Amazing cast for Very much looking forward to it.

Extremely pleasant surprise seeing in
As if having a surprise episode on, it's also got Richard Schiff guest starring! (I saw him as Toby in 'The West Wing'!)
I always feel cheated when Richard Schiff is in a show and he doesn't turn out to be the cunningly manipulative villain.
was wonderful in Parfumerie at the Annenburg - you all should see it!

keeps guesting in tv shows I watch, & I keep having to resist thinking of him as Toby Ziegler. I liked Toby, at least?

Last night I watched the latest episode of Bones, featuring a moving performance by Richard Schiff as the father of the victim. Today, I decided on a whim to finally "get into" The West Wing, which is, as it turns out, Richard Schiff's "known for" title on IMDB. Huh.

I have almost finished watching the final episode of "The West Wing", a teleseries that ran for five years between 1999 and 2006 ; a total of nearly 150 episodes. The trials, travails, success, defeats and the overwhelming responsibility of the office of President of United states was wonderfully captured by a set a talented actors for the mini screen. A mature, enlightened citizenship , such as one found in America requires a high quality of bureaucracy to run the country; to make those tough moral, economic and social decisions that can alter the basis of power. A country found in freedom is very difficult to govern. This is a lesson that history has taught on every page since Grecian times. Each episode of this epic series brings forth the tremendous amount of courage, discipline and clear thinking that is required to govern such a free nation in a manner that embellishes the constitution of America. Democracy is a great experiment and does provides an open atmosphere for society to blossom, if the r . ...
Well, well, well! Hi There AfroNerd Followers and Science Fiction Fans of all ages. Once again I have a Link-Blog chock full of interesting stories around my maniacal interests. But first, some quick TV points:   Some shows just get under your skin and are able to make you emotional at a moment's notice. Bones is that type of show for me. Richard Schiff guest starred as a professor equivalent to Brennan who just lost his gymnast daughter. Their final two scenes together during this episode just un-dammed my waterworks as the walls between their intelligence and emotion fell with the "life formula" explained. You will just have to watch.. I can't explain it well enough to honor it here...   One of the things I am enjoying immensely on Sleepy Hollow is the depiction of the Irving Family. Orlando Jones as Frank is doing some of the best work of his career as the Dad consumed by his job but Jill Marie Jones is absolutely stealing the scenes as his estranged wife Cynthia. I know this is a supernatural series ...
The Little Drummer Boy Synopsis The lyrics tell the apocryphal story of a poor young boy who, unable to afford a gift for the infant Jesus, plays his drum for the newborn with the Virgin Mary's approval. Miraculously, the baby, although a newborn, seems to understand, manages to refrain from an outburst of crying (as one might expect of a drum being played near a newborn infant) and smiles at the boy in gratitude. The story is somewhat similar to an old twelfth-century legend retold by Anatole France as Le Jongleur de Notre Dame (French: Our Lady's Juggler), which was adapted into an opera in 1902 by Jules Massenet. In the French legend, however, a juggler juggles before the statue of the Virgin Mary, and the statue, according to which version of the legend one reads, either smiles at him or throws him a rose (or both, as in the 1984 made-for-television film). Television special In 1968, Rankin-Bass produced a stop motion animated Christmas television special based on The Little Drummer Boy. The film name ...
I was just utterly blown away by what has to be the greatest piece of scripted entertainment I've ever seen. Spoiler alert. It was the latest episode of the TV series Bones, called The Spark in the Park. A math professor played by Richard Schiff loses his daughter to murder. In the endscene, Bones finds him at his office chalkboard having written a bunch of equations and formulas. Bones noted that each one mathematically represented a different motion, and she figured out that the professor was describing his daughter's life. For instance, one equation for circular motion on a flat plane was the girl figure skating. This is brilliant and poignant writing. It needs to win an Emmy.
I may have finally given up the ghost on Bones. This last episode with Richard Schiff as the physicist dad of the deceased was so amazingly anti-intellectual I wanted to spit.
So, one of my favorite actors from The West Wing, Richard Schiff was on Bones this week - he gave an amazing performance...

Interesting way to end my birthday, watching Taking of Pelham 123. The original with Walter Mathau and Robert Shaw. Not the remake with Richard Schiff and Goren from L&O: CI (I can't spell his name) or the remake of the remake starring Travolta and Denzel Washington.
Great news, great series! Looking forward to more of both shoes!!
Well deserved, and a long time coming. Congratulations Bobby!

