"We know the truth: that what is inside the womb of a mother is human life. It's a person. We’ve generally won that argument over time, assisted by science. At the same time, I'm just sick to my stomach that we've come to this point -- 53 million abortions after Roe v. Wade -- we're at this point. Finally, some people are starting to ask the question, 'Well, if you can cut an unborn child's head off in the womb … why can't you do it a foot outside the womb?' It's a sad, sick world and it's a sad day. There is some justice there but it's small justice compared to the holocaust of 53 million.'' -- LCMS President Harrison reacting on an Issues, Etc., radio interview Monday about abortion doctor Kermit Gosnell's murder conviction. 11:11 Awakening Code “THANKFUL THURSDAY” Reminder and 4th Chakra Activation: We’ve all heard how important it is to maintain an “attitude of gratitude,” but this is not as easy as one might think – It takes practice! So with that in mind, start small… be grateful that you’re still breathing. Expanding your attention outwards, be aware of your existence in the grand scheme of life here on Earth and what an honor and privilege it is to participate in the unfolding story of us. Be grateful for your senses, your gifts and your talents. Moving outward, be grateful for the people in your life and the lessons you have learned from them, even if the only lesson was defining what type of person you don’t want to be! Expanding ever outward, be grateful for the fact that this planet is filled with far more goodness and light than evil and darkness. For every murder there are millions of acts of kindness. For every plane crash hundreds of thousands of planes fly safely. For every angry person you me ...

The British left abloodily vivisected India 67 years ago, and, from the Punjab to Calcutta, thecountry is now struggling with its modern lot: cell phones, MTV, nuclearweapons, and a 250-million-strong middle class. Weshall not order them as efficaciously as you do, my God, no, but then efficacyis not important to us, you understand. . . .” “It’s your fault. You will insist on the British leaving.” “Partly because we do not like being spoken to in that tone ofvoice.” —Simon Raven, Sound the Retreat. One can half appreciatethe annoyance of the British officer cadets in Raven’s novel. Having beentrained to rule India, and sent all the way out there, they find thatindependence is coming and that it’s closing time in the playgrounds of theWest. Here are some helpful tips when you’re in the job-hunting mode: 1. Face this challenge with a positive attitude. Claim the promise of Philippians 4:13: “I can do everything through him who gives me strength.” Start each day with this purpose and attitude: I have a job today, and that job is to do everything I can to find a job. Don’t allow yourself to get into negative thought patterns. Make it a matter of daily prayer that God will guard your mind against negative thinking and empower you to keep those thoughts true, noble, right, pure, lovely and admirable, as Philippians 4:8 admonishes us to do. 2. Remember that God is still sovereign, in the world and in your life. He is not caught by surprise at what has happened to you, and he has a plan to turn this experience into good for you. 3. Establish a daily routine and discipline. Get up early Spend an hour each morning in communion with the Lord Exercise each day for at least half an hour 4. Designate several hours a day for t ...

Captains Log: Day 17 5/15/2013 (payday!) The day begins with us saying goodbye to Steve and Bellevue University and heading to the VA Hospital in Des Moines. With Stan at the helm of the Cart we crossed into the great State of Iowa. The back roads along the way had shoulders made with loose gravel, an enemy of the Cart and Smart car. We finally made it to a town called Treynor. A small community that also had an American Legion next to the road. We took a break and found two Vets inside having Coffee. Their meeting place was huge! with a rec hall big enough to fit 300 which would host weddings and other social events. Down the block we met Laverne, the towns barber, which he has been cutting hair for over 5 decades. When you walk into these barber shops its like time has stop since 1960 and had older razors and hair cutting equipment displayed like a museum. I needed a haircut and stopped to chat with Laverne. He had 10 chairs in this small shop and i asked if he got that man ...

NEW YORK, 15 May 2013 - The United Nations today issued a stark warning to the world's business community that economic losses linked to disasters are "out of control" and will continue to escalate unless disaster risk management becomes a core part of business investment strategies. UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, said: "We have carried out a thorough review of disaster losses at national level and it is clear that direct losses from floods, earthquakes and drought have been under-estimated by at least 50%. So far this century, direct losses from disasters are in the range of $2.5 trillion. "Economic losses from disasters are out of control and can only be reduced in partnership with the private sector which is responsible for 70% to 85% of all investment worldwide in new buildings, industry and small to medium sized enterprises. The principles of disaster risk reduction must be taught at business schools and become part of the investor's mind-set." The UN Secretary-General was speakin ...

