Rick Santelli is a Tea Party *** who hates Social Security and Medicare! He should go Fly a Kite.
The LA Times story on social security makes it crystal clear. Some of these Tea Party types are nitwits who want to destroy, not govern.
Predictions for the political future: Obama will be impeached and very probably convicted in the Senate unless there is one Republican who cares more for the Republic than he or she does their party! Affordable Care Act if not repealed will be severely restricted because now the godless Republicans can over ride any veto! A number of attempts to privatise Social Security will be made and possibly enacted by the Tea Party majority in the House and their allies in the Senate! The "social safety net" will be so full of holes after the oligarchs are done with it that it will be unrecognisable! Any potential appointments to the Supreme Court will be stopped by the ideologues in the Senate thereby forcing Obama to compromise and appease even more the GOP! Lastly I just want to thank the gutless "leadership" of the national Democratic Party and the Administration for this debacle we have witnessed Tuesday on Election Day and I want to especially thank the Liberal Establishment especially those in the mega milli ...
Middle Class Republicans, who voted in the Republican majorities in both Houses, are going to be shocked that these politicians aren't going to do anything that will actually help them. I believe there will be more tax breaks for the very, very wealthy and for large corporations. There will be no help for small businesses. Social Security will be under attack, as will Medicare. Global climate change will continue to be ignored. I can only hope that there will be enough infighting between the Tea Party and actual Republicans, that not too much damage can get done before 2016.
My fellow Progressive Democrats! What happened yesterday proved something to me that I'm sad to admit. Racism, bigotry and greed is very much alive and well in the United States and unfortunately, there are enough people in the country that feel this way to give the GOP/Tea Party Control of our country. Mark my words, they will try to impeach the President; they will let the American Legislative Exchange Council lose on the country, and they will block every single thing the President tries to do. Additionally, they will work on legislation to take away our Social Security and Medicare. Just because they won, doesn't mean they will change their ways and begin caring about the people. So my friends today is the first day of the 2016 Presidential election. We can't afford to waste time.
This is from a post I read awhile ago... I agree with it! "I recommend the reading of Sons Of Wichita by Daniel Schulman. Many people are unaware of the long and sordid trail the Koch family has taken in their eventual goal of ruling the USA. We are so close to living in an oligarchy and most people have no knowledge. The patriarch of the Koch family, Fred Koch was one of the founding fathers of the John Birch Society. The group that came to epitomize the powerful prejudicial opponents to the Civil Rights campaign of the 1960's. Oddly similar to the attempts made currently to disallow poor minority citizens their constitutional right to vote, most prevalent in Georgia and Texas. In addition, the Koch Brothers are THE founders of Tea Party. Yes, the majority of the members of the Tea Party have no idea just who they are in bed with. The majority of the Tea Party constituents have no idea that the 'big picture' includes putting a stop to the Affordable Care Act, Unemployment Benefits, Social Security and .. ...
Top 5 Reasons Mitch McConnell *** (VIDEO) Author: The Rambling Fool December 20, 2012 3:24 pm Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, the senior Republican turtle Senator from Kentucky, would have us all believe he’s a complicated man. That his positions on the issues are nuanced and varied in order to best serve the people of his home state and of America. That he has only our true best interests at heart. HA! The reality is that McConnell is a bought-and-paid for shill of the conservative military-industrial complex, the Tea Party, and the most demented aspects of the Religious Right. He’ll do anything, say nearly anything, and vote for anything in keeping with the views of his corporate overseers. With that in mind, I present you with the Top 5 Reasons Mitch McConnell *** Mitch McConnell on Congress: “It’s time Congress got its priorities straight. It’s time Congress focused on job creation.” (Source) Republicans are batting a near-perfect record on blocking the passage of any job bil ...
NHDP Statement on New Hampshire's 2nd Congressional District GOP Primary Results Manchester, NH - New Hampshire Democratic Party Chair Ray Buckley released the following statement regarding the New Hampshire 2nd Congressional GOP primary results: “Throughout the primary, Bill O'Brien protege and Tea Party extremist Marilinda Garcia has shown her true colors by embracing a far-right, extremist agenda in Congress that would devastate New Hampshire middle-class families, including opposing equal pay for women, supporting steep cuts to Social Security, rejecting a raise in the minimum wage, and denying women a right to choose. Garcia said she'd even consider shutting down the federal government in order to push her Tea Party views, putting Granite State middle-class families at risk and causing reckless harm on our economy." “On November 4th, Granite State voters will reject Marilinda Garcia's out-of-touch views and Tea Party agenda, and continue to support Congresswoman Annie Kuster's record of standing ...
The Republicans wants to make dramatic, irresponsible cuts to appease the Tea Party wing of their party, and senior citizens are asked to pay the price. Remember the Republican's radical "Cut, Cap and Balance" plan? It would have required deep cuts in Social Security and Medicare. And of course, the plan made those cuts while protecting tax breaks for millionaires and billionaires. It's wrong, and Jeff Merkley held the line by voting no. But Monica Wehby says she would have voted for it, balancing the budget on the backs of seniors and asking nothing from the wealthiest Americans.
BREAKING: Eric Cantor will step down as Majority Leader. Tea Party now is in full control of Congress. After losing his seat to a reckless Tea Party extremist last night for not being extreme enough, Eric Cantor will step down as House Majority Leader. The Tea Party extremists who are battling to replace him want to defund Planned Parenthood, privatize Social Security, supported the Ryan Budget and voted against the Violence Against Women Act and the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act! And their attitude is “my way or the highway.” Compromise and bipartisanship are dirty words. Eric Cantor's — hardly a moderate himself — departure means that the House of Representatives is going to get even more extreme.
from Gary Schrecengost: I know this is long but if you focus on the 1980 Libertarian Platform that VP candidate David Koch ran on, you will understand some of the scary issues that are becoming reality due to Koch funded GOP and Tea Party bills and initiatives, as well as their propaganda machines like the American Heritage Foundation and the Cato Institute and the Bill creationist group ALEC. Read what the platform says about the USPS, Social Security, Medicare and other Social Programs and Federal Agencies. I didn't realize the breadth/depth and scope of the Koch Bros hatred for the Middle Class, Poor, , Senior Citizens, Disabled and Disenfranchised nor how far back their influence has been, nor their desire to end the Laws and structure of USA Government as we've known it for the past 230+ years. It is well known that the Koch Brothers have provided the major source of funding to the Tea Party and want to repeal the Affordable Care Act. What else do the Koch Brothers want? In 1980, David Koch ran as the Libertarian Party’s vice-presidential candidate in 1980. Here are excerpts of the Libertarian Party platform that David Koch ran on in 1980: •“We urge the repeal of federal campaign finance laws, and the immediate abolition of the despotic Federal Election Commission.” •“We favor the abolition of Medicare and Medicaid programs.” •“We oppose any compulsory insurance or tax-supported plan to provide health services, including those which finance abortion services.” •“We also favor the deregulation of the medical insurance industry.” •“We favor the repeal of the fraudulent, virtually bankrupt, and increasingly oppressive Social Security system. Pending that repeal, participation in Social Security should be made voluntary.” •“We propose the abolition of the governm ...
