Testimonial. “We joined LOTTO MAGIC in November 2001. By August 2002, our monthly check was more than our combined Social Security retirement checks! The folks at LOTTO MAGIC can be depended upon to get your commission checks out on time, and that’s important to someone who is retired. We love LOTTO MAGIC!” Gene and Elaine C, MO www.22s.com/prolottoplayers "Go out on a limb. That’s where the fruit is." Jimmy Carter
Got this via email... Examiner.com History Lesson on Your Social Security Card Just in case some of you young whippersnappers (& some older ones) didn't know this. It's easy to check out, if you don't believe it. Be sure and show it to your family and friends. They need a little history lesson on what's what and it doesn't matter whether you are Democrat or Republican. Facts are Facts. Social Security Cards up until the 1980s expressly stated the number and card were not to be used for identification purposes. Since nearly everyone in the United States now has a number, it became convenient to use it anyway and the message, NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION, was removed. An old Social Security card with the "NOT FOR IDENTIFICATION" message. Our Social Security Franklin Roosevelt, a Democrat, introduced the Social Security (FICA) Program. He promised: 1.) That participation in the Program would be Completely voluntary, No longer Voluntary 2.) That the participants would only have to pay 1% of the first $1,400 of thei ...
"As Republicans push for new voting restrictions around the country, a handful of Democrats have coalesced around an impromptu idea: placing a photo on Social Security cards. . . Former presidents Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter endorsed the idea, while the White House declined to comment" [Note (1)] "A new Obama Administration immigration policy that was announced without a single vote of approval from Congress provides a path to Social Security benefits based on illegal work. Although the policy does not grant legal status, the young illegal immigrants affected may apply for and receive work permits, giving them access to Social Security numbers. . . Currently citizenship is not a requirement to claim Social Security benefits. . . Although the public commonly believes that illegal workers don’t pay taxes and thus don’t pay into Social Security, that’s a misconception. Illegal immigrants get jobs using fraudulently obtained or invalid Social Security numbers that employers use to withhold payroll tax ...

A: It was Lyndon Johnson and the Democratically controlled House and Senate. - - - Q: Which Political Party eliminated the income tax deduction for Social Security (FICA) withholding? (AND MY FAVORITE): A: That's right! Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party. Immigrants moved into this country, and at age 65, began to receive Social Security payments! I have noticed many complaining about our Social Security benefits being taken to provide for illegal settlers in the U.S. Giving U.S. taxpayers monies to foreign countries to support those that need help has been going on since Jimmy Carter was in… [ 862 more words. ]
Social Security, Civil Rights, Medicare, aid to education...came with the support and leadership of American Labor - Jimmy Carter
Right on Frederick. Just saying the Democratic Party voted 100% for slavery, next Woodrow Wilson democrat - created segregation, Johnson democrat stole our SSN, Jimmy Carter and the Democratic Party began giving illegal immigrants Social Security payments at 65yrs old, and taxing SSN Clinton democrat. What the *** is wrong with people. Freedom does not and will not ever begin with a democrat!
"Every advance in this half-century: Social Security, Civil Rights, Medicare, etc.came with the support of American Labor." Jimmy Carter
Something to think about , Lyndon B Johnson and Jimmy Carter were the two Presidents that started to raid Social Security to pay for Big Govenment projects. So all of you older liberals, I hope your happy about the thiefs that ruined your reitrement supllement. Hope your happy, now Obama, your buddy is going to put the shovel over the rest, I hope you remember that when the checks quit comming in the mailbox.
Obtaining a Social Security number for a child is voluntary.Further, there is no general legal requirement that individuals join the Social Security program (although, under normal circumstances, FICA taxes must be collected anyway). Although the Social Security Act itself does not require a per...