It's fun rewatching Toby Ziegler has always been my favorite character. Richard Schiff kicks ***
It makes me strangely happy to know that people have written slash fiction about Martin Sheen and Richard Schiff.
If someone had told me Richard Schiff was in 'Man of Steel', U'd have watched it a LOT sooner.
1. What do you propose to do? [20 words] Richard Schiff stands at the intersection of news, media, networks and the future. He will unlock the answers, whatever they might be. 2. Is anyone doing...
just had Richard Schiff in *** s Sporting Goods and got to talk to him for a little bit. That made my day.
Yep. Richard Schiff. Bobby Cannavale. Really good cast. Would have been brilliant.
Just met the actor Richard Schiff. I asked him how it felt to be ripped apart by 2 t rex courtesy of Steven Spielberg...his reply "pretty great but not as good as working with Jeff Golfblum."
Dulé Hill & Richard Schiff go head to head over which is the hottest, clearly Bradley Whitford would win
Richard Schiff (Toby of West Wing fame) working for Ford management in Made in Dagenham.
I'd really like to see Timothy Busfield and/or Richard Schiff guest star on The Newsroom at some point. The best of the WW bunch, IMO.
Man of Steel : the film that boldly dares to ask, "What if Superman was an a-hole?" (Except they already sorta did that and it was called Hancock.) Kevin Costner as Pa Kent is just wasting film. The idea that Clark is torn about is powers is something that is OK to play with, but then they throw that whole idea out of the water when Zod shows up. Larry Fishburne as Perry White is also wasting time -- why would a self-respecting editor who has fairly conclusive proof that aliens walk among us not be yelling STOP THE PRESSES!? Also : Richard Schiff from The West Wing, what are you DOING IN THIS MOVIE? guh. So many missed opportunities and bungled moments.
MAN OF STEEL (2013) Director: Zack Snyder Writer: David S. Goyer Producers: Christopher Nolan; Charles Roven; Emma Thomas; Deborah Snyder Cast: Henry Cavill; Amy Adams; Michael Shannon; Russell Crowe; Kevin Costner; Diane Lane; Laurence Fishburne; Antje Traue; Ayelet Zurer; Christopher Meloni; Henry Lennix; Richard Schiff; Michael Kelly Man of Steel, the long-awaited Superman reboot, is finally here and it rocks. The Zack Snyder-directed film revisits Superman’s origin, but unlike Batman Begins it’s not quite as slavish to justifying every single aspect of the character’s mythology. We find out why Kal-El (Henry Cavill) has the Fortress of Solitude, why the costume is the way it is, but at a certain point you just accept the fact that this is an alien on Earth and you run with it. While certainly a superhero movie, Man of Steel is first and foremost a science fiction drama about a humanoid alien trying to find his place in our world and dealing with humanity’s reaction to his existence. More than ...
I had no clue Richard Schiff (Toby Ziegler in West Wing) had a minor role in Deep Impact. He played the father of a boy named Leo.
Please support and help promote our next benefit screening of DECODING ANNIE PARKER for FORCE in Chicago on July 25th. The film stars Helen Hunt, Samantha Morton, Aaron Paul, Maggie Grace, Alice Eve, Rashida Jones, Corey Stoll, Bradley Whitford and Richard Schiff. Here's the trailer. Let us know what you think!
A cast with Richard Schiff, Kevin Costner, Russell Crowe, Amy Adams, and Laurence Fishburne was just wasted on this nonsense.
The new movie from a David S. Goyer and Christopher Nolan story, directed by Zak Snyder, starring Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Kal-El/Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Russell Crowe as Jor-El, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Richard Schiff as Dr. Emil Hamilton, and Lawrence Fishburne as Perry White.   So, after seeing the movie once, I thought it was good not great.  Nothing particularly bad, but not as awe inspiring and awesome as I would have liked.  Many scenes felt rushed, and that often makes the action feel consquence-less and thus less epic.  I liked the first part leading up to the official Superman reveal more than the later parts, but it was fine.   After the second time, I thought it was much better.  I understood the choices the creative team made and why they had the characters do what they did.  Can't say I wouldn't have done some stuff different, but there you go.   Best things: actual action, Superman fighting people, joy of ...
Seriously, whoever got Kevin Coster, Christopher Meloni, Richard Schiff, and Michael Shannon in the same film is BRILLIANT.
Man of Steel casting overall was amazing. I appreciated even the bit parts were accomplished actors that have history playing serious material. Lawrence Fishburne looking intensely at the world ending around him is just something special you don't get with an unknown. I liked being able to pin accomplished serious actors to the height of the scale. Richard Schiff as Emil, Russell Crowe as Jor-El, Amy Adams as Lois, Diane Lane as Martha, Kevin Costner (yeah, I know) as Jonathan Kent. You have to believe these characters have the lives I've read about for 20 years now. Having serious actors as opposed to say the early 20-something bikini girl from Blue Crush Kate Bosworth as Pulitzer Prize winning Lois Lane really add to the experience of making me see intelligence in the people I'm looking at even when they aren't saying lines. That touch of finding the right people for the mood of the project really was appreciated by this fan. I mean someone from The freaking West Wing was in my Superman movie. Yes, plea ...
So Alessandro Juliani (Gaeta on "Battlestar Galactica") played Dr. Emil Hamilton on "Smallville." In "Man of Steel," he has a small role as Officer Sekowsky opposite Richard Schiff, who plays ... Dr. Emil Hamilton! Coincidence?? And for BSG fans, Tahmoh Penikett also has a small role.
The West Wing fans...have you heard about this webseries? Chasing the Hill starts WW alums Richard Schiff, Joshua Malina, and Melissa Fitzgerald, among others. I haven't seen it yet, but I'm looking forward to checking it out soon. Episodes are pay-per-download, but the price is pretty reasonable.
I love that Richard Schiff is Snow White's father in Once Upon a Time. Was hoping to get a Toby Ziegler-esque quip from him at some point.
Richard Schiff is in Man of Steel. I would be much more excited to see it if I knew he was playing Toby Ziegler.