You might have seen the email that said: "Bernie is going to Manchester, N.H., on Saturday at the invitation of St. Anselm College for a town meeting on the collapse of the American Middle Class and the growing gap in wealth and income in the United States. In the same town on the same day, the billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch are bankrolling a day-long "freedom summit" featuring Sen. Ted Cruz, Donald Trump and an all-star cast of other Tea Party favorites. It's not widely known, but before using the family fortune to launch the Tea Party, David Koch was the 1980 Libertarian Party candidate for Vice President. Here's the bad news: the extreme, anti-middle-class agenda proposed by Koch in 1980, when he got only 1 percent of the vote, has become mainstream for Republicans today: abolish Medicare and Medicaid, repeal Social Security, put the Postal Service out of business, eliminate campaign funding limits, etc. "If the Middle Class of this country is to survive, the right-wing extremist agenda of ...

"Across the (public) Political Spectrum - including the Tea Party, there is overwhelming support to protect and expand social security." Don't be fooled by the wolves in sheeps clothing, the Koch Brothers and Rupert Murdock. But Bush gave tax breaks, especially to the super rich like the Koch Brothers. The guys who helped fund the Tea Party. The Tea Party isn't looking out for the average person, they are for the very rich! is hardly true of the Kochs. When David Koch ran to the right of Reagan as Vice President on the 1980 Libertarian ticket (it polled 1 percent), his campaign called for the abolition not just of Social Security, federal regulatory agencies and welfare but also of the F.B.I., the C.I.A., and public schools — in other words, any government enterprise that would either inhibit his business profits or increase his taxes. He hasn’t changed. As Mayer details, Koch-supported lobbyists, foundations and political operatives are at the center of climate-science denial — a cause that forestalls threats to Koch Industries’ vast fossil fuel business. While Koch foundations donate to cancer hospitals like Memorial Sloan-Ketter ...
A note on the Obama Administrations dismal record. Criticism of Obama's record on many substantive issues does not in any way place one in an Alliance with the Tea Party. The Obama Administration has included cabinet members closely associated with the banking and financial interests and therefore failed to initiate effective Financial Regulation. Obama has appointed a very right wing supposedly bi partisan budget committee that is seeking false arguments to curtail Social Security and other programs that benefit the poor, but are less important to comfortable members of the upper Middle Class. This committee has no real and credible represntatives of genuine and honest reform from within the Democratic Party. It is made up of right wing Republicans like Simpson and representatives of the extremely regressive Business Round Table or "bulldog Democrats." All of this can be confirmed in the works of competent economists and observers like Robert Kuttner who are by no means of the Far Left Read the works of ...

How to rebuild America, Balance the budget and save Social Security. If Republicans/Tea Party really want to rebuild America and balance the budget they would do the following. 1- Close half of the over 1,000 Military Bases overseas, bring those Troops home which will add to our economy instead of someone else's. The real cost of these bases to taxpayers is close to $1.2 Trillion dollars a year. 2- Stop all Corporate Welfare which currently cost taxpayers over $100 Billion Dollars a year. 3- Pass Real Tax Reform. One Flat Tax Rate for every America to be paid on every dollar earned and close all tax loopholes for corporations and the Top Income Earners. This would allow lower tax rate for every American Taxpayer while increasing tax revenues over all. 4- Cut all Foreign Aid to countries that are harbor radical terrorist group that are killing their own people and targeting Americans. Reduce all other Foreign Aid by 50%. We need to take care of America and Americans first. 5- Stop funding for Air Force P . ...
This blog is right on point and is well worth the time to read. If America is ever to return the great country it was this seems to be the route to take. Give a read and let me know what you think. December 23, 2013 Robert Borosage The Beltway crowd has discovered populism. Senator Elizabeth Warren’s surging popularity from her aggressive defense of Social Security and demand for Wall Street accountability has triggered talk of a populist challenge to Hillary Clinton in 2016. Bill De Blasio indicted New York’s Gilded Age inequality in his stunning victory in the New York Mayoral race. This month, President Obama returned to his campaign themes, delivering a speech calling inequality “the defining challenge of our time.” Republicans, preoccupied with their Tea Party zealots, mostly have avoided joining the debate, but the Wall Street wing of the Democratic Party raised the alarm. In an incoherent article appropriately placed in the Wall Street Journal, the New Democrats at the Third Way scorned War ...

There doesn't have to be a Tea Party for the spirit to live on. What's more important on the right is that people know and understand the differences between Social Conservatives and Fiscal Conservatives and well as Social Progressives. Social Conservatives were people like George Bush 1 and 2, Nixon, and many (most) elected Republican candidates throughout the last century. Most were not against the New Deal of Roosevelt for instance. (Social Security) They usually were against Johnsons great society though. (and has been proved to be a failure) Most were not about making the government really smaller or less intrusive. There were few Fiscal Conservatives at all with any power then or today. Bush for instance was not a conservative from a fiscal standpoint. He grew government at the federal level as well as the state level as has his ex democrat buddy Rick Perry. It doesn't take long to see that what Tea Party people call a conservative and what John Mccain or George Bush call a conservative are two dif ...
If you're a progressive or Democrat, or both, it's tempting to look at the Republican Civil War -- the increasingly bitter struggle between the Tea Partiers and the GOP establishment -- with some satisfaction. The war is hurting their chances in 2014 and probably even 2016. But at least the Tea Party right is giving establishment Republicans in board rooms and on Wall Street a reason to worry, and offering rank-and-file Republicans a real choice. Establishment Democrats, on the other hand, couldn't care less about the progressive left, which has been so submissive and quiet for so long its concerns are summarily dismissed. What about single-payer or even public option? Resurrect Glass-Steagall and limit size of big banks? Exempt first $15K from Social Security tax and remove cap on income subject to it? A living wage? A carbon tax? Trade agreements with strict labor and environmental standards? Make it easy to form labor unions? Universal child care? Better schools? Free higher education? Paid family and ...

Jeff, "Republicans are trying to negotiate terms of surrender." That's what multiple reporters are saying this week. Pretty great, isn't it? This confirms what progressives have been saying for a long time: When Democrats fight with backbone, they win! It looks like the government will re-open with Republicans basically getting nothing. But they will get a promise to talk with Democrats about the budget in November and December. Last week, Paul Ryan announced the budget "deal" he will push as House Budget Chair -- cuts to Social Security and Medicare benefits. Unfortunately, the White ** ...
Remember Rep. Paul Ryan? The failed Republican candidate for Vice President has been relatively quiet as Tea Party extremists have commandeered his party and the debate over the Government Shutdown. But the House Budget Committee chairman waded into the debt-limit debate in a column published Wednesday in The Wall Street Journal. He said he would consider letting the government avoid default if “entitlement reform” is a part of the deal. Translation: he wants to cut Social Security benefits and change Medicare
On Oct. 23, a $12 billion Social Security payment must be made, followed by a $6 billion interest payment on Oct. 31. On Nov. 1, a huge $67 billion payment must be made for Social Security, veterans and others." Social Security payment is for funds borrowed and held in Tbills by Social Security to cover expenses for other things over past administrations. Why does the Tea Party hate our vets and grandma? More on the Koch Brothers who seek to destroy our Republic and take away what we have earned. They speak of stopping all VA benefits, Social Security and yes of course ObamaCare. The Kochs: A Rich Family of Right-Wing Extremists: Charles and David's father, Fred C. Koch, was a co-founder of the John Birch Society. He gave a speech in 1963 warning of “a takeover” of America in which Communists would “infiltrate the highest offices of government in the U.S. until the president is a Communist, unknown to the rest of us. Rich Puppet Masters: During the 2008 elections, Koch Industries contributed over $1.8 million, 88% to Republican candidates. To further their libertarian beliefs in limited government and a free market, they have supported the Tea Party, in fact "The Koch Brothers gave the money that founded it", and they are "trying to shape and control and channel the populist uprising into their own policies." David Koch has praised the Tea Party for demonstrating the “powerful visceral hostility . ...
