The last time Saturday Night Live was funny was when Chris Farley and David Spade were cast members.
Not sure what I did to deserve this vintage Saturday Night Live but thank you Always love watching Chris Farley and Phil Hartman!
Love Penn State's new kicker. Looks like a clip from a Chris Farley skit from Saturday Night Live:.
Contrary to what most believe, Adam Sandler and Chris Farley did not leave “Saturday Night Live.” They were fired.
I'm never up this late, so it's rare I would see any television. But I just scanned over to Saturday Night Live, and wow. What a joke, it's not even funny. It was appointment TV when I was a kid! Chevy Chase, Dan Akroyd, Jim Belushi, Eddie Murphy, Chris Farley, Chris Kattan, Molly Shannon, Daman Wayans, Will Ferrell, Mike Myers, Adam Sandler..I could go on an on...sigh. Comedy isn't what it used to be..
‘Saturday Night Live’ star Jan Hooks dead at 57 NBC/NBC via Getty Images Jan Hooks, who died Thursday, recently portrayed Verna on ’30 Rock’ but was perhaps best known for her stint on ‘Saturday Night Live.’ Jan Hooks, who shot to fame in the 1980s on “Saturday Night Live,” died Thursday, according to reports. The 57-year-old actress had been struggling with an undisclosed illness, said TMZ.com, which first reported her death. Hooks died Thursday morning, the website reported. A versatile performer, Hooks worked alongside some of the “SNL” greats and held her own. She was most recognized for her signature skit playing an acid-tongued Southern belle with an improbable twang. Hooks was on the show from 1986 to 1991 and her co-stars included Chris Farley, Dana Carvey, Mike Myers and Dennis Miller. She credited colleague Phil Hartman for getting her past her crippling stage fright. In one of her most popular bits, she played half of the Sweeney sisters with Nora Dunn. NBC/NBC via Getty Ima ...
This was one of my all-time favorite Saturday Night Live sketches. Chris Farley's "Matt Foley.Motivational speaker". You'll be eating government cheese and living in a van DOWN BY THE RIVER!
For some reason I was thinking about Chris Farley today. Just looking at these pictures makes me laugh. The guy who “lives in a van down by the river.” The guy who always used “air quotes” to describe why he didn’t fit the stereotype for TV. And the Chippendale Dance off with Patrick Swayze. I also think his movie “Tommy Boy” is one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. I know a lot of people tried to get him help over the years. But you can only do so much. Farley was only 33 years old when he died on the 60th floor of a building where he lived in Chicago. All that talent gone. My wife was a producer on the Phil Donahue Show during the time Farley was on Saturday Night Live. They both taped out of Rockefeller Center. I asked my wife today what she remembered about him. She said: “He was just the way you would imagine. He was always nice to everyone. He always looked like he was having fun. And he was ALWAYS disheveled.” I miss Chris Farley. He was brilliant.

