Thinking Out Loud:"The Party Is Over!" On Valentines Day. I received a letter from the Selective Service instructing me to return to Columbus, Ohio. Yes! I am going to be drafted in to the U S Army. This was in the month of April, 1958, I am 23 years old. I had left my finance in Lima, Ohio. I propose to marry her. We had been dating since the tenth grade. she had graduated from college and accepted my proposal. We set the date of the wedding, June 22, 1958. The day for the wedding of Charlotte and Edgar Jackson. That would be the end of my boot camp. Our beautiful wedding was held at Second Baptist Church on Spring Street near down town Lima. We spent our Honey Moon in nearby Detroit and Canada. We are making plans so that we can be together living in Europe. I was sent to Germany and she followed by flight. We had so much fun going out, sporting events, movies, swimming and bowling. we lived in a small apartment in the home of a German Ambassador. Life was very exciting. I was able to have a ministry .. ...

Markers to go up at Tupelo historic sites 2/12/13, 9:27 PM TUPELO, Miss. (WTVA) — You will soon see some markers going up in Tupelo. Those markers will point out special places in the city's history. The Tupelo Convention and Visitors Bureau is creating heritage trails featuring Chickasaw Indian, civil rights and Civil War sites in Tupelo and Lee County. "We hope to do the first marker in April," said Neal McCoy, the CVB's executive director, "and then, we'll do them hopefully one or two every month after that." McCoy expects about 20 of those markers to go up by the end of the year. The Chickasaw Indian trail will begin in Fairpark at the statue of Chief Piomingo. The first civil rights marker will be placed in front of Reed's Gift Shop, which used to be the old Woolworth store. The first Civil War marker will be located on Spring Street to mark the Battle of King's Creek.

The Postal Inspector General brought me a letter yesterday that had been misrouted and resided for many years in the lost letter department deep in the bowels of the old post office at Pearl Street and Spring Street in NA. It was my acceptance letter to college and if I would have only known, how it may have changed my life. There it was, although dingy and browned from the countless years and the dampness of the basement, the “Welcome Jack Jordan” to the Art Instruction School was finally delivered. I can still remember the disappointment when I hadn’t heard from them as the weeks and months passed after submitting the test from the back page of the Mr. Atlas Magazine. I had worked so *** that pirate picture, and finally my dream had been realized. A little confirmation goes a long way in ones’ self worth. I never had any ability or skill at anything, but I could trace with the best of them.

Seaford Delaware My Hometown; Boom town by the riverside Spring Street intersects High Street, which is the main downtown thoroughfare and home to businesses that are generations old. / The News Journal/GARY EMEIGH Written by CHIP GUY Seaford Facts and Figures Location: Western Sussex County, about 40 miles south of Dover. U.S. 13 is the major route running north-south through the city, with Del. 20 running west to east. History: Laid out in 1799. Seaford village had its first merchant in 1800. The area is first mentioned, though, in a 1726 deed for Thomas Hooper, who is often regarded as ñSeaford's first citizen.î The town was formally incorporated in 1865, and then reincorporated into a city in 1939. The origin of its name is as murky as the waters of the Nanticoke River that creates the the city's southern boundary. Two theories are that it was named for a couple horses owned by men who settled in the area at different times. Another theory is that Seaford was the site where a ford, or shallow crossi ...

Continue practicing until you see yourself in the cruelest person on Earth, in the child starving, in the political prisoner. Practice until you recognize yourself in everyone in the supermarket, on the street corner, in a concentration camp, on a leaf, in a dewdrop. Meditate until you see yourself in a speck of dust in a distant galaxy. See and listen with the whole of your being. If you are fully present, the rain of Dharma will water the deepest seeds in your consciousness, and tomorrow, while you are washing the dishes or looking at the blue sky, that seed will spring forth, and love and understanding will appear as a beautiful flower. ~ Thich Nhat Hanh ~
I wrote this back to a dear sister in Christ .. as most of you know I share what God asks me to this is one im sharing .. Sandra ... My Reply to Sandra .. 春节 (Chūn jié) Spring Festival Chinese New Year, also known as is 春节 (Chūn jié), is the most important annual holiday in Chinese communities. It is celebrated in many countries around the world. It is the first day of the lunar calendar. This year it's falls on 10th February. The holiday is celebrated with plenty of good food, family members, lucky red envelopes, and many other things colored red to represent good luck. Lion and dragon dances, beating drums, fireworks, firecrackers and other types of entertainment fill the streets on this day. It is the favorite holiday for the many adults and children who celebrate it. The most common New Year greetings are "过年好" (guò nián hǎo, Happy new year) and also 恭喜发财 (gōng xǐ fā cái) which literally means "congratulations and may you make a fortune". So, when you meet Chinese people on the street during this festive time you have a chance to try out these new phrases

