Prophet Muhammad (saw) said to shaik Hamad this friday about six thousand people died but none of them entered al-jannat(paradise) and many of them were women and the reason was that the RICH DO NOT USE TO PRAY at THE Right Time AND SOME OF THEM DO NOT USE TO obey the rules and regulation of their husband. DHIKR AND SALAWAT ON ENTERING THE BLESSED CITY OF THE PROPHET (sallahu alihi wasallam) Al Madeenah Al Munawarah Saudi Arabia. It is a blessing to travel towards the city of light in the month of Rabeeul Awwal because our beloved Prophet (صلى الله عليه واله وسلم) also migrated to Madeena Shareef in this month. Also today was 7th Rabeeul Awwal and according to The great Ummi saint, Sayyiduna Abdul Azeez Dabbagh رحمه الله the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه واله وسلم) was born on 7th of this month (Al Ibreez) The road trip is a reminder of the path to Allah. Looking ahead it can make one think there has been not much progress made in reaching the pleasure of Allah. But, looking back one can see how far he has traveled. Sometimes this is like life, it is difficult to understand if any progress is being made, if there is any light at the end of the tunnel. But, if one looks back and sees how far he has come, then the journey through life can become tolerable. 7th . ...
A number of Muslim ambassadors based in the capital left for Makkah on Friday to take part in the ceremonial washing of the Kaaba on Saturday morning. Aside from the Muslim members of the diplomatic group, top Saudi officials including several ministers, Islamic scholars, Muslim diplomats, as well as citizens and visitors to the Grand Mosque are expected to attend the washing ceremony. The scheduled washing ceremony will be led by Makkah Gov. Prince Mishaal bin Abdullah, on behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah. The Kaaba is given a new Kiswa (covering) on the 9th of Dul Hijjah when pilgrims proceed to Arafat for the main event of the Haj. The ceremonial washing of Kaaba is held following the example of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who washed it after entering it at the time of the conquest of Makkah. The sacred event takes place twice a year on the 15th of Shabaan (the month preceding the fasting month of Ramadan) and in mid-Muharram (the month after Dul Hijjah when Muslims p ...
Prophet Muhammad’s Last Sermon: A Final Admonition Beloved Prophet Muhammad, may the mercy and blessings of God be upon him, was born in Mecca, Saudi Arabia circa 570 C.E. He is an example for all of humanity. He was a remarkable man at all times. He excelled in all walks of life by being a prophet, ruler, orator, soldier, husband, friend, father, uncle, nephew, and a grandfather. He was a man of love, patience, courage, wisdom, generosity, intelligence and magnitude who inspired millions of lives throughout the world. God says in the Quran that he was sent as a mercy for the people of the world. "We sent thee not save as a mercy for the peoples." (Quran 21:107) His Prophetic Mission began at the age of forty, circa 610 C.E., and continued until 632 C.E. From the path of ignorance, mankind was lead to the straight path and was blessed with the guidance of God. Shortly before his death, Prophet Muhammad delivered a sermon during the Hajj, which came to be known as his "Final Sermon". This final ser ...
Controversial plans have emerged to move the tomb of the Prophet Muhammad, Islam's second-holiest site. The Prophet Muhammad, born in 570 AD, is believed by Muslims to be the last of God's prophets to mankind who delivered the religion's final revelation. His resting place in Medina, Saudi Arabia is visited by millions of Muslims every year and is seen as the second holiest site after the Kaaba, the famous black cubed building in Mecca. But it emerged last night that a Saudi academic has put forward contentious plans to have the Prophet's remains moved from the tomb over fears by some scholars that the site is leading to idolatry.
Hajj Labayk Allahuma Labayk Labayk. La shareeka laka Labayk. Innal hamda wannimata laka wal mulk. La shareeka Lak (Here I am at your service, oh Lord, here I am - here I am. No partner do you have. Here I am. Truly, the praise and the favor are yours, and the dominion. No partner do you have.) These are the words chanted by some two million people from across Saudi Arabia and throughout the world heading, as if pulled by a magnet, to one single spot on Earth. As has happened every year for 14 centuries, Muslim pilgrims gather in Makkah to perform rituals based on those conducted by the Prophet Muhammad during his last visit to the city. Performing these rituals, known as the Hajj, is the fifth pillar of Islam and the most significant manifestation of Islamic faith and unity. Undertaking the Hajj at least once is a duty for Muslims who are physically and financially able to make the journey to Makkah. The emphasis on financial ability is meant to ensure that a Muslim takes care of his family first. The r . ...