All praises to THE MOST HIGH YAHWEH ...AHAYAH ASHER AHAYAH (i am that i am) and his son OUR SAVIOR YAHSHUA ... ISAIAH 3:12 It states: AS FOR MY PEOPLE, CHILDREN ARE THEIR OPPRESSORS, AND WOMEN RULE OVER THEM, O MY PEOPLE THEY WHICH LEAD YOU CAUSE YOU TO ERR, AND DESTROY THE WAY OF YOUR PATHS. In our community, children as young as 12 and 13 are helping to oppress us. Many of these children are misguided and involved in street gangs, they carry guns and use them on other Hebrews. And because of this, they have our community terrified of them. These young children run the community, they have the residents afraid of them, the preachers are afraid of them, and even to some extent the police are afraid of them. This scripture also says women will rule over us. The Hebrew female has been place above the Hebrew male for as long as we have been here. The Hebrew female income has surpassed Hebrew males (its been this way since 1954). There are twice as many Hebrew Women in college than there are Hebrew males. S ...

David Kenison Classic thought for Thursday 5/16/13 - Thomas S. Monson on the blessings of temple service: "Now, my brothers and sisters, we have built temples throughout the world and will continue to do so. To you who are worthy and able to attend the temple, I would admonish you to go often. The temple is a place where we can find peace. There we receive a renewed dedication to the gospel and a strengthened resolve to keep the commandments. "What a privilege it is to be able to go to the temple, where we may experience the sanctifying influence of the Spirit of the Lord. Great service is given when we perform vicarious ordinances for those who have gone beyond the veil. In many cases we do not know those for whom we perform the work. We expect no thanks, nor do we have the assurance that they will accept that which we offer. However, we serve, and in that process we attain that which comes of no other effort: we literally become saviors on Mount Zion. As our Savior gave His life as a vicarious sacrifice ...

The Value of “Youth” to the Cause of God BY Bro. TemiTope Adeaga (member of Youth Executive (C.A.C.) Athens, Greece. Which is the most difficult era of human life? Infancy? Adolescence? Mature adulthood? Agedness? It probably depends upon where you are as to how you might answer that query. While many might suggest that one’s “sunset” years are the hardest, my own judgment would be that the period designated as “youth” might be the most challenging. Youth is a frustrating time in life. It is that period when one is hardly old enough to be “on his own,” and yet he is feeling a sense of independence. Youth ever are attempting to find some sense of identity; that is why they sometimes act and dress so weird. They are bizarre! But then, so were we. The Scriptures represent “youth” as a time both of danger and challenge. Moses said that “the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth” (Gen. 8:21), and Paul admonished Timothy to “flee youthful lusts” (2 Tim. 2: ...
by Rick Warren “I am leaving you with a gift — peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” (John 14:27 NLT) Everybody thinks they have the key to peace of mind — or at least they want you to think so, so you’ll buy their product. I saw an ad for a perfume the other day called “Peace” perfume. The ad promised, “Wear it to feel serenity.” Now, folks, if it were that easy, it would be great — just put on a little perfume, and you’ll have peace of mind. Peace of mind is such an important concept in life that people will do almost anything to find it. They will travel to exotic places at great expense. They will sniff a brain-destroying drug up their nose. They will experiment with New Age rituals. They will try all kinds of things. But the truth is, very few people in this world are at peace with themselves. Most people carry a high degree of stress, anxiety, or tension in their lives. As a pasto ...

We often speak of consciousness. We often acknowledge you for your expanded consciousness or your awakened consciousness. Yet we ask you what consciousness is? Consciousness is a fascinating but elusive phenomenon. Your philosophers, scholars and now neuroscience pioneers have tried to explain and comprehend the nature of consciousness and pin down its essential properties. Let us offer a possibility for your consideration. It is the energetic connection within all living things. It is the field of energy that expands beyond your physical body. Your sciences are beginning to understand that an infant, even befor ...

The Jerusalem Prayer List – May 16th, 2013By Joseph Shulam Yesterday was the day of Pentecost. The Jewish tradition in the day of Pentecost is to eat cheeses and good food and bring some kind of first fruit. In the Israeli Kibbutzim the celebration is big with music and dancing and baskets of fruit and vegetables are brought and dedicated. One of the customs in Pentecost is an all-night study of Torah and the Word of God in general. We have had a nice celebration every year since the 1970’s. This year it was a bit shorter than most years because of the little children. We have several families with toddlers and some with very young babies so we kept the celebration to three hours. We also have every year a cheese cake competition and this year there were five competitors. The prize was a very nice toaster and the sister who won the prize made a cheese cake with apricots from her own garden. There were two lessons presented about Pentecost one by a young leader and the other by me. ...

