Dear Ladies, Friends and Associates, So, was last night fun or what? It was a wave election. Some races were closer than we would have liked and others like Georgia was a happy surprise. As for Florida, I am still finding it hard to believe that Gov. Scott's race was as close as it turned out to be. Charlie (the flipper) Crist for crying out loud. We have so much good news to be happy about today. We celebrate all the wins by our Republicans, but since we are a women's club supported by our wonderful male Associates I want to point out some real accomplishments by the Republican women in our great country. First of all let's start with Pam Bondi...over 50% of the vote went her way. This is our state's way of thanking her for a job well done. Here are a few others to celebrate: Joni Ernst, first woman from the state of Iowa elected to the Senate. Mia Love elected as the first black female to the House of Representatives in Utah. Nikki Haley re-elected as Governor of South Carolina. Shelly Moore Ca ...

He has served in the Senate since 2013 when he was named to fill an empty seat by Governor Nikki Haley, but this is the first time he had to face voters to keep his job. Nikki Haley kept her job as SC Govornor also!
The people in South Carolina is crazy to put Nikki Haley back in office
"It's a tragic night in South Carolina." Four more years of Gov. Nikki Haley. What is pathetic? The people who stayed home and didn't vote - people who might have made a real difference in this outcome. I talked to a couple of people today who just couldn't be bothered, didn't make time or were disillusioned in some way and expressed that by not voting. Worse? The resulting consequences for the whole state - like no expansion of Medicaid for those who so need it. Please don't complain if you didn't vote. And, finally - thank you to Sen. Vincent Sheheen and Bakari Sellers for running, for your efforts to make South Carolina a better place.

Although my vote maybe against the status quo of those that's tearing up my timeline worst than a WWE fight and I have my reasons for my decisions that I made, voting is just a piece of the puzzle. You have to continually call your local office, voice your concern, write letters, even schedule meetings if at all possible to get answers. Don't just vote then fuss then do nothing for another 4 years just to vote then fuss again. Get involved and be active. South Carolina is not just Nikki Haley, Vincent Sheheen, Lindsey Graham or Tim Scott state, SC is our state. Now it's time for all of us to get to work. Not just wild out on fb then do nothing. Love yall

PM Narendra Modi charms 2 powerpuff girls in US NEW DELHI: Among Narendra Modi's numerous meetings in New York, two stood out for the quality of his interlocutors. His second meeting was with Nikki Haley, the feisty Republican Governor from South Carolina, a child of Punjabi immigrants, whose political future is particularly bright. Gabbard became a practising Hindu from her mother who practises Chaitanya Vaishnavism propagated by ISKCON. Her father, a Christian, is believed to be a singer of kirtans. She is not only the first Hindu but also among the first combat veterans, having served two deployments in the Middle East. In today's local paper. Yes, replace Duncan! Obamacare doesn’t need to be replaced Editor: If the truth be told, it is Congressman Jeff Duncan who needs to be replaced, and not the Affordable Care Act (ACA/Obamacare). In a recent Journal article, Congressman Duncan displayed a lack of understanding of the benefits of having ACA healthcare and the full impact that not expanding Medicaid has on the people of South Carolina. As a volunteer counselor for the ACA, I have signed up dozens of people for health insurance through the ACA over the past several months. They all are very happy and grateful to have health insurance either for the first time or to be paying much, much less for their health policies, which are much, much better than their old policies. From my experience, people are saving from $300 to $1,000 per month through the ACA for even better coverage. Those who are unhappy are the working poor who will not receive Medicaid since Gov. Nikki Haley and the other opponents of the ACA have left t ...

This is 450 more jobs for South Carolinian's...congratulations Nikki Haley...Governor of South Carolina! Factories employ hundreds of people. 'Adventure Center' will employ a few, where the 'rich' can go enjoy recreational activities. Just sayin.