I was thinking more like Chris Farley from Saturday Night live
We all have our own list of top "Saturday Night Live" skits, and so does Rolling Stone magazine in its new list of the 50 greatest of all time (see rollingstone.com for full list). Its No. 1 is hard to argue with: 1993's Matt Foley, Motivational Speaker, starring the legendary Chris Farley. The scre…
The Left is so ridiculously out- of- control that I have to confess, sometimes when I'm not pulling my hair out from the frustration of their insane governance, I find them extremely entertaining. Like a Saturday Night Live feature, everything coming out of Washington is nothing but a humorous spoof, and the lawmakers are as comical as Chris Farley as a Chippendale dancer. It seems the wind farms are drying out the land in their located areas as well as raising the temperature of the Earth. In other words, so that Liberals can understand, the Greenies are between a rock and a hard place, or a windmill and a carbon emission. You can't make this stuff up!!!
Chris Farley was originally cast as Shrek and even recorded part of the dialogue. However, after his death, the role was given to fellow Saturday Night Live (1975) performer, Mike Myers. Shrek's "air quotes" in the film is an homage to Farley, whose character Bennett Brauer also used air quotes.
24 years ago, A Car Cost $15,472, George H.W. Bush was president of the US, Operation Desert Shield forces left for Saudi Arabia to defend them following the invasion of Kuwait, Congress passed The Americans with Disabilities Act, Nelson Mandela was released from a South African prison, East and West Germany were reunified, The first McDonald's opened in Moscow, Russia, Super Mario Brothers 3 was released on the Nintendo Entertainment System console, selling over 6 million copies, The Space Shuttle Discovery placed the Hubble Space Telescope into orbit, Windows 3.0 was released by Microsoft, The Cincinnati Reds won the World Series, The San Francisco 49ers won Superbowl XXIV, The Edmonton Oilers won the Stanley Cup, Home Alone was the top grossing film, Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton was published, "Vision of Love" by Mariah Carey spent the most time at the top of the US charts, Chris Farley and Adam Sandler joined Saturday Night Live. AND I WAS BORN ON THIS DAY! Thanks to everyone who sent wishes.
If you were a fan of Saturday Night Live in the '90s, you are no doubt familiar with Matt Foley, the motivational speaker character played by the late Chris Farley. Considered to be one of the all-time greatest SNL characters/sketches, it made its debut in 1993 and would make many appearances over t...
Another Tap Dance... Enjoy! Some of you may know of the existence of Christopher Guest, a writer, actor (who most notably played Nigel Tufnel in This is Spinal Tap) and director known for hilarious mockumentaries (comedic fictional films shot with a documentary sensibility) such as Best in Show, For Your Consideration and Waiting for Guffman. What many of you may not realize, was that he also directed one, to my knowledge, non documentary style comedy: 1998's "Almost Heroes", a humorous fictional account of two inept men (Played by Matthew Perry of TV's Friends, and Chris Farley of Saturday Night Live, Tommy Boy and Black Sheep fame) who set out on an odyssey of historical inaccuracies to beat Lewis and Clark to the Pacific Ocean. You may be asking yourself why I would bother writing about some obscure comedy from the 90's? The answer is this: Personally, I find this film hysterically funny and a widely original farce, and feel it is a very underappreciated film. So, let's journey down the road and fi ...
Remembering CHRIS on his 50th: Chris Farley (Would have been 50) 1964 – Died age 33 Date of Birth 15 February 1964 - Madison, Wisconsin Date of Death 18 December 1997 Chicago, Illinois. (opiate and cocaine intoxication, accidental) Birth name: Christopher Crosby Farley / Height: 5' 8" (1.73 m) He grew up in Madison, Wisconsin. Parents: Tom and Mary Anne Farley. / Brother of John Farley and Kevin P. Farley. In all his film vehicles, his brother Kevin P. Farley was used as an extra. He studied theatre and communications on Marquette University and graduated from Marquette University with a degree in communications. After finishing University Chris was in the cast of the Second City Theatre, where he was discovered by the producer of the great comedy-show 'Saturday Night Live' (1975), Lorne Michaels. He also acted in some movies, like "Wayne's World" (1992), 'Coneheads' (1993), 'Billy Madison' (1995) and finally 'Tommy Boy' (1995), with his comic partner David Spade. The duo later made one more movi ...
If I had one wish, it would be for Chris Farley to come back from the dead and do Rob Ford sketches on Saturday Night Live.
Why am I so weird? Carol Burnett, Hee Haw, Late Night with David Letterman, Johnny Carson, Dr. Demento, Ray Stevens, Jerry Clower, David Copperfield, Doug Henning, Kids in the Hall, UCB, Saturday Night Live, The State, MadTV, Laurel and Hardy, the Marx Brothers, Richard Pryor, Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell, Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, Sam Kinison, Monty Python, Sanford & Son, Soap, Three's Company, What's Happening, What's Happening Now, Weird Al, and Pee-wee Herman played a part. Lest I not forget Jane Collins Ward who sang such songs to me as "I see your hiney, all black and shiny." That's a good start into what's wrong with me.
If Chris Farley were alive today, imagine the fun he would have portraying Rob Ford while guest hosting Saturday Night Live. It's as if Rob Ford was made for Chris Farley to lampoon, and yet, Chris Farley is dead. He is probably doing Rob Ford impressions for Gilda Radner, John Belushi, and Phil Hartman, in Valhalla.
Okay. a hmmm.. 1.) Buffy The Vampire Slayer - I just loved this show 2.) Angel TV show - spin off with Angel in t and later Spike. woot 3.) American Horror Story years 1 and 3. (2 was just okay) 4.) Supernatural - two hot brothers. lol 5.) Cheers - loved this bar and its kooky people that went there 6.) Seinfeld - a show about nothing that lasted 9 years, and was actually funny? woot 7.) Monty Python Flying Circus - sucked in and still love every lil skit by them 8.) Father Ted - I'm not religious at all, and this show just flat out made me laugh and laugh 9.) How can I decide between South Park and Family Guy and Archer? (I loved the first 7 or 8 seasons of The Simpsons, but it stopped being AS funny as it was.) 10.) Finally, Saturday Night Live. But with comments. First 4 years (with John Belushi, Chevy Chase, Dan Ackroyd, Bill Murray, Gilda Radner, Steve Martin, etc..). Anything with Eddie Murphy, the Adam Sandler - Chris Farley years, anything with Will Ferrell, Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey, and ...
In the early part of the past decade, I wrote biographies of two famously deceased actors from Saturday Night Live, John Belushi and Chris Farley. Having exhausted the dead, fat comedian genre, I decided to write a somewhat humorous but mostly serious history of racial integration in post-Jim Crow A...
At the house relaxing watching Saturday Night live best of Chris Farley lmao this dude was a straight clown

