LeSean McCoy: Bryce Brown will start for Buffalo Bills Bills trade for Eagles RB Brown Bryce Brown spent most of last season trying to stave off Chris Polk for the primary backup job behind LeSean McCoy in Philadelphia. Now that Brown has been traded to Buffalo, McCoy believes his enigmatic former sidekick will supplant veteran Fred Jackson and electric playmaker C.J. Spiller atop the Bills depth chart: Much like Frank Gore in San Francisco, Jackson has become accustomed to knocking off more ballyhooed competitors in his backfield. He's the reason Marshawn Lynch is in Seattle after all. It comes as no surprise that Jackson is willing to bet on himself in the Bills' running-back derby: Brown is an intriguing flier for general manager Doug Whaley. When McCoy was nursing a concussion late in the 2012 season, Brown showed a rare blend of power and speed en route to 347 rushing yards in his first two NFL starts. That production was the most by an Eagles Running Back in back-to-back games since Hall of Famer St ...

San Francisco 49ers Coach Jim Harbaugh thinks Running Back Frank Gore has plenty left in the tank. Can Gore stay true to his coach's prediction while playing on the wrong side of age 30?
This game is awful. I don't see how Seattle is dominating when they barely made it to the Super Bowl. They won in the last few seconds at Candlestick Park (their home field) vs San Francisco. Well, I'm pretty proud of my team now. Colin Kaepernick, Michael Crabtree, Vernon Davis, Alex Smith & Frank Gore did pretty good against them!

On NFL network, these guys are making bold predictions: (1) Former Rams/Cardinal/Giants QB Kurt Warner says that the points record on Wildcard Weekend will be broken. (2) Former CowBOYS WR Michael "Playmaker" Irvin says that there will be 8TDs passes caught by 8 different receivers in the San Francisco 49ers vs Green Bay Packer game today. (3) Former Colts/Rams RB Marshall Faulk says that 49ers RB Frank Gore will rush for over 200+ yards today in Lambeau Field. (4) Former Buccaneers/Raiders DT Warren Sapp says that 49ers QB Colin Kaerpernick will rush for over 100+ yards today in Lambeau Field. (5) Former 49ers/Lions head coach Steve "Mooch" Mariucci says that K Mike Nugent will set the single game postseason record for most FG made.
49ERS 23 Green Bay 20 Is anyone not looking forward to this game? For that matter, is anyone more excited than Frank Gore? If you've watched the Packers' defense this season, you know it can be run on ... a lot. Green Bay allowed 125 rushing yards per game at 4.63 yards per carry. There is no reason to think Jim Harbaugh and his Niners staff won't use their full stable of backs to pound the Packers' front seven into submission. It's too bad Bruce Miller is hurt. It's not too bad that Colin Kaepernick is playing. So maybe Kaepernick won't put up 181 rushing yards like he did against the Packers in the playoffs last season; he can still certainly run for 50. Utilizing Kaepernick on zone-read plays and option runs will make Green Bay play 11-on-11, not 11-on-10, as the Pack would be able to do if it were Shaun Hill, Jim Druckenmiller or Steve Bono lining up under center for San Francisco. Not to mention (but we'll mention) the fact that limiting Aaron Rodgers' possessions always makes sense, especially whe . ...
6 Seahawks make 2013 PRO-BOWL!! By Associated Press & KOMO Staff HONOLULU - Six Seattle Seahawks were named to the NFL's Pro Bowl Friday. Quarterback Russell Wilson joins Max Unger, Marshawn Lynch, Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, and Cam Chancellor as selections for the game to be played in Honolulu on Jan. 26. The NFL revealed Friday that the Chiefs and 49ers each had eight players voted into the Pro Bowl, including Running Backs Jamaal Charles of Kansas City and Frank Gore of San Francisco. Denver quarterback Peyton Manning was selected to his 13th Pro Bowl after receiving the most votes among fans, 1.43 million. New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees was second among fans with 1.2 million votes. The NFL combines votes from fans, players and coaches to determine 86 of 88 Pro Bowl players; the other two players are long-snappers selected by Pro Bowl coaches. Voting ended Thursday. Under a new format this year, NFL greats Jerry Rice and Deion Sanders will divvy up the players in a two-day draft before the Jan. ...
In their final regular-season game at Candlestick Park, the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Atlanta Falcons with a final score of 34-24 to clinch a playoff berth. Frank Gore rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries.
Tonight's MNF game features the 49ers and Atlanta game. As a long-time (and now former) season ticket holder, Candlestick Park (while a dump!) holds lots of fond memories of some wonderful games from the Bill Walsh, Joe Montana, Ronnie Lott, Dwight Clark, Jerry Rice, Steve Young and too many others to mention era, and the opportunity with Colin Kaepernick and the current team, including Frank Gore, Vernon Davis, Patrick Willis, Anquan Boldin, Justin Smith, Aldon Smith, Joe Staley, Phil Dawson, and Coach Jim Harbaugh for future success. When Jed York first took over the San Francisco 49ers, I admit, I didn't like him much. But he has proven himself to be a good owner and love that he gets advice from Eddie DeBartolo -- THE VERY BEST NFL Team owner. No matter how this season finishes, you all should be proud of what you have accomplished!

