quarter-finals of the National Championships two years ago next Tuesday. 2 - WHAT Paschal Collins, Steve Collins, Mike Culbert, Ben Lawlor, *** Leahy, Sean Mannion, Pat McCoy, Jim Montague and Sam Storey all have in common as professionals is that they fought in the famous but now gone Boston Garden. Paschal Collins, in fact (in December 1994), made his professional debut in what was the very last fight at the venue before it was demolished and replaced by the FleetCenter, now known as the TD Garden. 3 - THE youngest currently active Irish professional is Ballyhaunis featherweight Ryan Peake, who made a winning debut on November 2, exactly a week after his 19th birthday. 4 - THE boxing movie which star ...
I found my new comedy intro. "This next guy is the Stacy Keach of comedy...please welcome to the stage...DWIGHT MCCORMICK!"
Stacy Keach singing karaoke in 'Nebraska' could be the most underrated movie moment of 2013.
Celebrating Nebraska’s six Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, with a look at cast member Stacy Keach, author of All in All.
6 Oscar nominations for Nebraska--cast member Stacy Keach for Lyons Press:
should have seen the production a few years back. Stacy Keach got his whole kit off if I recall correctly.
I hope Stacy Keach gets to surf the wave of Nebraska's success: still such a screen presence. Podcast chat with also great.
Stacy Keach is very well preserved, and I still adore the way he speaks.
Watching Nebraska and thinking, "Man, Stacy Keach would have a great voice for Thanos."
I got to share my love of bad US mini-series with the world, come join me (warning much Stacy Keach) via

I met Stacy Keach today. We rode the elevator together after first rehearsal.
I doubt it'll happen, but I'd sure like to see Stacy Keach get a Supporting Actor nomination for Nebraska.

If you wait until afterwards to compare a hair in your throat to that Stacy Keach scene in "Body Bags" you're less likely to kill the mood

