"John Boehner has been reelected House Speaker -- proving that the Republican Party sorely misread the message voters were trying to send to Washington. President Obama has his lap dog -- and the American taxpayers have been shown the dog house. I was especially disappointed in Rep. Trey Gowdy. He posted a message explaining that he was stuck in South Carolina due to bad weather. He then went on to say that had he been in DC -- he would've voted for Boehner, too. That one hurt, Mr. Gowdy." Todd Starnes SO DISAPPOINTING! Worse! A stab in the back of those who elected these people to do their will!! Are we no longer represented?? YES, I believe so!!
A tale of two men. Comparing what President Obama has said about Abraham Lincoln and the Emancipation proclamation versus what Fredrick Douglas had to say. One praising the devious betrayal of all black people as a great act for the union. The other denouncing it completely. The video is Obama. The text is Douglas. Like New Abolitionists Radio Join the Move To Abolish 21st Century Slavery * "I Denounce the So-Called Emancipation as a Stupendous Fraud" by Frederick Douglass (1888) In 1888, Douglass visited South Carolina and Georgia and realized how little he had known about the true conditions of his people in the South. On April 10, soon after his return, he wrote to one of the leaders of a movement for encouraging the emigration of southern Negroes to the northwest: "I had hoped that the relations subsisting between the former slaves and the old master class would gradually improve; but while I believed this, and still have some such weak faith, I have of late seen enough, heard enough, and learned enou ...
WARNING: RANT This won't be my last one of this, but. I just ran some numbers and it's obvious that our biggest issue in this race was our own candidate. I compared tonights numbers to Obama's 2008 and 2012 races, being the most unpopular democrat to run in the area in many years. Percentage-wise, because that's the only fair way to judge with the numbers we have, President Obama outperformed Hyme's in every locality except Tazewell (Hyme's home county) in 2008 and 2012, and in Buchanan County in 2012. 108 of 109 precincts have reported tonight. Chafin won 87 of those. Hymes won15 (9 of these were in Tazewell and Buchanan) Mullins with 5. Needless to say, Hymes lost every county. Mullins even won Dickenson. Before anyone says "Hyme's lost because of Mullins", it wasn't even close. Hyme's lost to Chafin by 7,715 total votes (-26.84%). Mullins total vote tally was 2,499 votes. Even if Hyme's got every one of those and each of them counted three times, he still would have lost. Digging a little further... Hy ...
BREAKING: Fourth Circuit Court Of Appeals STRIKES DOWN Virginia's Marriage Ban Via USA Today: A federal appeals court panel in Virginia became the second one this summer to strike down a state ban against same-sex marriage Monday, making it more likely that the Supreme Court will settle the issue as early as next year. The three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit in Richmond ruled 2-1 that *** men and *** have a constitutional right to marry that is paramount to state marriage laws. The circuit court has jurisdiction over Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina. The panel's decision can be appealed to the full court or to the Supreme Court. Like the first appeals court panel to rule on the issue this year in Utah and Oklahoma, the three-judge panel was deeply divided, but the swing judge -- in this case Henry Floyd, who was named to the bench by George W. Bush and elevated to the circuit court by President Obama in 2011 -- came down on the sid ...
Jun 18 2014 SENATORS MCCAIN AND GRAHAM DISCUSS DEVELOPMENTS IN IRAQ ON SENATE FLOOR Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senators John McCain (R-AZ) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) today discussed the developments in Iraq on the Senate floor. The video of the exchange and the text as prepared for delivery of Senator McCain’s remarks are below. Watch Senators McCain and Graham on Iraq here. Read Senator McCain’s remarks as prepared for delivery: “I have come to the floor this morning with my colleague, the Senator from South Carolina, to put to rest, once and for all, the claim that we hear so often today – that President Obama wanted to leave a residual force of U.S. troops in Iraq after 2011, that he tried his hardest to do so, and that Iraqi leaders prevented that from happening because they demanded that Iraq’s parliament approve legislation to grant privileges and immunities for U.S. troops who would remain in the country. “This is a claim made in growing desperation these days, as it becomes increasingly ...

Clyburn entitled, Blessed Experiences: Genuinely Southern, Proudly Black. In moving and personal prose, the Civil Rights Activist, South Carolina political icon and confidant to President Barack Obama describes his rise from the Jim Crow-era South to become, as President Obama describes him, "one of a handful of people who, when they speak, the entire Congress listens." Clyburn's narrative recounts his humble beginnings in rural South Carolina and his early involvement in civil rights and public service. He was elected president of his NAACP youth chapter when he was 12 years old, worked with Dr. Martin Luther King as leader of the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee (SNCC), and organized many civil righ ...