Coffee was drafted in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers. He had a promising rookie season, seeing time as a back up to Pro Bowl Running Back Frank Gore. After attending OTAs, minicamp, and two weeks of training camp, Coffee abruptly announced on August 13 that he would retire just before the start of the 2010 NFL preseason. Head coach Mike Singletary stated that sixth round draft pick Anthony Dixon and veteran Michael Robinson would compete for the number 2 Running Back spot and that Coffee’s departure would not be a distraction to the team. However on August 16, the 49ers signed free agent veteran Brian Westbrook as the backup Running Back to a one year deal. The 49ers could move to recoup $621,000 of Coffee’s $828,000 signing bonus. Coffee planned to return to the University of Alabama to finish his degree in Consumer Affairs, with an eye towards graduate school. Coffee has confirmed that the reason he retired was that his heart was never in football and that he believ ...

San FranCISCO -- Frank Gore saw a huge hole with the clock ticking down and his team trailing, and went for it with everything he had. Maybe not a season-saving 51-yard burst, but darn close to it. The San Francisco 49ers are far from ready to hand over their two-year division reign -- and certainly not on their home field, where they rarely lose against the NFC West. Phil Dawson kicked a 22-yard field goal with 26 seconds remaining and the Niners held off the Seahawks 19-17 on Sunday, denying Seattle a chance to clinch the division at Candlestick Park. "We're playing for our lives," wideout Anquan Boldin said. "We're playing playoff football right now. It's win or go home." Gore broke for his big gain with just more than four minutes left, sparking the key 11-play, 76-yard drive that helped the 49ers (9-4) stop the playoff-bound Seahawks (11-2) from grabbing away the West in San Francisco. Dawson's fourth field goal gave him 20 successful attempts in a row, a franchise record topping Joe Nedney's 18 cons ...
ICYMI: See what Colin Kaepernick had to say about the recent criticism by former QB Trent Dilfer. Also see what Frank Gore said about getting the San Francisco 49ers offense back on track vs. the New Orleans Saints.
The Texans lost to Colin Kaepernick, Frank Gore, Vernon Davis, NaVorro Bowman, Justin Smith, Donte Whitner (Donte is changing his last name to Hitner but he can't do that because of the government shutdown), Eric Reid and the San Francisco 49ers 34-3. Matt Schaub threw a pick 6 interception for the touchdown for the 4th game in a row on his 1st pass of the game, setting the all-time NFL record. Gary Kubiak keeping Schaub in the game and leaving him out to dry to get embarrased on national television because Matt threw 2 more interceptions after that and he had 3 on the night. Gary Kubiak is going to make a decision and it will not be a popular decision and I have a feeling that Gary is going to stick with Matthew Rutledge Schaub as the starting quarterback because he believes in Matt as a person and a player. The Texans are now 2-3 on the season and are in a world of trouble right now and it's the 1st time since 2010 that the Texans have been under .500. Let's bring on 2008 Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradf ...
Byes: Minnesota, Pittsburgh, Tampa Bay, Washington     San FranCISCO 35, ST. LOUIS 11 The Niners bounced back in a big way - at least on the scoreboard - and the Rams floundered through another tough performance. But we can’t really fault the Rams for this, as they’ve played two strong defenses the past few weeks in Dallas and San Francisco.   Niners: Colin Kaepernick had a much stronger week, going 15-of-23 for 167 yards and 2 scores, and had 11 yards rushing. You expect Kap to bounce back after a tough week and you can start him against the Texans, especially if you don’t have RGIII or Big Ben this week...Frank Gore was dominant with 153 yards and a score but may find tougher sledding against that Texans D. I rate him as a low against Houston...Kendall Hunter may be a sneaky flex play as he had 11 carries for 49 yards with a score. If he’s on waivers he might be worth taking a flier on, especially if you’re a Gore owner...Anquan Boldin had 5 catches for 90 yards and a score and has cemented ...
Vernon Davis was on the field. Patrick Willis was not. But other members of the 49ers Mount Rushmore, Frank Gore and NaVorrow Bowman in particular, made their mark on Thursday night's Week 4 game in St. Louis. Gore rushed for 153 yards on 20 carries, his first 100-yard game in 2013, and Bowman wreaked havoc in the opposing backfield to lead the 49ers to a 35-11 victory over the host Rams before a nationally-televised audience. The win snapped the visiting team's uncharacteristic two-game skid. San Francisco (2-2, 1-1) and St. Louis (1-3, 1-1) played 10 quarters in two games last season, but this one was decided in four - or before the fourth even started. Wearing their home red jerseys on the road - the Rams chose to wear their whites - no player seemed to be more of a blur than Gore. The 49ers all-time leading rusher contributed runs of 17 yards, 27 yards, 17 yards and 34 yards. That was in the first half alone. Cruising behind fullback Bruce Miller much of the night, Gore had 10 carries for 107 yards be ...