Stacy Keach and Steven Tyler are the parents of OctoMom.
My Movie Review: Nebraska stars Bruce Dern, Will Forte, June Squibb, Bob Odenkirk & Stacy Keach. Dern plays lifetime alcoholic father, Squibb is wife and mother of their 2 sons. Father is senile and believes one of those magazine “You have won one million dollars” advertising scam letters and insist he has to go to Lincoln, Nebraska to collect his winnings. After trying to walk to Nebraska several times, one son decides to take him. On the way they stop in Dad’s home town and have a family reunion. 77 year old Bruce Dern is perfect for this role. He’s been in 80 films and this is his first starring role. June Squibb was nominated for Supporting Actress for the Golden Globes and her sharp tongued character provides comedy. This film is shot in Black & White which makes the Nebraska, Montana, Wyoming and S. Dakota scenes of the “road trip” look as stark and desolate as the purpose of the trip. This film is only playing at AMC 16 and probably won’t run more than a week because its appeal is ...
The episode I watched was "Old School", it had Stacy Keach guest starring.
Just saw "Nebraska", what an absolutely charming movie with a terrific Oscar nomination worthy turn by Bruce Dern as Woody Grant, and a wonderfully understated performance by SNL's Will Forte as his son David. Nice to see Stacy Keach in a movie again as well. Directed by Alexander Payne (Sideways) and shot in glorious black and white. If action movies ain't your thing, "Nebraska" is well worth a look see.
HA HA! we were on stacy Keach's radar screen for a minute. that in itself is cool.
well, he read some copy they handed him. Not sure that qualifies as Stacy Keach "plugging" my show but it is very, very cool.
Tonight on PROFILES TV SHOW (NYC life Ch.25) at 11 pm is award winning actor Stacy Keach. Beloved by millions for...
To ALL AT BROOKLYN 99, Congratulations! A win well-deserved, and I am proud to have been on your show! Best wishes for continued success, Stacy Keach
Nebraska is terrific. Stacy Keach plays minor character. He starred in The 9Th Configuration in 1980. Neb is v.g. 9th C is a must see film
'Other Desert Cities' fact of the day - The role of Patriarch and Republican ambassador Lyman Wyeth was Played by theatre legend Stacy Keach who was seventy when he took the role. Mr Keach is most known for his role of detective Mike Hammer which he played thru the eighties and as the grumpy dad in Titus . In our production the part will played by drama group legend Phil Lyons who has appeared in dozens of plays with the group and returns to the circuit after a ten year hiatus.
Edward Norton & Stacy Keach were skinheads in American History X, but they were American Govt patriots in The Bourne Legacy. Pretty ironic
Who can forget her pairing with Stacy Keach in Butterfly?
Tomorrow I work my volunteer shift at the uptown here is what is playing so come on out. American Hustle 7 Golden Globe Nominations! Director David O. Russell presents a story based loosely around a scandalous 1970s sting operation that features an award-winning cast that includes Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper, and Jennifer Lawrence. Part crime thriller, part period piece, and part screwball comedy, director David O. Ressell's newest film is garnering raves as one of the year's best films. Brilliant con artist Irving Rosenfeld (Christian Bale) and his cunning and seductive partner Sydney Prosser (Amy Adams) are pushed by an unconventional FBI agent (Bradley Cooper) into the domain of New Jersey powerbrokers and mafia families – a world that proves to be both dangerous and enchanting. The film also features Jeremy Renner as Carmine Polito, the passionate, volatile, New Jersey political operator caught between the con-artists and Feds; and Jennifer Lawrence in an acclaimed performance as Irvi ...
Yes. And discovered via that doc a great B-movie called Road Games with Stacy Keach and Jamie Lee Curtis.
they sort of did that with Mission Of The Shark starring Stacy Keach. Its not very good.
Stacy Keach and Diahann Carroll present Angela Lansbury with her 2nd Award for Murder, She Wrote:
Genehouse Reprise: December 9, 2013 "Nebraska" I have just seen Nebraska, Alexander Payne's paean to his home. My friend, Tea (Tay-a) said last night, over dinner, "You know I am Serbian, Gene. And there are many, many things I did not understand about Americans. And then I saw Nebraska and I learned more about America in two-and-a-half hours, than in my twenty years of living here. It is a transforming experience, this film, a masterpiece. You must see it." Amen, Sister. This is a film in which there are two unusual, dominating characters: Sky and Horizon. They fill half of the screen, enveloping the humans, framing them in space, in contrails and clouds, in washed blue. There are five professional actors in the film; beyond that anchor is a cast of around twenty-five memorable characters. Payne shot actual people in actual locations. Their faces are haunting, changeable, shape-shifting sculpture. Their monologues, about the past, about love and loss, about their relationships with Woody, played by Bru . ...
From Dan: The film "Nebraska" is absolutely first-rate. Excellent. Well deserving of Oscar consideration as "Best Picture" and in many other categories. I went with no expectations; hadn't heard much about it and wasn't particularly eager to see it (the good wife was, so of course, we went). I turned out to be impressed. This film represents a slice of Americana. You'll recognize some types of people you know, and some situations from family and/or neighborhood life that you know well. All the while, it touches off serious thoughts about the human ache for respect (which often increases with age), some of the values of America as it was not long ago, relations between widely varying age groups and other worth-thinking about thoughts. There is laudable nostalgia in this film--a good, right kind of nostalgia about a strain of American life that is fading and almost gone. There are reminders of the value of being straight-talking and having good manners--not overdone, rather authentic and thus all the more . ...
MORE FUN TIMES AND GREAT FOOD & DRINKS AT THE SOHO HOUSE PARTY - Just down the Sunset Boulevard from Chateau Marmont, we drove to the Soho House where we went up the elevator with the iconic Jane Seymour and her husband Stacy Keach. They're pretty funny! Too bad the pic taken by Steve was pretty blurry. Bumped into Hollywood fashion designer Alan Del Rosario. More to come... such great company with Janet Susan Rodriguez Nepales and Ruben V. Nepales!
If you're looking for a respite from the winter blahs, check out "Nebraska" with Bruce Dern, Stacy Keach and SNL alum Will Forte. It's a real gem.
Bourne Legacy and Stacy Keach is in the first five minutes!!!
No disrespect to Stacy Keach, but if he's narrating the documentary, I assume the science behind it is dubious. At best.
Great performances by young Stacy Keach and Scott Wilson (Walking Dead's Herschel). Film is slightly kneecapped in the last act, but good.
u and Stacy Keach have undeniable great chemistry
Stacy Keach is great in Up In Smoke. Obviously I bailed on Inside.
hey DS Stacy Keach talking about your show
They gave Stacy Keach's character the same backstory as Robert Hays in Airplane! ffs.

