Just a few things to see in New York. The public library (can't wait to see Patience and Fortitude - the two lions that flank the entrance) St Patrick cathedral, Ground Zero, Top of the rock, Times Sq, Central Park, Empire State Building and so much more. Two more sleeps, but boy is sleep difficult to do!!
We did it. We've conquered NYC. 4 kids and 15 destinations. We did it all in one day. Saw Ground Zero, the memorial and museum, NYSE, Grand Central, Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Empire State Building observation deck, St Paul's Chapel, St Patrick's Cathedral, FAO Schwarz, even sat and read books at the NY Public Lobrary. Went to Time Square and even saw Carnegie Hall, Broadway and Wall Street and the Federal Reserve. Ended our great day by renting bikes and riding 3 blocks to Central Park where we looped the entire 584 acre park. Could not have squeezed more in a day if we had to. Great, exhausted times were had by all.
This morning I have a Big Apple Greet. Its a couple from Scotland. I will take them around the Midtown area and the UES. The weather looks cloudy and drizzly but should be very familiar weather for them. My walkabout usually includes St Patrick's Cathedral, Rockefeller Center, Grand Central Terminal, Temple Emmanuel, the food hall at the Plaza Hotel, Central Park, the Apple Store, Tiffany's, the Trump Tower, the atrium in the rear, the Steinway Showroom. coffee at Nespresso.
New York was fantastic!!! Barry Manilow & Phantom of the Opera on Broadway were beyond belief... The Astor on Central Park (hotel) was awesome, NY pizza was delish, designing my own Muppet at FAO Schwarz was fun, exploring Macy's and Saks Fifth Avenue was a hoot, Rockefeller Center and the Staten Island Ferry were terrific, St Patrick's Cathedral was awe-inspiring and Central Park was a beut! At JFK about to head home. What a eonderful time!
Flash back to St. Patrick's day 2009 Budweisers in Coffee cups in Central Park 🍻🍀 Not Irish, Not Ever.
Choosing classes for next semester by the end of the week. Stephanie and I are taking another bite of the Big Apple this weekend. It,s been almost a year since the last trip. We managed to find a reasonably (for Manhattan, that is) priced hotel. We've planned things we'd like to see this time around including the Statue of Liberty, the World Trade Center site, at least part of Central Park, Strawberry Fields, the Cathedral of St. John the Divine (we were able to see St. Patrick's last time and it is breathtaking). Ther than that, we'll play it by ear. Sorry if I've forgotten birthdays - I hope you had wonderful days. For those who are celebrating soon, enjoy!

Having a wonderful time so far - Lincoln Center, Central Park, Rockefeller Center, Radio City Music Hall, Trump Towers, St Patrick's Cathederal, and so much more. Resting for a while, then off to Broadway to see Porgy and Bess.
Home from 4 days in NYC with my 4 sisters. We had a ball. Took in Ryan's concert at the Living Room. It was awesome. Took in a Broadway show and did a lot of touristy things like Times Square, China Town. East and West Village, Little Italy, Central Park, Brooklyn Bridge, St Patrick's Cathedral. Grand Central Station, Ground Zero , Katz's Deli where How Harry met Sally was partly filmed and a gazilliom other things. Ryan was our tour guide and a fine job he did. Going to bed very tired.
Arrived in NYC this afternoon. Just got through walking up 5th Ave to Central Park, playing in FAO Schwartz, walking thru the Plaza Hotel, going along CPS to 7th Ave, eating at Trattoria Del'Arte (or however it's spelled), down to the unrecognizable but incredible Times Square, back across to 5th Ave, up past Rock Center, Saks and St Patrick's, then back to the hotel. Jamie is worn out, Luke is in love with the city, and I am in heaven.