MY WEEK 4 NFL PREDICTIONS! San Francisco 49ers vs St. Louis Rams: 49ers Win Analysis: The 49ers return to form. Frank Gore has a big day on the ground, a week after the Rams defense allowed DeMarco Murray to rush for over 170 yards. Baltimore Ravens vs Buffalo Bills: Ravens Win Analysis: Bills defense got torn apart by Jets RB Bilal Powell last week. Ray Rice & Bernard Pierce will do the same. The Ravens defense hasn't allowed a TD since Week 1. Cincinnati Bengals vs The Official Cleveland Browns: Bengals Win Analysis: The Browns deserve a ton of credit for last weeks win. It was LAST WEEK though. I really like the Browns offense. Josh Gordon and Jordan Cameron appear to be huge weapons in the passing game. They are building blocks for the future. Chicago Bears vs Detroit Lions: Bears Win Analysis: The Lions defense has not been very good this season. I don't see anybody on their team who can cover Brandon Marshall. Also, Jay Cutler and Alshon Jeffrey seemed to be on the same page last week. I expect Ma . ...
After Frank Gore carried the ball just 11 times in the San Francisco 49ers' 27-7 loss to the Indianapolis Colts, the Running Back was steamed at Coach Jim Harbaugh over his limited opportunities.

Coming into Week 3, head Coach Jim Harbaugh had never suffered back-to-back defeats since taking over the San Francisco 49ers in 2011. Unfortunately for Harbaugh, his impressive streak came to an end on Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts. In surprising fashion, offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton’s offense and defensive coordinator Greg Manusky’s defense beat the 49ers at their own game. The Colts’ ground game cranked out 179 rushing yards on 39 carries while securing nine first downs. Additionally, the Colts offense possessed the ball for 36 minutes and 25 seconds whereas the Niners were on offense for 23:35. Ahead of Sunday’s game, few believed Indianapolis would lean heavily on its rushing attack to take down the reigning NFC West champs. Pundits have grown to trust quarterback Andrew Luck and Hamilton’s aerial assault, but they hadn’t seen enough prior to today to believe in Ahmad Bradshaw and Co. Despite trading for first-round Running Back Trent Richardson this past Wednesday, the Colt ...
Kendall Hunter is the future of the Running Back position in the San Francisco 49ers. I am quite sure this will be Frank Gore's final year as a full time starter.
Read the last 2 lines! San Francisco 49ers Picks: FS Eric Reid, DE Cornellius Carradine, TE Vance McDonald, OLB Corey Lemonier, WR Quinton Patton, RB Marcus Lattimore, DE Quinton Dial, OLB Nick Moody, QB B.J. Daniels, OT Carter Bykowski, DB Marcus Cooper. Analysis: The 49ers came into this draft with four pretty obvious needs: Safety, defensive end/line, second tight end and the eventual replacement for Frank Gore. Check, check, check and check. Sure, Reid, Carradine, McDonald and Lattimore might not all hit in the long run, but the 49ers got four strong candidates. The 49ers showed aggression by trading up for Reid, a guy who Coach Jim Harbaugh tried to recruit to Stanford, and still got Carradine, a guy who some people thought San Francisco was going to take in the first round. Lattimore is the truly intriguing prospect as he tries to come back from a horrific knee injury. If he returns to form, the 49ers might have nabbed the best back in the draft. Grade: A+

Baltimore Ravens defensive tackle Haloti Ngata will undergo an MRI on his injured left knee Thursday, according to sources. Ngata was injured in the third quarter of the Ravens' 34-31 triumph over the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl XLVII on Sunday. An integral part of the Ravens' defensive line, the 6-foot-4, 340-pound Ngata was hurt on Frank Gore's 6-yard touchdown run when Niners guard Alex Boone fell into his leg. NFL.com reported that Ngata said after the game that he was unsure whether he tore any ligaments.
Toby Gerhart's final touch in 2009's Big Game resembled a bowling ball obliterating teetering pins, a 29-yard haul that put Stanford on the verge of stealing a massive contest late. Frank Gore's last carry in Sunday's Super Bowl XLVII turned into a rumbling 33-yard dash that put his San Francisco 49ers team on the brink of the title-winning touchdown. The parallels are uncanny. In both situations, head Coach Jim Harbaugh never turned to his stud Running Back thereafter, suddenly shunning his team's massive physical advantage and relying instead on a first-year starting quarterback to daintily finish the job. In 2009, it was clear that California would not have stopped Gerhart, but redshirt freshman Andrew Luck threw two horribly designed passes instead, the last of of which was intercepted to seal the game. Golden Bears 34, Cardinal 28. History repeated itself in 2013 on a bigger stage. After a slow start, the 49ers were gashing the Ravens to the tune of eight yards per carry in the second half. Niners Have Better Chance Than Ravens To Be Back by THE ASSOCIATED PRESS February 05, 2013 New Orleans (AP) — The Baltimore Ravens carried off the Lombardi Trophy. Their beaten opponent has a better chance of doing it next season. San Francisco Running Back Frank Gore insisted the 49ers were the more talented team even after losing 34-31 to the Ravens in Sunday's Super Bowl. The scoreboard said otherwise, but when the conference champions meet at the Meadowlands next February — yes, outdoors in the dead of winter for the NFL crown — the Niners easily could represent the NFC. Again. "I'd say we've got a great group of guys in the locker room, great warriors," Gore said, "and I'm not going to promise anything next year, but we're going to fight to get back here." The toughest fight might be in their own division with Seattle and rapidly improving St. Louis. The Seahawks were the only team to allow fewer points than the 49ers, and their rivalry — including the semi-feud between coaches Jim Harbaugh a ...