Yes, Ted Cruz REALLY is coming to Virginia to appear at a fundraiser with his Tea Party ally Ken Cuccinelli tonight. There are three things you should know about their event: Shut Down Ken Cuccinelli and his ally Ted Cruz Ted Cruz and Ken Cuccinelli are coming together to raise money for the Family Foundation, one of the most extreme anti *** anti-women's health organizations working in the Commonwealth. Attendees at the fundraiser will each get a copy of Ken Cuccinelli's book, in which he makes extreme arguments like this one: "bad politicians" created Medicare and Social Security to "make people dependent on government." Here's the most important part: Ted Cruz is the architect of the devastating Government Shutdown that has furloughed thousands of Virginians — their paychecks have stopped, putting their families and our economy at risk. And my opponent Ken Cuccinelli is choosing to stand next to the person most responsible tomorrow night. Virginians are hurting from Ted Cruz's shutdown. We cannot af ...
Musing on Government Shutdown and the self-inflicted misnomer of the "Tea Party." The patriots who threw the tea into Boston Harbor were protesting "taxation without representation." They weren't seeking anarchy but a chance to govern themselves for the good of all. I imagine they would bemoan the use of this term by obstructionists who seem to have narrow self-interest in mind. For the shutdown - what is essential and what isn't? Who should go without pay and who shoudn't? It might be a wonderful sign of solidarity if those federal workers lucky enough to be paid right now chose to donate their paychecks to those deemed "nonessential." (starting with the Congress members and President, etc.) What about those of use lucky enough to receive our Social Security benefit this month? Remember Benjamin Franklin and his words to the Continental Congress when they signed the Declaration of Independence: Surely we must all hang together or we will all hang separately.
Hey, let's all support the Tea Party and have a total Government Shutdown. We don't need millions of federal employees anyway, look at the Labor Costs. What's that you say? That includes the Military? Summer is over, no one needs to waste time going to National Parks. Who needs the U.S. Mail? Do they bring anything besides bills? Frankly I'm getting pretty P.O.'d by these 47%ers demanding their Social Security checks, Medicare, and Medicaid benefits; and the VA? All of this, Big Deal. Do you see what happens when you set on your *** and don't vote in off-year Elections? Guess what? The looneys get out the vote, and they get elected because you sat at home thinking "hey, I did my part, I got Barack Obama elected in 2008. You see, I'm Liberal and this is as far as I go. I don't even know my Congressman's name." The Choice is really very simple. If you like the status quo, stay home and don't participate in Nov., 2014. OK - here we are hanging on by our fingernails and hoping that after President Obama VETOES The gutting of the Affordable Care Act that is attached to the Republican version of our country's Fiscal Year Budget.THIS is what Wall Street Journal is worried about. I never was a hugely wealthy investor, so I find it ludicrous they're advising and projecting economic advice when they're part of the problem Don't forget if this budget isn't fixed by the middle of this month, this country won't be able to pay the bills and the ACA will definitely go down the tubes - along with Military pay, benefits, Social Security and help for millions of us elderly and handicapped folks. Bill, My 28 years of political experience have taken me to all 50 states. And in all those years, in all those states, I don't believe I have ever seen a major party's candidate for governor in a swing state who has the extreme positions of Virginia GOP candidate Ken Cuccinelli. Cuccinelli is a Tea Party favorite and a right-wing extremist. How extreme? Let me count the ways: 1. He hates Social Security and Medicare. In his book he specifically described those benefits - benefits earned by every American who pays into them -- this way: "These programs make people dependent on government." 2. He hates birth control. He has said people should be willing to go to jail to stop Obamacare from covering contraception. Heard enough already from Cuccinelli and his right-wing friends? Click here to donate $3 or more to the DGA before our June 30 deadline – we’ll get it tripled and directly out to the field to help fight back against these radical extremists. 3. Tea Party people CRYING about delays in tax-exempt status? They do have reason to be offended. That sort of stuff has happened many times in US history and it was never right then and isn't right now. However, I smell crocodile tears. They would sneer at anyone who cried about his or her Social Security benefits being delayed.
This is the initial setup for the Guillotine Party. It is setup as an opposition party to the Tea Party. I set this up because Lloyd C. Blankfein of Goldman Sachs stated that the Social Security age to should be raised to 70 because people are living longer and they like to work until they are 70 or older. It is easy for him to say that since he and his family have servants to do all the menial and daily drudge work for them. The 99% do not have these options and daily work takes a hard told mentally and physically. Also, his statment reminds of Marie Antoinette's famous remark "Let them eat cake." I welcome all input and help in making this real political force in America. email GuillotineParty

Reader Mail (PODER/Ted Cruz): "Your article on Ted Cruz in Poder almost put me off my fried rice and wanton soup lunch. My stomach was able to keep its composure thru the first sentences about the GOP offering true economic opportunity (He never mentions that the opportunity he is talking about is for his party’s well connected corporate friends and not for the poor or Middle Class). My stomach started rumbling while reading such trite as “who became a political rock star” and “lean build, boyish face, hint of a Lone Star twang”. As you well note, he was elected by having support of the Tea Party. (Check how many Hispanics show up when they are having a rally). As for his being in a fast track in Washington, he will be promptly derailed when the Tea Party is finally kicked out of Congress. You are correct in saying that his story isn’t where he has arrived but how he got there. Republicans do not want to fix Social Security; they just want do away with it. Watching the noon news today, I saw a story about a “Tea Party" protest in Montgomery. It reminded me of the folks in Alabama who had petitioned for secession from the United States after the last election. Well, it could work I guess. We would no longer pay one dollar in tax to Washington D.C. and receive two dollars back like we do now; but I’m sure our fabulous legislature will figure out something. Not being a part of the United Sates means we will no longer have to worry about paying Social Security Taxes. We won’t have to worry about Social Security or Medicare at all, we won’t have it and everybody that reaches retirement can either keep on working or depend on their children or their Churches to see them through. We are after all in the Bible Belt. We also have our state legislature and we all know how great they get things done. We will need an Army and I guess a Navy, but we have a lot of folks with guns and some folks have some boats. We could seize the few military facilities we have . ...

You make three complaints. (1) Your taxes went up. This is either went up because you are in top 1.5% and the Bush tax cuts exspired (which i support), or because the payroll tax holiday exspired, which was inevitable, and in an era of deficits, no one fought to extend, not even the Tea Party). (2) Your employer stoped offering you health insurance. That can only mean your employer is of a small parasitic collection of complete *** resisting the mandates that established basic minimums of coverage for all. But wait, from what I see in the press, most of those resisting employers were people that didn't offer health insurance in the first place. So maybe your just a liar. (3) No one has, or is threating to, take your guns away. So your a lair twice.
