During a recent lecture Justice Clarence Thomas basically called the media elites out on their blatant racism when it comes to how they attack BLACKS who don't think as they are told. Justice Thomas said, “You can pick anybody, don’t pick me, pick anyone who has decided not to go along with it; there’s a price to pay." Dr. Ben Carson said, white liberals (including those that control the media) are the most racist people on the planet. There is a trend here and I like it. So let me ask. If you can look at a persons skin color like liberals do and from that observation not just expect but demand certain thought processes and from that twisted perspective, you go on to attack any black person like liberals do, or allow it to happen as you sit back and giggle, like white liberals do, what is that if it is not racism? (Michael Harris) This from the article linked below: Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas said “the elites and the media” have been gentle with President Barack Obama because he presc ...
Reader's Digest has released its "100 Most Trusted People in America" list, which is the result of a nationwide poll to discover which public figures, and the ideals they represent, have earned Americans' confidence.  Actor Tom Hanks earned the highest score, making him America's most trusted man (65%). Highlights from the "The Most Trusted People in America" poll include: Michelle Obama (53%), known for fighting childhood obesity and advocating for military families, outscored every single politician on the list, including her husband, President Barack Obama (45%). Other politicos include Colin Powell (50%) and Hillary Clinton (47%), both landing in the top half of the list. Those surveyed trust TV judges more than Supreme Court Justices. Straight-talking dispute-settler Judge Judy (51%) had the highest score of all the judges on our list - including all nine Supreme Court Justices, and was closely followed by Judge Joe Brown (48%). Jon Stewart (36%) and Stephen Colbert (33%) outscored more serious comm ...

Defense attorneys for the Amish are attacking the group's prosecution under the federal hate crime statute, passed in 2009. The statute stipulates that to constitute a federal violation, the crime has to involve crossing state lines or using "an instrumentality of interstate or foreign commerce." In this case, government prosecutors successfully argued that the scissors and hair clippers were an instrumentality of interstate commerce. That argument is an abuse of federal power and is unconstitutional, the defense attorneys argue. Bryan pointed to last year's landmark decision by the U.S. Supreme Court over President Barack Obama's federal Health Care law. The court found that the individual insurance mandate at the heart of the law was not enforceable under Congress' power over interstate commerce but rather as a tax. Bryan said that case, decided after the Amish were indicted, shows a willingness by the nation's highest court to narrow Congress' authority over interstate commerce, and could guide the 6th ...

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz.—American Indian tribes have tried everything from banishment to charging criminal acts as civil offenses to deal with non-Indians who commit crimes on reservations. Ever since the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 1978 that tribal courts lack criminal jurisdiction over non-Indians, tribes have had to get creative in trying to hold that population accountable. They acknowledge, though, that those approaches aren't much of a deterrent, and say most crimes committed by non-Indians on tribal land go unpunished. Tribal leaders are hoping that will change, at least in part, with a federal bill signed into law Thursday. The measure gives tribes the authority to prosecute non-Indians for a set of crimes limited to The audience reacts to remarks by President Barack Obama, Thursday, March 7, 2013, at the Interior Department in Washington, before the president signed the Violence Against Women Act. Gov. Jan Brewer says Arizona will expand Medicaid Last edited Mon Jan 14, 2013, 10:15 PM USA/ET - Edit history (1) Source: Deseret News PHOENIX — Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer said Monday that she plans to expand the state's Medicaid program to cover citizens who earn up to 133 percent of the poverty line. The Republican governor made the announcement in her annual State of the State speech in which she also outlined plans to boost funding for Child Protective Services and to push for the Legislature to reform the state's sales tax collection system this year. Brewer said the decision on Medicaid came in spite of her recent opposition to the federal Health Care law known as the Affordable Care Act. One provision in the law allows for states to increase the program with federal support. The governor cited President Barack Obama's re-election and last summer's U.S. Supreme Court ruling in saying that the law is here to stay. The Supreme Court did give states the option of not signing on to the expansion. But Br ...