The U.S. will have four fewer downtown department stores this spring, as Macy’s pursues its latest round of real estate reckoning. Houston’s 791,000-square-foot Macy’s store opened in 1947 on South Main Street as Foley Bros. Dry Goods Co. When the Macy’s lease runs out next month, preservationists fear the building will be marked for demolition. Mayor Annise Parker has created the Downtown Retail Task Force — a group of marketing professionals, developers and civic leaders — to find a new location for Macy’s downtown and to seek options for other department stores and major retailers downtown.   Local sources in Honolulu say they expect Lexington Realty to replace the 90,000-square-foot Macy’s store downtown there with offices. The site has a 450-car parking deck that sets the property in great demand. The building originally opened as Liberty House in 1850.   The Macy’s store in Belmont, Mass., which opened in 1941 as a Filene’s, is soon to close. The landlord, Locatelli Properties, ...
A Blue Bonnet Story My Mother's uncle Sherman came back from The Great War, WWI. It was called The Great War because there hadn't been a WWII so they hadn't started numbering them yet. Mind you, he was from Arkansas and we've all heard the phrase "Arkansas Traveler." I guess after being in Europe, things were kind of dull around those parts so he saddled up and came to Texas. He messed around for a while and finally landed a job as Border Patrol. Yes, the Immigration problem was here way before my parents were thought of and probably will continue a long time after I'm gone. Actually this was the time of the Mexican Revolution, which I know little about but some study of it is on my bucket list. This was when the Great Francisco "Pancho" Villa was back and forth across the Texas and New Mexico borders. He was a hit and run artist and found refuge in the USA, for a while anyway. He was a General, a soldier, an outlaw, Governor of Chihuahua, and Robin Hood all rolled into one. He evaded General Pershing lon ...
If I invented a pocket Lysol sprayer would you buy it? Here's how it works...as you are stopped at work, store, or on the street and someone who appears sick, starts speaking with you and coughing.there's a hidden remote button in your pants pocket.. and it activates a Lysol sprayer attached to the front of your shirt...if the person asks you what that annoying spray is coming from your shirt..you can just say, 'um it's floral scented' .dang but hooking up the remote on/off spray mechanism, that'd be expensive. so just go with carrying around a can of Lysol and just spray it on them... though not very polite... sick people everywhere... must make it to Spring..

What are they and why Do I Get Butterflies In My Stomach? Almost everyone has experienced that fluttery feeling in the stomach before a big presentation or a first date. Most of us know this feeling by the un-scientific name “butterflies,” but it turns out there are some scientific reasons behind the sensation. The digestive system is closely linked to a person’s thoughts and emotions, so those pre-presentation jitters can quickly turn into stomach acrobatics. Butterflies to the Rescue — Why It Matters Stomach butterflies are associated with the body’s fight-or-flight response. When the brain perceives a potential threat to survival, it increases alertness by raising heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing rate. At the same time, the nervous system stimulates the adrenal glands, which release hormones including adrenaline and cortisol that can turn the body into a tense, sweaty mess. Muscle tension (especially in the stomach) helps keep us alert; perspiration helps cool the body down. The smoo ...

The Higher Purposes of Winter "Thou hast made.., winter." Psa_74:17 It is always easy to believe that God has made the summertime. There is something in a perfect summer day that speaks to us of the divine. The beauty which is around us everywhere, the singing of the birds in every tree, the warmth of the pleasant summer sun, the amazing prodigality of life, these, as by filaments invisible, draw our hearts to the Giver of them all and make it easy to say, "Thou hast made the summer." With winter it is different. It is not so easy to see the love of God there. There is a great deal of suffering in winter both for the animal creation and for man. It may therefore aid the faith of some who may be tempted to doubt the love of God in winter if I suggest some of its spiritual accomplishments. Winter Deepens Our Appreciation of Summer One of the higher offices of winter is to deepen our appreciation of the summer. We should be blind if summer were perpetual. Someone has said, and very truly said, that our dear ...