So, does it strike anyone else as odd that Republican Congressional leaders are demanding steep cuts in Social Security and Medicare in exchange for an increase in the debt ceiling, but they're insisting that OBAMA make those cuts? Why don't they just introduce a bill and vote on it? After all, they control the House. Instead, the first bill they've introduced this session is one to repeal Obamacare, for the 34th time. Could it be that the GOP and their Tea Party loons are afraid of old people? Hmm. — DH Stone
A funny thing happened on the way top where we are. The President of the United States gave the Republican Party two huge cuts and the Republicans said no. Now we have Minority Leader McConnell saying there will be no deal on the debt or Sequestration with tax hikes at all. Last year during the debt ceiling debate President Obama and Speaker John Bahnoir were both ready to accept a $1 increase in taxes for every $4 in cuts. Bahnoir went back to his caucus and Eric Cantor, Bahnoir's number 2 man in the house and the Tea Party objected to the deal and Bahnoir came back with a no. Just recently the President placed Social Security and other items on the table that would have cut $1.6 Trillion in both revenue and cuts but lowered it to bring along some Republicans and settled on $1.2 off the debt and Republicans said no. The deal which was made with just $629 Billion raised will help trim the deficit. Republican leaders say they will not accept any tax hikes, but all crediable economist say we must elim ...
Roskam dives off fiscal cliff: rescued by the adults Sanity finally prevailed at 2:00 AM on January 2, as the US House passed the fiscal cliff agreement that saved tax cuts for the bottom 98% of taxpayers, saved Unemployment Benefits for the jobless, kept Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid intact, and thankfully, after 22 years, the wealthiest of the wealthiest will have to pay a bit more tax on ordinary income to shore up critical governmental services. But my Congressman, GOP House Deputy Whip Peter Roskam, not only voted to dive off the fiscal cliff, he defied the pleadings of this party boss, House Speaker John Boehner, to cast his cliff dive vote. I checked Roskam's website to see if he would explain his inexplicable vote, but his home page, instead of trumpeting a principled no vote, contained this headline: CONGRESSMAN ROSKAM'S JOB CREATION PLAN Click this old link and a you merely get a re-hash of Roskam's Tea Party platitudes of lowering tax rates for the wealthiest Americans and reducing cri ...
From Hank in NYC: Subject: To The Editor“Fury in G.O.P……….” – Front Page – January 3, 2013 The Republican Party is disintegrating before our eyes. The ultra right wing, or Tea Party element of the G.O.P. has made it virtually impossible for John Boehner, or any Speaker for that matter to control their caucus. The failure to even bring the Hurricane Sandy relief bill to the floor however, is inexcusable, and permanently etches Mr. Boehner’s record into history as the weakest, least compassionate Speaker in the last 50 years. The G.O.P. acts as though we did not have an election in November, and, like they don’t give a whit about the wishes of their constituents, especially those in dire need due to a horrific act of God. It is truly shameful that Mr. Boehner and his caucus want to cut Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, and don’t have the decency or compassion for the hundreds of thousands of their fellow Americans left in Sandy’s wake. It is a good thing that President Obama did ...
McConnell pushed Tea Party over financial cliff giving up Social Security demands and gleefully watched them crash by Cerberus
Don't let John Boehner and what's left of the Tea Party cut Social Security and Medicare. Stand Strong. Add your name here:
Tea Party News Tea Party Exposing the Truth, America’s Fraud President to Millions of American Households! Are you as mad as *** and you're not going to take it anymore? Then keep reading! The Problem: The Main Stream Media is corrosively silent on 'America's Fraud President' Barack Hussein Obama, many Patriots are asking, why? Listen up, the Tea Party doesn't care what the Lame Stream Media's pathetic excuse may be, we don't answer to them! They should be answering to us! Here's the kicker, the Tea Party is plowing forward with a bold and extreme plan to shake America and rattle the Washington cages! The Tea Party is calling Households across America with a dynamic telephone messages exposing 'America's Fraud President" to Grass- roots America. And we need your help to complete the mission. Bottom line is, the Blame Stream Media has consistently protected 'America's Fraud President' and buried Obama Frauds such as: Forged Birth certificate issued by the White House! Multiple Social Security numbers! S ...
"Martha McSally is no Gabby Giffords. Time and time again, she has refused to give a straight answer when asked directly about the most important issues facing Southern Arizona. When someone points out how she changed her position on an issue from August to October, McSally complains that politics isn't fair. But when she talks to the Tea Party, she toes their line, spouting their policies on everything from Health Care to women's rights and Social Security. ... Martha McSally may share Gabby's gender, but Ron Barber shares Gabby's values." ==Captain Mark Kelly==
I did it again! Fully 99 out of 100 messages in my email box have been and continue to be requests for dollars to support President Obama's reelection bid, Tammy Baldwin, Sherrod Brown, Elizabeth Warren and Ami Bera. I've given to all of them and despite my urge to sit on my hands and suppress additional contributions, I couldn't. I gave again with hopes of defeating the Big Money interests such as *** Armey's Tea Party and Carl Rove's Crossroads GPS. If each of us gives a little and dedicates our votes, our 99% just might be able to neutralize their 1% and prevent the grand privatization moves that the 1% deems appropriate to grow our economy, build a platform for jobs creation while stripping Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act from America. We must not let this happen. GIVE until it hurts to assure a future that builds on the good work of President Obama's first term.
Why do people think Republicans are the Conservative Party group? There just liberal and full of tyranny just as the democrat party! It's insane! Just one is red other is blue, Both won't fix the drug war at the Texas/Mexico border, send our troops home, fix the biggest ponzi scheme known as Medicare and Social Security, end the molesting done at American Airports, etc. Its time to wake up and realize that democrats & republicans both are just plain liberal and wrong, and I even consider Tea Party as a being a liberal group. Everyone needs to join up with a party that makes sense and that cares for everyone especially the peons aka Libertarian Party and Libertarian Party of Texas and vote for Gary Johnson for president! If you think Republicans/GOP is conservative comment and let me know I would really like to hear your thoughts.
Vote for Jessica Ehrlich for Congress District 13, Pinellas County, FL. C. W. Bill Young will never vote for funding supporting renewable green energy. He is a Koch Brother puppet and has always voted for subsidies to the Big Oil & King Coal to the tune of $14 Billion a year. The Koch Brothers receive our tax dollars to lie to the American people about everything from Social Security going bankrupt, women's right to birth control & Obamacare, minimum wage laws & many more Tea Party lies. For more info on the Koch Brothers watch the movie Koch Brothers Exposed on Current TV. Kick C W Bill Young, the Tea Party & their puppet masters the Kochs out of Washington D.C. End the illegal monopoly of oil & coal the has corrupted our democracy. Vote for Jessica Ehrlich to be a voice for our Freedom in to D.C.!
Republicans win our right to vote will be in jeopordy! You've already heard about most of the important issues in Missouri's U.S. Senate race, from taxes and budgets to Social Security and Medicare. Now comes the 17th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. U.S. Rep. Todd Akin, who hopes to unseat Claire Mccaskill in the U.S. Senate this fall, has said he hasn't taken a firm position on undoing the 17th Amendment (which would then require state legislatures to choose its U.S. senators), but "if I were to lean one way or the other it would be leaning going to back to repeal." The 17th Amendment, which was ratified in 1913, replaced the election of U.S. senators by state legislators with the current system, where senators are elected by a direct popular vote of a state's residents. The amendment's repeal has been an issue championed by some conservatives, especially the Tea Party. They say the amendment takes away a state's check over power in Washington. Comedian and satirist Stephen Colbert turned his attenti ...
Where is Indiana's moderate Senator Richard Lugar to vote for? Richard Mourdock confirmed last night that he is an extreme Tea Party zealot. He's said our social safety nets of Medicare and Social Security are unconstitutional. And now he thinks God intended the impregnation of women who are raped. What happened to compromise and reason - that's what we were taught in our civics class, right?

