Remember the deep contrast between Sharon Stone and Rachel Ticotin in the original and how well it served the story?
Hey! I share a birthday with Rachel Ticotin from Total Recall. She was the chick that wasn't Sharon Stone or the 3 boobed one.
Directed by Paul Verhoeven. With Arnold Schwarzenegger, Rachel Ticotin, Sharon Stone. Just finished watching the new Total Recall - the main thing better than the original version is the actresses. Kate Beckinsale & Jessica Biel beat Sharon Stone & Rachel Ticotin any day of the year!
"Total Recall" is a generic bloodless remake of the over the top verve and humor and violence of the 1990 original. Colin Farrell, Jessica Biel, and Kate Beckinsale might be pretty pretty people, but they are no match for Arnie, Sharon Stone, and Rachel Ticotin for personality and character. It's not a bad movie, it's just forgettable, which might be even worse.
Why remake a movie that is a ball of perfect cheese to begin with? I mean, Colin Farrell is no Arnold Schwarzenegger, Kate Beckinsale is no Sharon Stone, Len Wiseman is no Paul Verhoeven, and Jessica Biel is most certainly no Rachel Ticotin, not even close. But...Bryan Cranston may just barely top Ronnie Cox.
Movie, Action/Adventure, Science Fiction. (1990) Arnold Schwarzenegger, Rachel Ticotin, Sharon Stone. Recurring nightmares of the planet Mars lead a confused earthling into the center of an intergalactic conspiracy. AC, AL, BN, GV.
As I recall, this movie is legendary and should be as mind blowing as the original. Kate Beckinsale and Jessica Biel is a good start, the origiinal had Sharon Stone and Rachel Ticotin.
Still think the original Total Recall's Rachel Ticotin & Sharon Stone were way more badass. Arnold wasn't so bad either.
New 'Total Recall' seems to be lacking Mars... Jessica Biel in the Rachel Ticotin "sleazy, demure" role... Beckinsale as Sharon Stone
Kate Beckinsdale and Jessica Biel are too similar for Total Recall to make sense. In original, it's Sharon Stone v. Rachel Ticotin...