If you have an income of $250,000 or more you should vote for Mitt Romney. If you make less than $250,000 per year, you are a *** fool to vote for Mitt Romney. Before the stock market crash of 1929, the GOP Big Three of Harding-Coolidge-Hoover made “business” the “business of America”, once more allowing profiteers to flourish at the expense of the vulnerable. Enter Franklin Roosevelt, a polio victim confined to a wheel chair and leg braces which he could only stand in. His alphabet soup of New Deal programs-the CCC and TVA and WPA- brought hope to the financially distraught, making them believe that the government was on their side. Credit him with Social Security (1935), legislation to protect workers, right to collective bargaining, Wall Street regulation, rural electrification projects, farm price supports, unemployment compensation, and federally guaranteed bank deposits. The America we know and love today sprung directly from the New Deal. Every president from FDR to Jimmy Carter, reg ...
From: Lloyd Alan Fradkin - After the first Presidential Debate I heard MSNBC’s Ed Shultz go ballistic, because President Obama didn’t take advantage of the “47percent” comment from Mitt and seemed to say he agreed with Mitt on Social Security. On Fox I heard Sean Hannity praise Mitt’s performance as brilliant. However in the light of day this morning they both got it wrong letting their emotions, like many, dictate what they saw which was not the same Debate as my wife and I. Ronald Reagan made the famous comment to Jimmy Carter: “There you go again” and last night that comment best described Willard Mitt Romney. He has gone RETRO and reinvented himself once more as the MODERATE Governor of Massachusetts a fact that should send concern to the GOP base as much as Independents and the Administration. Here are five examples: 1. Romney completely dumped Paul Ryan’s “Path to Prosperity” last night even changing his position from the DAY BEFORE on Tax Cuts. Multiple times the NEW ROMNEY said ...
Jimmy Carter 1977-1981 39th President Carter worked hard to combat the continuing economic woes of inflation and unemployment. By the end of his administration, he could claim an increase of nearly eight million jobs and a decrease in the budget deficit, measured in percentage of the Gross National Product. He dealt with the energy shortage by establishing a national energy policy. He prompted Government efficiency through civil service reform. He sought to improve the environment. His expansion of the national park system included protection of 103 million acres of Alaskan lands. To increase human and social services, he created the Department of Education, bolstered the Social Security system.
A pretty good analysis of Social Security and other gov't programs...
Did you know?? President Lyndon B. Johnson (D) (1963-69), took the Social Security out of its TRUST FUND, where it was safe from Congress, and placed it in the General Operating Fund, where its been raided time and again by CONGRESS. He and the democrat controlled Congress also removed the tax exempt status of payments into Social Security. Pres Jimmy Carter(D)(1977-81) signed a bill passed by the democrats, into law that gave immigrants 65 yrs old, Social Security retirement even if they had not paid a dime into it. Pres. Bill Clinton(D) (1981-89) signed the bill into law that TAXED Social Security retirement payments to the elderly. It was VP Al Gore that CAST the deciding vote in the Senate to pass the law taxing Social Security as it was a 50-50 tie. Most of the democrats voting to tax Social Security and ALL the republicans voting against taxing it. Now you know a little more than you did..
Here's a question for ya. How many (and what) social programs that help the middle class and the poor have been instigated under the Republican Party? That question jumped into my head this morning and I had to research just a few. Unemployment Insurance - first state to have it, Wisconsin, under Gov. Schmedeman (D) in 1932, Federal, under President Roosevelt in 1935. Social Security - started under President Roosevelt (D) also in 1935 (Included Child Welfare Act). Food Stamps - began as SNAP in 1933 under President Roosevelt (D) and expanded as Food Stamps in 1939, also under Roosevelt. Medicare and Medicaid - in 1965 under President Lyndon Johnson (D). FEMA - established under President Jimmy Carter in 1979. Well, the answer to my question? I haven't found any.
I am 74 years old and a retired forester. I made a decent living, but I do not qualify as rich. I am, as my family has been for generations, middle class. I depend on Social Security, Medicare, and a little bit of savings. My savings were more before my mutual funds tanked. I used to be a Republican, but I can see no evidence that the Republican Party cares about me. I believe in the separation of Church and State, *** Rights, and Woman's Rights. I think that the Republican Party is the party of the rich and the large corporations. I have only voted for a Democrat President twice, JFK and my Native Son, Jimmy Carter. But I am going to make that three times this year. I do not see how any thinking middle class family can vote for Romney/ Paul.