Da boysss is out tanight at da Granite City Food & Brewery, imitating George Wendt and Chris Farley from da Saturday Night Live, Chicago Bears skit.
Happy birthday, Christina Applegate! The funny actress turns 42 on Nov. 25, so we decided to look back at her funny turn as Cher on "Saturday Night Live." In the coverage of the Mayor Ford scandal, some writers have made the key connection of linking the Ford persona to the late comic Chris Farley. On Saturday Night Live, Farley acted out the fury of a suburban Ralph Kramden, a big lug always in a state of continuous fulmination, a state that also masked a deeper insecurity. Ford marshals that same rage into a frightening populist froth that still has the primal power to hold those who continue to stand by him. But who would have thought that Chris Farley's comedies would serve as a coming attraction for what would later consume Toronto? Some creative soul on YouTube has provided a smoking gun.
Day 19: My complaint for the day: I participate in No-Shave November. This year, my beard is coming in nicely, but I have one of those painful ingrown hairs, or zits, or something right at the base of my mustache. I can't get rid of it, or even touch it, without it hurting, but I don't want to shave part of my mustache to see what it is, or expose it to the world. I wish my facial hair had self-healing powers. My thanks for the day: Season 17 of Saturday Night Live. I still watch on Netflix. David Spade, Chris Rock, Adam Sandler, Victoria Jackson, Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman, Kevin Nealon, Tim Meadows, Mike Myers, Ellen Cleghorne, Melanie Hutsell, Chris Farley & Julia Sweeney were the perfect ensemble cast. This is also my thanks for Day 19 of 1993.
Whenever I see footage of the crack-smoking mayor of Toronto, one thing comes to mind: Chris Farley died too young. What a shame that he isn't still with us, because he was born to play Doug Ford in skits on Saturday Night Live.
Do you think Toronto Mayor Rob Ford patterned his life after Chris Farley's character on Saturday Night Live?
Starting a petition to have Rob Ford host Saturday Night Live. C'mon, he HAS to be the reincarnation Chris Farley. Can't you see him LIVING IN A VAN, DOWN BY THE RIVER!
Canadian Mayor Rob Ford who admitted to crack, reminds me of the late Chris Farley from Saturday Night Live:) miss his comedy:(
Ricardo Rodriguez as Chris Farley from Saturday Night Live is GENIUS love someone with your whole heart …
I just posted Chris Farley doing an impression of Newt Gingrich, not on Saturday Night Live, but in front of Congress and Newt Gingrich. You should watch it...I lived it. When Newt was Speaker I was a young Mom with two kids and life was very manageable. I felt safe then, def when Ronald Reagan was POTUS and even when Bill Clinton was. We were not a perfect Country but I still didn't feel like my Freedom was at risk. George Bush was a good President and he loved his Country which worked for me, he had the Heart of America. This current administration, has no love for America, no laughter and no heart! They are in fact, destroying us. If you can't see that, I am so sorry but I ask you to go inside, to your heart, and ask yourself if where we are is right, good and true to God. My heart hurts for our Country but with proud Men like my Son serving, I will never give up hope for the United States of America!
Adrian (Patrick Swayze) and Barney (Chris Farley) leave the judges an almost impossible choice. Find more Saturday Night Live videos on Yahoo Screen.
I wish Chris Farley could've interviewed him too on Saturday Night Live... I bet John Lennon would've seen Terminator...
John Belushi: Aquarius/Sagittarius: born 24 January 1949; died 5 March 1982; Chris Farley: Aquarius/Pisces: born 15 February 1964; died 18 December 1997; both became stars on Saturday Night Live, & then successful comedy films; both became obese drug addicts who died at age 33 from cocaine & heroin overdose: they each died with the sun in the other’s Mutable moon sign: Belushi died in Pisces/Cancer: double Water; Farley died in Sagittarius/Leo: double Fire; 3+3, 2+4, & 1+5 all add up to 6; they were born very near to eachother: Belushi in Chicago, Illinois, & Farley in Madison, Wisconsin—a suburb of the "Windy City": Aquarius: Fixed Wind, or Air; & now there’s a third Aquarius "SNL Fat Guy": Bobby Moynihan: also with a Mutable moon: Gemini; born 31 January 1977; I heard him talking on the Stern Show about his first time walking out under the SNL stage-lights, & what a crazy buzz (paranoiac/critical perhaps?) & excitement he felt, & continues to feel, each time he walks out; Moynihan has already out ...

