From CBS News: Latest on Lois Lerner. Your friendly IRS official. WASHINGTON - A former IRS official at the heart of the agency's tea party controversy called Republicans "crazies" and more in newly released emails. And a key GOP lawmaker says the remarks show that Lois Lerner was biased against conservative groups and targeted them for extra scrutiny. Lois Lerner used to head the IRS division that handles applications for tax-exempt status. In a series of emails with a colleague in November 2012, Lerner made two disparaging remarks about members of the GOP, including one remark that was profane. GOP demand for IRS special counsel faces long odds Republican Rep. Dave Camp, who chairs the House Ways and Means Committee, released the emails Wednesday as part of his committee's investigation. Camp says the emails show Lerner's disgust with conservatives. In one email, Lerner called them crazies. In the other, she called them "a**holes." Emails Prove Democrats in Collusion with IRS Against Tea Party Group (If you question Cummings you may get tagged a racist!) April 10, 2014 By Jennifer Burke Elijah-Cummings Democrat Congressman Elijah Cummings is the second highest ranking member on the House Oversight Committee, the congressional body in charge of seeking answers regarding the IRS scandal of targeting of Tea Party and other conservative groups. He has also been accused by committee chairman Republican Rep. Darrell Issa of ‘being an obstacle to Congressional oversight’ in the search for answers. Throughout the proceedings, Cummings’ actions have been more like someone trying to provide cover for IRS official Lois Lerner and blocking the quest for truth at all costs.

Over the weekend, republican Rep. Mike Fitzpatrick joined Mitt Romney's 47% bandwagon by telling people at a Tea Party fundraiser that he believes in supporting those that sign the front of paychecks, not the backs of paychecks. It's shocking that he would so callously insult the hard working, middle class people who trusted him to represent them in Washington. His divisive philosophy represents yet another example of why he's the wrong fit. Kathy Boockvar is the democrat running against him. Those living here in my area, if you see Kathy's name on the ballot, please help her help us by giving her your vote.