For all of you gun toting right wings conservatives. South Carolina's Governor Nikki Haley signed a gun reform law yesterday, making it legal to carry into resturants and bars that serve alcohol, as long as you don't consume any. Nikki Haley has again declared a state of emergency as another winter storm brings snow, sleet and freezing rain into South Carolina. The storm is forecast to bring as much as 8 inches of snow to some areas of the state and up to an inch of ice in other areas. The state of emergency took effect at noon Tuesday and put the National Guard on active duty to support state agencies. The guard has wrecker teams and four-wheel drive vehicles that can be used in the storm response. The order also puts into effect anti-price gouging laws and allows the governor to take whatever other steps are needed to protect residents. South Carolina Exporters Post Record: $26.1 Billion In Products Sold To 202 Countries State Ranks First In U.S. For Tire Exports; China Was Top Export Partner In 2013 COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina again posted a record year for export activity, with more than $26.1 billion in goods sold last year to 202 countries around the globe. The 2013 figures, released today by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration, represent a nearly four percent increase in South Carolina’s export value, which was $25.1 billion in 2012 and previously an all-time record for the state. “Despite our relative size, South Carolina is a big state when it comes to our success in exporting, and it’s great to see those numbers continue to grow,” said Gov. Nikki Haley. “Our existing companies and the companies we recruit rely on getting their products to markets around the world, and South Carolina provides that access through a logistics network that can reach all corners of the globe.” The s ...
"We're going to completely eliminate unemployment in South Carolina by eliminating the federal minimum wage and allowing businesses to hire as many people as as cheaply as they want. Just imagine it. Just imagine how quickly Outback Steakhouse will bring you your food because they have 100 grill cooks making 1 dollar an hour, instead of 10 grill cooks making 10 dollars an hour. It just makes sense from a business standpoint." - Nikki Haley
Since Nikki Haley & the South Carolina State Legislature find my right to drink and shoot more important than raising minimum wage...I kindly encourage them to listen to metal for 8 hours straight, lock themselves in the Capitol building with five gallons of whiskey, & to all shoot each other to death. Don't stop 'till clips, chambers, etc. are empty. Yes, Mrs. Haley, I'm encouraging you and your compatriots to kill yourselves.

Conservation Voters of South Carolina has released the following statement in response to Gov. Nikki Haley's State of the State Address: "After three years on the job, we hoped Governor Haley would finally let voters know where she stands when it comes to protecting our precious Natural Resources. "Voters have a right to know if Gov. Haley will choose solar energy to grow SC’s economy or out-of-state trash. "Will she ensure we have enough water in rivers like the Edisto? "Will she protect the mountains and beaches that attract visitors from all over the world? "Finally, the governor did not the address the crisis of the Pinewood hazardous waste dump and the cost facing South Carolinians because of it. "Her continued failure to address these topics is disappointing. And that’s why Governor Haley earned a “D” on CVSC’s Governor’s Report Card. Shawn Drury Field Director CVSC
Vermont Governor Peter Shumlin, Chair of the Democratic Governors Association, issued the following statement on Governor Nikki Haley’s State of the State address: “South Carolinians have heard it all before from Governor Haley, and they know one thing for sure: she just can't be trusted to deliver on her word. From her cover-up of a tuberculosis outbreak to failing to inform 6.4 million consumers and businesses that their financial information had been hacked, Nikki Haley has proven that she's just not very good at being governor. And what's worse is that she refuses to hold herself or her administration accountable for their failures. "South Carolina needs a governor who will work in a bipartisan way to create jobs, rebuild a crumbling infrastructure and restore faith and integrity in a broken State Government. That’s exactly the governor Vincent Sheheen will be.”

I wonder why my right to be able to work in South Carolina and to be protected from a bribe taking crook like Henry McMaster attacking me and trampling my Constitutional rights and he had no legal basis to attack me is not respected within that "right to work" concept. What gives the right to a bribe taking AG so desperate to try and hide he and Rick Quinn were taking bribes from the con artists the citizens were paying McMaster to regulate. Nikki Haley speaks out of all three sides of her mouth in unison
When Gov. Nikki Haley uploaded a photo of one of her Christmas presents to social media Thursday, some of her followers saw it as just another day in the life of a South Carolina politician.