S.C. is suing the federal government over its abandonment of the MOX facility in Aiken County. At a Statehouse news conference this afternoon, Gov. Nikki Haley announced the lawsuit that was sparked by President Obama’s plan to shelve the mixed oxide fuel factory at the Savannah River Site. She said the administration's action "really is beyond belief.'' The governor said the federal government has reneged on commitments to fund the project and accused President Obama of following the rules he wants to follow and not following the rules he doesn't want to follow. She said his actions are hurting the people of South Carolina and "We're not going to stand back and take it.''
Missed this from Don Surbers Daily Scorboard 7 March: 1. Everyone including Weekly Standard the has overlooked the real importance of this story. From the Weekly Standard: "Obama Promises Illegals: Obamacare Sign Up Info Won't Be Used for Deportation." Everyone except the Scorekeeper. On September 9, 2009, President Obama lectured Congress for an hour on prime-time television on the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Obama: "There are also those who claim that our reform effort will insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false — the reforms I’m proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally." Republican Congressman Joe Wilson shouted from the audience: "You lie!" PolitiFact immediately leaped to its feet and called the congressman a liar in a piece, "Joe Wilson of South Carolina said Obama lied, but he didn't." Once again, PolitiFact lied and Democrats slide.

Republican Senators John McCain of Arizona and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina were among those blaming President Obama's administration for the capture by al-Qaeda-affiliated forces of territory in Iraq. by Jack Kenny
I am a military veteran, served during Vietnam, proud to have served. However, this country lost many good men & woman during that conflict. Remember the Tet Offensive (1968). Fought hard to keep Saigon. 1973 Saigon falls. Fast forward, history repeats in Fallujah.!!! Enough is enough...! Republican senators on Saturday blamed the Obama Administration for Al Qaeda affiliates over-running parts of Iraq, including the city of Fallujah, which the United States secured before President Obama removed all U.S. forces from that country in 2011. McCain, Graham blast Obama for Al Qaeda-related takeover of Fallujah, call situation 'predictable' Sen. John Mccain, Arizona, and Lindsey Graham, South Carolina, called the recent turn of events “as tragic as they were predictable” and suggested Obama misled Americans into believing that Iraqi leaders wanted U.S. forces out of their country. “While many Iraqis are responsible for this strategic disaster, the administration cannot escape its share of the blame,” .. ...
Robocall Issue "Piques" Governor Snyder's Interest in Campaign Finance Bill Promises made gifts exchanged after all it is the Holiday season right! Snyder has been on the fence about Senate Bill 661 because it called for keeping secret the donors of so-called “issue ads,” TV and radio political advertisements that seek to "influence" public opinion on an issue or disparage a candidate without telling voters how to vote. As a candidate for governor in 2010, political novice Snyder called for disclosure of those donors. Flash back to 2009 when "Republican" Joe Wilson, Congressman from South Carolina, shouted "You lie!" when President Obama was touting the benefits of his Affordable Care Act, now dubbed "Obamacare." the similarity's are uncanny. Timothy McGaffin II ~ On March 23 before the passing of the Enabling Act, Hitler said in his speech, “By its decision to carry out the political and moral cleansing of our public life, the Government is creating and securing the conditions for a really deep and inner religious life.” Former Governor Mitt Romney, when asked in a presidential debate held in South Carolina on January 16, 2012 that was televised on Fox News, whether he would have signed NDAA as written if he were president, Romney answered, “Yes I would have.” Romney continued by saying, when referring to President Obama and then to himself “...I don't think he's (referring to Obama) going to abuse this power and I know if I were President I would not abuse this power. And I can also tell you that in my view you have to choose people who you believe have sufficient character not to abuse the power of the presidency and to make sure we do not violate our constitutional principles..." Leaders in both countries assured the people that ...