Per another FB friend of mine "What good is it to me to minimize taxes on my dividends and capital gains when I don't have any? Just because this is what is good for Mitt Romney and his cronies doesn't mean it works for the common person. You take away my major deductions, there is no tax savings for me. I will be in worse shape than I am now." Taking away the mortgage deduction will end that so-called American Dream for those in the Gen Y and younger. Seems the Republican Party has moved so far to the Right with the Tea Party that NO ONE will have any assistance getting ahead when buying a house or affording Health Care or retiring in the safety of Social Security and Medicare. I AM SO GLAD I GET IT - the Middle Class needs a wake-up call and stop dreaming they will win the lottery and be in the upper 1%!
The Tea Party has been awfully quiet lately, hiding in the shadows and shushing each other while Mitt tries to convince people that he is really a moderate. But if Mitt wins, the Tea Party will come charging out of the shadows in their black cloaks, whooping and roaring, with ready-made legislation to decimate Obamacare, health services for women, education, Head Start, Planned Parenthood, outlawing abortion, decimating Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security, cutting taxes even further for the wealthy and dumping more billions on the military, money that the military doesn't want or need. And all this horrific, devastating legislation will be signed into law by a smiling, chuckling Mitt. Ha, ha! Fooled ya! So all you folks who are being seduced by Romney's Siren song of moderation, take a long, hard look at what will happen if Mitt is elected. Clear your head and vote DEMOCRAT at ALL levels of government!
We've always known that Nebraskans have a clear choice in this campaign. I've taken the lead with detailed, accountable positions on issues from not invading Iran to preserving Social Security to working with Republicans to address the deficit. But the Omaha World Herald correctly notes that my opponent has not even produced any specifics to support her extreme and damaging "18 percent" spending cap. Now Nebraskans have another clear choice: one of character. Yesterday, we began running a new TV ad that tells the story of how Deb Fischer unsuccessfully sued her elderly neighbors in an effort to steal their land. Here's the thing: The easiest way to tell voters about the choice in this campaign is through ads. And ads cost money, but we don't have Tea Party billionaires backing us, like Fischer. So we've set a goal to raise $40,000 in grassroots contributions before our deadline tomorrow to air our new ad both on TV and online. Support from grassroots Americans has gotten me this far. Step up today and mak ...
Many of the ideas propounded in the 1980 campaign presaged the Tea Party movement. Ed Clark told The Nation that libertarians were getting ready to stage “a very big tea party,” because people were “sick to death” of taxes. The Libertarian Party platform called for the abolition of the F.B.I. and the C.I.A., as well as of federal regulatory agencies, such as the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Department of Energy. The Party wanted to end Social Security, minimum-wage laws, gun control, and all personal and corporate income taxes; it proposed the legalization of prostitution, recreational drugs, and suicide. Government should be reduced to only one function: the protection of individual rights. William F. Buckley, Jr., a more traditional conservative, called the movement “Anarcho-Totalitarianism.”
Robert, This is incredible. In Ohio, I just got word that dedicated progressive Senator Sherrod Brown has now been the subject of over $20 million in special interest attacks from Karl Rove, the Koch Brothers, anonymous Tea Party billionaires, and more. Sherrod has been one of progressives' biggest allies, not just when it comes to protecting working families, protecting Social Security and Medicare benefits, and protecting consumers from Wall Street -- but when it comes to fighting corporate special interest money itself and opposing Citizens United. We have to help protect him.
Darlene, Our opponent Tea Party Tom Smith just went on the air yesterday with another attack ad distorting Bob Casey’s record – and I can’t say I’m surprised. This November, Pennsylvanians will go to the polls and vote on the issues. And what does Smith bring to the table? A divisive Tea Party agenda that would end Medicare as we know it, privatize Social Security and cut taxes for the wealthy while raising the t...
Meet Tom Smith. Smith is a self-proclaimed "Tea Party Guy" who founded an ultra-conservative Tea Party organization right here in Pennsylvania. We all know about the Tea Party's brand of hyper-partisan, extreme politics and now one of Pennsylvania's leading Tea Partiers wants to defeat our senator, Bob Casey. Tom Smith's agenda is the same divisive Tea Party agenda that we've heard from others. Smith wants to dismantle Medicare and privatize Social Security, all while cutting taxes for the wealthiest Americans and leaving Pennsylvania's Middle Class families with a higher tax burden. Smith even bragged that he wants to provide reinforcements for the Tea Party caucus in Washington. Learn more about Tom Smith's radical Tea Party agenda at www.teapartytomsmith.com While Tom Smith would go to Washington to fight for the Tea Party, Bob Casey is fighting for us. Bob Casey has stood up for Pennsylvania families by fighting to create jobs, cutting taxes on the Middle Class, and protecting Medicare and Social Secu ...
Linda McMahon told a Tea Party forum earlier this year that she believes we should "sunset" Social Security, ... When pressed on her comments by reporters she doubled down and said we should also look into privatizing Medicare, possibly with a voucher system.
Linda McMahon, the former CEO of the World Wrestling Federation and current Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Connecticut, told a Tea Party gathering earlier this year that she would be open to a change in Social Security that would introduce a “sunset provision,” effectively attaching an expi...
I got a campaign EMAIL from Chris Murphy - Linda McMahon has been touring Connecticut talking to Tea Party forums about "sunsetting" Social Security and privatizing Medicare. And if she wins and joins a Republican controlled Senate, she just might get her wish. But we can stop her, right now. - I'd like to verify that she actually said this, but it sounds disturbing
Speaking before a group of Tea Party supporters in Waterford, Conn. on April 20, however, McMahon said she would consider making major changes to Social Security, from raising the retirement age to means-testing benefits. She also proposed introducing a "sunset provision"—the legislative term for pu...

In 2010, America got the Tea Party Congress. This year is the Tea Party Congress referendum. Less than six weeks from the election, we've built a serious voter contact machine to kick these extremists out of office — and we need your help to kick it into high gear. We just put together a short video to update you on the campaign, and show you a bit of what's going on in our awesome district field offices. Watch the video and chip in $5 to make sure we do everything we can to hold these Tea Partiers accountable. November 6th could be a huge accountability moment for Tea Party extremists. We have the best chance we've had in 10 years to defeat Steve King — one of the most open bigots in Congress. Michele Bachmann is in a competitive race for the first time in her career. Dan Lungren is struggling in his new district. Fighting to hold onto their jobs are Tea Party freshmen like Joe Walsh and Allen West, who pushed forward Congress' extreme attacks on Women, Social Security, and Medicare while saying some ...
Imagine what a Romney presidency would look like. The way he ran Bain Capital is probably a good clue, I'd say! Multiply that by a thousand, & I think that would be somewhere in the neighborhood. he would bankrupt the country, git Medicare, Social Security, education & Health Care while he & his wealthy backers buy up the remains, make tons of money, & stash it up in the Caymen Islands & Switzerland, begging for another tax break! You can bet his backers want payback! What happens to the rest of us? I'm really surprised that the Tea Party people can back such a plan because theft pensions & homes wouls suffer. Wouldn't that be a cruel joke? I am truly frightened to envision such a regime for America, ruled by power, money & greed! Isn't that what got us in this *** mess in the first place?