Obama's 2009 Tax Return Says Harrison J Bounel 02/26/13 Who is Harrison J. Bounel? According to the 2009 tax return submitted by President Barack Obama, he’s the President of the United States. All nine U.S. Supreme Court Justices are scheduled to discuss this anomaly today. The case in question is Edward Noonan, et al v. Deborah Bowen, California Secretary of State, and the Justices are finally looking at it thanks to the dogged determination of Orly Taitz. The case calls into question many of the documents Obama (Bounel, Soetoro, Soebarkah, etc.) has used and/or released as authentic since he came on the national scene. The case contends that the documents — birth certificate, Social Security number, Selective Service registration, etc. — are fakes or forgeries. If that’s the case, Obama should not have been on the California ballot in 2008 and, therefore, should not have received the State’s electoral votes. Four of the nine Supreme Court Justices must vote to move the case forward. We’ll s ...

February 27, 2013 WASHINGTON U.S. Supreme Court hears Voting Rights Act challenge By The Associated Press The most potent weapon in fighting discrimination at the ballot box comes before the Supreme Court in a case that weighs the nation’s enormous progress in Civil Rights against the need to continue to protect minority voters. The justices are hearing arguments Wednesday in a challenge to the part of the Voting Rights Act that forces places with a history of discrimination, mainly in the Deep South, to get approval before they make any change in the way elections are held. The lawsuit from Shelby County, Ala., near Birmingham, says the “dire local conditions” that once justified strict federal oversight of elections no longer exist. The Obama administration and Civil Rights groups acknowledge the progress, but also argue that Congress was justified in maintaining the advance approval, or preclearance, provision when the law was last renewed in 2006. Last week, President Barack Obama weighed in on ...

In 2012, we all were given the opportunity to cast a ballot and say who we wanted in the White House whether it was the return of President Barack Obama or if we wanted Mitt Romney to become the 45th President of the United States. On that Tuesday in November, President Obama was reelected. There was something different about this campaign season. It was one that we hadn’t seen before. Not that the first African American President was seeking reelection, not that America had nominated it’s first Mormon candidate for President. It was the most expensive election in the country’s history.      Between each campaign, the Republican and Democratic National Committee and all the Super PACs, just over $2 billion had been spent. Imagine what you could do with $2 billion. How did it get this way? Why does it seem like the cost of an election goes up as if it’s being sold to the highest bidder? The Citizens United ruling by the Supreme Court in January of 2010 may have opened the flood gates some politi ...

Florida Governor Says ‘Yes, We Can’ To Obamacare He Formerly Opposed February 22, 2013 by Ben Bullard Will there ever be any true political winners in the Obamacare fight? Republican Governor Rick Scott of Florida — one of the most recalcitrant opponents of the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act — came half-circle Wednesday, resignedly telling his constituents he will work with the Administration of President Barack Obama by asking the Legislature to expand the Medicaid program in his State. He’s trying to look as Republican as he can about it. He credits his change of heart to a viscerally wrenching event, one unassailable for all but the most callous of media (the death of his mother). His press conference remarks Wednesday were appropriately grumpy: I believe in a different approach, but it doesn’t matter what I believe. It doesn’t matter what anybody believes. The Supreme Court has already made its decision. We had an election in the fall. OK. The public made its decision. N ...

Obama’s Old Law Professor Presents a Defective Case for Gun Control Damon W. Root Feb. 15, 2013 11:46 am In testimony this week before members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, Harvard Law School professor Laurence Tribe, an influential liberal academic and former teacher of President Barack Obama, told lawmakers that the Assault Weapons Ban of 2013 introduced last month by Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-Calif.) “clearly passes constitutional muster.” To buttress that sweeping statement, Tribe sought assistance from a surprising ally: Robert Levy, the libertarian lawyer who spearheaded the legal challenge to Washington, D.C.’s handgun ban that resulted in the Supreme Court’s 2008 ruling in District of Columbia v. Heller. In that landmark case, Justice Antonin Scalia’s majority opinion held that the Second Amendment secures an individual right “to use arms for the core lawful purpose of self-defense.” So what was the attorney behind Heller doing as part of Tribe’s confident case for new gun con ...
Catholic Bishop: Obama Is 'Proponent' of What is 'Shameful and Criminal in the Eyes of Almighty God’ (CNSNews.com) – Nicholas DiMarzio, the Catholic bishop of the diocese of Brooklyn, N.Y., says that in his zealous support for abortion, President Barack Obama has used his position not to help mothers and children in difficult circumstances but instead has been an advocate for that which “is shameful and criminal in the eyes of Almighty God.” In his column for the diocesan newspaper The Tablet, entitled “Deeper Into the Culture of Death,” Bishop DiMarzio praises Abraham Lincoln, the abolition of slavery, and notes how far the nation has come in electing Obama as president. DiMarzio also notes the 40th anniversary of the Supreme Court’s Roe v. Wade decision, which legalized abortion through all nine months of pregnancy and how Obama has promoted that decision. “The so-called ‘pro-choice’ movement has its roots in the ideology of Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, who und ...