This video will help you understand and use many of the great scientific tools available on the internet to keep you informed about our sun. In 1859 a sun flare did major damage to telegraph network in America but there was no other electric systems to be damage. Today, we (the whole world) is dependent on electricity for everything and a flare the size of the one in 1859 hits earth today, we would be without electricity for days, weeks, months or maybe years. Cars would not run, water pumping stations would not be working and you would not have running water in your home. Stores would be without food in a matter of days. Flares CME’s this size hits earth once in about 300 years and it has been 150 years from the last one. We have about ...
by DAVID ROSS, CEO & Editor at Britain Express - In the churchyard of St Mary's church in the little Cumbrian village of Gosforth stands on of the real treasures of pre-Conquest England. This is the so-called Gosforth Cross, a slender column of local red sandstone carved into a Scandinavian cross fully 14.5 feet high. The cross was probably crafted in the late 10th or early 11th century, although some estimates place the date as far back as the 7th century. The shaft is peculiar in that it starts out round at the base and rises up to a square top surmounted by a small cross head. The cross is carved with a mixture of pagan and Christian images, leading most authorities to suggest that it was carved to show the triumph of Christianity over paganism. The cross is carved in a style called 'Gaut's interlace', a reference to Gaut's Cross on tyhe Isle of Man. The lower section is carved with a Norse Tree of Life, with the branches of tree creating a gorgeous interlaced pattern. The upper section of the cr ...

God Is Always at Work Around Us II Kings 6:14-18 (PP) Jesus said, Jn 5:17, 19-20 (PP) 17 "My Father is working until now, and I Myself am working …. Truly, truly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, unless it is something He sees the Father doing; for whatever the Father does, these things the Son also does in like manner. 20 For the Father loves the Son, and shows Him all things that He Himself is doing; and greater works than these will He show Him, that you may marvel." NASB The Father has been working since before creation. Jesus began His visible work in His incarnate ministry on earth. The statements of these verses tell us that God is at work. God is at work all around us. Jesus watched and watches the Father work and then copied and copies His example. We are to watch them and copy their example. We are to observe the Father working around us and to join Him in what He is doing. Read Text: II Kings 6:14-18 (PP) 2 Ki 6:14-18 14 And he sent horses and chariots and a great army there, ...

AN EXCERPT FROM MY LATEST BLOG. ALSO THE CENTRAL POINT IN MY LATEST PRESENTATION ON HOLISTIC BRANDING. The world is suffering from a lack of leadership. Those rare left brain/right brain hybrids who see the big picture as well as the parts. Those with enough humanity to intuitively understand human nature. Those with the analytical skills to deconstruct and reconstruct the world to make it, in a big or small way, a better place. Those with the ability to win support. Not because they present a watered down middle of the road point of view that can’t be rejected but can be ignored. But because they present a point of view that can’t be ignored.
It was said a long time ago by writers and prophets. If only society could embrace it. We live in a big world with a lot of good, caring people. It is amazing how we are held hostage by just a small few. They have made us afraid of our neighbors, teachers, police officers, etc. We are afraid to be the good samaritans because of them, in contrast to what we have been taught. Let us focus on all the good that is done and less on the mentally disturbed. Paying it forward has its Godly reward.

came, you saw, you conquered as a woman of your word. so to say farewell like Judas is a thing I find absurd. You shook my world- (you sucked me in then spat me out in bubbles), the effects of your affections stay the cause of all my troubles. The only thing you never did was have the decency to kiss this corpse and nail the lid - came on and bury me! I placed you on the pedestral - you tossed me in the gutter it seems your lies were like those thighs - spread easier than butter I'm first to go, so last to know how fickle is your passion now my bones hang in your closet though my face is out of fashion As vultures circle round my head, far as the eye can see, I walk this world (the living dead) - high-time to bury me! You laid me to death - now lay me to rest a sticky sweet-nothing to get off your chest It's all pillow-talk at the end of the day Find more similar lyrics on cat's got your tongue - with so much left to say I'm not the knave you 've fooled - behind the mask you wore my beguiling, smiling vir ...
Matthew 13 New King James Version (NKJV) The Parable of the Sower 13 On the same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the sea. 2 And great multitudes were gathered together to Him, so that He got into a boat and sat; and the whole multitude stood on the shore. 3 Then He spoke many things to them in parables, saying:“Behold, a sower went out to sow. 4 And as he sowed, some seed fell by the wayside; and the birds came and devoured them. 5 Some fell on stony places, where they did not have much earth; and they immediately sprang up because they had no depth of earth. 6 But when the sun was up they were scorched, and because they had no root they withered away.7 And some fell among thorns, and the thorns sprang up and choked them. 8 But others fell on good ground and yielded a crop: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty. 9 He who has ears to hear, let him hear!” The Purpose of Parables 10 And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?” 11 ...