I just have to love my Tea Party friends. These are people who think the original Tea Party was actually protesting *taxes* - and ignore even the most obvious nuances, that it was taxation *without representation*. (Anyone think the Tea Party is unrepresented these days hasn't paid attention to the House. Or the Republican VP candidate. Or much of anything else.) They think government is always evil - as they demand that government keep its hands off their Medicare and cash their Social Security checks, and drive on government-financed roads and read papers that government-financed teachers taught them to decipher. They hate unions, without realizing that most of their parents fought hard for the right to organize, and that the whole idea of a pension was created by unions, fought for and bled for by them - and that Social Security is the only remaining large-scale version of that left in America. They scream for "free enterprise" and claim that it's being throttled by "government regulation" - as they sh ...
Tim Farmer did a little research and came up with the following about Franklin Delano Roosevelt: 1. Brought the country back from financial collapse. 2. Established and protected Social Security. 3. Worked toward ending a war. 4. FDR was completely opposed to everything Hitler stood for - the biggest threat to national security. Hitler died on April 30, 1945 by taking poison and then shootin g himself with a pistol. (corrected) 5. Wife was an advocate of the disadvantaged 6. Invested in jobs and the nation's infrastructure. 7. Spoke to the people not at them. 8. Strong advocate of the military and its soldiers and sailors. 9. Strong foreign policy record in the presence of tyrants. 10. Established and sustained regulation of Wall Street. 11. A champion of minority groups. 12. Ended discrimination in the military. Sound familiar? FDR is consistently considered one of the top three Presidents in history but the Tea Party consider him a dangerous Progressive much as they have maligned Obama. Nov. 24, 2008, T ...
This is a list of things that are on the Republican Party platform that the Tea Party insisted be adopted on the platform: " An audit of the Federal Reserve and a study on sound money were included in the platform. While the RNC platform doesn’t go far enough, it espouses limiting the farm subsidies currently part of federal policy. The platform supports some privatization of the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), as well as ending support for all bailouts of Wall Street. Supporting reformation of Medicare and Social Security, the greatest financial challenges facing the nation in coming decades. Tea Party-minded freshmen Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) and Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) gave prominent and well-received speeches, as did Senate candidate Ted Cruz. Looking beyond the platform inclusion, the pick by Romney of Paul Ryan for VP is a strong indicator that the GOP establishment is finally getting serious about reforming Social Security and Medicare." This is important to farm states. The Tea ...
The british Conservative Party seems almost as intent on dismantling its National Health Service as american Tea Party republicans are to bring an end to our Social Security and Medicare programs. I really think the people at the top, whether in the US or GB, looked down at the rest of us and determined that the cost of ensuring our well-being just wasn't worth the shared expense. Along that line of reasoning, we were, after all, put here to work for THEIR benefit, not to enjoy the fruits of our own labors in our "golden years." If it means throwing granny under the bus, so be it! She never should have lived so long past her productive years anyway.
Now this I will come rightout and support! Ben is my friend. One who has actually reached out and touched my own personal life. I am supporting this one!!! Here is a letter from Sen. Mikulski: Friend, In the last couple years, the attacks on progressive values have been relentless. Well, it's about to get worse here in Maryland. A conservative Super PAC that's spending millions across the country is officially targeting Ben. The group is supporting the Tea Party types who have pushed an agenda that's bad for the Middle Class. Fortunately, the Senate has been the firewall. On Health Care, on women's rights, on Medicare and Social Security -- it's where we've stopped them in their tracks. That's because of strong leaders like Ben. We can't afford to lose him. We've got to fight for Ben right now. His campaign needs $15,000 by midnight tomorrow to have the resources it needs for the final push. We have just 39 hours to make sure Ben has what he needs to win. Losing him isn't an option. Click here to give $5 ...
I love this comment from the Seattle Times in an article about Social Security. Thanks Gjd. "When my Tea Party associates start ranting about SS, I like to ask them how much money a month they are prepared to send to their parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts, great aunts, great uncles, etc. The room always gets very quiet. I and my employer pay a combined 15 or 16% on the first 110K of my income and with that, I don't feel guilty about not sending money to most of my elderly relatives because I know that they have a safety net. If you would like to live in a Latin American style playground where the rich live in a golden cage and where the poor dig in gigantic garbage piles on the outskirts of town to survive, I suggest you vote for Romney - Ryan. Or move to Mexico City." Note: Paul Ryan wants to privatize Social Security. We already have that in the form of 401K's. Oct. 2008: We saw our 401K investments fall by 50%. Been there. KEEP Social Security and Medicare in place pretty much as it is. And ...
"The selection of Rep. Paul Ryan as Romney's choice for Vice President makes it very clear that the Republican Party has completely caved in to the extreme right-wing Tea Party. Ryan, the author of the Republican House budget, would make devastating cuts in Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and education while giving even more tax breaks to millionaires and billionaires. His cuts to Veterans Benefits alone would be 11 Billion, which would cripple the VA. Our taxes would all increase. Instead of reducing our debt, the Ryan budget actually Increases our national debt.
Dear Democrat, Hiding tax returns, ending Medicare and conspiracies to abolish golf courses. That’s what Mitt Romney’s selection of Paul Ryan as a Vice Presidential nominee, along with Tea Party extremist Ted Cruz, means for the GOP ticket in Texas. It’s crazy cubed. And it’s frightening for Texas families and particularly for the Texas seniors who rely on Medicare. By tapping Ryan as the VP nom inee, Republicans have endorsed Ryan’s positions to end Medicare as we know it and destabilize Social Security. Two of Paul Ryan’s budgets would end Medicare’s guaranteed benefit, protect $40 billion in tax breaks for Big Oil, and provide people earning more than $1 million a year with an average tax cut of $265,000. Like it or not, Texas Republicans have a new running mate. And they’ll be forced to defend their running mate’s position of ending Medicare and weaken Social Security to Texas seniors. Help us defeat the Romney/Ryan/Cruz madness. Donate $10, $25, $50 or more to help us protect Medica ...
So Romney picked Ryan as running mate even though there's ZERO logical reason to have done so. Ryan doesn't bring a real swing state. He doesn't appeal to minorities. Doesn't appeal to moderates/independents. Doesn't appeal to women. In fact he actually alienates senior citizens with his attacks on Social Security and Medicare. *** he even supported Bush policies 94% of the time so that's a giant liability. Oh...but he is a huge favorite of the Koch Industries funded Tea Party. Which is also a massive contributor to Romney's campaign (mostly through Super PAC's). So, when someone makes a decision that seems baffling to most, always ask yourself WHO stands most to gain by this choice... It sure as *** wasn't Romney or the American people. This was a hand picked VP candidate by the Tea Party and the Koch Brothers.
These guys love saying "no": "Ryan opposes abortion in all situations, including cases of rape and incest, and opposes abortion in cases that endanger an expectant mother’s health. Planned Parenthood has also criticized his endorsement of a so-called 'Personhood Amendment,' which supports defining a fertilized egg as a human being. Ryan was a co-sponsor of the Sanctity of Human Life Act, which even the conservative state of Mississippi rejected last November, and is in favor of defunding Planned Parenthood. Ryan wants to dismantle Medicaid and repeal Obama’s Affordable Care Act...Romney’s selection of Ryan is expected to fire up the conservative base of the Republican Party. Ryan has become a Tea Party favorite for pushing a controversial budget and economic vision, marked by deep cutbacks to the social safety net coupled with lower tax rates. Over the years, Ryan has pushed for privatizing Social Security, dismantling Medicare and slashing funding for Medicaid. He has also proposed cutting food sta ...
It shows just how aggressive the Republicans are that they picked Tea Party favorite Ryan, author of the radical Republican budget plan that targets the poor and elderly with deep cuts to Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.