If there had been such a detonation the USGS would have had it on their website and it would have been all over the media - had Russia fired a missile it would have made even more news... This October 2013 article about President Obama supposedly firing "four top ranking military officers" after they refused to detonate a nuclear device "in or near" Charleston, South Carolina, isn't a real news item. And neither is its follow-up which posited that Russia had successfully test-fired a ballistic missile in "direct response to President Barack Obama's attempt to destroy Charleston" as part of a "false flag attack." Both items are just more fictional "Sorcha Faal" sensationalism originating with a single disreputable source, the whatdoesitmean.com political conspiracy site, of which RationalWiki says: Sorcha Faal is the alleged author of an ongoing series of "reports" published at WhatDoesItMean.com, whose work is of such quality that even other conspiracy nutters don't think much of it. Rand Paul – Health Cancellations Based on Obama Regulation that Every Democrat Voted For Sen. This is from downtrend.com. Something is afoot with America’s Nuclear Arsenal. In the span of a few days, President Obama fired the nation’s top two nuclear weapons commanders without any real explanation. Earlier, on Sept. 3, whistleblowers within the US military reported a mysterious movement of some of America’s nuclear warheads from an Air Force Base in Texas to South Carolina. The mainstream media didn’t report it, but both Infowars and the Gateway Pundit had articles on it. At the time, there was speculation that the crisis in Syria had something to do with the nuke transfer, but this seems to have blown over – for now. But on the same day that the nuclear weapons were being moved to South Carolina, that state’s senator, Lindsay Graham was reported by CBS as saying: ““He [Graham] says if there is no US response [to Syria], Iran will not believe America’s resolve to block Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Graham also says those nuclear weapons in the hands of terrorists could re ...
05:00 PM ET What does it say that most of the 10 poorest states are Republican? FROM CNN's Jack Cafferty: As the Republican race for the White House heats up, here's something the GOP can't be too comfortable with: Most of the 10 poorest states in the country are Republican. Mississippi is the poorest... followed by Arkansas, Tennessee, West Virginia, Louisiana, Montana, South Carolina, Kentucky, Alabama and North Carolina. And the list doesn't even include Texas, where Rick Perry is governor and one in five people lives in poverty. In a piece on CNN.com, Roland Martin writes Republicans expect to win all 10 of these states in 2012, although President Obama won North Carolina by a slim margin in 2008 and West Virginia is usually considered a Democratic state. Martin points out that despite the red-leanings in these states, you don't hear so much from Republicans about poverty. In fact the word "poor" has barely come up at the GOP debates thus far. The only exceptions were: – Rick Santorum discussing wel ...
THE TRAITOR John Mccain IS AT IT AGAIN...IT IS MORE THAN TIME FOR MCCAIN TO GO...THE SOONER THE BETTER ! Dear Patriot, Senator John Mccain is at it again. McCain appeared on Fox News and blamed the Tea Party for President Obama's decision to delay veterans' death benefits during the shutdown. The decision to do so was entirely at the president's discretion, yet John Mccain blamed the Tea Party. Our latest piece examines McCain's ludicrous reasoning. Read here. McCain also claimed that he campaigned harder than anyone for the repeal of Obamacare by campaigning with Mitt Romney during 2012. Campaigning with the candidate whose Romneycare served as the template for Obamacare qualifies as campaigning for repeal in McCain's mind, even though most of us would see it differently. We're in South Carolina targeting another guy McCain likes to campaign with, Lindsey Graham. Your donations have helped us beat back the President on Syria, on Larry Summers, and on gun control. Senator Lindsey Graham is not what he seems. He has been hiding a dark secret from everyone. His friends, his family, voters in South Carolina, Republicans, and all Americans - and it’s finally time he comes out with the truth. He is an Obama-loving liberal. Senator Graham has voted with President Obama to bail out Wall Street and raise the debt ceiling so he and President Obama can continue to SPEND SPEND SPEND our tax dollars. Now, he is leading the charge with President Obama to pass an AMNESTY bill that would re-write decades of long standing federal law! And do you know why he is doing this? Because at his core, he is a liberal’s liberal.
All the nation is focused on the Senate and their vote on the ACA. Please remember this destructive amendment is also in that bill. "The Keystone amendment, offered by Senators John Hoeven, R-North Dakota, and Max Baucus, D-Montana, passed by a vote of 62 to 37. Though non-binding, the measure establishes the Senate's official support of the controversial project, and is symbolically important as President Obama weighs his decision on whether to approve construction of the pipeline. He is expected to make a final decision sometime this summer. The Senate also passed -- by a vote of 99 to 0 -- an amendment put forth by Sen. David Vitter, R-Louisiana, to end so-called "Too Big To Fail" financial advantages for megabanks, defined as any bank that has more that $500 billion in total assets. "This amendment is very simple. It says we should do away with the federal policies that create that subsidy, that uneven playing field," Vitter said. "It doesn't say it would forcibly break up the banks, it doesn't say w ...

