Recently, We Have Seen Many RINOs In The House And Senate Succumb To Pressure From The Mainstream Media And Washington Radicals. Mike Enzi (Liz Cheney's opponent) is one of the RINOs who will allow Harry Reid and President Obama to push through their Big Government agenda and recklessly waste our tax dollars. In fact, Mike Enzi actively works against the efforts of conservatives like Mike Lee and Ted Cruz. This March, Mike Enzi not only voted to raise taxes by sponsoring the Internet Sales Tax, he also encouraged other Senate Republicans to support the bill. We need Senators who will stop at nothing to defend our liberty! Liz Cheney needs to replace Mike Enzi and become the next U.S. Senator from Wyoming. She is the strong conservative voice we must have in the Senate aiding Ted Cruz and Mike Lee in their courageous efforts to stop Harry Reid's radical agenda. Not only will Liz Cheney join Ted Cruz and Mike Lee to be a warrior protecting conservative values, she will also show American women that the “w ...
I received this letter today via e-mail from the senate conservative news letter I'm a part of and thought I'd share it :s ~Boo~ Fellow Conservatives: We have troubling news to share. Please read this carefully. Last week,POLITICO reported that Senate Republicans "lashed" conservatives Ted Cruz (R-TX) and Mike Lee (R-UT) in a private meeting for their efforts to stop Obamacare funding and for supporting the Senate Conservatives Fund (SCF). These unnamed Republicans attacked SCF and our grassroots supporters across the country because we ran TV and radio ads calling on them to join the fight to defund Obamacare. They're mad because you're holding them accountable. Thankfully, you have some true friends in Washington. When pressed by their colleagues to disavow you, Ted Cruz and Mike Lee refused. In fact, POLITICO reported that Cruz defiantly shot back, "I will not." Now that's what courage looks like. We wish the story ended here, but it does not. Yesterday, Glenn Beck revealed the identity of the Republic ...
A Cruz Missile Launch, Like a Light, Shows the Cockroaches Scurrying By: Erick Erickson (Diary) | September 24th, 2013 at 04:30 AM | 1 RESIZE: AAA “Ted Cruz and Mike Lee have, whether they can muster the support or not in this round, ensured the GOP cannot begin collaborating with the Democrats to fix what the voters want repealed.” A curious moment happened on Fox News Sunday. Chris Wallace told Karl Rove that a number of Republicans in Congress had sent him opposition research on Ted Cruz once Fox announced Cruz would be on. Rove responded. He said this was all happening because Cruz and Mike Lee had not worked out strategy in the regular Senate Republican Conference lunches on Thursdays. Rove said that was what was supposed to happen. Except that for a year now, Senate Republicans have routinely leaked the proceedings of those meetings to the New York Times and Washington Post in ways designed to harm Cruz, Lee, and others who side with them. In fact, as one Senator noted in last week’s meeti ...
Talk about public distrust. Before January 2009, the filibuster was used sparingly -- only for measures and nominations to which the minority party in the Senate had their strongest objections. Since then Senate Republicans have filibustered almost everything, betting that voters will blame Democrats for the dysfunction in Congress as much as they blame the GOP. So far the bet is paying off because the press has failed to call out the GOP – which is now preventing votes on the President’s choices for three D.C. Circuit Court nominees, the Labor Department, the EPA, the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau, and the National Labor Relations Board. The GOP has already broken with hundreds of years of Senate precedent and filibustered the nomination of a Cabinet secretary, Chuck Hagel for Secretary of Defense, and used the filibuster to delay John Brennan’s nomination as CIA Director. Harry Reid may now be able to summon 51 votes to abolish the filibuster, at least with regard to nominations to the cabin ...
Only five Senate Republicans voted against the Fiscal Cliff Deal--Sens. Marco Rubio of Florida, Mike Lee of Utah, Rand Paul of Kentucky, Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Richard Shelby of Alabama--voted against the deal. Three Senate Democrats joined them. Thanks a lot Senators Corker and Alexander...U just lost ANY and ALL of my support now...
Mike Lee Last year, House and Senate Republicans pushed a deficit reduction proposal, dubbed “Cut, Cap, and Balance,” which would have cut mandatory and discretionary spending, capped federal spending at 18% of GDP, and required
Zero Votes for Obama's Budget Last week, Senate Republicans tried to get Harry Reid and his Democratic majority to do something they haven't done in more than three years: pass a budget. Tea Party-backed Senators Pat Toomey, Rand Paul, and Mike Lee all introduced fiscally conservative budget proposals that were voted down by the Democrats. Senate Democrats have refused to submit their own budget, but Republicans did manage to force a vote on President Obama's budget proposal. "President Obama’s budget proposal, S.Con Res. 41, was introduced by Senator Sessions of Alabama in order to give the Democrats a chance to vote on the President's plan to dramatically raise spending and taxes," commented Max Pappas, FreedomWorks Vice President of Government Affairs and Public Policy. "Unsurprisingly, the Obama budget received zero votes from either party, as it is absurdly unsustainable and indefensible."
Shortly after President Obama announced that he would recess appoint four officials in order to prevent Senate Republicans from effectively shutting down two key agencies through a filibuster, Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) compared Obama’s actions to Pearl Harbor and promised a scorched earth campaign of obs...