The Koch Brothers own the 2nd biggest privately owned businesses in the USA. They have bankrolled many campaigns of candidates and/or reform efforts to completely gut and/or render government agencies useless when it comes to enforcing things important to the masses of us like worker rights, the environment , public education, and Social Security to name a few. In fact look it up for yourself these two clowns have been wanting to totally do away with the Social Security program since the 1960s (not reform it, do away with it!) These are the type of people behind the far right that the Romney Ryan team represent. If you just look past the bull they tell you on conservative media everything they try or succeed in telling you is wrong with our country are things that you, your family, and friends benefit from like social security and rights for workers and those in poverty. Meanwhile these *** line up at the trough of Corporate Welfare to line their pockets up. They know exactly how to get you going usi ...
The Hypocrisy and Ultimate Failure of Ayn Rand and Paul Ryan Ayn Rand, like her hero worshiping Paul Ryan, was a hypocrite and enemy of American society. Like Paul Ryan, Ayn Rand was the ultimate hypocritical enemy of reasonable social compassion in America. She and her books denegrated persons that did not fight with vigor to succeed and to enrich themselves at the cost of others. At the end, her life of hatred toward the middle and lower class, toward Social Security and Medicare, came back to haunt her and make her the ultimate loser and fool, as I suspect the lives of Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan will evolve. Of the welfare state, the conservative philosopher and author Ayn Rand once wrote, "Morally and economically, the welfare state creates an ever accelerating downward pull." As it turns out, however, toward the end of her life, Rand ended up relying quite heavily on its help. According to the new book An Oral History of Ayn Rand, faced with lung cancer after a life spent smoking, and without the weal ...
Just as McCain bowed before the radical Tea Party and selected Sarah ‘Brain Dead’ Palin as running mate – Mitt the ‘Stiff’ succumbed to the same forces that ruined a once practical alternative by selecting Paul “End of Medicare, arts funding, Social Security, trillions of tax cuts for the 1% and a tax burden of the Middle Class and poor,’ Ryan. While John Kerry let the whack jobs on the far right rip him to shreds – Ryan and the ‘Stiff’ face one of the shrewdest political pugilist of our times – victory Obama - :23 round one!
Scissorhand Ryan wants to turn the country upside down. No increase in taxes for the rich but serious increases for the poor. Cuts in all social programs, Medicaid,( Social Security, Medicare becomes a cap and a voucher(dread disease, call the insurers. see Sicko) . Eliminate deficits at all cost . Paul Ryan is no self made man. He comes from a 3 generation construction family in Janesville that got rich off road building. He and his wife are worth at least $7 million, though he has never worked in the Private Sector. He is no intellectual, though he got a BA in economics. So what. Ryan was named chief brownnoser in high school which may explain his position as the guru of Tea Party and chairman of House budget comm. They like him in Janesville, His inspiration comes from reading Atlas Shrugged when he was 16. His Dad died in his teens so he never had anyone to contradict him. Too bad. He gives a good speech and is a confirmed demagogue. I counted at least ten lies in his short speech. He gave a buzz to M ...
Thrilled that Romney chose Ryan for his VP choice!!! Here's a man who wants to destroy Medicare and Social Security. He's little know around the country by voters, and those who do know him are not happy with his crazy ideas. The Right Wint and the Tea Party probably forced this choice on Mittens. Great choice! The guy who once drove the Oscar Meyer weinermobile!

Via - Daniel Baber "On September 18, 2008, Ryan attended a closed meeting with congressional leaders, then-Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson and Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke, and was urged to craft legislation to help financially troubled banks. That same day Ryan sold shares in various troubled banks and invested in Goldman Sachs.[32] In 2002, Ryan voted in favor of the Iraq War resolution, authorizing President George W. Bush to use military force in Iraq.[33] In 2003, Ryan voted in favor of the Medicare Part D prescription drug expansion.[34] In 2004 and 2005, after the reelection of Bush, Ryan pushed the Bush administration to propose the privatization of Social Security; Ryan's proposal was ultimately not fully supported by the Administration and it failed. After the next election, he was chosen as the ranking member of the House Budget Committee.[35] In 2008, Ryan voted for the Troubled Asset Relief Program, the Wall Street bailout that precipitated the Tea Party movement, and the bailout o ...
Paul Ryan was a risky pick aimed at the Tea Party base. The choice resembles John Mccain's selection of Sarah Palin in 2008. An older Romney is adding youth and energy to the campaign. However, at the same time, Romney's now associated with Ryan's European-style austerity plan that calls for deep cuts in social programs. Ryan may not help much in the Rust Belt where people tend to rely on Social Security and Medicare, programs that he wants to replace respectively with "private accounts" and vouchers.
August 11, 2012 by Ralph Zerbonia The selection of Congressman Paul Ryan, the Social Security killer from Republican Wisconsin, makes it perfectly clear that the Tea Party realizes that Romney is a...
Alan: "I just had ANOTHER conversation with a good friend who is thinking "Well, if Romney wins, he'll soften up on the key issues." Let's be straight with one another. With Romney as president, there will certainly be a Tea Party-leaning Senate in addition to a Tea Party-leaning House. Good-bye Social Security. Good-bye Medicare. Romney won't soften up one bit. Don't kid yourself. President Obama loses if Democrats don't vote, whether out of apathy--which the polls are showing, currently--or because of voter suppression, which the GOP is pushing very hard. Good-bye extra Unemployment Benefits, good-bye tax cuts for the Middle Class. Good-bye ACA. Good-bye Planned Parenthood. Good-bye legal abortions. Good bye legal birth control. Don't kid yourself. And this only scratches the surface. We haven't even started thinking about the things global corporations will want to extract. Natrual gas wells in everyone's back yards. Oil wells every 1,000 feet all along the Arctic Wilderness. And wars never-ending with ...

“The outcome proves…..” by William T. Newton If it’s Sunday, it’s time to meet the depressed….. Let me just throw this out there…..I don’t like Ted Cruz. He’s like a reality show character that doesn’t have the “it” factor and probably can’t sing or dance either, but remains the favorite of the judges because it gets viewers. Prediction: Crash & Burn because he offers nothing new and is out of his league with his sound-bites and simple keyword use to incite the boomers who ‘cling to their Social Security checks and Medicare’. This comes with an empty “Scott Brown” suit – C’mon Tea Party – is this, the best you can do? Texas could’a plucked someone off the ranch who could speak better for Texans and the American people. Cruz sounds like Lois in a recent Family Guy episode when she was running for Mayor against Adam West. She discovered the people would support her and all she had to do was yell “911” as the response to every question. This kind of campaign is s ...
I ran across the following article online this weekend. It looks like some folks think the real race for Congressional representation for the Texas 36th district is the runoff on the 31st. Stephen Takach will have spent over $500,000.00, by the end of the month. This is a guy who took six years to get a business administration degree from Lamar and then only worked two years in the accounting department of an energy industry company before becoming the investment portal for the Baytown energy elite. The other choice is Steve Stockman, the original "Tea Party" Congressman. If we who know better, set around and spend our time blogging amongst ourselves and finding fault with our own candidate, we'll wake up on November 7th with one of these bozos going to Washington to stand behind John Boehner and Eric Cantor to take away so much money from southeast Texas through safety net, Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid cuts, it will set you back decades. What we need in the Texas 36th district is signs directing ...