Allow me to share what I learnt in class about UMRAH.  According to Ustaz, Umrah is obligatory and not compulsory but it is highly recommended.  Umrah is also known as the minor Hajj and it is the pilgrimage (only) to the Holy City of Mecca in Saudi Arabia. Mecca is home to Ka’abah[1] and is the holiest site in the region of Islam. For Umrah, pilgrims do not go to Minaa, 'Arafaat and Muzdalifah or throw pebbles on the Jamrahs or offer animal sacrifice (korban) as these are only performed during Hajj.  Unlike Hajj, Umrah can be done at any time of the year, even before Hajj except the 5 days of Hajj; 09 to 13 Dhul Hijjah. This is to give precedence and space to Hajj goers.  Prior to Umrah:  A)  We adopt our Ihram before our flight or journey. For the men, the Ihram is a 2-piece unstitched white cloth (2.5 yards) and they are allowed to wear a belt. The women can wear any attire that covers the head and body (except face and hands), no veil and there is no restriction on the colors of the material b ...

Brief History of our beloved prophet MOhd(s).He made it in just 23 years ..ISLAM reached Everywhere .Won millions hearts of Believers .. Prophet Muhammad was born in 570 CE (Common Era) in the city of Mecca in the Arabian Peninsula, part of modern day Saudi Arabia. As his father had died shortly after marriage, his grandfather ‘Abd al-Muttalib became his guardian. ‘Abd al-Muttalib was the respected head of the clan of Hashim and the tribe of Quraysh, to which his clan belonged. With the Quraysh being the biggest and most influential tribe in Mecca, ‘Abd al-Muttalib was seen as the master of all of Mecca. The Quraysh had a special status in Mecca because they used to be in charge of the sacred Ka’ba. The Qur’an tells us that this holy edifice was built by Prophets Abraham and his son Ishmael: And when Abraham and Ishmael were raising the foundations of the House [Abraham prayed]: “Our Lord! Accept from us; surely You are the Hearing, the Knowing (2.127). Our Lord! Make us Muslims and raise fro ...
An Easy Reply To The False Accusation.!! Did Uthman Ibn Affan (ra) Burned the Quran.? The Noble Quran was revealed in Arabic 1400 years ago had 7 dialects. There exists today one original copy of the Noble in Saudi Arabia today. A copy of this original copy also exists in Turkey today as well. When the Noble Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), it was revealed in Arabic, and in the Quraishi dialect. The Quraishi dialect is the most proper Arabic dialect that properly uses the Arabic words without altering their sound. The Quraishi dialect was the most popular dialect in the Middle East at that time, and is today the dialect used among Arabs who speak Proper Arabic. The dialect that books teach at schools is also a Quraishi dialect today.Back in the Middle East 1400 years ago, the Quraishi dialect was not the only one used among Arabs. There existed 6 other dialects along with it, but as I said, it was the most popular. When Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) received the Noble Quran's Revelations in a 23-y ...

Brief History Of The World Before Prophet Muhammad (pbuh). ARABIA Arabia, before Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), consisted of numerous non-united tribes. They were illiterate, and preserved their history by communicated folklore through poetry. Before Muhammad (pbuh) announced his prophetic mission, there were approximately twenty individuals in Makkah that were literate. Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was also unlettered all his life . The tribes of Arabia had no formal relationships with other nations. Neither had they been under the rule of the better organized and powerful Roman, Persians or Jews. Tribal leaders were called prices, the descendants of Ishmael, as is stated in Genesis 17:20. The descendants of the twelve princes mentioned in Genesis 25: 13-17, practiced the teaching of Abraham (pbuh) until the arrival of Omro Ibno Luhy who (Saudi Arabia) to Makkah. For several hundred years after Ishmael (pbuh) there was peace among these tribes. During the time of Prophet David (pbuh), the Arabian tribes still worsh ...

Valuing Christian Friendship and the Christian who Inspired Muslim Mindanao This holiday season and Christendom's communal time, I remember Christians who have made me value Islam more. There was my roommate in UP Kalayaan Dorm in 1991. Macky would wake me up at 3 in the morning for the fasting in Ramadhan, be my food-taster in case there was pork in the meals, took me to see the metro and was there in times of loneliness from family who were in Saudi Arabia then. I remember Nabi/Prophet Muhammad who came to a Christian king to find security for his followers away from those who would hurt them because of their belief. Fr. Chito Soganob was another special person. Not only was he the highest Christian official in Lanao, he was a counsellor for even the traumatized and conflict-affected. He had brought my attention to women being physically harassed by some locals. He allowed me to speak at a Sunday congregation on the issue of security and support systems with one another in the aftermath of the Mindnolia ...
