Following Super Bowl XLVIII at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel wants to continue the cold-climate football trend by hosting the NFL draft and Super Bowl in the Windy City.
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel recently voiced his desire to see not just a Super Bowl in the Windy City but other NFL-related events like the draft. "We’ll work on both," Emanuel told the Tribune in an interview. "There’s something to the draft and there’s something to the Super Bowl. I compliment the NFL for deciding to change to cold-weather cities."

The NFL is looking at options for where to hold the draft in 2015. Next year's draft, one of the most popular events on the league calendar, was moved from April to May 8-10 to keep it at Radio City Music Hall. The venue has created a spring entertainment show that will occupy the historic theater for April. If the league decides to move the draft back to April in future years, it will consider other venues. Already, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel has contacted Commissioner Roger Goodell about his city hosting the draft. NFL internal study groups could consider moving the draft to different cities, similar to how the Super Bowl is rotated. Or they could find a bigger site in New York should Radio City remain unavailable when the league wants to stage the draft.

Rahm Emanuel and Roger Goodell discussed the possibility of bringing the Super Bowl to Sol
So, Rahm wants the Super Bowl to come to Chicago? Maybe he should have spoke up when Mayor *** Daley and the Chicago Bears (in a deal with Daley buddy and Bears co-owner Pat Ryan) SHRUNK Soldier Field for almost $700 million (taxpayer expense) so Daley could keep CONTROL over whatever stadium the Bears (who didn't have to spend their money) would play in. Thanks to that blunder, a new stadium was needed for an Olympic Bid, which Daley had previously opposed, then supported only when he could CONTROL it. He installed his buddy Pat Ryan, the same buddy who didn't give a *** about the future, as the figurehead of the Olympic Bid, so he could keep CONTROL over it all. See a pattern? Where was Rahm Emanuel at any point? NFL should not make the mistake of trusting Rahm...ask the IOC...they learned the lesson of not trusting Daley.