“A vote against the resolution by Congress [to strike Syria] I think would be catastrophic . [It would] undermine the credibility of the United States. If we don’t get Syria right, Iran is surely going to take the signals that we don’t care about their nuclear program . If we lost a vote in Congress dealing with the chemical weapons being used in Syria, what effect would that have on Iran and their nuclear program?”— Sen. John Mccain, Sept. 2. The desire of some members of the Washington establishment to wage a strike on Syria to make a point with Iran goes far beyond Mr. McCain’s support for President Obama. This foolhardy position, regrettably expressed by many “prominent” Republicans — ironically, the president’s own party is more skeptical of his plan — extends as well to Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, Rep. Peter T. King of New York and even House Speaker John A. Boehner. In effect, these and other old-time pols are making it clear that the real target is Iran, as it shou ...

President Obama, whose election as the nation’s first black president was cited by critics of the law as evidence that it was no longer needed, said he was “deeply disappointed” by the ruling. Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg summarized her dissent from the bench, an unusual move and a sign of deep disagreement. She cited the words of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and said his legacy and the nation’s commitment to justice had been “disserved by today’s decision.” She said the focus of the Voting Rights Act had properly changed from “first-generation barriers to ballot access” to “second-generation barriers” like racial gerrymandering and laws requiring at-large voting in places with a sizable black minority. She said the law had been effective in thwarting such efforts. The law had applied to nine states — Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia — and to scores of counties and municipalities in other states, including Brookly ...
Even minority-owned businesses should be up in arms over this one. Banning Background Checks The EEOC says that screening for felonies is discriminatory. Are criminal background checks racist? That's the startling new legal theory that the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission unveiled this week in lawsuits against employers. It's another example of how President Obama's appointees are using regulation to achieve policy goals they can't get through Congress. On Tuesday the EEOC accused retailer Dollar General and a U.S. unit of German car maker BMW of violating the 1964 Civil Rights Act by using criminal checks as part of their employment decisions. The logic? Blacks have higher conviction rates than whites, and therefore criminal checks discriminate against blacks. The EEOC alleges that BMW discriminated against blacks because it screened contractors in South Carolina for convictions for "Murder, Assault & Battery, Rape, Child Abuse, Spousal Abuse (Domestic Violence), Manufacturing of Drugs, Distributi ...

States petition to secede from union. : Secessionist leader: Texas should separate from Marxist states They don't want to take their country back. They just want to leave it behind. As the dust settles in the wake of President Obama's decisive reelection last Tuesday, the White House petition website has been flooded by a series of secession requests, with malcontents from New Jersey to North Dakota submitting petitions to allow their states to withdraw from the union. Most of the petitions submitted thus far have come from solidly conservative states, including most of the Deep South and reliably separatist Texas. But a handful come from the heart of blue America - relatively progressive enclaves like Oregon and New York. All told, petitions have been filed on behalf of 20 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Texas. If this clown is the best the Barack Obama and his 'team' can find to fill one of the most critical Cabinet positions, we are ALL in trouble! Is Hagel as Good as It Gets? Republican senators are still determined to stop Chuck Hagel. First they delayed giving their former colleague an up or down vote for Defense secretary. On Thursday, they turned up the heat with 15 Senate Republicans, including Lindsay Graham of South Carolina and Marco Rubio of Florida, signing a letter that questions Hagel’s national security credentials and cleverly lavishes praise on his predecessor, Leon Panetta. Odds are Hagel still gets through, with none of the 55 Democratic senators having broken ranks. But Hagel’s curious performance earlier this month didn’t inspire confidence, and some would probably not be upset if the nomination just went away. But at this point, President Obama is ...

By: Robert Cox Obama´s inaugural speech signals liberalism is back CHARLESTON, South Carolina — There are moments when the history of a nation changes abruptly. It was palpable that such a moment had arrived for the United States six days ago when President Barack Obama concluded his inaugural speech. One dismayed commentator for the aggressively rightwing Fox News complained: “The era of liberalism is back.” Another warned, “liberalism is out of the closet.” Yet another moaned: “This is the most depressing day of the year.” What had happened was that President Obama, decisively elected for a second term against all the hopes and predictions of the top dogs of the Republican Party, had returned the United States to its founding principles, in fact to liberalism. In a speech that was a rhetorical rhapsody to the magic and majesty of democracy, the US’s first black president articulated anew “the most evident of truths”that we are all created equal. He emphasized his dedication to that ...

With President Obama now contemplating up to nineteen executive orders to combat gun violence, conservatives have started to flip out in characteristic form. Kentucky senator Rand Paul has accused Obama of acting "like a king or a monarch." South Carolina congressman Jeff Duncan declared last week, "We live in a republic, not a dictatorship." Mike Huckabee proclaimed that the White House has "nothing but contempt for the Constitution" and seeks to "trump ... the checks and balances of power in which no branch could act unilaterally." Texas congressman Steve Stockman has already threatened impeachment. (Can we say Racist Bigots??) Obviously, gun rights are a pretty sensitive issue for many people, but a little perspective is in order. First of all, President Obama has no intention of banning assault weapons, or any other kind of gun, through executive order. Instead, according to the Times, he's considering some pretty mundane tweaks that would seem to leave the "right to bear arms" fully intact: Actions t ...

Jon Stewart: "I swear to you, if I didn't know any better - and I'm not a big conspiracy guy - I would think the NRA is an elaborate after-vanguard, Joaquin Phoenix-style joke or a false-flag operation run by Michael Moore in an attempt to discredit responsible gun owners." David Letterman: "I don't know about the NRA. They're now saying they want all teachers to have guns, all teachers to have guns. But they still must use those scissors with the rounded safeties." Jimmy Fallon: "On Sunday, the White House will hold a private swearing-in ceremony for President Obama. Not to be outdone, on Sunday, Republicans will hold a private swearing-at ceremony for President Obama." Jay Leno: "Well, thousands of dead fish have now washed up on shore along the coast of South Carolina. Today, the NRA said that this wouldn ...