Jihad means struggling in the name of Allah Almighty. Jihad doesn't always mean a war or battle. Any mean for spreading Islam and the Truth, or to fight for what is right and condemn what is wrong (such as fighting the bad and helping the oppressed even if they were not Muslims) are considered Jihad. Islam is not a religion of arms and swords! When Allah Almighty revealed the Noble Quran to Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, and Muhammad became the Messenger of GOD Almighty, Muhammad had to spread Islam to 365 Pagan Arab Tribes. These tribes showed so much hostility toward the Muslims and Islam, and have imposed so many battles against the Muslims. Later, when Islam was the religion of what we call today Saudi Arabia, and the 365 Pagan Arab tribes mostly converted to Islam, the Muslims had to yet face another type of challenge. The Nuclear Soviet Union and the United States of America of our days were the Great Empires of the Christian Romans and the Pagan Persians. If you know geography and history well ...

There was hundreds of victims of crucifixion, under Saddam Hussein's regime in Iraq. It is a prescribed punishment in Qur'an 5:33 for those who cause 'mischief'. Despite the fact that Constantine the Great, the first Christian emperor, abolished crucifixion in the Roman Empire in 337 AD, out of veneration for Jesus Christ, the most famous victim of crucifixion, Prophet Muhammad perpetuated this practice by declaring it a prescribed punishment in Islamic law. Crucifixion is still a part of Iran's criminal code, and as a method of torture and execution is still being used, primarily against Christians and Christian converts, in Sudan and Iraq, both Islamic countries. As Joseph (who was taken into slavery by Muslims at the age of seven) found out in November 2004, not even children are spared. Adding itself to the ranks of shariah-practicing leaderships, Hamas, the Islamic governing body of Gaza, reinstated the penalty of crucifixion in 2008, and in May 2009 and June 2010 two convicted killers were beheaded ...

Muslims measure the passage of time using the Islamic (Hijrah) calendar. This calendar has twelve lunar months, the beginnings and endings of which are determined by the sighting of the crescent moon. Years are counted since the Hijrah, which is when the Prophet Muhammad migrated from Makkah to Madinah (approximately July 622 A.D.). The Islamic calendar was first introduced by the close companion of the Prophet, Umar ibn Al-Khattab. During his leadership of the Muslim community, in approximately 638 A.D., he consulted with his advisors in order to come to a decision regarding the various dating systems used at that time. It was agreed that the most appropriate reference point for the Islamic calendar was the Hijrah, since it was an important turning point for the Muslim community. After the emigration to Madinah (formerly known as Yathrib), the Muslims were able to organize and establish the first real Muslim "community," with social, political, and economic independence. Life in Madinah allowed the Musli ...
blocked for seven days from posting a picture ... a chained young child that's showing truth heres the story why the child is tortured CLASHES between Islam's two big sects, the Sunni and the Shia, take place across the Muslim world. In the Middle East a potent mix of religion and politics has sharpened the divide between Iran’s Shia government and the Gulf states, which have Sunni governments. Last year a report by the Pew Research Centre, a think tank, found 40% of Sunnis do not consider Shia to be proper Muslims. So what exactly divides Sunni and Shia Islam and how deep does the rift go? The argument dates back to the death in 632 of Islam’s founder, the Prophet Muhammad. Tribal Arabs who followed him were split over who should inherit what was both a political and a religious office. The majority, who would go on to become known as the Sunnis, and today make up 80% of Muslims, backed Abu Bakr, a friend of the Prophet and father of his wife Aisha. Others thought Muhammad’s kin the rightful succes ...
Fact of Islamic knowledge 1.Islam" means "peace through the submission to God". 2."Muslim" means "anyone or anything that submits itself to the will of God". 3.Islam is a complete way of life that governs all facets of life: moral, spiritual, social, political, economical, intellectual, etc. 4.Allah is not the God of Muslims only. He is the God of all people and all creation. Just because people refer to God using different terms does not mean that they are different gods. Spanish people refer to God as "Dios" and French people refer to God as "Dieu", yet they are all the same God. Interestingly, most Arab Jews and Arab Christians refer to God as "Allah". And the word Allah in Arabic appears on the walls of many Arab churches. 5.he Islamic concept of God is that He is loving, merciful, and compassionate. But Islam also teaches that He is just and swift in punishment. Nevertheless, Allah once said to Prophet Muhammad, "My mercy prevails over my wrath." Islam teaches a balance between fear and hope, protect ...
