MATCHDAY : Bayern Munchen vs Real Madrid Road to the final.
Bayern Munchen v Real Madrid // Tip Over 3.5 In this UEFA Champions League second leg semifinal between Bayern Munich and Real Madrid, Madrid is in great form. They have won their last eight matches, scoring 25 goals and conceding just once. Today’s game is most important of the season for Real Madrid as they seek to reach their first Champions League final in many years, and they are well prepared with star man Cristiano Ronaldo to start after a recent hamstring problem, while Pepe, Karim Benzema and Gareth Bale who missed out on the 4-0 thrashing over Osasuna are all fit to feature tonight. On the other hand Bayern Munich are on their worst run of form this season, despite defeating Werder Bremen 5-2 at the weekend this month they suffered three defeats out of their last six games losing to Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and FC Augsburg, also in Champion Leagues they lost at the Allianz Arena to Arsenal and Man City. Tonight they have to overturn a 1-0 first leg deficit in order to progress to the ...

If Sheikh Mansour wants to put Man City on the European map he should really think twice about his managerial appointment. I don't think there is a better coach right now than the outgoing Bayern Munchen's Heynckes right now after winning the treble. People might be tempted to say this is the best Bayern Munich's side ever. I think Heynckes will do well at the ailing Real Madrid or the trophy hungry City. Can Manuel Pelligrini bring tropies to the Eastlands? maybe, but I am going to go ahead and rule him out getting past the quarter finals in the Champions League next season. On another note what's going on with heat? Lebron is going to have to go back again to his Cleveland days otherwise he'll miss out on a back to back ring. I hear people entertaining the thought of him being one of the best ever with 4 MVPs well I think he needs a couple of rings to be named in the same sentence as the Kobes, MJs etc.
According to reports Real Madrid have beaten Bayern Munchen in the race to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski! -SG8
B. Dortmund Vs B. Munchen, wot a match it will be tonight! I will cast my vote for BVB bcos they re relatively unknown interms of their players nd they re playing beautiful and scintillating football. Moreso, they emerged top in a group tagged d group of champions (comprises champions of four different league in europe namely Ajax, Real Madrid, Man City and B.Dortmund), if they win it tonight it will not be by luck as in d case of Chelsea. I want to also hope history will not favour Bayern Munchen tonight bcos any team that conquered Fc Barcelona in d semis will always go all d way to lift d trophy (Real Madrid 2002, Man Utd 2008, Inter Milan 2010 and d most luckiest team to win Champions League, Chelsea 2012). Best of luck to BVB.

Cristiano Ronaldo is an injury doubt for Real Madrid's Champions League semi-final second leg against Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday. The Portuguese sustained a thigh injury against Aletico Madrid on Saturday. Barcelona are anxious to replace declining in form goalkeeper, Victor Valdes this summer. Bayern Munchen have set a new point record in the Bundesliga. Crytal Palace winger Wilfred Zaha who was voted Championship player of the year at the PFA awards will come to Man Utd this summer. Badge of honor is still for 5 clubs: Real Madrid, AC Milan Liverpool FC, Ajax Amsterdam, Bayern Munchen
Champions League final's preview: -Bayern has overcome Mourinho and Chelsea has beaten Guardiola. -most of the players in this final had tasted defeat in the previous CL finals. -Jupp Heynckes has won CL once with Real Madrid, so he has been there and won it. -both teams aren't champions in their respective leagues and Chelsea hasn't even qualified for CL this season while Bayern had been humbled by Borussia Dortmund but one of them could be Champions of Europe. -this must be the last chance for Drogba (or maybe Essien, Lampard & Terry) to get his hand on the big trophy. -the Bayern Munchen team of 2001 is for me one of the most deserved European Champions within these 20 years but truthfully I can't really say the same thing to this recent Bayern although they are a solid team. -Schweinsteiger, Robben, Kroos, Gomez & Ribery (plus Muller) are the best attacking players for Bayern. -Drogba, Lampard, Mata & Torres could be the main attacking force for Chelsea. Could the absentees of Ramires or Meireles be v ...
"BE CAREFUL, MANY HAVE GONE !" (apologies to Ekeson Brothers Nig. Ltd- a Tranportation Company). This is what Bayern Munich seem to be telling, as the two sides are spoiling for a show down in this evening UEFA Champions League final at the Allianz Arena, the home turf of FC Bayern Munchen. Record has it that the host have taught all the visiting teams to the Arena, this season, a very bitter lesson, including Jose Mourinho's Real Madrid. But Chelsea would not take all of that, as their progression to the final has Baecelona as one of its casualties, against the predictions of book-makers. Whatever be the case, soccer fans would be given the worth for their money, after 90 minutes of undiluted soccer artistry, packed with actions. Whoever emerge the winner would be a deserving one, as they have both subdued illustrious opponents on their ways to the Allianz Arena. A repeat of the 2nd world war, you would want to say.
Real Madrid were dubbed Best Club of the 20th Century for a reason. The team has won nine European Cups and 31 league titles thanks to performances like the one they gave tonight at Camp Nou. The team gave a football masterclass against Barcelona and grasps the league title with the tip of its fingers. The lineup was the same that started against Bayern Munchen. Mourinho's men pressurised in attack looking for quick steals to counterattack through Di Maria and Ronaldo. They had their first chance four minutes into the game when the Portuguese striker tried to head in an Ozil corner-kick, but Valdes saved the day for the locals. Two minutes later, Alves faced Casillas alone, but the keeper snatched the ball from him with a clean sweep. Valdes cleared a good Benzema shot on the 10-minute mark and Barcelona started to have more possession but didn't have any clear chances. An Ozil corner-kick in the 17th minute resulted in the Madridistas' first goal: Ronaldo tried to head it in and Valdes failed to clear th ...
Arjen Robben has followed the example of team-mate Daniel Van Buyten by extending his contract with UEFA Champions League finalists FC Bayern München. The winger has added two more years to a deal which was due to expire at the end of next season and consequently is now tied to the Bundesliga club until June 2015. On Monday, Van Buyten prolonged his expiring terms by a further 12 months. The 28-year-old, who joined the Bavarians in 2009 from Real Madrid CF, said: "I've always emphasised that I

I needed to coach this team in order for my career to be complete, but winning with Real Madrid is more important than coaching or winning with the team." I have two years left on my contract and my family and I are happy with a stability we never had before due to moving every two or three years. We're delighted to remain here." "President Florentino Perez managed to achieve the difficult task of getting me excited about his project. He told me Real Madrid needed me and that I needed Real Madrid to round up my career after winning the Champions League with Inter Milan. I am grateful to the President for convincing ...