At least 40 killed in two coal mine explosions in China At least 40 miners have been killed and dozens injured in two coal mining accidents that occurred within 24 hours of each other in the southern Chinese provinces of Guizhou and Sichuan. The latest incidents, which occurred last Friday and Saturday, come just over a month after what the World Socialist Web Site described as “a week of human carnage in China’s mines.” The latest disasters underscore the continued absence of basic safety protections for Chinese mining workers amid the relentless drive by the government and companies for higher profit and output. Last Friday, an explosion in the Dashan coal mine in Pingba county, Guizhou province, killed 12 miners. Two were injured, one of whom suffered burns to 95 percent of his body. The remaining survivor was farther away from the blast. He later described his horrifying experience: “I pinched my nose, lay on my stomach and crawled forward in the darkness. There was no light. I could not see o ...

EVERY APPLICANT IS AN UNKNOWN In today’s world, tenant screening is a very critical step in the leasing process. You cannot judge a book by its cover; likewise, you cannot determine if someone is a quality tenant by mere appearance. Most, if not all property management companies require a background check on every applicant. It takes more than just verifying previous rental and employment history to make an informed leasing decision. For example, tenants who are evicted do not list that address as a current or previous address on rental applications. They might even state that they have been living with relatives for a number of years. Without FABCO, you run the possibility of renting to tenants with evictions and rental collections. COST EFFECTIVE Tenant screening minimizes damage to your property while maximizing cash flow. Checking an applicant’s credit, rental, and criminal history reduces the risk of fraud and gives you confidence in your leasing decision. Screening through FABCO also allows yo ...
It was, they would later remember, a most unpleasant evening. The weather was hot and muggy and emotions were running high. The Trinidad and Tobago High Commission for the United Kingdom lit the heart of London ablaze on Sunday 12th May with a spectacular celebration of Trinidad and Tobago culture at “The World on Regent Street” global fair. As throngs of visitors coursed through the event, thousands of patrons converged on the Trinidad and Tobago High Commission section, enthralled by the explosion of colours, pulsating tempo of calypso and soca music, rich aromas of native cuisine such as roti and bake and buljol, and the liveliest ambiance most Londoners had ever seen. The indigenous rhythms of live steelband and tassa drums resonated powerfully in the air, transporting the crowd to a Carnival dimension. Trinidad and Tobago was the only Caribbean country represented at The World on Regent Street festival, which included showings by The United States of America, France and India, among others. Situated between Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Circus in London, the event proved wildly popular attracting thousands of visitors ...

When choosing the path to follow, I selected the road heading west. It began in the forest of childhood and ceased at the city of success. My bag was packed full of knowledge, but also some fears and some weights. my most precious cargo was a vision of entering the city's bright gates. I reached an impassable river and feared that my dream had been lost but I found a sharp rock, cut down a tree and created a bridge which i crossed. It started to rain and I was so cold, I shivered and started to doubt. But I made an umbrella out of some leaves and kept all the cold water out. The journey took longer than I had planned. I had no food left in my dish rather than starve before reaching my dream, I taught myself how to fish. I grew awfully tired as I walked on and on and I thought of the weights in my pack I tossed them aside and I spend up again. Fear was all that was holding me back. i could see the city of success just beyond a small grove of trees. At lasts I thought I have reached my goal! The whole w ...