''She's a f**king raghead. We got a raghead in Washington; we don't need one in South Carolina. She's a raghead that's ashamed of her religion trying to hide it behind being Methodist for political reasons.'' —South Carolina State Sen. Jake Knotts (R), claiming that his Republican rival in the South Carolina Governor's race, Nikki Haley, has been set up by a network of Sikhs and was programmed to run for governor by outside influences in foreign countries. (Haley is of Sikh descent, and is now a Christian.) Knotts later clarified his statement, saying he did not mean to use the F-word. (June 4, 2010))
Gov. Nikki Haley and state Law Enforcement agencies can be sued by Occupy Columbia protestors who were arrested in 2011 after living for a month on the S.C. State House grounds, a federal appeals court ruled Monday.Haley and the chiefs of the state Bureau of Public Safety and state Department of Public Safety had asked the court to protect them from civil legal penalties, saying they only were carrying out their duties. While Monday’s ruling centered on whether state officials were immune from the lawsuit, the Fourth Circuit of Appeals in Richmond, Va., said the Occupy protestors have “a viable claim” that the state violated their 1st Amendment rights. The state did not have rules banning anyone from living on State House grounds when Haley ordered the Occupy Columbia protestors removed by 6 p.m. on Nov. 16, 2011, the court ruled.Police arrested 19 protestors that night. Those charges later were dropped.“It is not disputed that South Carolina and its state officials could have restricted the time wh ...
South Carolina residents-when are you going to wake up? We have *** like Lindsey Graham proclaiming "We are a Nation of Laws" and yet he knows we are a Nation of corrupt politicians-named Henry McMaster, Rick Quinn, Jean Toal, William Condon Jr. T. Stephen Lynch that use their office to take bribes and then attack any citizen that asks them to do their job not realizing they are taking bribes. These same crooks hide their corruption behind the shield of South Carolina. Then we have this piece of trash, Nikki Haley-"She just loves bribe taking crooks like Henry McMaster". Then she claims the State is "right to work state". Even with the "law school" in my backyard it is impossible to find an attorney because Jean Toal will revoke your license if you stand up for Justice. How much taxpayer funds is poured down this cess pool called USC LawSchool? The honest truth is South Carolina is as communistic as any town in Iran or China and trying to change it is going to require a fight because the named corrupt ...
A State Senator has pre-filed legislation that would restore funding for a South Carolina program required for hospitals seeking to build or expand services. For years, hospitals must get what is known as a Certificate of Need (CON) in order to expand or make a major equipment purchase. The purpose was to prove that a need existed in the community. But the process has very unpopular among state lawmakers because it often pits competing hospitals against each other. Gov. Nikki Haley vetoed the Certificate of Need program this summer and the House upheld it. But, even though funding was vetoed, the law requiring a CON still remains on the books. State Sen. Joel Lourie, D-Columbia, said hospitals have stopped any new projects over the past five months in response.

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Attorneys for Gov. Nikki Haley and Attorney General Alan Wilson said in court papers filed this week that the state of South Carolina doesn't have to recognize *** marriages performed legally in other states and the nation's capital.
I'm making a list of people who will not get my vote should they come up for re election. Lindsey Graham, Mark Sanford, Nikki Haley and Tom Davis. More to be added. These people are an embarrassment to the state of South Carolina
Gov. Nikki Haley says South Carolina is not required to honor *** marriages: argument, filed in federal court Thursday, comes in response to a lawsuit by a *** couple legally married in Washington, D.C., and now living in South Carolina. Lesson to learn from this Mark Sanford recap, and from what Nikki Haley says now: please don't talk to South Carolina Governors.
South Carolina is faring well during the federal government shutdow, Gov. Nikki Haley said Tuesday in Lake Wylie.
Gov. Nikki Haley has no plan to reopen closed national parks and monuments in South Carolina with state money as some other governors have requested. What do you think? Should she use state money to reopen parks?
The tenth amendment to the U.S. Constitution is fairly straightforward. It states, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.” Nowhere in the Constitution is a compulsory healthcare system created or even suggested. Therefore, the creation of such a system is a decision for the states, or the people of those states to undertake or to not undertake. To that end, in the state of South Carolina, the House passed, on April 24th of 2013, H3101, a bill which declares the “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” to be null and void. The bill also criminalizes implementation of “Obamacare” and establishes criminal penalties as well as civil liability for violations. The bill also authorizes the state Attorney General to, with reasonable cause, “restrain by temporary restraining order, temporary injunction, or permanent injunction” enforcement attempts within the state of Sout ...
An Invitation from our friends at the York County Republican Party: Meet Vince You really ought to get to know Vince Sheheen, the liberal state legislator from Camden who is running against Gov. Nikki Haley. The more you know about Vince, the better you’ll understand the gravity of what is at stake in South Carolina’s 2014 gubernatorial election. There are plenty of reasons why, but here’s a brief primer: Vince makes a living suing the state of South Carolina (in other words, suing South Carolina taxpayers). Unfortunately for you, he’s rather good at it. According to The State newspaper, his firm has raked in “hundreds of thousands of dollars” suing you, the taxpayer. Since he became a state legislator, Vince's income has nearly quadrupled, going from $93,668 in 2001 to $372,509 in 2009. (“Fringe” benefits?) Vince wrote an entire book about what he’d do if he’s elected governor. The highlights? Create a new statewide property tax, raise sales taxes by $600 million, hike income t ...