As some of you know, about two years ago, I was driving west by the Intermediate School around dusk on West Park Avenue in my little convertible when I saw a large deer cross the road just at the edge of my headlights.    Having grown up in upstate New York, I remembered the old adage, "When you see a deer, there's always two." I was reminded of that when seconds later another deer crashed out of the woods and slammed into my driver's side door. Had it occurred a split second later, that deer would have been through the window and in my lap.  I had to pull into the school's driveway just to catch my breath.   The first thing I did was I called my mother to calm me down and then I called the police. For all my year's working as a Municipal Prosecutor, I had no idea whether to call the police - especially because I didn't see a dead deer in the road.   As it happened, the police did find a small deer in the woods down the road, so I hadn't imagined it. I felt really bad about it and even worse when I h ...
Imagine this. You are walking down the street, minding your own business and when out of the blue, a van pulls up beside you, burly men spring out to grab hold of you and pull you into the van. You then have your limbs hacked off before being tossed back onto the streets, bleeding to death. Sounds macabre doesn’t it? Say NO to Sharks fin soup today.

The clinic is open to any individual age 18 and older. There is no charge for the vaccine but donations will be accepted to offset the cost of the clinic. “Seasonal” flu vaccine helps to protect individuals against three identified strains of flu.

Let's dive right into this mess. First off let me say that it is just January! We have a long few months ahead of us. Severe weather is common in our region - each and every year. I know some of you have storm phobias. Please don't ask me what is going to happen in your town (this far out). We don't know specific details on severe weather until minutes before it happens. That is why you don't have a severe thunderstorm warning 12 hours in advanced. The best we can do as forecasters is tell you what may happen over a general area. Where we are concerned about a risk for a few severe thunderstorms. The odds of your exact location being hit by a severe storm or a tornado is very very small. You only have to look at how many times has your home been destroyed to know the chances are small. Yes, I realize some of you have lost your homes - many of us have lost people we know in severe weather. I realize that. But, I am reminding you as we move forward through the coming months - about the above. ...

Feel free to correct me! … Du darfst mich gerne korrigieren! … … But first let us take care that we avoid a danger! … [Phaidon - Plato] The danger of becoming misologists, he replied, which is one of the very worst things that can happen to us. For as there are misanthropists or haters of men, there are also misologists or haters of ideas, and both spring from the same cause, which is ignorance of the world. Misanthropy arises from the too great confidence of inexperience; you trust a man and think him altogether true and good and faithful, and then in a little while he turns out to be false and knavish; and then another and another, and when this has happened several times to a man, especially within the circle of his most trusted friends, as he deems them, and he has often quarreled with them, he at last hates all men, and believes that no one has any good in him at all. I dare say that you must have observed this … Yes, I said. And is not this discreditable? … The reason is that a man, havi ...

Good morning FBFs! 65 degrees outside with a forecast of 72! That's spring weather! It's a beautiful day over here on Margaret Street! Dave has left for work, Margarita is here straightening up the house, I am fixin' to get in the shower and wash my head, the dachshunds and Heidi the WonderDog have had their breakfast and Bird is whistling the Oscar Mayer Wiener song. I don't know what the day holds for me. I have learned that it's best not to make plans during this recovery and just take the day as it comes. Hoping that I can do something a little more productive than propping my fatness up in the bed. I hope you all have a glorious Monday! Smile, be kind to everyone and spread the love! Have a BIG TIME!
Upping my running today... Hope i don't die :)

So the builder on my street who happens to be on some committee formed by the original builders is giving us crap. There are deed restrictions but no HOA here. 1) that we can't have a camper (I asked before we moved in and have had it a year and 3 others on the street have it). 2) That we can't have grass clippings (we compost, both empty lots on either side of me have mowed 1x in 8 months, 1 of the lots next door has a pile 2-3x the size of my grass clippings of debris/grass from the original homestead prior to 2006 and there are several people with piles of grass and hay for horses). This is also the guy who 1x this summer we didn't mow when Steve went to MI because his dad was dying, I told the guy and he threatened to have 1 of his mowers mow it and charge me, when I told him the guy we knew was cheaper he started using that guy for his yard and the lots on either side of us was 2x higher and not mowed in months. 3) No trailers not being used (we bought a trailer for moving things to lakehouse and ...