The 9th day of Dhul-Hijjah (the Month of Hajj) is called the Day of Arafat. This day is the culminating event of the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia. The Day of Arafat falls on the 2nd day of pilgrimage rituals. At dawn of this day, nearly 2 million Muslim pilgrims will make their way from Mecca to a nearby hillside and plain called Mount Arafat and the Plain of Arafat. It was from this site that the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, gave his famous Farewell Sermon in his final year of life. During the entire day, from dawn until sunset, Muslim pilgrims stand in earnest supplication and devotion, praying for God's abundant forgiveness. Tears are shed readily as those who gather make repentance and seek God's mercy, recite words of prayer and remembrance, and gather together as equals before their Lord. Muslims around the world who are not participating in the pilgrimage often spend this day in fasting and devotion.

The Hadith of the pond of Khumm (Arabic: غدير خم) is a hadith which refers to a historical event in Islamic history. It has been interpreted in different ways by the two main sects of Islam, the Sunni and the Shia, where the Shias maintain that the Prophet Muhammad appointed Ali ibn Abi Talib as his 'heir and successor', although these words were not used. The event took place on 18th of Dhu al-Hijjah of 10 AH in the Islamic calendar (March 10, 632 AD)[citation needed] at a place called Ghadir Khumm, which is located near the city of al-Juhfah, in present day Saudi Arabia. The Shia school of thought maintains that 70,000 to 150,000 people were present at this occasion, whereas the Sunnis believe that much less than a fraction of that number of people were present.[1] The sermon also illustrates the Islamic understanding of monotheism and God. Context A few months before his demise, Prophet Muhammad, living in the city of Medina, made his exclusive religious pilgrimage to Mecca in a trip referred to ...
Professor Tejatat Tejasen is the Chairman of the Department of Anatomy at Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand. Previously, he was the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at the same university. During the Eighth Saudi Medical Conference in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Professor Tejasen stood up and said: “During the last three years, I became interested in the Quran. From my study and what I have learned from this conference, I believe that everything that has been recorded in the Quran fourteen hundred years ago must be the truth, that can be proved by the scientific means. Since the Prophet Muhammad could neither read nor write, Muhammad must be a messenger who relayed this truth, which was revealed to him as an enlightenment by the one who is eligible [as the] creator. This creator must be God. Therefore, I think this is the time to say La ilaha illa Allah, there is no god to worship except Allah (God), Muhammadur rasoolu Allah, Muhammad is Messenger (Prophet) of Allah (God). THE GOLDEN AGE OF ISLAM Islam, the youngest of all the world's religions emerged on the world scene in 622 CE (Current Era) with the Hijra (migration), of Prophet Muhammad (s) and his small band of followers, from Mecca to Medina in northwest Arabia. One hundred fifty years later the Muslim government where Allah is the ultimate authority had become the Islamic Empire, encircling the Mediterranean Sea from Syria and the Tigris and Euphrates Valley east to southern China and western India, south through what had been the Persian Empire and Saudi Arabia, west through Egypt and across North Africa, and north through Spain to the Pyrenees. With the founding of the city of Baghdad and the establishment of the Abbasid Caliphate (Muslim religious/political leaders, successors of the Prophet) in the mid-8th century, Islam's golden age began to emerge. For 400 years, from the mid-9th century until the sack of Baghdad by the Mongols in 1256, Muslim culture was unparalleled in its splendor and learning. A number of ...
Islamic scholars have historically had mixed views about tobacco, and until recently, there has not been a clear, unanimous fatwa (legal opinion) to allow or forbid cigarette smoking. The mixed views on the subject came about because cigarettes are a more recent invention and did not exist at the time of the revelation of the Qur'an in the 7th century A.D. Therefore, one cannot find a verse of Qur'an, or words of the Prophet Muhammad, saying clearly that "cigarette smoking is forbidden." However, there are many instances where the Qur'an gives us general guidelines, and calls upon us to use our reason and intelligence, and seek guidance from Allah about what is right and wrong. Islamic scholars use their knowledge and judgment to make new legal rulings (fatwa). In the Qur'an, Allah says, “...he [the Prophet] commands them what is just, and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good, and prohibits them from what is bad..." (Qur'an 7:157). In more recent times, as the dangers of toba ...