Social entitlement programs such as Social Security, Medicare, food stamps and unemployment insurance make up 35 percent of wages and salaries this year, according to reports from the Bureau of Economic Analysis. Tight Economic Times are prompting lawmakers to look at social programs and safety nets as potential areas to trim. Democrats have traditionally worked to preserve entitlements, but Republicans and some Tea Party members have seen entitlements as too costly. LET'S MAKE SURE WE ARE REGISTER TO VOTE. LETS MAKE OUR VOTES COUNT.
The Tea Party's main financial supporters are the right wing multi-billionaire Koch Brothers. If you believe that these multi-billionaires financially back the the Tea Party to help working and Middle Class people, then you are truly naive. Republicans want to cut Social Security and make Medicare a voucher plan. it is estimated that the voucher plan alone would cost the average senior an additional $6000 per year. The average senior's income is about $12000. At the same time, Republicans want to give another 20% tax cut to millionaires and billionaires. So, you working and middleclass Tea Party supporters want to cut your retirement standard of living in half, so that the multi-billionaire Koch Brothers can get a 20% income tax cut. Incredible!
Mass Occupy/Brookline is proud to present a free showing of Koch Brothers Exposed (the 1% at its worst), a new documentary by Robert Greenwald. It will be shown at the Coolidge Corner Branch of the Brookline Public Library on Thursday, July 19. Doors open at 6:30 PM for refreshments followed by the film screening at 7 PM. This film chronicles the donations made by David and Charles Koch of Koch Industries, the second largest privately held business in the U.S. Through an inheritance of many billions of dollars, they are able to help fund such organizations as the libertarian Cato Institute, Americans for Prosperity (an organization for the already prosperous), ALEC and the Tea Party among others. In an effort to advance their agenda, they provide generous financial support to organizations that work to weaken or repeal environmental protections (to the great benefit of their polluting coal and oil industry), privatize Social Security, raise the retirement age, re-segregate schools in North Carolina an ...
Rep. Allen West (R-Fla.) sought to do damage control on Monday after sparking controversy with remarks he made over the weekend. "Liberal media reports saying I am equating Social Security of hardworking Americans to a form of slavery is absolutely false," the Tea Party-backed freshman wrote on Face...
's: many of you r planning to stay home on the primary next Tues. U R still cowering in the corner licking your wounds from the 2010 election where most of us said "we didn't vote 4 a single person who won. Tues., there r 2 fine men running on our ticket against Frank Lucas, either of which would stand up and represent us. I will be voting for Tim Murray even tho his opponent is also a fine man because I feel he has the best chance of being on the ballot in Nov. We have cowered long enough & it is time to realize if we don't even bother to vote, the time may come when the Tea Party will totally rule our nation, to the tune of "Let them eat cake." Ours is the party who brought Civil Rights, Medicare and Social Security, which is the only thing many r still eke-ing by with. Be proud and vote.
The behind-the-scenes DETAILED list I'd lost from my link-files, was looking for this HARD, for a 'Long' time. Makes the other lists look bad. No one wins any arguments without a complete review of the record, AND comparison with past Presidents, degrees of difficulty, wars, depressions etc. (Bill Clinton included). Blocked votes, (and far worse after Tea Party elected)! No talk of killing Medicare, tripling tuition, killing Social Security, until them, Citizens United decision, & our sitting down. TV scrambled eggs for brains. 'IF' we who sat down, stood Up NOW, IMAGINE! The truth of the system can't go back into the box, it MUST be shared on all levels to lead humanity in fearless non-violent AND violent revolt.
That was the whole idea behind Obama's job program that the Tea Party and Republicans voted against. So be careful what you ask and who you vote for come November. One person wants to put you back to work and the other party wants to privatize your Social Security and Healthcare. We know how well they have done with the housing situation. So ask yourself, are you willing to have the same crooks in charge of your Social Security and healthcare?
What I'll be reviewing before the House reconvenes next week, very happy the Tea Party budget is gradually easing gridlock as we focus on job creation this summer: Making appropriations for the Legislative Branch for the Fiscal Year ending September 30, 2013, and for other purposes. H.R. 5882 Care Cost Reduction Act of 2012’’ TEXT OF H.R. 436, 4282 - International Child Support Recovery Improvement Act of 2012 I hope this measures up to the proposed Family Welfare Reform legislation we composed already: Social Security Entitlement Restrictions and Structural Reform Act of 2012 (Family Welfare, Family as the governing unit of Society in relation to government subsidies) CARE REFORM RESIGNATION AND ENTITLEMENT REFORM APPROPRIATION ACT OF 2012, effective 1/1/12: Skeleton Budget Implementation Act of 2011-2012" IMMEDIATELY: The State Welfare and Child Support Enforcement Comprehensive Reform Act of 2011-2012

Tea Party supporter, conservative preacher Jesse Lee Peterson, and regular guest on Fox TV's Sean Hannity, says that women should never have been given the vote (and more). Ladies? Extremist Richard Mourdock believes that bipartisanship is only okay IF a few of the Democrats come along with the Republicans and of course GM would be gone (among others) and thousands of American jobs would be lost if he had it his way. Baby Boomers, a vote for Mourdock was a vote to just stamp "Return to Sender" on your Social Security checks. Good heaven's does anyone Google the truth rather than believing the spin before they vote? Now you all know that I'm "fairly" liberal but at least Richard Lugar had some common sense. There's no common sense in the ideology that everyone plays by one side's rules, no compromise. I think that's called a dictatorship not a democracy.
May 3rd – “The Life of Julia” is a new Obama campaign piece with a simple premise. An American woman today is simply helpless without O and the federal government. It maintains poor Julia couldn’t survive without Head Start, student loans, Obamacare & The Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act. It also assumes untouched Medicare & Social Security programs will still be around when Julia retires. A Tea Party version might look like this. “The Life of Jenny." Jenny is home schooled, works her way through a college she can afford, grows her Health Savings Account while fighting to repeal Obamacare, sets her own salary after starting a small business and builds a sizable retirement nest egg, never relying on Social Security. Jenny then tells a bankrupt Julia to go take a hike! P
What this comes down to is, you don't have to like or agree with my political views. This is to show you that the information is out there for all to see if you just go look for it and become more well informed and not be just another "Authoritarian Follower". Think for yourselves, look at what is going on around you and in the nation. Union busting laws by the GOP controlled state governments, the fight for women's reproductive right to choose, even though I am pro-life it's not my body and I would never let any government pass laws that restrict a woman's rights to decide what's best for her and her family if I could stop it. Would you want to be forced to have a baby that was conceived by rape or incest? The GOP law makers are passing laws right now that would force you to. In some states if they have their way and pass their laws you could be investigated for infanticide if you have a miscarriage or fail to conceive. The GOP and the Tea Party don't want the insurance companies to pay for womens ...

October 31, 2011 11:00 AM Rich Eskow: It's Time To Accept The Fact That The Post Is No Longer A Reputable Newspaper The Washington Post ran a startling story on their Front Page yesterday that would scare the crap out of most people -- if you didn't already understand how Social Security actually works, and that the Village elites will say just about anything to destroy it under the guise of "saving" it. Rich Eskow did a great job pulling it apart in this scathing HuffPost piece (you should go read it all): If we had the space we'd deconstruct the entire piece. Instead we'll use a selected sample, beginning with the first line: " Last year, as a debate over the runaway national debt gathered steam in Washington, Social Security passed a treacherous milestone. It went "cash negative." Holy cow, that's a lot of deception in one sentence. First, the sentence conflates the national debt with Social Security. But Social Security is expressly forbidden by law from contributing to the debt! It must be entirely s ...