"The street cafe provides a unique setting, special to cities: a place where people can sit lazily, legitimately, be on view, and watch the world go by... Encourage local cafes to spring up in each neighborhood. Make them intimate places, with several rooms, open to a busy path, where people can sit with coffee or a drink and watch the world go by. Build the front of the cafe so that a set of tables stretch out of the cafe, right into the street." —Christopher Alexander, A Pattern Language

A few weeks back i was asked why i liked reading so much, what with nearly 200 books to my name (Actual paper ones too, not the digital kind) and in reply i gave the answer "I just like reading", which is almost like trying to answer the question "Why do you breathe", it's not a simple answer that can be given. Even more recently my girlfriend asked me, "why do you prefer to sit with your face in a book rather than watch TV or play your Playstation?" and once again i was stumped for any better answer than "I just like reading" and so that's what i said. Then 3 days back i was speaking to an old school friend, Gav Hallam Rudd, who's own son is now reading The excellent Roald Dahl book 'The Twits'  and it got us dicussing Mr. Miller a teacher at Spring Street junior school and this little discussion opened the floodgates for many memories from my school days and my first joys of reading. Now i don't remember my first book i ever read, it was probably Spot or something to do with Roger Red-Hat and his crew ...

Easy as vistas admired only from great distance, explain away the mystery and another thatched village is cluster-bombed. Everyone gets what he wants nowadays. Anything you can think of is probably true. And so, nothing. Heaven on earth. The ruse of answers. A couple-three-times around the block and ignorance is no longer a good excuse. There were none. Detectives investigating an alleged armed robbery and stabbing in Orange earlier this month have arrested and charged a man. Shortly after 5.30pm on Friday 14 December 2012, a man entered a service station on Summer Street and threatened the female employee with a steering lock. The armed man allegedly demanded money and fled with a sum of cash before police were alerted. About 7.30am on Saturday 15 December 2012, emergency services were called to a home on Spring Street following reports of a stabbing. Police attended and found a 52-year-old woman with a stab wound to her neck, and a 55-year-old man with a facial wound. Both were taken to hospital and treated for non life-threatening injuries. Investigators were told the couple was stabbed by a man who had attempted to gain entry to the home and collect some of his belongings. Detectives from Canobolas Local Area Command commenced inquiries into both incidents. Following an investigation, a 43-year-old man was arrested at a home in Molong earlier today ( ...

Cable comic's Tom-foolery gets udderly sensational BY JOHN MCKAY Edmonton Journal TORONTO (CP) - Ottawa comic Tom Green says there's more to his humour than just sucking milk out of a cow or covering himself in shaving cream. Green is described as "warped" even by The Comedy Network, which gave him his own nationally-broadcast late-night TV show last season. He begins his second season on the specialty channel Dec. 4 after spending the summer travelling across Western Canada in a borrowed van, taping a batch of those off-the-wall street sketches that have earned him a cult following among university students. A master of the outrageous publicity stunt, Green, a gangly, sad-sack-looking 27-year-old, outdid himself Thursday when he agreed to suck milk straight from a cow's udder outside the downtown Eaton's Centre while invited media recorded the noon-hour event. "In nature, it works kinda like this," he told a crowd as he bent down and drank his fill from Dainty Daisy, a rather indifferent Jersey who munch ...

We will start with the fence sections that are wholly owned by the HOA and then move to other sections. c) The Board will begin strategic planning for the replacement of the pool house. This will be a a huge project, but one that will be necessary within the next few years. d) The Board has contracted with Lifeline Aquatics to take over the maintenance of the pool as well as gate monitoring. Lifeline Aquatics also has ...
When and where was your first kiss? (As in, what PLACE was it, not the place on your body- no TMI please!) :) A boy kissed my cheek at recess in 4th grade, (I should tag his name on this post 'cause we're FB friends! HA HA!) But my first "real" kiss was on my parent's porch with the guy I married 5 years later! :)

Ellen Brueckner-Cobb asks: You helped me a lot last year on our trip to St. Thomas and Water Island when we were on the Ruby Princess, so I am calling on you once again. By the way your advice and tips on Water Island were great. We spent the day there and had a wonderful time. We will be on the Caribbean Princess and going to Curacao. I see from your blog that you went to Kon Tiki Beach on Curacao. Is it similar to Orient Beach in St. Maarten where you can rent a lounger and get drinks from a beach bar? Thanks again - love your blog and FB page. We will also be visiting Aruba on this trip - any advice for a beach day there?