Background Abdu'l-Rahman ibn Abu Bakr (died 675) was the eldest son of Abu Bakr, the first caliph. His mother was Um Ruman bint Amir ibn Uwaymir ibn Zuhal ibn Dahman and he was the full brother of Aisha. He and three other children of Abu Bakr namely Abdullah, Aisha and Asma were born sometime between 595 AD to 609 AD. It is said that he had a good sense of humour. Unlike the rest of his family, including his father Abu Bakr and sister Aisha, he did not convert to Islam until the Treaty of Hudaybiyah in 628 AD. Four generations of the family of Abdu'l-Rahman had the distinction of being the companions (sahaba) of the Prophet Muhammad namely Abdu'l-Rahman, his father Abu Bakr Siddiq, his grandfather Uthman Abu Quhafa and his son Abu Atiq Muhammad. It was believed that no other family held this distinction.Participation in battles While still a non-Muslim, Abdu'l-Rahman fought from the side of Quraish in the Battles of Badr and Uhud. In the Battle of Badr, he had got a chance when he could have easily struc ...

He lived for 40 years in this town before God called him as a Prophet. The town was one divided into two classes, -the rich and affluent, and the poor and downtrodden. The majority of it's inhabitants were idol worshippers who worshipped the 360 idols which decked the Kaba (What the Kaba is, we will address shortly, inshallah.) At the age of 40, Muhammad (saas) retired to a cave one evening, as was his habit from time to time, to take solitude and refuge from the bustle of Mecca's city life. It was on this occassion, that the angel Gabriel appeared to him in a frightening vision. The angel ordered him to iqra (Recite/read) several times. -Muhammad (saas), being an illiterate, and enveloped in fear, said, "What shall I recite?" -It was then that the first verses of the Muslims Holy Book, the Qu'ran, was revealed to him: إقرأ باسم رب ...
Saudi Arabia: HISTORICAL BACKGROUND Pre-Islamic Period: By 1000 B.C., southern Arabia had a relatively high level of development. The civilization evolved rapidly because it had steady contact with the outside world via the trade routes that spanned the region. Exports in frankincense and myrrh brought wealth and global connections to present-day Bahrain, Yemen, Oman, and southern Saudi Arabia. While the Persians and Romans fought to control the Near East, Arabic society benefited from the exchange of ideas that came with the camel caravans. Multiple religions were present in the region, including Christianity, Judaism, and various polytheistic paganisms. Early Islam: The birth of the Prophet Muhammad in A.D. 570 forever changed Saudi Arabia. Today, many Arabs refer to the time before the introduction and spread of Islam as “the time of ignorance.” Muhammad was born in the city of Mecca into the prominent Quraysh tribe, which controlled water rights and maintained a very active role in peninsular trad ...
Prophet Muhammad was a descendant of Hagar's Son Ishmael (Abraham was his father). After roaming the wilderness for some time, Ishmael and his mother settled in the Desert of Paran, where he became an expert in archery. Eventually, his mother found him a wife from the land of Egypt. They had twelve sons who each became tribal chiefs throughout the regions from Havilah to Shur (from Assyria to the border of Egypt). His sons were: 1.Nebaioth 2.Kedar, father of the Qedarites, a northern Arab tribe that controlled the area between the Persian Gulf and the Sinai Peninsula. According to tradition, he is the ancestor of the Quraysh tribe, and thus of Muhammad 3.Adbeel, established a tribe in northwest Arabia. 4.Mibsam 5.Mishma 6.Dumah, associated with Adummatu described as "a fortress of Arabia" in Saudi Arabia. 7.Massa, father of a nomadic tribe that inhabited the Arabian desert toward Babylonia. 8.Hadad 9.Tema 10.Jetur 11.Naphish 12.Kedemah
Many people were related to the Prophet both by blood and marriage as well as by soul and spirit. But the term "Ahlul Bayt" as used by the Qur'an and the Prophet does not apply to all of them. We see that Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.) clearly applied the Qur'anic term "Ahlul Bayt" to four people: Fatima, Ali, Hasan, Husayn (peace be upon them all). The first verse (33:33) is of purification (tathir): "Verily Allah intends to keep away the abonomination from you, O the Ahlul Bayt, and purify you a through purification." No Muslim would question the inclusion of Fatima, Ali, Hasan, Husayn in the "Ahlul Bayt". The disagreement arises in the inclusion of the wives and other Hashimite relatives of the Prophet among the "Ahlul Bayt". For example, during our time, a book has been published in Saudi Arabia entitled as 'Allimu Awladakum Hubb Al-i Bayt n'Nabi (Teach Your Children the Love of the Family of the Prophet) by Dr. Muhammad 'Abduh Yamani in 1991.1 The order in which Yamani talks about the Prophet's family is ...