Our thinking will affect the whole planet. Even though our group may be small compared to the world's population, our thoughts are not small. Together we can make a difference, if our thinking is concentrated in the same direction. And this concentrated thinking power can defeat the other concentrated group of negative power, and then, we can better the world. That is also the purpose of our being here at this retreat, because we can change the future. No matter how bad the present is, we can still change the future, because we have the free will to do so. (South Africa, 1999)
Dear Family, Friends and Interested Acquaintances, For the past seven months I (John Firestone) have been living in Kasoa, Ghana, working with Cheerful Hearts Foundation (CHF), whose main mission is to rescue children sold into labor in fishing communities by their families who are too poor to feed, clothe and house them. CHF rescues these children, returns them to their families and pays for their schooling so that the youth of Ghana have the opportunity to break the chain of poverty that causes their families to make such tragic and unhappy decisions. The project has opened my eyes to a world of exploitation and slavery which is commonplace in developing countries but rarely heard about or understood in the developed world. Through countless interviews, days teaching, conversations with strangers and my travels around Ghana, I have begun to see the issue more clearly and understand its causes. One of the schools CHF supports with volunteers like myself is the Day Star Academy in Senya Bera ...

A little girl and her father were crossing a bridge. The father was kind of scared so he asked his little daughter: "Sweetheart, please hold my hand so that you don't fall into the river." The little girl said: "No, Dad. You hold my hand." "What's the difference?" Asked the puzzled father. "There's a big difference," replied the little girl. "If I hold your hand and something happens to me, chances are that I may let your hand go. But if you hold my hand, I know for sure that no matter what happens, you will never let my hand go." In any relationship, the essence of trust is not in its bind, but in its bond. So hold the hand of the person whom you love rather than expecting them to hold yours... [www.ForSureQuotes.com] -Oฬм'r-

After DreamWorks Pictures snagged Spielberg's "Lincoln", Walt Disney Pictures has been busy ensuring other obscuree Disney theme park attractions don't go to the big screen unless they produce it first, especially with the success of the "Pirates of the Caribbean" franchise. This includes a "Pirates of the Caribbean 5" and a 6th one in the works, plus a "Big Thunder" ABC TV series, "Jungle Cruise", "Tomorrowland" starring George Clooney, "Magic Kingdom" and a reboot of the "Haunted Mansion" with Guillermo del Toro slated to direct just in case the ultra-Disney fanatic hasn't forgotten the Eddie Murphy vehicle. So who wants to see a film about hundreds of annoying singing, and seemingly charming dolls? Don't worry, Disney has figured that out into the equation – the plot line of "Tomorrowland" begins at the 1964 Worlds Fair which premiered the "It's a Small World" attraction as well as "Great Moment With Mr. Lincoln", and the "The Carousel of Progress" and "Magic Skyway" for the matter. In case the firs ...

Tonight I’m going to the re-premier of the movie “It’s A Small World.” It stars Will Gear (Grandpa Walton) and Dale Paulin. Dale is a friend of mine and almost never misses my Bible class at a local nursing home. He was a munchkin in the “Wizard of Oz.” Unfortunately his performance was one that littered the cutting room floor along with many others. He traveled the world on stage and screen. He also played Buster Brown and for a time was a Philip Morris “Johnny.” I will be there this evening, Lord willing, to cheer him on and give him an ocean of tribute to a pint sized man.
Things to do in an elevator: 1. Make race car noises when anyone gets on or off. 2. Shake the person's hand when he/she enter the lift. 3. Congratulate all for being in the same lift with you. 4. Blow your nose and offer to show the contents of your kleenex to other passengers. 5. Grimace painfully while smacking your forehead and muttering: "Shut up, all of you just shut UP!". 6. Whistle the first seven notes of "It's a Small World" incessantly. 7. Sell Girl Scout cookies. 8. On a long ride, sway side to side at the natural frequency of the elevator. 9. Shave. 10. Crack open your briefcase or purse, and while peering inside ask: "Got enough air in there?" 11. Offer name tags to everyone getting on the elevator. Wear yours upside-down. 12. Stand silent and motionless in the corner, facing the wall, without getting off 13. When arriving at your floor, grunt and strain to yank the doors open, then act embarrassed when they open by themselves. 14. Lean over to another passenger and whisper: "Noogie patrol co ...
Yesterday was spent the whole day at Disney -- The Magic Kingdom. I nearly got into a fist fight with a young girl who tried to cut in line to board the shuttle from the parking lot. Something about being at "The Happiest Place on Earth" whips me into a ruthless frenzy of excitement. I was so anxious to partake in the wonder and magic that I nearly trampled a few kids and old people on scooters...We all sang "It's a Small World" on the 2-hour drive to Kissemmee, thanks to Jessica's download of the song, then got to relive the song in our heads for the next eight hours after enjoying the ride. It was in the high 70's all day. What a great day!
If you follow my posts at all, you know that whining and complaining are not my style, but this morning something so horrendous happened that I feel the need (yes, I used that word) to indulge myself with a small pity party, so here goes.Well, alright, I'll just suffer in private, but I do want to relate the nature of this massive assault on my peace and tranquility. As I was getting dressed this morning, my otherwise loving wife, Tish awoke and began singing a tune about a very little planet. If you have kids, you know the one I mean, the one that rings out incessantly in Disneyland as you float below a cavernous ceiling over an underground river. Now I can't get the *** thing out of my head. Happy Sunday my Small World friends. :)
I had a nice afternoon at Olive Garden with some new friends from my Sunday School Class. Found out some of us had connections from years ago. At Small World Early Learning and Development Centers, our focus on early literacy helps set the tone for young children to learn the skills needed for later academic success. Research shows that children who develop more skills in the preschool years perform better in primary grades. Everyone must be involved in developing early literacy skills, including parents. The National Institute of Health and Human Development has defined six specific early literacy skills that form the buildings blocks for reading and writing. These six early literacy predictors are print motivation, narrative skills, print awareness, phonological awareness, vocabulary, and letter knowledge. Children who enter school with more of these skills are better able to benefit from the reading instruction when they arrive at school. Every classroom at Small World includes a comfortable, cozy, well lit reading area away from the very active areas of the classroom, as recommended by the National Reading Association. In these . ...