Israel approves 90 new settler homes Israel has given final approval for 90 new settler homes in the occupied West Bank, driving another wedge into a rift with Washington ahead of a visit by US President Barack Obama. The homes will be built in Beit El, a major Jewish settlement north of Jerusalem, the defence ministry said. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has pledged that 300 new dwellings will eventually be constructed in Beit El, despite a Supreme Court ruling that evicted 30 settler families from the area last June, saying they were living illegally on private Palestinian land. MIAMI (AP) — Sandra Pico is poor, but not poor enough. She makes about $15,000 a year, supporting her daughter and unemployed husband. She thought she'd be able to get Health Insurance after the Supreme Court upheld President Barack Obama's Health Care law. Then she heard that her own governor won't agree to the federal plan to extend Medicaid coverage to people like her in two years. So she expects to remain uninsured, struggling to pay for her blood pressure medicine. "You fall through the cracks and there's nothing you can do about it," said the 52-year-old home health aide. "It makes me feel like garbage, like the American dream, my dream in my homeland is not being accomplished." Many working parents like Pico are below the federal poverty line but don't qualify for Medicaid, a decades-old state-federal insurance program. That's especially true in states where conservative governors say they'll reject the Medicaid expansion under Obama's Health Law. In South Carolina, a yearly income of $16,900 is ...
The Supreme Court on Wednesday declined to intervene, at least for now, in the simmering legal dispute over President Barack Obama s contested appointments to the National Labor Relations Board.
On the matter of gun control: First, for the sake of argument, let us concede the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling-- that overturned a hundred years of precedent and runs counter to the opinion of most Constitutional scholars-- and set aside that debate. There are some flat-out realities that should find traction outside the looney-tune world of the NRA, its “John Wayne” followers and firearms manufacturers. Reality one: There is no threat to our Second Amendment rights, period! And there never has been. Any “law abiding” citizen can become a gun owner. Reality two: President Barack Obama does not have an agenda to confiscate guns from “law abiding” citizens. Reality three: America is the greatest democracy on earth and the idea of a tyrannical government coming to power is absurd! Subscribing to the flip side of those realities is an exercise in paranoid delusions and should have no standing in a serious discussion about the sea of weapons that have flooded our nation and facilitates the epid .. ...