Kenneth L. Jenkins, Minister and Elder of Pentecostal Church, USA (part 3 of 3) Description: A once misguided boy finds his salvation through the Pentecostal Church and answers his call to ministry at the age of 20, later to become a Muslim. Part 3: “A birth from darkness into light.” A New Beginning It was not long after arriving in Saudi Arabia that I saw an immediate difference in the lifestyle of the Muslim people. They were different from the followers of Elijah Muhammad and Minister Louis Farrakhan in that they were of all nationalities, colors and languages. I immediately expressed a desire to learn more about this peculiar brand of religion. I was amazed with the life of Prophet Muhammad and wanted to know more. I requested books from one of the brothers who was active in calling people to Islam. I was supplied with all of the books that I could possibly want. I read each and every one. I was then given the Holy Quran and read it completely several times within four months. I asked que ...

WAS AISHA ONLY NINE WHEN SHE BECAME PROPHET MUHAMMAD'S BRIDE ? By Tarek Fatah The allegation that Islam’s Prophet Muhammad married Aisha in the year 624AD when she was just a nine-year old girl is not new. It’s an age-old debate that has become the corner stone of Islam hatred, Muslim embarrassment and the continued justification of child marriage and rape of girls in Islamic societies. It is not just Islam-haters who have a stake in reaffirming the myth that Muhammad had a child bride. The fact is, throughout Islamic history, many a Caliph and Mulla has committed paedophilia and then justified the act by invoking the supposed tradition of Muhammad in consummating a marriage with a nine-year old girl. Even today in Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan and across Muslim lands, Muslim girls have been given away by their fathers, brothers or uncles to middle-aged men with no sense of guilt or shame, since they are told their very own beloved Prophet had sanctioned such child marriage. It does ...

al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī, (born January 626, Medina, Arabia [now in Saudi Arabia]—died Oct. 10, 680, Karbalāʾ, Iraq), Shīʿite Muslim hero, grandson of the Prophet Muhammad, and son of ʿAlī (the fourth Islamic caliph) and Fāṭima, daughter of Muhammad. He is revered by Shīʿite Muslims as the third imam (after ʿAlī and Ḥusayn’s older brother, Ḥasan). After the assassination of their father, ʿAlī, Ḥasan and Ḥusayn acquiesced to the rule of the first Umayyad caliph, Muʿāwiya, from whom they received pensions. Ḥusayn, however, refused to recognize the legitimacy of Muʿāwiya’s son and successor, Yazīd (April 680). Ḥusayn was then invited by the townsmen of Kūfah, a city with a Shīʿite majority, to come there and raise the standard of revolt against the Umayyads. After receiving some favourable indications, Ḥusayn set out for Kūfah with a small band of relatives and followers. According to traditional accounts, he met the poet al-Farazdaq on the way and was told that the ...
Religion, History and Philosophy Friday's* Al Aqsa Mosque, or Al-Masjid el-Aqsa, in Jerusalem's Haram el-Sharif (the Temple Mount to Jews), is a mosque that includes the Dome of the Rock. It is Islam's third-holiest site after the Kaaba in Mecca and the Prophet's Mosque in Medina (both in Saudi Arabia). Al-Aqsa, which means the farthest, is the second-oldest mosque after the Kaaba. It is believed to be on the site of a rock revered by Jews as the foundation stone and axis of the world, and where the Prophet Muhammad prayed. The prophet prayed at the rock, if not to the rock, during what has been rendered as a miraculous night journey he undertook on a white flying horse (l-Buraq El-Sharif) from Mecca to Jerusalem about 10 years after he began receiving "revelations" that disciples later codified as the Koran. The legendary rock is today covered by a golden dome, the Dome of the Rock. Muhammad instructed his followers to pay their respects to "the farthest mosque" (hence, al-Aaqsa), and for almost two year ...