Gov. Haley signs bill boosting breweries' business COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Visitors can now quaff a hefty brew while touring a brewery in South Carolina, and the people who make beer are celebrating. Gov. Nikki Haley signed legislation Thursday allowing tourists to sample more beer on-site. Spokesman Rob Godfrey summed up the Republican Governor's support in one word: "Cheers!" "It changes everything about the way we operate," said Jaime Tenny, co-owner of COAST Brewing Co. in Charleston. "It's just fantastic!" That includes expanded hours, a "proper" tasting room, and more events with food. "We get to get more people in the door and educate them on our beer," Tenny said. State law previously limited on-site consumption to four samples of four ounces. That wasn't profitable, said Tenny, also president of the state Brewers Association. The new law allows people to buy and drink up to 48 ounces as part of their tour, allowing for tastings of full pints. Only 16 ounces — a single pint — can be the high-o ...
UPDATED: Haley Volunteer: 'My Role Has Been Overblown' Roan Garcia-Quintana says criticisms aimed at him are "desperate." By Shawn Drury Email the author May 25, 2013 "Ms. Sosanie, Vince Sheheen, and the Democrat Party weren't concerned about how this country viewed South Carolina when their leader made racial and then misogynist attacks on the governor, nor when he compared her to Hitler's girlfriend. They weren't concerned when their colleague, Phil Bailey, racially slurred her. And they were completely silent when a leading Democrat legislator referred to Nikki Haley, an Indian-American, as someone who wasn't a minority but just 'a conservative with a tan.' Their faux outrage is just that - faux, political, and as uninteresting to South Carolinians as where they want to take our state." - The controversial volunteer on Gov. Nikki Haley's grassroots steering committee says that his role in the governor's re-election campaign has been overblown by Democrats seeking to score political points. "They're des ...
Hope everyone has a safe holiday. But the insanity and the hate never stops. Or Takes a holiday. Virginia will always be home. But I believe the state song is still "Take Me Back to Old Virginny" And the escaped two who flew out the nut house running for both the governorship and the Lt gov have really taken that song to heart. Ken Cuccinelli is just fine with women staying barefoot and pregnant. Dictating what goes on and in between a woman's legs(Like the current state sponsored transvaginal rape governor. All in folks bedrooms, etc.) And now the black man running for Lt gov. said that planned parenthood is more dangerous to black folks than the KKK ever was. And in South Carolina, the republican Tea Party Governor Nikki Haley, a Sikn, has placed on her re-election team, a white supremacist.
Ah, Nikki Haley. Same qualities as Michele Bachman. No way either should represent actual people / voters... South Carolina’s Tea Party Governor Nikki Haley is in trouble. With her approval rating underwater, Haley has turned to the billionaire Koch brothers to bail her out. Outside groups supporting Haley are ramping up the attacks on her likely opponent, Democrat Vincent Sheheen. Her list of campaign contributors reads like a who’s who of far-right billionaires, few of whom have probably ever been to South Carolina and would most assuredly think of most of the voters as being really stupid. They KNOW they can buy this election and get more of what they want. Nuts.
THE NIKKI HALEY STORY The GOP hired this guy"Roan Garcia-Quintana, a director of the white supremacist Council of Conservative Citizens (CofCC), is closely tied to anti-immigrant organizations in the United States. Garcia-Quintana is a well-known leader in the CofCC, a group descended from the White Citizens Councils, which opposed desegregation of schools during the Civil Rights era." Well I am a concerned citizen of South Carolina to see our governor cohort with the enemy send a bad message. Governor hired a racist to her reelection committee. Seeing that I am African American, I see this action no good for South Carolina. I knew Nikki Haley was a bad person in my eyes’ but I did not know she would stoop so low to hire a white supremacist well this will show her as being a racist and inconsiderate of my feelings and the rest of the African American people. Well face book fans please respond to let me know how you feel!
From the State that brought you Gov. Nikki Haley, here's Mark Sanford. Stay classy South Carolina. Stay classy.
A Democratic Party leader in South Carolina targets Nikki Haley on her Indian origins, and faces a firestorm of protest over his racist outburst.
The Tea Party Tide swept a lot of toxic garbage into governors' mansions across the country-- Rick Scott in Florida, Scott Walker in Wisconsin, Sam Brownback in Kansas, John Kasich in Ohio, Rick Snyder in Michigan, Bob Forced Ultrasound McDonnell in Virginia, Nathan Deal in Georgia, Nikki Haley in South Carolina, Puppet Pat in North Carolina, Jan Brewer in Arizona, Paul LePage in Maine, Mike Pence in Indiana, Rick Perry in Texas... to name some of the worst of the worst. How do you actually name one overall worst though? Very difficult... but no one could leave Pennsylvania's Tom Corbett out of the finals.
hard to imagine a Democrat ever winning in South Carolina. The Tea Party already has Nikki Haley & Tim Scott there.
Gov. Haley setting stage for run for 2nd term RICHBURG, S.C. - Nikki Haley, the self-proclaimed jobs governor, has sold a business on South Carolina again. Haddon House Food Products chose to expand its 25-year-old distribution center in Chester County rather than build a new one in Florida because of incentives and other support that the first-term Republican Governor offered during a 45-minute phone conversation with the New Jersey-based company