If that is accomplished, for President Obama to actively consider a petition, it must reach 25,000 signatures within the remainder of the same 30-day period. The White House reserves the right to change the time limit and number of signatur ...

Friends, First and foremost I want to say thank you. Because of your support, I was re-elected to Congress last night with 66.7% of the vote, the highest margin of victory within the South Carolina Republican delegation. Not only that, but our state also re-elected my conservative freshmen colleagues Trey Gowdy, *** Mulvaney, and Tim Scott. To say I’m humbled would be an understatement, and I thank you again for continuing to give our South Carolina delegation the opportunity to serve you. Now what about the rest of the country? Clearly I’m disappointed. I had been praying and fighting for a leadership change in the White House. However, what I saw last night was anything but a mandate for the President. I saw a country evenly divided on President Obama’s policies. I saw a Republican controlled House of Representatives, who were unabashed about their stance of holding President Obama accountable, overwhelmingly re-elected by the American people. When I look at the results of the election, it become ...
More people were on food stamps during George Bushes' service then President Obama's service! Newt Gingrich claims that “more people have been put on food stamps by Barack Obama than any president in American History.” He’s wrong. More were added under Bush than under Obama, according to the most recent figures. The former speaker made that claim Jan. 16 in a Republican debate in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and his campaign organization quickly inserted the snippet in a new 30-second TV ad that began running Jan. 18 in South Carolina. Gingrich would have been correct to say the number now on food aid is historically high. The number stood at 46,224,722 persons as of October, the most recent month on record. And it’s also true that the number has risen sharply since Obama took office. But Gingrich goes too far to say Obama has put more on the rolls than other presidents. We asked the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition service for month-by-month figures going back to January 2001. And the ...
NEWSFLASH!!! Anyone with relatives New York, Virginia, Connecticut and Pennsylvania. Contact them & PRAY!! There is a storm called Hurricane Sandy that is a mixture of rain, snow and wind that's part hurricane, part nor'easter. President Obama declared New Jersey, Rhode Island, New York, Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia as state of emergencies. This storm make Hurricane Katrina(New Orleans) & Hurricane Hugo(South Carolina) look like a regular rain. It suppose to HIT LANDFALL tonite in NJ/NY. Subway is shut down, buses shut down and over 7,500 flights cancelled already. It is projected to affect about 60 million Americans and experts are forecasting damages in the range of $2 billion to $100 billion! Pray for their safety! This is real. Look it up
Don't Throw Away Your Vote If you are a South Carolinian and support President Obama for re-election you should consider voting for the Green Party candidate for that office. Your vote for Barrack Obama for president is meaningless. South Carolina will elect to cast all its Electoral College votes for Mitt Romney. Voting for President Obama in South Carolina is simply throwing your vote away. By all means, do not fail to vote for the Democratic candidates for all other races, if that is your preference. Those candidates have some chance of winning and deserve your support. While I believe the president will be re-elected, it will be without the support of South Carolina in the Electoral College. On the other hand, if the Green Party can get five percent or more of the total votes cast in this general election it will qualify for federal campaign funds for 2016. Should the Green Party achieve that number, it will have a chance to get its message out to the American people. For the same reason, voters who p ...