The law would also charge federal officials who try to enforce the ban with a misdemeanor, reports CBS. The state could have problems enforcing its own law. The U.S. Supreme Court has ruled that federal laws supersede state laws. It’s uncertain whether the block would be legally enforceable. I read the front page of the Advocate this morning about the abortion issue and was so surprised. There were so many high school students protesting against abortion. It amazed me that high school students were at the steps of the US Suspreme Court building protesting against abortion. Quick hits and other moments from Obama inaugural. WASHINGTON D.C. -- A wistful moment for President Barack Obama came shortly after his public swearing-in ceremony. As he began walking off the inaugural platform to go into the U.S. Capitol for the traditional luncheon with lawmakers and other dignitaries, Obama stopped and turned around to look at the scene on the National Mall, filled with hundreds of thousands of people who braved chilly weather to be part of the day. "I want to take a look, one more time," he said. "I'm not going to see this again." - In a nod to their increasing political clout, three Latinos played important roles in Barack Obama's public inauguration ceremony. WASHINGTON (AP) - President Barack Obama is promising to uphold the Constitution in a public swearing in ceremony that signals the beginning of his second term in office. Placing his hand on two Bibles -- one used by President Abraham Lincoln at his first Inauguration and one used by the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. -- Obama took a public oath of office on Monday, after he was sworn in during a private ceremony on Sunday. The Constitution requires presidential terms to begin on Jan. 20. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts administered Obama's private swearing in on Sunday and the public ceremony Monday. He also swore Obama in during his first inauguration in 2009.
President Barack Obama to take official oath at White House President Barack Obama will take the official oath of office in a small, private ceremony at the White House on Sunday, setting a more subdued tone for his second inauguration than his historic swearing-in four years ago. Sunday's events began when Vice President Joe Biden was sworn in by Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor, making her the first Hispanic judge to ever administer an oath of office for one of the nation's two highest offices. Obama will still be sworn in publicly outside the US Capitol on Monday with all the traditional pomp, but that event will be mostly for show. Technically, Sunday is the only one that really counts according to the Constitution, which mandates that the president take office on Jan. 20. Compared to the momentous atmosphere of Obama's first inauguration, the mood will be different this time. A bitter 2012 election fight, stubbornly high unemployment and fiscal showdowns - both past and still looming - have temp ...

Vice President Joe Biden and his family appeared onstage, drawing big cheers, to help open the show. He said he wanted to thank Latinos for their support in last year's election. Jose Godinez-Samperio also notified the Florida Supreme Court on Wednesday that he has received a Florida driver license. The High Court is considering whether to admit him to the Florida Bar after hearing oral argument in October. Some justices then had suggested holding off a decision until the Federal Government acted on his application for deferral and a work permit. President Barack Obama announced the deferral policy for young Illegal Immigrants in June. Godinez-Samperio came to the United States on a visitor's visa when he was 9 years old but his family never returned to Mexico. The only reasonable course of action now is to be prepared for the big changes coming, because these changes will hit ill-prepared Americans hard. These changes will not only affect how much your Health Insurance, medical treatment, and prescription drugs will cost you and your family . . . They will also affect the type and quality of healthcare you can expect to get in the near future. Shockingly, 40% of doctors plan to stop practicing clinical medicine under ObamaCare. Plus, with 30 million more Americans ...
In May 2009, President Barack Obama nominated Sotomayor to the Supreme Court to replace retired Justice David Souter. Her nomination was confirmed by the Senate in August 2009. I do remember a 60 Minute interview they did with Sotomayor which she stated she believed that there are parts of the Constitution that she feels should be "updated". Does anybody remember this interview? And if so is there anymore information about this judge. Obama will be appointing 2 more Supreme Court judges in this term. Depending on who he appoints, I'm afraid that we'll be seeing a lot of changes. Isn't that the platform that Obama ran on in 2008. CHANGE
CHICAGO (Reuters) - Illinois lawmakers began considering a measure on Wednesday that would make President Barack Obama's home state the 10th in the nation to legalize *** marriage. Supporters and opponents furiously lobbied lawmakers as a leading sponsor of the proposal pressed for a quick vote in the state Senate. The "lame duck" session is the final meeting before a newly elected legislature takes office later in January. Buoyed by November election referendum victories in Maryland, Maine and Washington state, supporters of *** marriage want to make Illinois the first Midwestern legislature to approve it. Iowa's Supreme Court legalized it in 2009. If approved, Illinois would be the second most populous state to allow *** marriage after New York. Democrats hold a majority in both chambers of the Illinois legislature. But as in Maryland, Washington state and New York, a few Republican votes may be needed to pass a bill in Illinois. State Republican Party chairman Pat Brady was making calls to Republican l ...