"Fire With Fire" on Netflix isn't bad. But you can tell that they had certain big name actors in for 2-3 day shoots. Bruce Willis, Vincent D'onofrio & Rosario Dawson, Richard Schiff (Toby Ziegler from West Wing), Josh Duhamel (Transformers, Las Vegas) are others. Basically, while the movie script was interesting, the trouble with it is that you can tell all of the actors are disconnected. And the film seems rushed. Like they only had 3 takes with Willis saying his BS and only had D'onofrio do his "Christopher Walkin" thing in the police lineup once or twice. Shame too, because its a good flick that could have been something better. Maybe that's why it went straight to Blu-Ray & Netflix Instant.

Directed by Bill Guttentag. With Rob Lowe, Jamie Chung, Julie Bowen, Richard Schiff. A political strategist juggling three clients questions whether or not to take the high road as the ugly side of his work begins to haunt him.

RICHARD SCHIFF IN Shakespeare Theatre Company'S NEXT SHOW. I'm not usually star struck but when The West Wing and Michael Kahn collide...
A change of time. Sorry. If you have noting better to do, I'm talking to old friend Jay Thomas on Sirius/XM Stars Too, channel 104 at 1:30 PST, 4:30 EST about Standup Guys. Jay's in the book. Jay spent many days at the Improv and playing football with us comics. He even took trips to NJ to play in my hometown. He was a really good football player. Some of the guys who played were Larry David, Glenn Hirsch, Bobby Kelton, Barry Diamond, Joe Piscopo, Keenan Wayans, Chris Albrecht, Bob Wuhl, Buddy Mantia, Howie Klein, Joe Rock, Brant Von Hoffman, Richard Cantor, and Warren Bloom. I'm not sure if Mark Schiff with us. When he did anything with us he was usually unforgettable. I'm sure there were others that I can't remember off hand. I apologize to those guys.
Rob Lowe is starring in a movie, about politics, with former West Wing co-star Richard Schiff... People it is official, wishing really hard for things DOES work.
About two years ago my father introduced me to The West Wing. As a senior in PoliSci, you are the reason why I want to write

Watched some West Wing last night. If you told me was nephew, *** I'd believe it.
thanks. I was not near enough to the stage door to get a good pic. Unsung star of the show.
I could watch any of episodes a thousand times and still be blown away by the acting of
Richard Schiff is an outstanding actor.
Time for in ChasingTheHill methinks! Have West Wing on in the background while working.
Crikey! Looking forward to that! Was excited about the inauguration. Need to get that over here in Blighty
That moment when you realize Josh Lyman is Eric from Billy Madison .
A trek to NYC Sat. to see the great in seems like an experience worth a temporary monetary indiscretion
I've been watching a lot of the first season of The West Wing. Why am I finding Timothy Busfield so darned cute in this? *chuckle*

Tonight: An evening of frivolous light entertainment at Broadway's "Glengarry" with Pacino and Richard Schiff. Let's hope I have more fun than Mamet's characters will.
Photos from the stage door at Glengarry Glen RossSchoenfeld Theater with Al Pacino, John C. McGinley (of Scrubs), Bobby Cannavale of Boardwalk Empire and Richard Schiff of The West Wing. A terrific performance, superb direction, very glad I got to see it.

