One of several speeches from Paul today as he officiated at the funeral for the NHS procession round privateer companies in Huddersfield Town Centre. Here outside the Virgin Media shop - Virgin Clinics already have a big chunk of NHS services and as a private company have a single, over-riding legal responsiibility - no, not to treat patients, but to maximise return on investment (i.e., profits) for their shareholders, including of course tax-exile Richard Branson.

Richard Branson on the importance of social media:
Richard Branson, "how to train your employees" Q: When a company is small (just 30 people), what's the best way to train new staff and help them to remain passionate about their work? -- Name withheld, Arizona There is always something new to learn. The day you stop learning is the day you stop living. We should all pick up new skills, ideas, viewpoints and ways of working every day. That said, the first goal of any new business is simply to survive -- you need to prove that your business model works. One of the best ways to do this is by hiring excellent people who believe in your company and share your goals, and then by helping them to learn and improve their skills. This isn't optional: If your best people aren't growing in their careers as your business gains traction and expands, they will quickly lose enthusiasm for their work. And before you know it, you'll be dealing with unsatisfied customers as well as unsatisfied employees. Your employees' desire to learn gives you and other entrepreneurs a co ...

Sir Richard Branson - Owner of Virgin Group which includes Virgin Atlantic Airlines, Virgin Cola, Virgin Records, Virgin Media and much more. His airline alone has an annual income of $5 Billion (United States Dollars). In the 1990's, I met on one of his Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet's traveling as any other passenger. He is so unassuming and dresses very simple. Here is is on a bicycle, some thing the powerful and mighty will never dream of doing. What they fail to realize is that, the simpler and less complicated you are, the healthier you are. In Africa, big man foot no dey touch ground, always in stiff clothing, always in air-conditioned cars, offices and bedrooms, no exercise and most times prisoners to themselves .Loving the art of creating unnecessary tension around themselves, the lighter side DNA seems to have evaporated from them. No time to flush out stress, crack healthy jokes, spend time with the family or just relax. Small, "Noko Fio" they got, and the whole world must come down on us. Check Branson ...