Frank Gore says San Francisco 49ers were 'better team' than Baltimore Ravens (Sorry but Gore is crazy!)
Blackout at the Superdome leads to a huge momentum shift in Super Bowl By Frank Schwab | Shutdown Corner But it's hard not to intertwine the blackout and the complete momentum changed that happened afterward. Although the 49ers' first play after the blackout was a failed third down conversion that led to a punt, San Francisco came back in a big way after that. A couple of stops by the defense helped. So did quarterback Colin Kaepernick heating up. He hit Michael Crabtree for a touchdown. After a short punt and a good return by Ted Ginn, Kaepernick's throw to Vernon Davis set up a touchdown run by Frank Gore. The 49ers scored two touchdowns in 2:21 to cut Baltimore's lead from 22 points to only eight points. From the time of the blackout to Gore's touchdown, the 49ers outgained the Ravens 106-16. Once again it was a close game. The 49ers got even closer after Ray Rice lost a fumble, and the Ravens had a running into the kicker penalty on a David Akers' missed field goal. Akers made the second attempt after ...
When the Baltimore Ravens and San Francisco 49ers take the field for Super Bowl XLVII, the Lombardi Trophy won't be the only thing on the line: LEGACIES will be as well. Winning a championship has a way of changing the perception of an athlete, and for these players and these Coaching brothers, the stakes have never been higher. Frank Gore has been so underappreciated throughout his career that it's criminal. He's the leading rusher in 49ers history, but fans speak more fondly of former San Francisco backs Roger Craig, Ricky Watters and even Tom Rathman. Why? Because those players have Super Bowl rings. When you play for an organization as rife with success and championships as the 49ers, you're measured by how much you win, and to be fair, Gore's 49ers haven't been much of a winner since he was drafted in 2005. Now, is that Gore's fault? Certainly not. It wasn't Gore who decided that the immortal J.T. O'Sullivan should start in 2008. It wasn't Gore who selected Alex Smith over Aaron Rodgers in the 2005 d ...
While the Super Bowl spotlight has been on the Harbaugh brothers, Ray Lewis and the opposing quarterbacks, the most fundamental and crucial part of the game is getting overlooked: the running game. There are so many great storylines for this matchup, but Ray Rice or Frank Gore will be the key to having his team hoist the Lombardi Trophy. That being said, I think that Gore will be unstoppable come Sunday. I know this is a bold statement considering that he’s up against a hard-hitting, veteran defense in the Baltimore Ravens, but let’s look at the facts. Other than the 42-13 defeat against Seattle in Week 16 where he racked up only 28 yards, Gore has averaged over 97 yards against top-10 rush defenses in the regular season. Although the San Francisco 49ers haven’t faced tough defenses this postseason (Green Bay, Atlanta), it doesn’t mean that Gore’s production should go unnoticed. In two games, he has rushed for 209 yards and three touchdowns. In his four-game postseason career, Gore has averaged ...

REAL FREEDOMS FADING FAST By Charles Payne, CEO & Principal Analyst 1/30/2013 6:31:42 AM Eastern Time "We finally got the right guys in front of us to lead us. We kept working, and now we're where we want to go. We've got one more." Frank Gore, Running Back San Francisco 49ers Listening to Frank Gore being interviewed after his team had just won the right to play in the Super Bowl, I was struck by a line that he's actually said more than once. In fact, it's hard not to find a champion in any sport that hasn't said their team wanted it more. "Want" is a wonderful thing because it propels us beyond what we think we're capable of and what society says we're capable of. Lots of people dream of making it, but those that want it most more often than not achieve their goal. In his 1941 State of the Union Speech, Franklin Delano Roosevelt presented the world with his "Four Freedoms." For FDR, these were freedoms that people "everywhere in the world" ought to enjoy. But in the second quarter the 49ers’ Frank Gore scored on a 19-yard run and Joe Flacco quickly answered with an 18-yard touchdown pass to Torrey Smith. Later in the quarter, Baltimore added a Ray Rice touchdown to go up 17-10 at halftime. In the third, The Ravens Joe Flacco tossed a 24-yard strike to Anquan Boldin to stretch their lead to 14. San Francisco got an early fourth quarter touchdown from Frank Gore and added a game-tying 12-yard touchdown pass from Colin Kaepernick to Vernon Davis just before the two-minute warning. But Baltimore moved the ball down the field, capping the drive with a 40-yard field goal from Justin Tucker to push the Ravens ah . ...