Please take a moment and send a comment to Catherine Templeton. Some of the language in this memo is problematic and does not bode well for South Carolina's environment. To: All Interested Persons From: Catherine B. Templeton, Director RE: South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control Statute, Regulation and Policy Review Date: February 25, 2013 Recently, Governor Nikki Haley established a Regulatory Review Task Force to evaluate South Carolina’s current regulatory burdens on businesses and to propose recommendations to relieve those burdens. As part of this review, the Task Force will evaluate reports submitted by agencies that identify current and proposed statutes, rules, regulations, and policies that are a burden on South Carolina’s economy. To that end, all Cabinet agencies must submit a written report to the Task Force by May 15, 2013. The Governor’s order also encouraged other executive agencies, like DHEC, to participate. South Carolina news outlet TheState.com reported on Sunday that an official, comprehensive assessment of dramatic climate change impacts looming large in South Carolina’s future was buried and barred from release, apparently due to political pressure. According to TheState.com, the report was completed by a working group of 18 senior state scientists under the auspices of the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (DNR). Despite detailing major risks to vital state industries and Natural Resources, the document was never released after its completion in 2011. TheState.com reports that it recently “obtained” a copy but that it otherwise remains unavailable to the public. While the previous head of DNR, John Frampton, reportedly wanted to release the document for public review, he retired suddenly before the release occurred, after what he claimed was pressure to resign from an administrative appointee of Governor Nikki Haley. According to TheState.com, DNR’s new director says ...
McCrory to Obama: thanks for dinner, no thanks on drilling Submitted by marycornatzer on 2013-02-26 07:52 Tags: Under the Dome | Bob Mcdonnell | Nikki Haley | off-shore drilling | Pat McCrory | sequestration Gov. Pat McCrory used his few minutes of air time this morning on Fox & Friends to criticize President Barack Obama for not giving him and the governors of South Carolina and Virginia the go-ahead for off-shore drilling. McCrory was in D.C. over the weekend to attend meetings of the National Governor's Association, which included an Oscar night dinner at the White House and a meeting Monday with the president. "I asked the president whether he'd help Gov. McDonnell, Gov. Nikki Haley and myself in North Carolina to begin off-short exploration for oil and gas and I got a political speech and no commitment whatsoever," McCrory said. McCrory, Va. Gov. Felt I needed to research governors who are not members of National Governors Association. The list includes Florida's Rick Scott, Georgia's Nathan Deal, Maine's Paul LePage, Ohio's John Kasich, South Carolina's Nikki Haley, and Texas' Rick Perry. And, what do they all have in common...All Republicans. There are many other Republican Governors who are members of the NGA...Just not these six. Sad...They could all use professional development afforded by professional associations.
Reply with your favorite 2016 Presidential ticket...Democrat, Republican, Independent...it doesn't matter. Personally, I'm a fan of the Chris Christie (governor of New Jersey) - Nikki Haley (governor of South Carolina) ticket. For the moment anyway.
Last week, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo strengthened the state's already stiff gun laws, and President Obama followed with a call to action to control guns across the country. South Carolina's gun laws may be changing as well, just not in the way you might expect. Some South Carolina legislators a...
the more and more I experience the cultural diversity in areas like DC the more I realize South Carolina is still part of the Confederacy. It breeds so much racism and bigotry that even those not from the ruling class that rise up do so with the understanding that they are to pay homage to the Old South. What attracted me about Gov. Nikki Haley was she had the balls to call out the white racist males that have been protecting Jim Crow policy in SC. Where she falls short is she doesn't call out the racist policy. This shows me, she like several black politicians only use the Civil Rights rhetoric to advance their carreers. So many campaign on empty promises of a new south and plans to remove the flag with hopes to bring closure to SC's dreaded legacy. Well with each passing day we create a new legacy. As citizens of SC we have to take the bull by the horn ourselves. Stop buying into the false prophets in the govt and the pulpits that seek only to line their pockets. Any politician or preacher that only req ...
'Tokenism' vs. 'Diversity' The left's racially charged attack on Sen. Tim Scott. By JAMES TARANTO It's the first day of the 113th Congress, and one of the new faces in the Senate belongs to a man who was re-elected to the House: South Carolina's Tim Scott. Gov. Nikki Haley appointed Scott to replace Jim DeMint, who in turn is filling the shoes of the Heritage Foundation's longtime president, Ed Feulner. Scott is the first black senator since Barack Obama departed the chamber in 2008. In addition, as Adolph Reed, a University of Pennsylvania political scientist, noted in a recent New York Times op-ed, "he will be the first black senator from the South since Reconstruction; the first black Republican senator since 1979, when Edward W. Brooke of Massachusetts retired; and, indeed, only the seventh African-American ever to serve in the chamber." For Reed, who specializes in the history of black America, this is cause for complaint rather than celebration. "Modern black Republicans have been more tokens than s ...