My experience at Disneyland last week, good and not so good: * The long tall hedges at the pickup point at the parking structure are unevenly hacked at the top. * Disneyland used to fall over themselves to make sure we wouldn't have to walk far from our cars. Now, we walk at least half a mile to the tram. * Downtown Disney and California Adventure are still a horror of bad architecture and intrusion. * The lady at Guest Relations who was processing my annual pass for me, ignored me completely when I spoke to her several times, and made sure I knew it was deliberate. * At several places throughout the day I had to cheer the Cast Members up, and entertain them! They were real sour-pusses. One even smarted off to me when I asked how much something cost. * Small World, Trains, Mark Twain, Thunder Mountain were down, but not the price of admission. * The official coffee of Disneyland was changed from that mud that Nescafe makes, that I tried to drink at the park and Club 33 last Summer, has been changed to ...

Went to a great Rock Show Last week-end in HAMTRAMCK... It was 3 bands The False Intellectuals -- Steffie and the Dirty Virgins -- and GAWKER with their Fabulous front-man: Michael McMurray. A kick *** show with each band sporting wailing hot Guitarist. The Riffs by the Bass player for GAWKER were worth the price of admission alone. Had a great time hanging out with Stephanie Loveless -- she is incredible to watch and her music is Like David Bowie and Iggy Pop meet 2013. Plain Friggin' awesome show. Hey Special note to Kate Crash -- Michael McMurray was wearing a Gogol Bordello T-Shirt and Gawker has played Shows with them. Small World.

Exhausted after another day at Disney - the Magic Kingdom and it was truly magical. It was also a Small World brought to life with every language imaginable being spoken. So many shows, so many rides, so much people watching...and the fireworks, etc. were unbelievable. My tiny phone camera couldn't handle it's magic... Dropped the family off today and after driving around for over an hour trying to get back to our condo I'm here and enoying the calm. I'm pretty sure they're enjoying not having to slow everything down so I can keep up. Love you Jason Purdy and Kelsee Kappes Purdy

