Shaolin Soccer & Kung Fu
Shaolin Soccer is a 2001 Hong Kong comedy film co-written, directed by and starring Stephen Chow. A former Shaolin monk reunites his five brothers, years after their master's death, to apply their superhuman martial arts skills to play soccer and bring Shaolin Kung Fu to the masses. Chinese martial arts, also referred to by the Mandarin Chinese term wushu and popularly as kung fu or gung fu , are a number of fighting styles that have developed over the centuries in China. /5
"Shaolin Soccer. One of the best Kung Fu comedies ever!" via /r/moviecritic
A girl just messaged me saying, "I love ALL Kung Fu movies! Kung Fu Hustle, Shaolin Soccer and all those movies! I love everything Guillermo Del Toro does too! I'm a movie buff!". Now, am I a *** for thinking "no, you're really not."? I respect these films, other than the script for Pacific Rim, but can we acknowledge that it's always lame when someone claims to be a movie BUFF just because they are a fan of Wes Anderson, Quentin Tarantino, Del Toro, Christopher Nolan and Rob Zombie? I'm not saying that ANY of these are bad choices, it just stings my ears a bit because although I enjoy these filmmakers body of work, there is SO much more out there than just what you see being pushed in mainstream media. In the end, at least these people are watching movies that make them happy and keep them inspired! Please, do more movie digging though. Just because I love sharp cheddar, mozzarella and mac n' cheese, doesn't mean I'm a cheese aficionado ;)
Shaolin Soccer :) Kung Fu movie.that's something! lol Can't wait for The Grandmaster to come out!

Stephen Chow (director and star of Shaolin Soccer) is at it again with his newest action-packed and comedic martial-arts adventure, Kung Fu Hustle. From wild...
So the family's film collection is essentially categorized by genre. And I promised DJ he and I could stay up late watching Kung Fu tonight. I ask him to select three choices and he comes back with Matrix Reloaded, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, and Shaolin Soccer... I was so impressed with his variety I told him he got to pick the first flick... Crouching Tiger it is.
Hah my local dumpling place is playing Kung-fu Hustle. Too good but Shaolin Soccer was way better.