President Barack Obama, today, release a statement celebrating the Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court Decision that allowed for 54 million abortions.
From June 2012: "Supreme Court extends more lenient penalties in crack cocaine case" Reuters "The Fair Sentencing Act, signed by President Barack Obama on August 3, 2010, sharply reduced the difference between sentences for crimes committed by crack cocaine users, who tend to be black, and powder cocaine users, who tend to be white. The disparity was reduced to about an 18-to-1 ratio, compared with the prior law which treated 100 grams of powder cocaine as the equivalent of one gram of crack cocaine, or a 100-to-1 ratio. . "

Olmstead Champion Meets the President Posted by Sue Jamieson on June 22, 2011 at 02:06 PM EST President Barack Obama looks at a painting presented to him by artist Lois Curtis, center, during their meeting in the Oval Office, June 20, 2011. Joining them are, from left, Janet Hill and Jessica Long, from the Georgia Department of Labor, and Lee Sanders, of Briggs and Associates. (Official White House Photo by Pete Souza) . The memories of living in institutional settings since the age of 13 will always be with Lois Curtis even though her life today is beyond what she ever could have imagined when she made the first of many brave phone calls to my office at the Atlanta Legal Aid Society saying, “I want to get out!” The journey (and struggle) from that day includes an historic Supreme Court Decision, a home of her own and a successful career as an artist. And now, a meeting with President Barack Obama in the Oval Office as we observe the 12th anniversary of the Olmstead decision. The Olmstead story began ...

Opponents still raw about federal Health Care plan Bill Cotterell, 12/03/2012 - 06:41 PM for The Florida Current Fired-up conservative activists Monday demanded that state lawmakers nullify President Barack Obama's national Health Care plan by refusing to implement employer mandates, state revenue requirements and regulations they called an unconstitutional intrusion on state authority. KrisAnne Hall, a Wellborn lawyer, lost her job as an assistant state attorney rather than stop espousing her views at tea party rallies and talk-radio forums two years ago. She confronted Senate President Don Gaetz after the two-hour committee hearing and told him the plan "is not the law of the land." "Oh? The Supreme Court didn't get your message, or you didn't get theirs?" Gaetz, R-Niceville, replied. "They didn't get James Madison's message," Hall said. The Supreme Court has revived a Christian college's challenge to President Barack Obama's healthcare overhaul, with the acquiescence of the Obama administration.
(Reuters) - The Supreme Court on Monday cleared the way for a Christian college to pursue a religion-based challenge against part of President Barack Obama 's healthcare reform , which it claims forces taxpayers and employers to subsidize abortions and contraception .
Breaking from Newsmax.com Report: Obamacare a Good Deal for States States will receive more than $9 in federal money for every $1 they spend to cover low-income residents under President Barack Obama's Health Care law, according to a nonpartisan analysis released Monday. Expanding Medicaid to cover about 20 million more low-income people will cost over $1 trillion nationally from 2013 to 2022, said the joint report from the Kaiser Family Foundation and the Urban Institute. But the analysis found that states will pay just $76 billion of that, a combined share of roughly 7 percent. The feds will pay the other $952 billion. The Supreme Court has opened the door to a new challenge to President Barack Obama's sweeping Health Care Reform law, just five months after upholding the law's Individual Mandate in a dramatic 5-4 decision. The court decided on Monday that Liberty University, an evangelical institution in Virginia, must get a second hearing from a lower court of its challenge to the Health Care law's Birth Control mandate and its provision that all large employers provide insurance to employees or pay a fine. The 4th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals threw out the case last year, saying the university couldn't challenge the employer or Birth Control mandates before they went into effect. The university argues that providing employees and students with Health Insurance that covers contraceptives violates its religious freedom under the First Amendment, and that employers cannot be compelled to provide Health Insurance. More than 40 lawsuits have been filed against the Birth Control mandate, according to the Becket Fund for Re ...
After investing $380 million in Romney, Republican-leaning outside groups ponder their future GOP groups taking stock after $380 million loss By BETH FOUHY | Associated Press | Nov 8, 2012 3:42 PM CST Republican-leaning independent groups were supposed to be a key to victory for Mitt Romney. As U.S. President Barack Obama dives into his second term and looks to build his legacy, his appointments of federal judges, especially to the Supreme Court, appear certain to make a lasting impact.
I am very proud of my home state, North Carolina. North and South Carolina stood strong this time. RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- North Carolina Democrats can't remember being so low in state government after Election Day. The strings of power that party members nearly always held for more than a century will all be cut now after last week's results. Republican Pat McCrory's gubernatorial victory broke the Democrats' 20-year winning streak for the Executive Mansion. The GOP expanded majorities in the House and Senate and retained the majority on the Supreme Court. Democrats also took hits in federal races. North Carolina was the only battleground state where President Barack Obama's campaign lost. And Democrats lost at least three U.S. House seats. Former Democratic Lt. Gov. Dennis Wicker says the party is at a crossroads. He doesn't know if the defeats are just an aberration in a two-party state.