Ugh, I just walked into my hotel room in time to see Stacy Keach and Linda Lavin on TV. That is too much wrinkle in one shot...
My brother just thought Stacy Keach was Powers Booth.
After sixty years of being a *** man...at least...I still had trouble accepting John Amos and Stacy Keach as a *** couple in an old episode of 2 1/2 Men.
Short take: IMDb sums up this movie like this: “An aging, booze-addled father makes the trip from Montana to Nebraska with his estranged son in order to claim a million-dollar Mega Sweepstakes Marketing prize.” To be honest, that’s it. Simple and sweet, it will melt your heart. Go see it. Longer take: IMDb gives this an 8.1 rating out of a possible 10. Rotten Tomatoes’ pro-critics give it a 92% favorability score, versus an 87% from the movie-going public. These high marks are well deserved for exceptional ensemble cast performances, especially from Bruce Dern and June Squibb, and a tight script that reveals more with its visuals than with words. The movie is shot in black and white, which gives emphasis to the stark conditions that exist in many small, farm communities, where jobs are few, most of the kids move away leaving elderly parents and family members to keep watch over the past. Woody Grant (Dern) has received a notice from a magazine seller advising that he has won $1 million—if his n ...
The Long Riders (1980) may hold the record for the film with both the largest number of famous siblings and offspring of Hollywood stars. The cast includes: David Carradine, Keith Carradine, Robert Carradine, James Keach, Stacy Keach, Dennis Quaid, Randy Quaid, and Harry Carey Jr. John Carradine did scenes for the film, but they were deleted from the final version.

This is going to go on for quite a few words, but I can't make it shorter. One of my favorite writers is Jim Thompson. The Jim Thompson novel “The Killer Inside Me” was perhaps his greatest and purest work. Thompson was the noirest of all noir novelists, often writing about violent murders in the first person. His characters seemed inaccessible and nearly imponderable. And yet you BECAME them due to his brilliant writing. You try to shake off their identities by say to yourself in the third person, “Well, he’s obviously a psychotic with a sordid background that Thompson feels isn’t important to relate.” Reading a Jim Thompson novel is about the guiltiest of guilty pleasures. “The Killer Inside Me” was made into movies twice, both times unsuccessfully. The first time was with Stacy Keach and the second time with Casey Affleck. After read a few Jim Thompson novels, I encountered “Bad Boy,” an autobiographical novel of Thompson's early life. This explains a lot. A 17 year old Jim Thompson ...
Walter Stacy Keach, Jr. (born June 2, 1941) is an American actor and narrator. He is most famous for his dramatic roles; however, he has done narration work in educational programming on PBS and the Discovery Channel, as well as some comedy (particularly his role in the Fox sitcom Titus as Ken, the…
How the *** did an exploitation director like Umberto Lenzi manage to assemble THIS cast in 1978 for the war film THE GREATEST BATTLE (aka THE BIGGEST BATTLE, aka iIL GRANDE ATTACO, aka BATTLE FORCE)?!? Helmut Berger, Samanatha Eggar, John Huston, Orson Welles, Stacy Keach, Henry Fonda, Edwige Fenech and Ray Lovelock star... among others. Not seen the film but would like to give it a look, just out of curiosity more than anything else.
