Ok, brace yourselves. Just saw this on Lawrence O'Donnell's show of a quote made today by a Republican Senator. "What a tragedy it would've been if America had never gotten to see the leadership of Barack Obama". Who said that? Rand Paul. The wonders never cease.
PLEASE HELP SENATOR AYYOTE --- defend 2nd Amendment! Michael Bloomberg and Barack Obama want to take me out, and I need your immediate help to fight back. Let me get right to the point. New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg's anti-gun group just went live with nearly $700,000 worth of television ads attacking me for voting against a bill that would have expanded a broken background check system. In fact, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said yesterday that the "Republican Senator from New Hampshire has been -- wham, man has she been hit hard." But Mayor Bloomberg and Harry Reid can't bully me into changing my vote, because this legislation would have gone too far in restricting the Constitutional rights of law-abiding gun owners, while doing nothing to prevent a deranged individual or criminal from obtaining and misusing firearms to commit horrific tragedies like the one in Newtown. With the help of the liberal media, Michael Bloomberg and Barack Obama are doing everything they can to damage me political ...
Code Pink and ACLU supporting a Republican Senator over Barack Obama. Incredible how things have changed.
Barack Obama has not even been sworn in for his second term, yet he is already going wild. He claims he has a great mandate to do things the American people do not want. There is one thing he is going to do that should outrage everyone. The only real question is when is he going to do it? What is this thing that he is going to do that will outrage all Americans? Barack Obama has always wanted to surrender in the war on terror. He promised to close the detention facility at Guantanamo. His Attorney General leaked our interrogation techniques so that terrorists could know and prepare for capture. Eric Holder persecuted CIA personnel. Now, Obama has nominated a former Republican Senator to be Secretary of Defense who wants to destroy the American military and surrender to Iran and nominated a new Director of Central Intelligence who has said the United States should not go after terrorists who threaten America. As bad as those things are, they are not as bad as what Obama will do. What is it he will do ...
Can Americans really be that stupid?? --Mike Scinto (retired conservative radio host in Dayton, Ohio) on the re-election of Barack Obama. Now, let me make this clear, I like Mike. We have some fun bantering back and forth. He's a good guy; just someone with whom I happen to disagree with on a variety of issues. He is not a mean, hateful, or homophobic guy. He just doesn't seem to understand that the extreme right wing agenda, especially with respect to the social agenda, that those extreme right wingers (namely the faction that has usurped the Republican Party under the name of a beverage that comes in a little bag and to which many add lemon and/or sugar), is absolutely killing his party. So...anyway, here is my response to Mike's question, "Can Americans really be that stupid?" * No more stupid than voting for that Republican Senator who lost his job -- got creamed in the election -- after saying "pregnancy from getting raped is a gift from God" . I guess people should have clamored to vote for this mo ...
Republican Senator, Vietnam Veteran Endorses President Obama Larry Pressler, retired Republican US Senator from SD As a combat veteran of two tours in Vietnam with twenty-two years of service as a Republican member of the U.S. House and Senate, I endorse President Barack Obama for a second term as our Commander-in-Chief. Candidates publicly praise our service members, veterans and their families, but President Obama supports them in word and deed, anywhere and every time. As a Vietnam vet, one of the reasons I support President Obama is because he has consistently shown he understands that our commitment to our servicemen and women may begin when they put on their uniform, but that it must never end. This decision is not easy for any lifelong Republican. In 2008 I voted for Barack Obama, the first time I ever voted for a Democrat, because the Republican Party was drifting toward a dangerous path that put extreme party ideology above national interest. Mitt Romney heads a party remaining on that dangerous ...
Senator Rand Paul holds up confirmation of US envoy Rick Olson to Pakistan An influential US Senator is believed to have put on hold the confirmation of President's nominee for ambassador to Pakistan in the Senate, in an apparent protest against continued detention of a Pakistani doctor who helped CIA trace Osama bin Laden. Rand Paul, the Republican Senator, media reports said, has objected to the nomination of Rick Olson, who was earlier nominated by Barack Obama as his envoy to Pakistan. The hold on ambassadorial nominee comes at a critical time when the US is trying to build up its relationship with Pakistan with the reopening of the ground lines of communication and also when the US is preparing for the withdrawal of its troops from Afghanistan.