AM DIGEST: The chairwoman of the Richland County Elections Board stepped down yesterday amid the debacle and controversy following the way the November elections were handled, but she also says the embattled director should step down as well. Gov. Nikki Haley has selected Rep. Tim Scott to serve as outgoing senator Jim DeMint's replacement. Daniel Inouye, one of the longest-serving senators in the United States, has died at the age of 88 after being hospitalized for respiratory complications. Former football coach Lou Holtz spoke to South Carolina graduates yesterday, talking about the renewed sense of pride at the university. A Lake Wind Advisory is in effect for the Midlands from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., so it will be breezy. Expect a mostly sunny day with highs in the mid to upper-60s. Here's a motivational moment from Rabindranath Tagore: "Clouds come floating into my life, no longer to carry rain or usher storm, but to add color to my sunset sky." Hope you have a terrific Tuesday wherever you are!

Please help: Good news! Senator Jim DeMint, a staunch defender of the religious right, is finally retiring from Congress. DeMint, who you may remember from his infamous claim that "We can't set up free societies around the world because they don't have the moral underpinnings that come from Biblical faith," may not be leaving DC, but his departure gives South Carolina the chance to make up for all the unscientific and fundamentalist positions he took while in office. Nikki Haley, South Carolina's governor, has the responsibility of appointing a senator to represent South Carolina for the rest of DeMint's term. Myself and several other nonreligious leaders, such as Richard Dawkins, are pushing for the governor to consider Herb Silverman, a proud Charleston resident, AHA board member, and president of the Secular Coalition for America. But we can't do this alone. We need your help to convince Governor Haley that South Carolina can do better than Jim DeMint and his religious right allies. That's why I'm aski ...

Gov. Nikki Haley now has the ability to give the US Senate its only black Senator — a conservative from South Carolina named Tim Scott.
I seen this and had dto share it South Carolina’s Medicaid agency and its largest health insurance company will no longer pay for women to give birth early for reasons of convenience, in an effort to improve babies’ health while cutting costs, Gov. Nikki Haley announced Monday. Starting Jan. 1, the Department of Health and Human Services and BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina – which together cover 85 percent of births in the state – won’t cover elective deliveries prior to 39 weeks, Haley said. “We’re not paying anymore,” she said. “It’s not healthy. It’s not right. We’re not going to do it.” The agreement is part of a larger effort, called Birth Outcomes Initiative, to improve newborns’ health. Officials decided to start with elective early deliveries, partly because there’s no medical reason for them, said HHS Director Tony Keck. Last fall, his Medicaid agency partnered with the state Hospital Association and other medical groups to eliminate those early cesarean secti ...
South Carolina used the same standards as banks and other private institutions when it decided not to encrypt Social Security numbers and other information on a database of state tax returns that was accessed by a hacker, Gov. Nikki Haley said Monday.
Just read an article about businesswomen Anita Zucker(aka the richest person in South Carolina according to Forbes Magazine) matching Darla Moore's contribution of $5,000,000(made/initiated March 2011) this week to USC's Aerospace Research Center which will be named The McNair Center for Aerospace Innovation and Research. This is the same new Aerospace Center/Program initiated by Darla Moore who asked the State to match her donation but Nikki Haley reportedly declined saying it was too "premature". Which makes sense.. because I can't think of any reason the state of South Carolina might want to back a potentially MAJOR new program that deals with an industry growing in South Carolina. Please, no.. spend our money elsewhere. I still can't get over Gov. Haley removing Darla Moore to replace her with one of her campaign donor a couple of years ago. I can honestly say at this point I am pretty sorry I voted for her even thought he other guy wasn't any better. Maybe this will be her wake-up call that this cou ...
Gov. Nikki Haley says South Carolina tourism is reaching new levels - Greenfield Daily Reporter
Artur Davis a former black Democratic Alabama congressman said that the Democrats don't have a Nikki Haley the first woman and minority an Indian American elected governor of South Carolina, Bobby Jindal the first Indian American elected governor of Louisiana, Susana Martinez the first Hispanic elected governor of New Mexico and soon to be Congresswoman Mia Love of Utah a black female. Artur Davis goes on to say that these Republicans are elected from majority white districts and the Democrats have minority elected officials in office in districts that are heavy democratic and are of their own race.
Just wondering why any young woman would think that Governor Romney is not supportive of woman's rights when he has always surrounded himself with strong-minded young women such As Mia Love, Republican Mayor of a City in Utah, who has been receiving death threats after speaking at the RNC; Nikki Haley, Republican Gov of South Carolina, who state under her leadership enticed a large Corporation to invest in SC, with a promise of lower taxes, thus, more jobs for its residents; Sara Martinez, Republican Governor of New Mexico. I think its because Romney respects ALL Women whether their Blondes or Brunettes!!!
This might come as a surprise to some, that over 93% of Indian-Americans voted for President Obama in 2008. And the same is likely to happen in November. Gov. Nikki Haley of South Carolina, and Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana are rare apostates.
Screw Congress. Todd Kincannon for Governor of South Carolina when Nikki Haley runs as Paul Ryan's VP in 2020!
The South Carolina Daughters of the American Revolution were honored today by Governor Nikki Haley as she presented to the SC DAR State Regent Dot Lind a Proclamation to all citizens of SC that this week Sept 17-23 is recognized as Constitution Week...a time of education about the Constitution and reflection on the great Blessings of Liberty that are ours as Americans. South Carolina has chosen a governor who supports , protects and defends this inspired document. As SC State DAR Chairman for Constitution Week it was my pleasure to present Gov. Haley with a replica of the blue flag called the Constitution Flag with hopes that it will be displayed publicly. The blue flag was carried on July 4 1788 in the Grand Federal Procession parade in Philadelphia along with 4 other liberty flags in celebration of our Constitution and establishment of a free nation.Thank you Governor Haley..it is a great day in SC..!!!
South Carolina is the 4th most miserable state. And that's from Live 5 News. One thing I see is we always pick losers to be our leaders. Like Jim DeMint, Joe Wilson, Nikki Haley and all these kinds of people who want to keep the good ole boy BS going. We need a change BAD!!
While State goes to *** Gov. Nikki Haley will balance her time between governing South Carolina and stumping for nominee Mitt Romney