Gore & Rice: Contrasting Styles, Mutual Respect by THE ASSOCIATED PRESS January 29, 2013 New Orleans (AP) — One guy is a bruiser of a back, just as comfortable running through defenders as around them. The other is more of a slasher, darting this way and that to make people miss, requiring only the slightest opening to bust off a big gain. They may be different in style — Frank Gore of the San Francisco 49ers, Ray Rice of the Baltimore Ravens — but the featured runners at this Super Bowl have at least one thing in common. Plenty of respect for the other guy. "He's like a bull," Rice said Monday evening, shortly after the Baltimore Ravens arrived in the Big Easy. "If you watch Frank Gore, he doesn't take the hits. He actually delivers them because of his low center of gravity." Gore was just as effusive with the praise when talking about his counterpart. "He does it all. I love to watch him," Gore said. "He doesn't have to hesitate to make moves, to make people miss. He can cut and go, cut and go. If ...
Colin Kaepernick and Frank Gore led San Francisco to a record comeback in the NFC Championship Game overcoming a 17-0 deficit to beat Atlanta Falcons 28-24 sending the 49ers to their first Super Bowl since 1995. Packer Maniacs
New Orleans -- Throughout his NFL career, San Francisco 49ers Coach Jim Harbaugh says he's never been around a team as focused as his current team. "I think it's really genuine," Harbaugh said. "I think it's the best focus on unity and winning that I've ever seen or been a part of." Harbaugh was lucky to inherit a fairly veteran team full of talented players when he arrived. Guys like tackle Joe Staley, linebacker Patrick Willis, defensive end Justin Smith, Running Back Frank Gore, safety Dashon Goldson and tight end Vernon Davis were starving for leadership. They were also starving to win. Staley believes the way the team has been put together has been key. "I think (GM Trent Baalke) has been terrific, the entire front office staff. Not only bringing in great players, but good people, a good locker room," Staley said after arriving in New Orleans. "Great character guys. It's important to bring in talented players but you can have all the talent in the world and be, you know, an *** ." Staley went on to s ...
NFL Pro Bowl Preview - AFC vs. NFC (ET) Posted on Jan 24 via Sports Network By John McMullen, NFL Editor (Sports Network) - Super Bowl week kicks off in Honolulu on Sunday when the NFL's best square off in the annual AFC-NFC Pro Bowl at Aloha Stadium. This marks the fourth consecutive year in which the Pro Bowl will be held one week prior to the Super Bowl, thereby removing members of the San Francisco 49ers and Baltimore Ravens, who will meet in Super Bowl XLVII in New Orleans on Feb. 3. The NFC has been hit particularly hard by the absence of San Francisco players since a conference-high nine 49ers were picked to play in Hawaii, marking nearly 21 percent of the conference's 43-man roster. That list included projected starters Joe Staley and Mike Iupati on the offensive line and Justin Smith, Aldon Smith, Patrick Willis, Dashon Goldson and Donte Whitner from San Francisco's imposing defense. Running Back Frank Gore and linebacker NaVorro Bowman also needed to be replaced. Over in the AFC, six Ravens were ...

Congratulations Doug Martin: TAMPA, Fla.— Tampa Bay Buccaneers rookie Running Back Doug Martin, a former Boise State standout, is being added to the NFC Pro Bowl roster, taking the place of San Francisco 49ers runner Frank Gore, who’ll go to the Super Bowl instead. Martin is the Bucs’ first rookie in the Pro Bowl since kick returner Clifton Smith in 2008. Martin, the 30th pick in last April’s NFL draft, ran for 1,454 yards and 11 touchdowns this season. His yards rushing ranked fifth in the league. Gore ran for two touchdowns to help San Francisco beat the Atlanta Falcons 28-24 in the NFC Championship Game Sunday. The Pro Bowl will be played in Hawaii next Sunday.
Frank Gore's efforts in the San Francisco 49ers' NFC Championship Game victory over the Atlanta Falcons didn't go unnoticed by the NFL, which decided he wore his socks last Sunday a little too low to its liking.
In NFL news, the league has FINED San Francisco 49ers RB Frank Gore $10,500 for wearing his socks TOO LOW in thé NFC Championship Game against the Atlanta Falcons.
San Francisco 49ers: Jim Harbaugh explains his exchange with Frank Gore: Harbaugh and Gore had animated discussion...
So, Jack and I both went 1-1 on Championship Sunday with the Niners beating the Falcons and Ravens stunning the Pats. From the minute Atlanta defeated Seattle on a heroic field goal, I knew that San Fran was equipped to dismantle the number one seeded Falcons. "Matty Ice" played a strong game and the Falcons defense forced a monumental turnover in the fourth as Crabtree fumbled the ball on the Goal Line, yet their inexperience showed down the stretch. This was a grand opportunity for the Atlanta Falcons to make their move, as the Seattle Seahawks are only on the rise and as the Niners and Packers are not depleting talent any time soon either. Unfortunately, despite their talent, the Falcons don't have the defensive leadership or the head coach to bring the Lombardi Trophy to Atlanta, at least not yet. San Francisco demonstrated why it was the team to beat all season long, as the 9'ers won the battle at the line of scrimmage, had balance on offense with the awesome Frank Gore on the ground and Kaepernick a ...