WILLIAM ALBERTS The horrible massacre in Newtown, Connecticut of 20 first-grade children and six teachers and other staff– and a mother and her son—has deeply moved the hearts of people across America. Many have come together, especially in interfaith services, to express their sorrow for and empathy with the victims, and to seek closeness with each other and comfort and answers. With an outpouring of compassionate statements by religious and political leaders nationwide and worldwide. One, Pope Benedict XVI, expressing “his heartfelt grief and the assurance of his closeness in prayer to the victims and their families, and to all those affected by the shocking event.” (“World leaders express sadness, pain,” By Cassandra Vinograd, Associated Press, Boston Sunday Globe, Dec. 16, 2012) Another, United Methodist Bishop Sudarshana Devadhar, writing, “May the God of love and truth surround this community of N ...
Love seeing the Disney cruise ships go by playing "It's a Small World, Isn't It"
Any chance of any UK dates from you boys? I've been living in hope ever since the Small World tour!!!
Trivia Question: How many rows of seats are there in the boats for "It's a Small World"?
Looking Forward. Looking Backwards. So it's a new year and only a month until our 4th Birthday. Who would have thunk it eh, on that snowy Valentines night when we put the tentative plan in to action, that we would still be here 4 years later & it all still being magical. 2012 was a wonderful year for us. It was the year we went festival. Starting with Rochester Sweeps in the Gordon Beer Festival...a gig beset with 3 powercuts, police arrests & men in big blue gloves and overalls working their way through the crowd to climb under the stage to fix/unblock something. But ever the professionals...we kept going and smiling. Next was The Jubilee weekend. Our Hope Festival gig was cancelled due to bad weather so we headed straight to Small World for our debut gig there and rewarded with dry weather, beautiful people & a typical Small World welcoming. We had a brief visit to a friend's festival Pridstock taking place just up the road. That was great fun. A little bit windy but that's where we met Stoney. A man wi ...
I can't believe It's A Small World is scheduled to be closed next week! How can you take a kid to experience Disneyland and they don't get to ride Small World!? I just can't win!
My dad on Splash Mountain: "Well, it's kind of like going on It's A Small World, except the whole time you're thinking that you're going to die."
Richard Price's collection 'Small World' is a work of genius.
Made my most Magical Disney Memory with Stefan as of yet tonite: Standing - cheek to cheek - at Tomorrowland Dessert and Fireworks Show watching Wishes projected off of Cinderella's Castle. (I cried!) Awesome day at the Magic Kingdom - conquered Stefan's fear of carousels (he rode the Prince's Carousel twice) and his fear of "why-works" (fireworks). Also, did the "classics" - Peter Pan, It's a Small World, Tomorrowland Speedway and the Tea Cups and enjoyed some of the New Fantasy Land, including Enchanted Tales with Belle and Voyage of the Little Mermaid. Our time here is quickly coming to an end! :( Tomorrow - Downtown Disney and lunch at T-Rex and capping our vacation off with dinner in Cinderella's Castle.
I favorited a video from Small World: Wil Wheaton, Jenna Busch, Grant Imahara, Sean
Karen and I are here in Disney gearing up for our half marathon tomorrow! After packet pick up we went to Magic Kingdom and rode Big Thunder Mountain, Buzz Light Year, Space Mountain (2x), Pirates of the Caribbean, and It's a Small World! This morning we woke up and went to Hollywood Studios! Rode Rock and Roll Roller Coaster, Star Wars, and Toy Story! Now we are sitting and relaxing at the pool in this great 80 degree weather! Can't beat this! I will let you know if this is worth it after we get up at 4:00 AM head to the monorail and end up in the Epcot parking lot at 5:00 AM to depart at 5:35 with corral B and run just 13.1 miles!
My solution for our gun culture: All guns should be pink and play "It's a Small World" every time you touch the trigger.