I cant stop picturing the Saturday Night Live skit with Chris Farley, David Spade, and Adam Sandler dressed as girls.
The 50 greatest Saturday Night Live skits…where do we even begin? A TV and comedic staple for 30-plus years, SNL has been the jumping-off point for some of the greatest comedians in history; Eddie Murphy, Tina Fey, Chris Farley, and Dan Aykroyd are only a few of the show’s alums who went on to becom...

A compilation of the best moments from Saturday Night Live during the past year.
'Chris Farley pulls an Andy Kaufman today, announcing his return to the cast of Saturday Night Live'.
I'm still hanging on to the faint hope that Rob Ford will stand up and say, "Yes, I'm really Chris Farley, and this has been one long episode of Saturday Night Live/SCTV and after the wrap party, folks can go back to actually governing Toronto!" Let's think about this. Montreal and Toronto -- mayors gone. London, Ontario.
The Chris Farley hosted episode of Saturday Night Live is one of the most depressing things I've ever seen.
Good times good times, watching Saturday Night Live the best of Chris Farley.
Didn't see a full clip of this on Youtube so here it is. Everything courtesy of Saturday Night Live. Find this on the "SNL - The Best of Chris Farley" 1998 DVD. Buy it or rent it.

laughing my *** off on Saturday Night Live best of Chris Farley
"Saturday Night Live" fans might remember Chris Farley's popular Newt Gingrich impression from the mid-90s. It certainly came in handy in many an episode to poke fun at the then-Speaker of the House, but now that Gingrich has his eye on the
Stop saying Saturday Night Live isn't as good as it used to be. It was never that funny. You were just 15 and excited to be up past midnight(I take that back, Chris Farley was hilarious).
Quite possible one of the funniest SNL faux-commercials ever made. Featuring Adam Sandler and the late great Chris Farley. Copyright NBC-Universal.

Saturday Night live with Chris Farley is probably the funniest thing I have ever seen
Oh how we missed you Chris Farley, now get back to making Saturday Night Live watchable, and David Spade bearable.
It's been almost 12 years to the day since Chris Farley died of a drug overdose. Here's a vintage Saturday Night Live clip of Farley doing what he did best: being outrageously funny. Is Bennett Brauer his most repulsive creation? I'll let you be the judge of that.
Just want to kick back with a popeyes meal & watch Saturday Night Live Best of Chris Farley.
Quite possibly the funniest moment ever on Saturday Night Live!
So the producers of the movie Magic Mike say I didn't get hired as an extra because I remind them of the Saturday Night Live skit of Chris Farley trying out for Chip-n-Dales with Patrick Swayze. Ummm. I didn't think my dancing was that bad.
I wish Chris Farley was still alive. So he could play Khloe Kardasian on Saturday Night Live. **shrugs**
I'm not happy with NBC/Hulu cutting almost an hour's worth of material from every late '80s/early '90s episode of Saturday Night Live! Seriously, they lost a wealth of great sketches, especially some excellent work by Chris Farley and Phil Hartman.
Saturday Night Live series page at Hulu.comCorrespondent Chris Farley on the baseball strike.
Saturday Night Live? You mean I'm going to get to meet John Belushi and Gilda Radner and Phil Hartman and Chris Farley and Horatio Sanz?
You have been giving the power to bring both Phil Hartman and Chris Farley back from the dead. The only catch is you have to pick which 2 cast members of Saturday Night Live are going to take thier place. Who would you pick? This has been Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy!
"I live in a van, down by the river!" Chris Farley, Saturday Night Live.
I LOVE my job...my boss and I just sat and reminisced about old Saturday Night Live for the past 30 minutes -- Pat, the Spartan Cheerleaders, Chris Farley trying out for Chippendales with Patrick Swayze, The Church Lady, etc.we were crying by the time the conversation was over! LOL

Not a bad episode to pick for my first Saturday Night Live experience. Steve Martin, Chris Farley, Adam Sandler, David Spade, Mike Myers, Kevin Nealon and Eric Clapton. Beauty
I recently read an old(ish) interview with Tina Fey. She claims that she wrote for Saturday Night Live for a long time, before they let her on the air, but the producers had to sit her aside and tell her that before they could let her on the air she had to lose 30 pounds. Hm, that's interesting. I wonder how much wait Chris Farley had to lose?

Idk why I even wasted space on my DVR for Saturday Night Live. The writing on that show is so horrible now I hate to watch it. I wonder if John Belushi, Phill Hartman, and Chris Farley ever had to put up with that kind of garbage writing
been watching Saturday Night Live for 19 minutes now. can honestly say, haven't even cracked a smile Chris Farley and John Belushi are rolling over in their graves