Baltimore Ravens or San Francisco 49ers win the Super Bowl? Let's break it down and you be the judge. Ravens QB Joe Flacco has 3,817 yrd, 22 TD, 10 INT vs QB (rookie) Colin Kaepernick 1,814 yrd, 10 TD, 3 INT (keep in mind its only close to half a seaso Ravens Rushing Ray Rice 1,143 yrds 9 td (Flacco has 22 yrd 3 td) Vs Niners Frank Gore 1.214 yrds 8 td (Kaepernick has 415 yrd 5 td) Ravens receiving Pitta 669 yrd 7 td/ Smith 855 yrd 8 td total of 1,524 yrd 15 td Vs Niners Crabtree 1,105 yrd 9 td/ Davis 548 yrd 5 td total of 1,653 yrds 14 td Keep in mind is Kaepernick 1st superbowl and Flacco has more experience with his team plus has experience players. Niners have Williams, Miller, and Akers VS Ravens Sluggs (vet) Lewis, and Reed that weren't mention on stats. My vote goes to Ravens just because of experience plus it be a good way to see Lewis retire with a ring. Althought power rankings have favor the Ninner over Ravens. Ravens ending the season at 10 wins 6 losses and Niners 11 wins 5 losses I still stic ...
(FM97 Sports / AP) — It'll be the Battle of Brothers in New Orleans in two weeks. John Harbaugh's Baltimore Ravens topped New England 28-13 to win the AFC title game and set up a Super Bowl meeting with his brother Jim. It will be the Ravens first Super Bowl appearance in 12 years. Joe Flacco threw three second-half touchdown passes while the Ravens shutout Tom Brady and the Patriots offense after intermission. New England held a 13-6 halftime lead. Brady had been 67-0 at home when leading at the intermission. The Baltimore victory avenged a loss to New England in last year's conference title game. The win extends Ravens' linebacker Ray Lewis' career and gives him a chance to go out on top. He's announced this is his last season. Earlier Sunday, Jim Harbaugh's San Francisco 49ers staged their own comeback, rallying from 17 points down to beat Atlanta 28-24 in the NFC title game. Frank Gore scores on a 9-yard run with 8:23 to go to complete the comeback and send San Francisco to the Super Bowl ...
Super Bowl XLVII – The Brothers Harbaugh By Michael – Louis Ingram BASN / Soul Tree Radio – In the Raw! PHILADELPHIA (BASN – STR/ITR) The NFL Representatives for this year’s Super Bowl will be The San Francisco 49ers and the Baltimore Ravens! Here now the View From the Armchair Press Box: The ‘Niners managed to pick away at the Atlanta Falcons after they raced off to a 17 – 0 lead early in the first half. Quarterback Matt Ryan used his big receivers, Julio Jones and Roddy White with great effectiveness as they ate up a lotta clock while putting points up on the board. Defensively, San Francisco wasn’t so much outplayed as TE Tony Gonzalez and Jones (in particular) was bailing out Ryan with money grabs as they moved the sticks. Colin Kaepernick, clearly under the klieg lights more for being elevated to starter at QB than his overall ability to general, was patient in his approach to exploiting the Falcons’ defense. Opting to beat up the Dirty Birds internally, Frank Gore turned in a yeom ...
ATLANTA (AP) -- Frank Gore's 9-yard run midway through the fourth quarter gave San Francisco a 28-24 lead over the Atlanta Falcons in Sunday's NFC Championship Game. The 49ers, who trailed 17-0 in the first half, took their first lead of the game on a short 38-yard drive set up by Ted Ginn Jr.'s 20-yard punt return. Gore had a 5-yard touchdown run to cap an 82-yard drive to open the second half. The high-scoring pace of the first half continued as the 49ers were impressive to open the second half. Colin Kaepernick had passes of 21 and 17 yards to Randy Moss in the drive. The 17-yarder moved the 49ers to the Falcons 5, setting up Gore's scoring run. Matt Ryan threw three touchdown passes in the first half, including a 10-yard toss to Tony Gonzalez with 25 seconds remaining in the half. The score answered San Francisco's two straight touchdowns as Atlanta led 24-14 at halftime. Ryan also threw touchdown passes of 20 and 46 yards to Julio Jones. Ryan was hurt by two third-quarter turnovers. His pass for Rodd ...
This is my prediction for the AFC/ NFC Championship Games: San Francisco over Atlanta 37-23 -Colin Kaepernick runs for over 100yds and 2 scores. He throws 25 of 37 for 314yds with 2TD passes and 0 interceptions. -Frank Gore rushes 22 times for 114yds and 1TD. -Matt Ryan throws 27 of 48 for 272yds with 2TD and 3INT. -Tony Gonzalez gets 10 receptions for 120yds. -The interceptions Matt Ryan throws will prove costly as the 49ers takes advantage of the turnovers. -The defense of the 49ers might start off well until the 4th Quarter where the Falcons tried to comeback with 10 points scored but was still too much for the Falcons to handle. Baltimore over New England 41-33 -Joe Flacco starts the game with a 40 yard hail & mary for a TD. -Joe Flacco ends the day with 27 of 41 for 350yds with 3TDs and 1INT. -Anquan Boldin catches a decisive TD and ends the day with 8 receptions for 137yds and 1TD. -Torrey Smith catches 5 passes for 90yds but was held without a score. -Ray Rice rushes 20 times for 90yds and 1 score. ...
now realize that San Francisco is the real deal. Props to Colin Kapernick, Frank Gore, Willis and Bowman. We played our hearts out. The turning point was the Jeremy Ross muffed punt. Next year, hopefully Capers is gone, defense gets better, O-Line gets better. Yet again, forever and always. GO PACK GO!