It's bad enough that the approx. wait time for my call to be answered at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is 7 minutes... but do they REALLY NEED to play "It's a Small World"?!
Hour and a half of yoga, drive my Prius to whole foods for lunch... But fighting my Marin vibe with a Small World game coming up with David and the kids...
You cannot walk down the parade route without being on at least one camera. These are hidden well but can be found. One obvious camera is in what looks like a light fixture on the top of a speaker pole next to alpine gardens. (in front of the temporary Christmas parade spot tower) The camera shoots down the dog leg towards Small World. These cameras are primarily used for spotting the parades, but Security has a feed too, so look out for big brother Mickey!
Great day playing board games with Steven Essex, Ben Steele, Thaddeus Hunt, and Alex Murphy. Steve may have beaten us all to the Helipad to escape the Zombies, but my berserk pixies won the day in Small World.
TODD LEVITT'S ANIMATION CLIENTS 1. Santa Claus was pulled over on his way to East Lansing. The officer discovered stolen property in Santa’s Sleigh. Santa was arrested, Sleigh impounded pending investigation. 2. Santa’s Reindeer were sent to a local farm in Mason Michigan. During transport Donner and Comet got loose. My sources tell me they are now beef jerky. 3. Mrs. Claus is also being housed in the county jail for trying to sneak in two grams of an illegal leafy green substance not mistletoe no bond has yet been set. 4. Snow White no longer has 7 dwarfs. Two of the dwarfs, Sleepy and Dopey were arrested for assaulting two Oompa Loompas outside of a Best Buy during Black Friday. Snow White was not available for comment. Willy Wonka’s Lawyer, Todd Levitt said the Dwarfs will not get away with this. Walt Disney is furious and is threatening to shut down It’s A Small World. 5. Tinker Bell has been missing from Neverland and has not been seen or heard from since Christmas Eve. Peter Pan nor The Lost ...
And the Commentary about Vacation to Orlando: Which is better, Disneyland or Disney World? The workers at both parks don't know, because none we met had ever visited both. We've had the privilege of visiting both within a few weeks of each other, so are uniquely qualified to answer the question. Answer: they're both Disney. More specifically: * Parks themselves: Disneyland is like a scale model of Magic Kingdom. Or should I say, MK is a puffed up version of Disneyland. * It's a Small World: much better at Disneyland. Magic Kingdom's is a "why bother." * Ariel's Adventure: slightly better at Magic Kingdom than at California Adventure, entirely because MK's preshow was better. * Pirates of the Caribbean: slightly better at Disneyland. Anaheim's has an extra room MK's doesn't have. * Haunted House: slightly better at Magic Kingdom. They have more talking statues and creepier use of shadow play. * Space Mountain: different but equal at both places. Magic Kingdom's is about the speed. Disneyland's is ...
It's a Small World is now a bunch of prisoners making Apple parts in Trump Tower for two cents an hour.
Small World provides no relief for those wanting ANY ride today. ~ David
We received Small World with the Be Not Afraid and Cursed expansions, Innovation, Tsuro, Catan: Cities and Knights, Tetris Link, Cards Against Humanity plus expansions, 7 Wonders: Cities, Ascension: Immortal Heroes, and High Bohn Plus (Bohnanza expansion) this Christmas. What games did Santa bring you this year?
It's a Small World has broken down and we're stuck inside. Now I know how the Donner Party felt.
This was written by my fellow travel pixie Tonya Weaver yesterday and it is truly beautiful. I just wanted to take a moment to share it with all of you. Here it is: I have a heavy heart after what happened in CT yesterday. The loss of so many innocent, sweet, children and adults. Which brings me to the reason I'm writing this topic today. I get asked so often, "Why do you like Disney so much?" To be honest, I never really gave it much of a thought, I just reply, "Because I do." And thought, if you have to ask me that, then you just don't get it. However, today I find I do have a thought to why I love Disney so much. It's because of the magic, the innocent, the make believe coming to life. It's the one time I can bring my children to a place where it transforms them to a happy place, a magical place, an innocent place. A place to take a journey through Peter's Pan Never Neverland, or take a spin on Alice's Tea Cups. Take a boat ride to It's A Small World, or fight the evil Zurg on Buzz Lightyear. Where w . ...
We picked up Carcasonne, Elder Sign and Small World today. We are so ready for game night! (TBD)
As the year comes to a close I want to share some of the comments we have received from the amazing families that have traveld with us this year: Thank you for all of your help in planning our Disney vacation. We had a great time! The Lion King Suites were great and we really enjoyed staying there. Very comfortable and gave us various sleeping options. The dinners were excellent and we loved sampling them all. My oldest loved Hollywood Studios and the two big roller coasters (rocking roller coaster and Everest). My 5 year old daughter loved the princess lunch in Norway, Splash Mountain, and Its a Small World. My 7 year old loved Star Tours (which we all thought rivaled Sorin), Club Cool, and the Nemo show in Animal Kingdom. They also loved the talking trash can in Magic Kingdom, Tom Sawyers island, Indian Jones Stunt Show, getting their face painted, and the spitting camel at the Alladin ride. Overall it was a great trip!! *comments sent by the H.H. family Nov. 2012

As an acclaimed author and avid RVer, Brad Herzog has written several travel memoirs about his road trips through small-town America, including States of Mind and Small World. It has now been 2,099 days that our father remains a hostage. This evening, our mother is enjoying a night at Disney World with three of her daughters. As they enjoy a festive evening in the Magic Kingdom, we are reminded of earlier adventures with our father in the happiest place on earth. It was never the most glamorous rides that we truly enjoyed with our father. Instead, it was the memory of Dad in the boat during "It's a Small World," continuously singing along with the timeless jingle. It was his laughs that went along with every Muppet Vision 3D show. And it was definitely his snores during the Carousel of Progress, a slow moving show that often gave our father a chance to have a 20 minute nap (not coincidentally, he always named that to be his favorite ride). These moments, not Mickey Mouse or Goofy, are what made Disney World a cherished childhood destination and memory for each of us. For his 59th birthday, our mother wanted to surprise my father by coordinating a visit to Disney World, a plan t ...