Pressure Builds on White House After Release of Benghazi Emails In the aftermath of the release of State Department emails which document that Obama knew that the Al-Qaeda-affiliated terrorist group Ansar al-Sharia claimed responsibility for the Benghazi attack within 2 hours of the commencement of the attack, Obama is being pressured to come clean on why the administration lied that the attack was a result of a protest of an anti-muslim video. In addition to TV interviews, numerous leading Republicans have written letters to the White House or made statements on the significance of the emails. Republican Sens. John Mccain of Arizona, Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, and Kelly Ayotte of New Hampshire teamed up today to write a letter to question President Obama on why his administration "consistently described the attack for days afterward as a spontaneous response to an anti-Islam video." "These emails make clear that your administration knew within two hours of the attack that it was a terrorist act an ...
Once again, the rumors about straight ticket voting arise. Voters in states that don't even have straight ticket voting are being warned against it. Straight ticket voting is only available in Alabama, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah and West Virginia. Only in North Carolina must you vote separately for president/Vice President if voting straight ticket. My thinking on the reason behind these misleading emails? They assume (erroneously) EVERY African American vote is a vote for President Obama. But if we believe it's a multiple step process, we'll stop at President/Vice President and forget the rest. With record length ballots this year (Converse has a 59 screen ballot), other races could be lost...crucial Board of Education, Supreme Court, countless legislative and other positions. Personally, I'm willing to stand all day in the booth to ensure the right thing (as I see it) is done. Here are some links... Fake Group Hands Out Fliers Meant To ...
South Carolina congressman, Joe Wilson, shouted "you lie!!" during one of our president's congressional addresses. Arizona state governor, Jan Brewer, shook her finger in our president's face just as he had disembarked his plane in her state. Former Massachusetts state governor, Mitt Romney, shows unprecedented disrespect for our president throughout the 2nd presidential debate. Today, Romney's son, Tagg Romney, states in a National Radio program that he wants to physically assault our president and certain conservatives attempt to push New York Catholic Church cardinal Timothy Dolan to insult our president by dis-inviting him to a special party ("roast") to which attendance by the presidential candidates, has become a tradition. George W. Bush was, by far, the worst performing president I've witnessed in my lifetime and he did not encounter anywhere near the disrespect from citizens of his own country that has been endured by President Obama, who's job performance has verifiably shown steady, though slo ...
Congressman Joe Wilson of South Carolina writing today about the Obama Administrations instruction to federal defense Contractors to ignore the WARN Act regarding notifying defense workers of impending layoffs says: " This is the outrageous abuse of taxpayers for political gain! It is clear that this administration, out of fear of bad news before an upcoming election, has inappropriately used its authority to bribe private companies. Using taxpayer money to allow private companies to break the law, all in effort to make sure that President Obama gets reelected, should not be tolerated. Senator Lindsey Graham was absolutely correct when he called these actions, “patently illegal.” " I wonder how much Tax Payer money they are willing to spend in Chicago to get Obama reelected.
Thirty-nine days before the Presidential election, Mitt Romney doesn't appear to be the formidable challenge to President Obama that many expected. Indeed, Romney's ineptness has turned the tide in Obama's favor. What happened? A year ago, when the slate of Republican presidential candidates formed, it was Mitt Romney versus the "seven dwarfs:" Bachmann, Cain, Gingrich, Paul, Pawlenty, Perry, and Santorum. Many observers believed Romney would roll over his opponents and quickly garner the Republican nomination. Instead, Rick Santorum won the Iowa caucuses and Newt Gingrich won in South Carolina. For an instant it appeared Mitt might not be the nominee; then he turned on his money machine and swamped the others. At the end of April the Republican National Committee declared Romney the presumptive nominee. Romney is a reengineered George W. Bush. Both men are the sons of successful Republican politicians; George Romney was Governor of Michigan; George H.W. Bush was President of the United States. Both were ...
This might come as a surprise to some, that over 93% of Indian-Americans voted for President Obama in 2008. And the same is likely to happen in November. Gov. Nikki Haley of South Carolina, and Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana are rare apostates.
As I was nodding off last night, and awaiting today's weather forecast, who should appear on our local news channel, in all his glory, breathing fire and brimstone, is our illustrious South Carolina, (R) Senator, Lindsay Graham. ""We need to fight them over there", "boots on the ground", yada, yada, yada..The terrorists bla bla bla are in Malawi. I assume, that is the next country, we need to invade and vanquish. Graham is on the Armed Services sub committee, and needs to feed that hungry beast known as the military/ industrial complex. "This could change the course of the election," bla bla bla, President Obama is weak on defense. bla, bla, bla So folks, Malawi is the biggest geo-political threat to the United States of America..Al Qaeda is supposedly ensconced in that country.. Sounds a bit like a job for "Seal Team 6" or a drone not the whole bloody US military. Been there done that. These people love wars that other people bleed and die in, that bankrupt this country. Living here, is living in ...
Now some political humor about the DMC to brighten your THURSDAY. "If you're a donor to President Obama's campaign, you were promised exclusive access to Joe Biden - and for an extra $10,000 absolutely no access to Joe Biden." -Conan O'Brien "Former President Bill Clinton will be in Charlotte tomorrow night. And he'll also be at the convention." -David Letterman "What a different four years makes. At the last Democratic Convention the theme was 'hope and change' this time it's 'hope you don't make a change.'" -Jay Leno "The first two nights of the Democratic convention are at the Time Warner Cable Arena and the big speech by President Obama will be at the Bank of America Stadium. That's good thinking, the two things Americans love most: cable companies and banks." -Jay Leno "Former Democratic nominee John Kerry is going to give a speech about foreign policy. It will be like Clint Eastwood's speech except this time the empty chairs will be in the audience." -Craig Ferrgeson "There are reports that nine of ...
Three great speeches to end the night at the DNC. Sandra Fluke came across as intelligent, eloquent and confident. She has a future in politics if she wants it. Elizabeth Warren was passionate and did a great job of hitting on some of the bigger social issues at play in this election cycle and Bill Clinton is still the most charismatic mofo on the planet. He nailed it tonight with one of the best speeches I've ever seen. It was smart to not have him speak right before President Obama. As good as Obama is, he would have paled in comparison to that.
Latonda -- As an organizer who grew up working in the civil rights community, I've always considered August 28th to be special. Almost 50 years ago on this day, hundreds of thousands of people participated in the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom to call for equal rights. And as it happens, exactly four years ago, Barack Obama stood on stage in Denver and became the first African American to accept the nomination as the Democratic candidate for president of the United States. So every August 28th, I'm reminded of how much progress we've made -- and how much is left to do. 2008 was a historic election. But we still have work to do and history to make. This race is going to be closer than the last, so it's important we get involved now. President Obama is facing unprecedented spending by outside groups and a tough political climate -- he needs our support. Check out GottaVote.com now and make sure you can cast your ballot in this election. African Americans have a strong and proud legacy of voter reg ...
Whiteboard Face Off: ThinkProgress Takes On Romney’s Medicare Madness By Igor Volsky on Aug 16, 2012 at 12:58 pm Mitt Romney offered a white board presentation during a news briefing in South Carolina on Thursday morning that sought to untangle the campaign’s contradictory message about Medicare. Over the last week, Romney and Ryan have twisted themselves into a pretzel to attack President Obama for “stealing” $716 billion from Medicare, while trying to explain why Paul Ryan included the savings in his FY 2013 budget. Romney had previously pledged to sign the document into law. During the presentation, Romney tried to lay out the differences. Obama takes the money out of seniors’ Medicare Advantage plans and cuts payments to providers, causing some to lose his coverage, he argued. The program’s trust fund would go bankrupt by 2024, under Obama, and seniors would lose access to the care they need. His plan, alternatively, would preserve the program for current retirees and keep it solvent indef ...

