LETTER FROM UTICA BREWERS GENERAL MANAGER: I would like to take this time to reflect on the past 4 weeks of the Brewers 2014 PGCBL season. The team’s record speaks for itself and the front office realizes that. Please keep in mind, this club has lost 8 one run games (4 of which were walk-offs). Obviously the players, fans, coaching staff, front office and sponsors would like to see more wins on the board. That goes for any team, no matter what the sport. Play to win. I can say our club gives 110% every night. I’m very proud of this group of young men. They have remained positive. Their interaction with fans (especially the kids) is by far the best in the league. But no matter what the record, the Brewers need fan support by coming to Donovan Stadium on game nights. Major League Baseball teams who have experienced 100+ season losses still had their fans attend. Why? Love of the game, players, and stadium atmosphere. Take it from me a long time Mets fan. I remember going to Shea Stadium ...

Ode To My Father (reposted on the occasion of his 90th Birth Anniversary)   He worked for 20 years in what was once the world's largest office building. As a child, he once set his garage on fire. He earned the James Smithson Medal from the Smithsonian Institute. He once threw a hot dog at Pete Rose in left field at Shea Stadium. He was the "Honorary Attorney General" of the state of Louisiana. His only arrest was for throwing a firecracker outside a USO dance...2 weeks after Pearl Harbor. He was interviewed by CBS on NASA's liability for satellites falling on people's heads. He once sat in the back of a limo with Mickey Cohen...and Mickey Cohen's drooling bulldog...who was trained to growl at the names of San Francisco police captains. He has successfully sued the likes of Aristotle Onassis, the Gucci family, and Muammar Qaddafi. His two favorite TV shows in the 60s were "Masterpiece Theater" and "Hee-Haw." On this date, May 20, 1983, After almost exactly a month, The Elvis Brothers have finished recording and mixing their first album for Portrait/CBS. The album will be called "Movin' Up", which was a positive title and also the title of one of our songs (one of Graham's). Personally, I thought it would've been a good choice for a single but it never was. I'm not sure if the band took photos for the album cover while we were recording in NYC, or if we went their again soon after. The photos were taken by Benno Freidman, who was also known for taking the classic cover photos for Cheap Trick's second album, "In Color". He told us that the "In Color" shots were taken in the parking lot of Shea Stadium. So, we probably flew home today or maybe yesterday. Tomorrow, we have our first show after recording for a month. It's kind of funny where we are playing (you'll know on the 21st). So, it's back to the old gig traveling but lots of good opening gigs and tours and you name it that goes along with the release of an ...

I feel like Dontrelle hit all his HR's in Shea Stadium
Just caught the Billy at Shea stadium video. You killed as usual.
David Wright's most HRs in a single season at Citi Field would be his least amount of HRs at Shea Stadium.
Planning our next show at 43 Please. Gonna be big. For some info on DIY read this great interview.