Iran has hosted an international conference on Ghadir Khoum. The conference is aimed at discussing different aspects of the divine message of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to all Muslims. Scholars and thinkers from 35 countries among them, Algeria, Pakistan, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Turkey, South Africa, Spain, Iraq and Lebanon have taken part in the event. Eid al-Ghadir is the anniversary commemorating the last sermon of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in 632 AD at the Pond of Khoum in Saudi Arabia. The sermon, which was attended by tens of thousands of Muslims performing Hajj, saw the Prophet of Islam appointing Imam Ali (PBUH) as his successor. The occasion of Ghadir Khumm is also associated with the well-attested Prophetic tradition that he has left behind two weighty things: namely the Holy Qur'an and his progeny, which Muslims consider to be the Prophet's testamentary declaration. In commemorating Eid-e Ghadir, Muslims celebrate the event of Ghadir Khoum, to renew their allegiance with Prophet Muhammad, Imam Ali ...
Hatf or more commonly known as Ra'ad is the name of one of the sword of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. Muhammad took this sword as booty from the Banu Qaynuqa, was one of the three main Jewish tribes living in the 7th century of Medina, now in Saudi Arabia. In 624, they were expelled by Muhammad for allegedly breaking the treaty known as the Constitution of Medina.[3] It is said that King David took his sword “al-Battar” from Goliath as booty when he defeated him, but he was less than 20 years old. God gave King David the ability to work with iron, to make armor and weapons and instruments of war, and he made for himself a sword. It was thus that the Hatf sword came about, resembling the al-Battar but larger than it. He used this sword and it was passed onto the tribe of Levites who kept the weapons of the Israelites until it passed into the hands of Muhammad.
And Obama prayed the muslim way, in the courthouse, to allah. It is used in Saudi Arabia and some states in Northern Nigeria. Maliki: This is based on the practices of the people of Medina during Muhammad's lifetime. Shafi'i: This is a conservative school that emphasizes on the opinions of the companions of the Prophet Muhammad. Hanifi: This is the most liberal school, and is relatively open to some limited modern ideas. 1- Jihad defined as “to war against all non-Muslims to establish the religion” is the duty of every Muslim and Muslim head ...

Two female pilgrims from Adamawa State were yesterday swindled by some illegal immigrants also known as Takaris suspected to be of Nigerians near the famous Prophet Muhammad Mosque in Medina, Saudi Arabia. The incident happened when the women went to purchase some items to be used for the Hajj exercise but ended up being swindled by the fraudsters. Weekly Trust learnt that the fraudsters approached the women and made them to believe that they were also performing the Hajj exercise and therefore willing to assist in the bargain. “In the process, they both communicated in fluent Hausa language, which made the victims to be comfortable and accepted the offer of assistance,” said our source. He added that after collecting the money to make payment for the clothes, the men disappeared in the crowd. The victims, Aisha and Maimuna, both confirmed the incident, saying they were disposed of their Basic Travelling allowance worth 4000 riyals (two thousand each). “We suffered when the incident happened. Prince Talal had no problem with the ban of the veil. He said that such dressing “had nothing to do with Islam.” Pressed by the BBC reporter on the oppression of Christians in Saudi Arabia, especially Christians’ inability to establish places of worship in the Kingdom, Prince Talal argued that expecting a church in Saudi Arabia is like expecting a mosque in the Vatican. Prince Talal acknowledged the need for reforms in Islam saying that women not being allowed to drive in the kingdom is backward and had no basis in Islam. He also noted that women in the days of Prophet Muhammad were freer than women in many Muslim societies. Talal called the countries protesting against the anti-Islam film unstable countries many of which had gone through traumatic changes in recent times. “The best weapons for fighting fanaticism that claims to be coming from Islam are found in Islam itself,” French President Francois Hollande said at the opening ceremony of the Islamic art museum. “What more beautiful messag ...
Abdulaziz Al-Sheikh: Attacks Upon Diplomatic Embassies Are Against Islamic Virtues RIYADH – The highest religious authority in Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of Islam, has condemned attacks against foreign embassies in protest at a film defaming Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessing be upon him, saying the assaults run counter to the teachings of the Islamic faith. “Such acts damage the Muslim religion, are not permitted by God and are incompatible with the teachings of the Prophet,” Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al-Sheikh said in a speech carried by the state news agency SPA. “It is forbidden to punish the innocent for the wicked crimes of the guilty, or to attack those who have been granted protection of their lives and property, or to expose public buildings to fire or destruction.” Violent protests have engulfed the Muslim world over a US-made film defaming Prophet Muhammad. In Egypt, at least two people were killed in days of clashes between security forces and angry protestors trying to storm ...