Dear Governor Christie, We don't have teacher unions in South Carolina. Also, our Governor, Nikki Haley, doesn't support public school teachers. So you might support teachers but I don't think it is fair to say that the Republican Party in its entirety does.
Anyone who failed to hear Ann Romney's speech, at the Republican Convention, tonight, missed the best speech that's has been given by a woman at any event that I've heard or read. She did a marvelous job, and was surely speaking before the largest crowd to which she had ever spoken. Another fine speech was given by Nikki Haley, Governor of South Carolina. As the daughter of immigrants, she also did a fine job. Not surprising, neither of these highly attractive, highly intelligent, highly accomplished women began their speeches, as did Michelle Obama, a few years back, with, "For the first time in my life, I am proud of America."
Blood pressure up after after Nikki Haley, Governor of South Carolina, just gave her speech. South Carolina has poverty, the likes of which, we wouldn't have believed, if my husband through the Methodist Church had not attempted to refurbish houses with dirt floors, no utilities or garbage disposal. Public education ranks, second from last in the country. Segregation never ended in South Carolina. White children go to private schools and the black children go to public schools deprived of adequate funding. Voter suppression is fear in a system, where, in a right to work state, could mean the loss of a job or much worse. If you walk into a store and a black person is ahead of you on line to pay for a purchase, you are motioned to the front of the line, simply because of skin tone. If a black person complains, they are considered disruptive and can still get arrested.. Haley boasted about Boeing coming to Charleston. They trained workers at a local technical school. They are paying, those workers hal ...

I am deeply saddened by the shootings at the Sikh temple in Wisconsin yesterday. When I was in high school, I had a friend whose family was Sikh, her mother was a doctor and her father was part of the Indian delegation to the U.N. Sikhs are monotheists and their beliefs are similiar to Judeo-Christian beliefs. The men wear turbans because they do not cut their hair; a tradition similiar to that of Pentacostal women in Christianity. Governor Nikki Haley of South Carolina was raised Sikh and there are 500,000 of them in the United States. It saddens me that a sociopath profiled these fine people for his senseless slaughter.
Why is Nikki Haley giving a speech at the GOP National Convention? Like... Why? I feel like South Carolina Republicans don't like her anymore, and they elected her. A surface level decision by the GOP, first female governor of South Carolina doesn't equate to being a good governor of South Carolina.
Columbia, S.C. – After campaigning for Mitt Romney in Michigan, Nikki Haley is now heading to Aspen to appear on a Republican Executive roundtable. South Carolina Governor, Nikki Haley, is live on Michigan's Big Show right now. Some believe she will be Mitt Romney's VP pick. Tune in!
This is from the Democratic Underground...a VERY left leaning website. That said, I'm impressed that they had the sense to say what everyone should be saying on both sides of the aisle. Much respect. It is not defending Chick-fil-a to say that it is a problem when governments use litmus tests todecide which business can or can't open up in their cities. Imagine if say Nikki Haley had this power for South Carolina, does anyone seriously think she wouldn't use it to ban say pro union businesses, or pro choice owners. Maybe you want to give this power to Sarah Palin or Sam Brownback. See that is what happens when you decide that public official x should have a particular power, public official y also gets that very same power. You can't give Rahm Emmanuel the power to shut down Chick-fil-a without giving Nikki Haley the power to shut down Amazon or KFC or any other business she may not like. The fact is the mayors of Philadelphia, Boston, and Chicago were just plain wrong when they stated that because they d ...