San Francisco Running Back Frank Gore and ex Presidential hopeful Al Gore are not related. A lot of people don't know that.
"I don't like having to face Justin Smith at 70-80% at practice." Frank Gore, RB, San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco over Green Bay 29 - 24. Niners are a field goal favorite at home. How ironic considering kicking has been their fatal flaw all year. Bad kicking has cost them 2 games, and and forced a tie. Harbaugh, after bringing in another kicker to compete with Akers - has decided to go with . well, Akers. Forget the A. Smith, C. Kaepernick question . this game had better not come down to Akers lining up for a kick. Gotta keep the QB clean, tall order I know. This one's gonna be close in the 4th. but , that means Frank Gore time to ice it. First round pick, WR A.J. Jenkins, is Awol ( has he even been spotted sipping gatorade on the sideline ? ) ... so Vernon Davis must reemerge from, shutdown linebacker, *** on Sunday. I'm wincing as I write this but, I'm betting that he does.
The Packers are going to see a similar quarterback in San Francisco. Though Colin Kaepernick only became a starter late in the season, he has rushed 63 times for 415 yards, five touchdowns and a 6.6 yards per carry average. He and leading rusher Frank Gore (1,214 yards, eight touchdowns and a 4.7 average) present a formidable one-two rushing punch.

San Francisco 49ers Running Back Frank Gore and wide receiver Michael Crabtree both fined $10,500 for throwing footballs into the crowd after scoring touchdowns in the 27-13 win over the Arizona Cardinals.
When 49ers receiver Michael Crabtree and Running Back Frank Gore scored touchdowns on Sunday, they decided to throw the ball into the crowd and let a San Francisco fan get a souvenir. That was an expensive decision. The NFL has fined Crabtree and Gore $10,500 each for throwing the ball into the stands.--RF
(9) I AM SURE (3) WAS GONNA POST ON THIS, BUT I COULDN'T WAIT: Nine 49ers are going to this year's Pro Bowl, more than any other NFL team. San Francisco 49ers inside linebacker NaVorro Bowman, free safety Dashon Goldson, Running Back Frank Gore, guard Mike Iupati, outside linebacker Aldon Smith, defensive tackle Justin Smith, tackle Joe Staley, strong safety Donte Whitner and inside linebacker Patrick Willis have been selected to participate in the 2013 Pro Bowl.
SUN 1pm San Francisco 49ers 24 at St Louis Rams 27 Another Game where a last minute Field Goal Situation will give the rams a win. 2 TD's By Bradford to Amendola, and 1 Rushing TD by Steven jackson and 2 FG's by their kicker and The St Louis Rams will upset the 49ers. No QB controversy here Kapernick throws 1 TD to Vernon Davis (His Fave Target) and 2 Rushing TD's by Frank Gore and 1 FG by Akers. However A win by St Louis!!
Smith is no Trent Dilfer and the Niners are no 2000 Baltimore Ravens,Imo,Alex Smith and the 2012 San Francisco 49ers are like more than the 1990 N.Y.Giants when they won the Superbowl on a missed FG by Scott Norwood against the Buffalo Bills. That's right,I compare Alex Smith to Jeff Hostetler after he took over the starting job ,Frank Gore is like Otis Anderson and our Defense is like what the N.Y.Giants were back in 1990.Jeff Hostetler was just a game manager like Alex Smith and their running game was the key to their offense just like our 49ers and of course their Defense was their strength,Just like ours.Honestly that is how i see our San Francisco team this year,With that said The Gmen won a Superbowl with that team,I feel and believe we can do the same with our team this season.Let's Go Niners.
The Rams play at San Francisco this afternoon. The 49ers are the class of the NFC West, and I doubt seriously that the Rams can pull off an upset.Alex Smith and Michael Crabtree have settled into the Jim Harbaugh system, and the ground game featuring Frank Gore from the U,and Oklahoma State's Kendall Hunter is one of the best in the NFL. Two Mizzou boys,Aldon Smith and Justin Smith, anchor a very good defense.
Yessa what a night. I won in my fantasy league thanks to Crabtree, Aldon Smith and Frank Gore. I'm now 8-0. Thank you Niners. And we go up two games in the NFC West. And Randy Moss finally got that TD. Like I said. San Francisco is getting two Championships. See you in February.
I need Frank Gore and Michael Crabtree to go ham, San Francisco's D to suck, but not give up any points to Larry Fitzgerald.
San Francisco 49ers RB Frank Gore (ribs) is listed as probable for Monday night's game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Frank Gore leads San Francisco 49ers over Seattle Seahawks + more Seattle Seahawks News
San Francisco 49ers Running Back Frank Gore had a big night with 131 rushing yards and 51 receiving yards in a 13-6 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.
San Francisco 49ers Running Back assures he will be OK by the time his team takes on the Arizona Cardinals on Monday Night Football.