WEST VILLAGE ROAD KILL AND OTHER FOUND OBJECTS (Artist Statement) Dragonflies, turtles, birds, bats and grasshoppers live all around us. Theyʼre our roommates and neighbors. For a decade, I have been studying the creatures that I have found or my friends have brought to me as offerings: a bird found on Hudson Street, a bat on Spring Street, an orchid from a wedding on 14th Street. Each object, wether flora or fauna, is part of the urban story of my neighborhood, SoHo and the West Village of Manhattan, NYC. Concurrently in my studio, I have been experimenting with colored pencils. The flexibility and range of color in this new medium has allowed me to draw and paint with pencils. The result is the large works on paper presented in this exhibition. Here, the two- object and medium- come together, and I can use my facility as a draughtsman with my painterʼs eye as a colorist to portray the vibrancy, transparency and precision of a cicadaʼs wing, as well as the softness of fur on a mink or mouse ...
TRUE STORY In high school I worked with the choral and theater departments on the spring musical every year. There was a girl who had graduated a few years before me that everyone knew, and a close friend of mine (who was two years older) had known and spoken with about this story. The girl who this story is about is named Rebecca and how she could see "angels" and "demons." Since she was young she would always notice these certain kind of people walking around wearing all khaki clothing - buttoned up trench coats, slacks, long dresses, etc. She said they always had a sort of bland pallor to them. When she was younger she assumed everyone could see these people, but then she started noticing that they would follow people around... but the people they followed would never seem to notice. Every once in a while she would also see another type of person, this time dressed all in white, floating unnoticed behind other people on the street. Then she said that they seemed to realize she could see them. They woul ...

7 days to go and we have a single small crisis: BUT THE REST IS PERFECT! For those who have gone out of your way to create this modern day miracle- I say THANKS and the families are filled with excitement as I fill them in along the way! I am sad to say that TWO gathering groups that had committed to some BIG items for our families leaving the homeless shelter have backed out at the last minute. These groups had committed to gathering 2 twin mattresses, 1 pack and play portable crib for baby boy, 2 baby gates, a highchair for a baby boy. (We may have a lead on the baby items but NOT on the mattresses) The mattresses do not need a box portion- they just need the top part. I try very hard to make sure the beds are found every year so that each child coming out of a homeless shelter can have a bed for Christmas, and this last minute disaster is going easily solved because SOMEONE has an extra bed or two or can buy a low cost mattress. This is for the family that has 5 people sharing one room. Please forw ...

For those of you who don't know, across the street from my house is a "Memorial Tribute" to children/teens/young adults killed by violence since May 2007. I created this memorial when Blair Holt was killed, I was so frustrated because nothing that we tried to do was working to decrease the violence, all of it was senseless to me. I bought 30 stones from Home Depot, my husband built a make shift memorial. There are 376 there, we're over 100 behind! In the Spring we will rebuild it for the 10th Time!!! I wondered why there wasn't outrage over losing so much of our future, why we didn't start a revolution or something. Here we are six years later and I still wonder. When some parents visit across the street, I can hear them crying in my house. Each day I look over there and my heart breaks. The stones represent Black and Hispanic children/teens/young adults. Most of the families are very grateful for keeping the memories alive of their loved one. Mayor Emanuel said in his inauguration speech: "During the cam ...

Like I have mentioned, my Dad was/is a big hunter. He went to Maine every Winter for a week. Drove the 13 or 15 hours from NJ. His one vacation. Went with a buddy. He did not/does need an AR-15 rifle and a clip with 30 rounds. And defense against our government? ML King didn't need an M-16 -like weapon in the 50's and 60's and neither did the people in Egypt during their triumphant Spring.
Executive Summary: Heriberto Lazcano Lazcano is dead, according to the Mexican Navy. If true, his death will precipitate a rise in criminal action across the country as Los Zetas rights itself from this crippling event. Cities such as Monterrey, Nuevo Laredo, Zacatecas, and perhaps even Guadalajara will all feel the fallout of one man’s removal from the Mexican criminal system. But Ciudad Juárez, once the most violent city in Mexico, will remain calm. The infamous border town has gone through an emotional chain of events, dictated by the war for Juárez fought by the Sinaloa Federation and the Juárez Cartel. After a peak in October 2010, murders steadily began to drop. Currently, the murder rate remains at a relatively manageable level, compared to other Mexican cities, such as Acapulco, which continue to suffer abnormal levels of violence. We agree with our colleagues who conclude that the drop in murder is more due to the Sinaloa Federation’s victory over the plaza than the Mexican government’s ...