Barack Obama’s Charleston Two-Step By fitsnews • on July 19, 2012Comment Email Print NOW THE PRESIDENT IS SHOWING SOUTH CAROLINA’S PORT SOME LOVE? PLEASE … After failing to included funding for its dredging project it his executive budgets (and working with S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley to push forward port expansion projects in other states), U.S. President Barack Obama is now suddenly all about the port of Charleston. You know … now that the taxpayers of South Carolina are shelling out $300 million to complete the project. According to The Wall Street Journal, Obama’s administration has designated Charleston as one of five ports where “work will be expedited.” They’ve even got a catchy title for this so-called expedited work – “We Can’t Wait” – although it appears as though we will have to wait until 2020. *** First of all, we don’t think any government (state or federal) should be in the business of funding projects like this – although we recognize that Haley’s her controver ...

Lee Bright (REPUBLICAN) are the two senators that voted to sustain the veto. People need to wake up and stop voting against their own interest.
Congratulations to Senator *** Elliott for receiving South Carolina's highest civilian award, the Order of the Palmetto, from Governor Nikki Haley for 30 years service in the State Legislature. Senator Elliott was instrumental, along with the Horry County Delegation, DOT, the Infracture Bank, The RIDE Committee, including others, in obtaining funding for the North Myrtle Beach Connector and the widening project from Highway 17 to Cherry Grove that others are trying to take SOLE credit for

I still hurt every time I see it,” Haley said to Greta Van Susteren of Fox New...
Video: Unhinged, bat-wielding Big Labor thug of the day repeatedly whacks Nikki Haley pinata
One liberal activist got a call from the President of the United States for being called a lewd name by a radio host and ideological adversary. Now I wonder if Nikki Haley, Governor of South Carolina, will get a call after having an effigy pinata in her likeness whacked with a bat by the South Carol...
"We're going to continue to be union busters in South Carolina." - Nikki Haley, introducing Marco Rubio at a S.C. GOP dinner.
I wrote Gov. Nikki Haley - fashion model, fiction author and part time tyrant of the state of South Carolina - a letter protesting her stance on contraception. Here is the answer I just got: "As I travel around South Carolina talking to families, business owners and community leaders, the priorities I hear about the most are job creation, education, and LIMITING THE REACH OF GOVERNMENT in our lives." "Women do not vote solely on contraception issues ... women are much smarter than that and, as a group, have broad and diverse priorities and concerns. It is with MY STRONG BELIEF IN CIVIL LIBERTIES that I oppose government MANDATING ORGANIZATIONS pay for contraception if it violates their stated principles." God Bless. My very best, Nikki Haley
LIBERALS DO NOT WANT A FAIR ELECTION South Carolina has recently been denied preclearance for its Voter ID Law. Governor Nikki Haley of South Carolina was hoping to pass a Voter ID Law before this year's election. The ID law was as good as passed until Eric Holder and the Department of Justice blocked their efforts. They blocked this under the grounds of the 1965 Voting Rights Act which outlawed discriminatory practices that prevent blacks from voting. So Holder must think blacks in South Carolina do not drive, work, leave the country, go to school, fight for our country, have a Social Security card, retire, or have a credit card. If they did any of these things they would have an ID acceptable under the State's ID Law. Liberals say the Voter ID Laws are not fair to minorities. Nikki Haley has fought her way to be the first woman Governor in South Carolina history. She is also a minority as her parents are both from India. If someone of minority not only supports these laws but is one of the main reasons ...
The Liberal Curmudgeon We recently watched Gov. Nikki Haley (R) of South Carolina state, "There is no War On Women." This week, Sen. John Mccain (R-AZ) followed up by calling the GOP's War On Women "imaginary" and "outlandish." Think Progress has produced a video proving that Republican animosity toward women is quite real. Watch this parade of misogyny among right-wing political and media personalities:

COLUMBIA – As the battle over the new federal health-care law continues in Congress and the courts, South Carolina officials are studying their options, including asking for exemptions from some of the law's provisions.Gov. Nikki Haley told The Greenville News that asking for exemptions is one strategy under consideration in a multi-pronged attack on the law, which she and U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham say the state can’t afford.“We do want to improve Health Care in South Carolina,” she said.“We do want to make sure the people who are uninsured find the Health Care they need. We are going to continue to look at Health Care in South Carolina in a way that's best for our citizens, not for the way that's best for Massachusetts or any other state.”Tony Keck, Haley's appointee for the agency that handles Medicaid coverage, is developing alternatives to the law that will allow the state to opt out. Keck said he was asked by the governor to develop ideas.“Whether the administration is going to accept th ...