Did Congressman Hansen Clarke just realize that there were literacy issues in Detroit, amongst African Americans and Latinos? I worked on literacy issues as a State Rep along with the Governor, a columnist for the Free Press and the National Black Caucus of State Legislators. His sudden revelation has prompted him to seek support from a black Tea Party republican Congressman Tim Scott of South Carolina who wants to impeach President Obama. Thank you Hansen Clarke for That One. dunno

I a republican solely on the Ideology of capitalism(free enterprise). Only in a total capitalist society were there is upward mobility that I a black man that is a high school dropout from a small itty-bitty town in South Carolina that was homeless one minute - then would travel many places in the world, be diverse in many cultures, and attend a prestigious private university the next minute. Can actually compare a similar from nothing to something path to a U.S. general and 18th president Ulysses S. Grant(a white man). I was very disappointed in Mitt Romney's disgraceful speech during a NAACP Conference today. also the black republican politician posse he rode in with. I respect the fact he attended and acknowledge us as voting citizens, but to have the audacity to ridicule not only the president, but the first African American president in front of black folks; are you crazy! It really does not matter I was voting for President Obama anyway.

"I know many of you are angry about the Supreme Court's decision to uphold Obamacare. I am too. We're now living in a post-constitutional era that is destroying our country. The question we must ask ourselves today is this: What are we going to do about it? While we may be tempted to give up, we must keep fighting. The Supreme Court's decision underscores what we have said all along: the solution to Obamacare will come from the American people as they rise up and send true conservative leaders to Washington. It's now clear that there is only one solution to our government's unchecked power: win elections. This is why we must pledge today to only support candidates who will fight to repeal President Obama's Health Care takeover -- all of it. If you have not already done so, please visit www.repealitall.com and add your name to the list of Americans who are taking a stand and demanding full repeal." Jim Demint - US Senator, South Carolina
I had the chance to represent President Obama in 2008 in his first Presidential Campaign in the State of South Carolina. It was a time when it was a crowded field including Senators John Edwards, Hillary Clinton, and others. He was distinguished as a candidate who had already created change because of his vote against the war in Iraq. Moreover, he is still making waves on creating change in this country today. From his Wall Street Reform, Universal Health Care, Auto Industry Bail Out, Immigration Reform, and Equality in Pay for Women-Lilly Ledbetter. He appointed the first African American Attorney General, first Latina Supreme Court Justice, and a woman Democratic Supreme Court Justice. "A Commitment to Change... Barack Obama.. President-2012 !!!"
Congressman Allen WestAttorney General Eric Holder is not about the blind execution of justice in America, he is nothing more than a partisan political hack that does not understand Federalism nor the Tenth Amendment. This is another example of the desperation emanating from the Obama Administration since their economic, energy, and national security policies have failed. It is evident that the Obama Administration, and indeed the President, does not believe in integrity in our electoral process. They do however believe in the interfering into the States’ ability, South Carolina and now Florida, to guarantee fair elections for America, by Americans. Eric Holder is a national embarrassment who should resign, if not, then he is a liability for President Obama, and I for one will ensure the American people recognize that fact.”
My cousin from South Carolina sent me an e-mail and since I don't know how to transfer it to FB, I decided to re-write it and share with you all and I want you all to share this with all of your friends and family, this is a must. Good Evening Family,Friends and Christians Everywhere, In an interview yesterday, President Obama said "I think same sex couples should be able to get married." That statement has people all over the Country talking. We even had a brief discussion during our Bible study at church today where I was compelled to make a point. My comment was this: "We all need to remember that the President took an oath of office to defend the Constitution. He did not take an oath to defend everything that is written in the Bible." Later, I elaborated a bit more: We-Christians, especially the Black Church-need to be careful about being sucked in by groups whose only motive is to defeat this President. Nor should we lose sight of our own needs simply because we disagree with the President on a singl ...
Senator Marco Rubio had some harsh words for President Obama during his visit to South Carolina yesterday