If anyone is against the Islam faith and uttered bad or derogatory words against it, I am deeply hurt. I know a person who is doing this, uttering and saying evil words against Muslim and Islam. His name is Reynold de Guzman. I am reporting this person for his disrespectful behaviour towards Muslim and Islam. Reynold de Guzman is a Filipino, born on June 12 at San Jose, Tarlac, Philippines. He is currently working at Grain Silos Flour Mill Organization. At present, he lives in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. He is secretly attending Filipino fellowship and worship. He is persuading and telling to others to attend their christian meetings and he is teaching and saying that Christianity is the only correct religion, and Islam is evil. He did not believe Prophet Muhammad, saying he is false prophet. I hope you will give proper action regarding this matter and remove him from his present job were he is working and deported him to his own country or punish him. Thank you.

The Senior Scholars of Saudi Arabia warn the Muslim Ummah from the heresy or 'Ali Hasan al-Halabi in a scathing attack.
The history and story of the Arab people all originated in the Arabian Peninsula, which was separated from the rest of the ancient world by the sea on three sides which includes the Red Sea and the Arabian Sea and by the Euphrates River which runs thru modern day Syria and Iraq. The Ancient Arabs lived in small clans consisting of several families. The clans were constantly at war with one another and raided one another's villages in the process. The Arabs were aggressive and considered it an honor to die in battle. Acts of vengeance for the death of clan members were common. Starting in the Seventh century, the Arabs began converting to the religion of Islam and they helped the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in spreading Islam all throughout the Middle East. In so doing, the Arabs settled in new lands, where they drove out nonbelievers. In a relatively short span of time, the Arabs had become the primary inhabitants of Iraq and other countries which include Syria, Kuwait, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Ye ...
The Great Mosque, Mecca Mecca (Makkah in Arabic) is the center of the Islamic world and the birthplace of both the Prophet Muhammad and the religion he founded. Located in the Sirat Mountains of central Saudi Arabia and 45 miles inland from the Red Sea port of Jidda (Jeddah), ancient Mecca was an oasis on the old caravan trade route that linked the Mediterranean world with South Arabia, East Africa, and South Asia. By Roman and Byzantine times it had developed into an important trade and religious center, and was known as Macoraba. The sacred land in which Mecca and Medina are located, known as the Hijaz, is the western region of the Arabian Peninsula, a narrow tract of land about 875 miles long east of the Red Sea with the Tropic of Cancer running through its center. The land is called Hijaz, meaning barrier, because its backbone, the Sarat Mountains consist of volcanic peaks and natural depressions creating a stark and rugged environment dominated by intense sunlight and little rain fall. According to a ...

Ramadan is the most sacred month for Muslims and especiallyso for the non-Arab Muslims such as Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Indians, and Indonesians etc., and also probably for the newly converted Muslims of the West. It was same for me before I visited Saudi Arabia for my service there, when I was a pious, Indian Muslim. Non-Arab Muslims and Ramadan It was a wonderful joy for me to visit the Sacred Land of our beloved Prophet Muhammad, that too in the Holy month of Ramadan. There are hundreds of thousand non-Arab Muslims, who love Muhammad more than Allah and prefer to die in Medina instead of Mecca (The house of Allah). On my arrival in Saudi Arabia to work in the Government department as an engineer, myself and my fellow Indian co-workers suffered hunger, and survived on water alone for the first three consecutive days, as no officials bothered to take care of us. After learning of the agony of the five newly arrived Indian Muslims, a non-Muslim Indian employee of that firm rushed to our guest house and f ...

Muhammad (PBUH) Travels to Heaven Tonight 621 BC The Isra is the part of the journey of Muhammad from Makkah(in Saudi Arabia today) to Jerusalem(in Israel today). begins at a time when Muhammad was in his house in Mecca, when the archangel Jibriel (Gabriel) comes to him, and brings him the steed Buraq, the traditional heavenly steed of the prophets. Buraq carries Muhammad to the Masjid Al Aqsa the "Farthest Mosque", which is the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem. Muhammad alights, tethers Buraq to the Western Wall and performs prayer where on Allah's command by Jibriel he is tested. [5]It is narrated on the authority of Anas ibn Malik (r.a.) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Jibril brought me a vessel of wine and a vessel of milk, and I chose the milk. “Jibril said: ‘You have chosen the Fitrah (natural instinct).’ In the second part of the journey, the Mi'raj (an Arabic word that literally means “ladder”[6]), Buraq takes him to the heavens, where he tours the seven ci ...