While working the auto show, now moderating radio calls with Richard Schiff (Toby Ziegler of the West Wing). Great client and lots to say about his upcoming work at the Shakespeare Theatre Company.
Waited around like a little groupie and got Richard Schiff, Bobby Cannavale and Al Pacino's autograph! Quite star struck, I was!
It has been a while since I posted here, due mostly to my inability to type but I wanted to first thank the cast, crew, and the entire artistic team for MIDSUMMER which closes today after its extended run. It is a difficult play to pull off and this production teemed with imagination, smarts and talent. Our next show O'Neill"s HUGHIE is in rehearsal at present in NYC to accommodate Richard Schiff"s performing schedule for GLENGARRY. Doug Hughes is directing and I'm glad he's back with us, his first time since LITTLE FOXES. THE GREAT GOD PAN at Playwrights Horizons is a smart and sensitive play beautifully directed and played brilliantly by everyone in the cast - probably my vote for best all round OB production since TRIBES., and it is so infinitely superior to the spate of mediocre to poor Broadway shows that have opened this season (not of course VIRGINIA WOOLF). The film AMOUR is a masterpiece, difficult to watch but so true, unsentimental and JL Trintignant, Emanuelle Riva and Isabelle Huppert are su ...
Okay. Today's sightings from our favorite little bar hideaway. West Wing fans.. Dule Hill and Richard Schiff are here. Bunch of the cast of Once. Meryl Streep's daughter, the actress.
Bouncing between West Wing & Warehouse 13 - how is it Richard Schiff & Saul Rubinek have never played brothers?
My dream for 2013 is that Richard Schiff and Mandy Patinkin co-star in an off-broadway play titled "Beards!"
Last night was sublime - Glengarry Glen Ross on Broadway with none other than Pacino, Richard Schiff, John C Mcginley et al. Breathtaking.
Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Kevin Costner, Laurence Fishburne, Chris Meloni, Tahmoh Penikett, AND Richard Schiff are all in Man of Steel?
I'm loving the fact that Richard Schiff is playing Dr. Emil Hamilton!
I like the one frame featuring Christopher Meloni and Richard Schiff.
Hm, Kevin Costner instead of Glenn Ford and was that Richard Schiff?
As a long-time fan of Stephen Tobolowsky as both a character actor ("Bing!") and as a brilliant podcast host (and now author of a book, "The Dangerous Animals Club," inspired by said podcast), I was excited to see him added to the cast of "The Mindy Project," replacing Richard Schiff as Dr. Marc Shu...
I don't get it. Bruce Willis. Rosario Dawson. Richard Schiff. Josh Duhammel. Kevin Dunn. Vincent D'Onofrio. Vinnie Jones. Quinton Jackson. And they STILL can't pull off a decent movie. Fire with Fire = 1/10. Lame.
Fair point. On another note, you should cameo on our show: Lawrence O'Donnell, Gov. Gray Davis,Ed Rendell,Richard Schiff &more
Just in time for Richard Schiff!! This IS the best episode of the West Wing!
Seeing Glengarry Glen Ross tonight on stage at the Schoenfeld, with Richard Schiff, Bobby Canavale, and some guy called Al Pacino.
So, today I saw Al Pacino in Glengarry Glen Ross. I had no idea what it was about, but it was a front row seat and I had to take advantage. What an amazing show. Also in the cast was John C. McGinley (ER, Platoon, Wall Street), Richard Schiff (West Wing and more than 50 films) and Bobby Cannavale (currently in Boardwalk Empire). I was wowed!
Richard Schiff, eloquently writes about "what could have been...and what could be." Marine One via
For the record I would watch Bradley Whitford, Allison Janney, and Richard Schiff laughing and messing up their lines FOR FOREVER if offered
At Glengarry Glen Ross with Al Pacino, Bobby Canavale, Richard Schiff and John C. McGinley! Sitting in the back with Pete, Nancy & Don :D
Current TV host John Fugelsang and "The West Wing" actor Richard Schiff explain how style wins debates. "The candidate who looks like he's having the most fu...
Me and Richard Schiff right after I took pic of him and Elvis Costello.
One of my favorite Q & A's ever. Big thanks to Richard Schiff.
today's ABC News/ The Note: –ABC’s RICK KLEIN GOES HOLLYWOOD. “The third episode of the web-based series “Chasing the Hill” includes appearances by some of the nation’s most recognizable political figures and news personalities, including ABC’s own Rick Klein. Klein plays a debate moderator in the latest installment, which also features former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell and former California Governor Gray Davis. Some scenes for this episode were shot in Charlotte during the Democratic National Convention. Former Democratic National Committee Chairman Terry McAuliffe also appears. BACKSTORY: “Chasing the Hill” follows the reelection campaign of a Democratic representative from California, played by Emmy-nominee Robin Weigert (HBO’s Deadwood) struggling to fend off a primary challenge and is aided by powerful political operative Charlie Kowles, played by Emmy-winning actor Richard Schiff (The West Wing). Check it out:
Aaron Sorkin on writing the West Wing - "The most absurd note I’ve ever gotten:Sorkin: At the end of the second episode of The West Wing, a U.S. Air Force jet is shot down when it accidentally wanders into Syrian airspace. NBC got an angry letter from the Arab-American Anti-Defamation League and a few episodes later I had Toby (Richard Schiff) make a reference to Hebrew slaves in Egypt 5000 years ago I got a note from the legal department, now sensitive to the issue, asking me to show my research. So I sent them Exodus"
Video on You've heard Richard Schiff defend PBS and Big Bird on the West Wing using Aaron Sorkin's words. In a Last Word exclusive, we present Big Bird's best friend Richard Schiff in his own words.
Cenk asks actor/director Richard Schiff, best known for playing communications adviser Toby Ziegler on "The West Wing," how he would have coached President Obama for a stronger performance in the first debate with Mitt Romney.
'West Wing' actor Richard Schiff on 'I think the president was taken off guard by the audacity of the lies'
Am I the only one who sees Richard Schiff as Toby Ziegler no matter show he is on?
Not used to "Toby" (Richard Schiff formerly of The West Wing) being the bad guy. Watching season opener of NCIS.
Is it just me or does Louis C.K. look like a mix between Richard Schiff and Bradley Whitford?
I miss Toby's soulfulness so badly. Listened to a Richard Schiff podcast to get me through the London marathon.
Bailee Madison as Young Snow White? Excellent casting. Also, ♥ Barbara Hershey and always nice to see Richard Schiff on any show.
This makes sense to me...Biden feels protective of PBO
Richard Schiff stops by the NewsBeast set to talk about one of his favorite politicians, Joe Biden. Biden, says Schiff, sees Obama as his little brother, and that's why he gets so emotional when talking about the president.
Why is this attitude not part of the real world? An absolutely brilliant piece!
Sharon always does such a fine job. Terrific actress. Really nice person. Way to go Sharon.
“Just watched in her new project really good. Sharon and just great!!!” Thx!
First day, Glengarry rehearsal on Bway. We talked about the original geniuses. Ode to you my friend.
you seriously are so awesome! I just want to be friends with you! Come to Texas!
Had to be said. By the way, excellent point about Donny BBall. And the '01 Yanks were a class act, for sure.
wow nice sucking up. Will always be Toby Ziegler too me
You're an inspiration, sir. The reason I fell back in love with acting. I thank you.
love Roger Maris but fave Donny Bball. Have to say '01 favorite even with loss. Team repped NYC so well during tough times
is the greatest and most under appreciated actor working today. Period.
Can I ask who your favorite all time Yankee is, or which year was your fav? Mine is '77 Yanks, but fav player is Roger Maris
In the play, you make the roll of Alan Arkin, i saw the movie
Muchas gracias i just want to know. thanks
“There is free health care in America?” That would be Canada
There is free health care in America?
Am I correct? Did I hear the dulcet tones of one Richard Schiff in a radio drama? Any more out there or coming up?
I must of missed it in interviews. What part do you have in Glengarry? Williamson would be my first guess.
de nada. but I guess you're trying to say Muchas gracias which means thank you very much. GENIO!
It is sad but no output. LOL. Keep going. you are amazing like Al
All my techie friends may enjoy following the West Wing's who is is starting up Glengary Glenross rehearsals with Pacino.
See, I dig that. :) I'm a fan of actors because they, you know - act. Being the same all the time is a bore.
Walt Disney Collectibles and Gifts, Disney Figurin
don't do much on it. But show Gould be good
So excited to see on The Mindy Project!
have a great one, wish I could be there to see it
If there was just one show I could see this season I would want it to be this one! Luckily I'm not limited to just one show.
Totally awesome! Hope the rehearsals go well & you enjoy a stay in NYC. Gorgeous weather this week. Seeing play in 2 months.
Not one of the big ones. Maybe half a tonsil. Let's not go mad here eh?
I sold my appendix, pancreas, both kidneys & adrenal gland to get my tickets.