Some of the Obama Administration's worst regulatory abuses have arrived via the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB)—think of its lawsuit to stop Boeing from making airplanes in the right-to-work state of South Carolina. But such overreach is too much for at least one federal judge, who on Monday overturned the board's political favor to the AFL-CIO that threw out longstanding union election laws and was designed to make organizing easier. At issue in the case are so-called "quickie" elections, which allow unions to secretly gather signatures for an election and then ambush management at the 11th hour. Among other ultra-politicized changes, elections could take place in as few as 10 to 14 days from the petition filing, depriving companies of their legitimate rights to express their views on collective bargaining. As manipulative was the way President Obama's NLRB appointees raced the new rules into the Federal Register and violated the normal standards of administrative procedure. In December 2011, for ...
Strom Thurmond was a pro-segregation politician who held a US Senate seat for South Carolina from 1954 to 2003 when he died at age 100. He was against the Civil Rights Act and never went back or apologized for his views even until his death. Mind you, Thurmond fathered a daughter at age 22, with his family's 16 yr old Black maid. He never publicly acknowledged her nor did his family, but he did pay for her college education. Now for his professional career he believed in not mixing the races, but in his personal life, he had genetically done it, and hid it for professional gain. Now, President Obama gave his opinion in 2008 on *** marriage. He was against it. Now in his re-election year he supports *** marriage. Many *** are angry becuase they say its him trying to get re-elected. Think about it... President Obama and his Administration have… 1. Increased the deficit more than $4 trillion, causing the first-ever downgrade in the U.S. credit rating and for the first time raising serious questions about U.S. financial stability. 2. Issued 106 new major rules that cost U.S. businesses $11 billion in implementation and more than $46 billion each year. 3. Blocked Boeing's new South Carolina factory from opening to assuage his union supporters. 4. Raided a Gibson Guitar factory for violating an arcane India law even though India does not believe the law has been broken. 5. Issued an "ambush" election rule allowing quick unionization and limiting an employer's ability to present reasons for non-unionization. 6. Restricted how companies hire unpaid interns, cutting the link between students and employers. 7. Blocked the construction of the Keystone Pipeline that would have given jobs to thousands of American workers, further reducing the domestic oil supply and forcing our ally Canada to turn to China as ...
BREAKING: President Obama comes out in support of *** marriage - tells North and South Carolina to unite and blow each other. - National Lampoon
President Obama's minion, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is using Chicago-style politics of bullying and intimidation to keep states from enacting Voter ID laws that seek to protect the democratic process. By threatening legal action against any state that is seeking to enact these laws -- demostrating that Obama and Holder aren't the least bit interested in promoting election integrity -- but rather just the opposite! No doubt on orders from on high, Holder has launched legal action against Alabama, Texas and South Carolina -- three states that are requiring photo ID to cast a vote. Other states are considering similar legislation and are being threatened with legal action. His contention is that voting rights “are under attack [by Americans seeking greater election integrity] … a deliberate and systematic attempt to prevent millions of elderly voters, young voters, students, minority, low income voters, from exercising their constitutional right to engage in the democratic process.” Ironically, ...
Wow ... I just got an email from the White House inviting me to a private call. I think they sent it to the wrong guy! Disclaimer. If you are with the press please forget you saw this! - Friends: Please join us on April 20, 2012 at 11:00 am Eastern (GMT-5) for a conference call with leaders from South Carolina to discuss the Ryan-Republican budget. The President believes we should build an economy where everyone does their fair share and everyone plays by the same set of rules. President Obama outlined investments in education, workforce training, clean energy and infrastructure that will create an America built to last. He also proposed the Buffett Rule, which says that if you make more than $1 million a year, you should pay at least the same percentage of your income in taxes as middle class families do. On the other hand, if you make under $250,000 a year — like 98 percent of American families do — your taxes shouldn’t go up. But the Ryan-Republican budget, passed by the House of Representa ...
Quick Poll: Bigger Liar, Santorum or Romney? Santorum says California University system does not teach American History. Dutch people are scared of being euthanized and it is 5% of all the deaths in the Netherlands, involuntary btw. That means that millions of Americans will live with a power grid that is second-rate, like a Third World country... Romney pulls quotes out of context like his lie when Obama quoted him, lies about what he says despite obvious proof otherwise, George Romney marched with MLK, endorsed in 2002 by NRA, " "You know, in South Carolina we were vastly outspent, with negative ads attacking me,".