Wildcat with San Francisco is great. Frank Gore and Brandon Jacobs run over everybody.

My sister has 2 San Francisco 49ers Jersey for sale if anyone is interested. 1. Is a red Steve Young jersey, the other one is a Frank Gore jersey. They were both worn 1 time. They are men's jerseys. Let me know if your interested. Thanks.
just for my friend danny Peyton Manning made an enormous mistake not signing with the 49ers. It’s obvious Manning needs help. Jim Harbaugh can hide a quarterback with a weak arm. Alex Smith is exhibit A. Plus, the San Francisco defense, Frank Gore, Vernon Davis and Michael Crabtree give a weak-armed QB more places to hide.
Season Outlook: Ranked # 1 The San Francisco 49ers stay atop the power rankings after a second straight win against a 2011 playoff team. The Green Bay Packers couldn't move the ball against the 49ers defense, and neither could the Detroit Lions. Holding the powerful Lions offense to field goals just goes to show the sheer might of the San Francisco defense. If Green Bay and Detroit can't score on the 49ers, who can? What's more terrifying for opponents is that the San Francisco offense is much better this year. Michael Crabtree is playing like the Top 10 draft pick that he was, Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter are a dynamic duo at Running Back, and Vernon Davis provides the spark as a game-changing tight end. The 49ers might not go undefeated, but they are undoubtedly the team to beat right now.
Never mind. Chipper Jones with another RBI. M. Bourne scores and Jason Heyward is on third. And in San Francisco... TOUCHDOWN 49RS! Frank Gore rush for 1 yard and the TOUCHDOWN.
Almost Game time @ 5:20. Detroit (1-0) at San Francisco (1-0). The 49ers held off Detroit 25-19 last season as Alex Smith threw a go-ahead fourth-down TD pass with 1:51 remaining. The postgame handshake turned into a minor scuffle between coaches Jim Harbaugh and Jim Schwartz after Harbaugh's exuberant approach at midfield. San Francisco RB Frank Gore ran for 141 yards in the victory.
San Francisco 49ers’ Frank Gore is an Elite Black Sheep: Fan Reaction (Yahoo! Contributor Network): When you thi...
San Francisco looked like they are picking up right where they left off last season. Frank Gore is still a force to be respected but the 2nd and 3rd RB's were also great. The Niners have one of the best offensive lines in the game and Alex Smith and his receivers were on point too. The Niners defense was spectacular too, Patrick Willis has to be the top Linebacker in football. The Niners are dangerous because they are very balanced when it come to offense and defense. If you have been following me u know I also like Denver and I think Denver is the better team but if they were to play each other this week I think that San Francisco would beat Denver but give Peyton Manning more time and they win in the Superbowl.
Frank Gore rushed for 112 yards and a touchdown, Alex Smith threw for a pair of scores and San Francisco's defense bottled up Aaron Rodgers and the host Packers for most of the game to win a matchup of expected NFC powers. tchup of expected NFC powers.
Q4 9:06. Alex Smith pass to Frank Gore to the San Francisco 29 for 1 yard. 4th & 1.
the San Francisco 49ers got a dogass team. Randy Moss, Frank Gore, Brandon Jacobs & Mario Manningham

Side Note, Frank Gore and Brandon Jacobs, San Francisco's run game is gunna be something fierce this year smh
San Francisco 49ers: Kendall Hunter has more fantasy points than Frank Gore. My thinking: Gore is done. Hunter just a chance
Gotta show them one more time bc this team totally rocks man So here is the 2012 Skull Crushers fantasy Football Team roster by position QB Ben Roethlisberger-pit,Alex Smith-sf RB Michael Turner-atl,Frank Gore-sf,Pierre Thomas-no WR Mike Wallace-pit,Victor Cruz-nyg,Eric Decker-Den TE Jermichael Finley-gb,Owen Daniels-hou w/r Devery Henderson-no K Garret Hartley-no,Matt Bryant-atl DEF San Francisco,New England Not a bad squad at all,we are coming to dominate this league!

Frank Gore takes the field for the game. The San Francisco 49ers played the New York Giants in the NFC Championship Game at Candlestick Park in San Francisco, Calif., on Sunday, January 22, 2012.
If this were 2008, Brandon Jacobs would be a perfect addition to the San Francisco 49ers . Unfortunately, the 2012 version of Jacobs basically does the same things as Frank Gore , just not as well...
Disgraced defensive coordinator Gregg Williams , suspended indefinitely by the NFL for his role in the New Orleans Saints ' bounty scandal, urged his players to take shots at the head, knees and ankles of specific San Francisco 49ers before a playoff game in January.
The following is audio recorded by filmmaker Sean Pamphilon before a game against the San Francisco 49ers. After listening to it, you have to wonder how either Payton or Williams could ever coach again.
Jacobs is joining Randy Moss and former Giants teammate Mario Manningham as offensive additions in San Francisco. The 49ers will remain a run-dominant offense, with Jacobs perhaps handling the majority of the short-yardage and goal-line work, putting a dent in Frank Gore's fantasy value. Should Gore miss time, though, the more explosive Kendall Hunter would remain the back to own. Anthony Dixon appears to be the odd man out of the backfield picture.