When the young street vendor immolated himself to protest humiliating living conditions in Tunisia two years ago, he didn't know that his fire was to ravage 50 years of despotism, and to make the return to politics, elections & "hard choices" possible in many countries of the region. All gratitude to him today, in his second anniversary...
February 13, 1998 By Douglas Cudmore Toronto Star Entertainment Reporter Tom Green spreads his madness Ottawa cult hero takes his TV show national One of his chores was to paint the house. He did - plaid `Bizarre behaviour that appeals to the college crowd' Now that Tom Green's moved out of his parents' house, he can get on with North American domination. The 26-year-old guy has moved into a ``cheap bachelor apartment,'' which doesn't have cockroaches - at least none he's discovered yet. He's a cult icon for 20-somethings in Ottawa and Toronto, with a hit TV show and a theme park in Mexico, but the apartment is one of the few rewards he's received so far. Things might get better, starting tonight. Chances are if you're over 30, you've never heard of Green, the seemingly insane host of (what else) The Tom Green Show. But if you ask someone in their late teens or 20s from Ottawa or Toronto what they think of program, the typical response is ``I love it.'' An over-the-top mix of talk-show takeoffs and man-on ...

Tunisia is marking two years since the start of the so-called Arab Spring, that has failed to bring the country either peace or stability. People are still unhappy and society is increasingly polarized, reports from the northern African country are saying. The media are reporting about the anger and bitterness in Sidi Bouzid, the place where a street vendor set himself on fire two years ago in protest against poverty and police harassment. Local newspapers today are noting continued poverty, high unemployment, poor economic and industrial infrastructure, according to AFP. President of Tunisia Moncef Marzouki will visit the vendor's grave during the day, while the presence of the country's prime minister was "uncertain". Protesters from December 2010, the victims of the regime repression, remain angry over the poor economic situation in the region. "The city of Buzajen Menzel (south of Sidi Bouzid) gave so much for the revolution, but got nothing in return in terms of investment and development. The situat ...

Now that the super injunction has been lifted I can officially tell you a tale of winter romance and daring deeds. and drinking. and hangovers.and further drinking. and more drinking! Our tale begins in 2012! December! It was a time of wonder! Of Romance! A time that would not, soon, be forgotten by 3 very special people! As Colette Veronica Deery and Paul Blacker walked hand in hand through Arthur Street, They stopped suddenly as they heard a lone guitar suddenly spring to life! They recognised the song instantly! It was their song. On the corner of the street a handsome bearded busker wrapped in winter attire began to sing. His voice had a rugged, almost, hung over tone " Im going back to the corner where I first saw you..." Paul and Collette stopped and turned to listen. "Gonna camp in my sleeping bag. I'm not gonna move. Got some words on card board.." At that moment Colette turned to Paul . She gasped... Paul was holding a piece of card board. The words read "Will You Marry Me" He dropped to one kne ...

From the book RUMORS OF SHORE by Paul Fisher APOLOGY TO THE MUSE I wanted to erupt through spring’s litter of splinters and sticks. Like a dew-studded seedling, I wanted to wear the rings of wisdom rippling the heart of a redwood tree. Sorry I took so long. Sorry I beat the faithful desk I owned, overfl owed my trash with tidal waves of angry, wadded poems. I sought shelter from wind, blamed the storm’s brackish bluster for ripping my roots. When slurries of mud hardened to street, my stalk—nailed deep in asphalt earth— wanted fistfuls of rain, a body of dirt, your junkyard of craters shining pointblank above Christ-old sequoia and cured concrete.

Absol is my number 1 favorite pokemon ever, i dont care what anyone says. now heres your creepypasta Absol I hate Absol. Hate them with a passion. Not because of what they are, but what they stand for. My whole life, I’ve been seeing them. It, rather. It’s actually just one. Every time I see it, someone I care about dies. I saw the Absol for the first time when I was only six years old. Me and my mother were taking a walk in the woods near our house. It was a large forest, and it had all sorts of small Pokemon in it. Seedot, Oddish, Zigzagoon, Taillow, a few Poochyena and even the occasional Marill. I loved walking in those woods with my mother and seeing all the little creatures run about. My mother always brought her Linoone, Breeze, to walk alongside us in case we were ever attacked, but we never were. Breeze was a quiet, gentle creature, and very kind to me and my brother and sister. She never got upset when we spilled juice on her, or bit us when we might have pulled her fur by accident, she was ...