Okay people, I'm going to *** a lot of you off. But this is one time I don't really give a rats *** All I want to know is , how long are peoples memory is? I got a Post from a friend, and it blames Obama and Jimmy Carter for the loss of jobs and the economy. Well I believe in truth and reality! The way I remember things is when Bill Clinton left office, we had a surplus. And I had money in the bank! Two month after George Bush and *** Chaney took office, The stock market crashed. The economy was booming. Then George And *** got the whole world, not just this country of small minds to believe Saddam had wepons of mass destruction. And everyone forgets on national TV George Bush said After all he tried to kill my daddy. Does anyone remember that? I doubt it because most Republicans have short memories! And things got so bad, that the Gov couldn't give cost of living raises for Social Security. But they did find enough money to give themselves a big *** raise! Dems. couldn't stop it, just like they can' .. ...
I get very angry when I see anyone use the word "entitlement" to describe a Federal program that I was forced to paying into back when I didn't have 2 nickels to rub together, but am now reaping the benefits of. Granted, the system (Social Security) is broken, so fix it. It wasn't broken by those paying into it but by presidents and other political types that changed the payouts but never changed the "payintos". In my working lifetime like most of you, I have seen the ceiling for SS deductions raised and have seen the percentage of withholding from my paycheck raised also. But the plan was designed to supplement income for retirement (Good). Later, because at the time most women didn't work outside the household and depended on their husbands retirement, were allowed to collect his SS when he died (Good). If there were children, they too would receive support till they were out of school (Good). If the woman remarried but the new husband didn't adopt the children, the children would continue to collect th ...
Quick question? Who is the most famous person that you have met? And what was your interaction with them. (I once made Perry Como eat his seat, but that is another story.) My most famous person was probably Jimmy Carter, running for President, who stopped at Lake Sumter Community College. He gave a speech, and afterwards shook hands with everyone that was there. As he was shaking my hand the newspaper editor asked, "Governor Carter, if elected, how will you keep Social Security from going bankrupt"? He kept shaking my hand, and I saw his eyes get weak, I mean OBAMA weak, and shrink within himself as if he didn't want anyone to know that he had no clue what he was doing. I saw his eyes get stronger, and the strength come back (at least as strong as Jimmy Carter, the man terrorized of Killer Bunnies could get) and respond, "If elected, I will appoint a commission to study that issue." I was terrified of the possibility of this weak man becoming President, and my terror was confirmed when the weakest ...
Retiring soon? You probably paid more in taxes than you will get in Social Security benefits

Hmm as we have seen that last three years under the leadership of Mr. Obama have been a complete failure. We have seen recording setting spending we have seen an economy that hasn't imporved and we also have a President who is making our military week and trying to associate with our allies. My fellow American I stand here before you today to tell you this November one word needs to be remembered as we rebuild America and that is enough. We need to get up, stand up and as a country never never give up. Ronald Reagan was a president who came along after Jimmy Carter tried to destroy everything this great country is about now of course we must put our faith in God for he is the one who is running our country but this election we must say we had enough and focus on more jobs, less spending and smaller government. I believe in the future of this country who will stand with Mitt and make this country great again RECLAIM AMERICA ROMNEY 2012. Im Tom Abruscato and I approve this message
A Case for dismantling the Department of Education. We invented the radio, television, nuclear power plants, and landed the first man on the moon in 1969. What do these major events all have in common? They were all accomplished long before the establishment of the Department Of Education in 1980. This money wasting, power grabbing nightmare was signed onto by (you guessed it) Jimmy Carter in late 1979. Our education system was second to none until the government decided to take charge. As with Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and the Post office; Uncle Sugar has driven our education system into the ditch. The final nail on the coffin was the 3-way wedding between the Department of Education, big unions, and corrupt politicians. A 3- way almost always insures that someone is going to get screwed. In this case, it is we the taxpayer and the students! The good news is, teachers now draw a reasonable if not very good salary and benefits. A documentary I viewed recently stated that teachers now earn about ...