Well we should reconsider, for this is a truth that is well documented. KSBW news reported in October 2009 how most of the US presidents were genetically related, “A seventh-grader and her 80-year-old grandfather are allegedly the first people to discover that President Barack Obama is related to all other US presidents except one. Bridge Anne d'Avignon, who attends Monte Vista Christian School in Watsonville, traced that Obama, and all other US presidents except Martin Van Buren, are related to John "Lackland" Plantagenet, a king of England and signer of the Magna Carta. The student and her grandfather, who is a genealogist, spent this past summer designing the first known family tree chart in history that shows the presidents' direct relationships.” US Politicians serve a wider agenda as their salaries are paid for by the elite corporations, which finance the lobbying for them to be placed in power. We should also consider that the US Supreme Court has passed a law stating corporations have the same ...
Last night President Barack Obama, a Democrat, twice garnered 50% of the vote in his bid for POTUS. This feat has not happened since the election of FDR. This is the first election since the Supreme Court ruling on Citizens United and all the millions of dollars spent did not equal the will of the middle class. Attempts of voter suppression failed as Americans stood in long lines for hours to have their voices heard. Last night we learned that the right to vote is what makes American great and no party should stoop so low as to deny citizens their voting rights. For the first time in American history minority groups consisting of Hispanic Americans, African Americans, Asian Americans and women elected this President. The significant gender gap revealed that women do care about their economic and reproductive rights and will vote to protect them. Watching the people in the background at the Romney concession speech one could see mostly old white men. Their days are numbered. Romney's concession speech was ...
President Barack Obama's signature on... By ruling that ObamaCare is constitutional, the Supreme Court has set in motion a slew of tax hikes. Well, someone has to pay for it. For rich folks, looming big is the 3.8% Medicare surtax on investment income, and the 0.9% Medicare payroll tax hike (from 1.45% to 2.35%). And then there are the tax hikes for everybody else. Obama’s pledge against any form of tax increase on Americans making less than $250,000 a year “was thrown out the window” when he signed the healthcare law, says John Kartch, communications director with Americans For Tax Reform (founded by anti-tax crusader Grover Norquist). Here’s a rundown of seven ObamaCare tax hikes that affect the hoi polloi. No. 1. The Individual Mandate Excise Tax. Starting in 2014, anyone not buying “qualifying” Health Insurance must pay an income tax surtax. It goes up each year until 2016 and beyond when a couple would pay a tax of the higher or $1,360 or 2.5% of adjusted gross income. No. 2. The Over-The ...
YEAH WE DID IT, GOBAMA. AMERICAN WOMEN CAN BREATHE A COLLECTIVE SIGH OF RELIEF NOW THAT ROMNEY/RYAN ARE OFF THE POLITICAL LANDSCAPE, ALONG WITH THEIR SUPREME COURT PACKING PLAN WHICH COULD HAVE SET THEIR RIGHTS BACK 100 YEARS. Thank goodness America knew better than to allow the progress we've made because of President Barack Obama, to go down the drain by electing a Religious Fundamentalist to head our great State. U.S. Pres. Obama made huge strides forward in returning America to it's status as Best Friend and Big Sister to the First, Second and Third Worlds. With this re-election wrapped, now the Pres. can once again focus on domestic and foreign policy especially resuscitating the economy as he had begun to do before he had to waste a year on the campaign trail. Political Postscript: The idea that Chris Christie could ever be the GOP Party presidential contender is so ridiculous, it makes me a little nauseous from laughing so hard. We ask You to provide wisdom like that of Solomon, as well as purity, protection, and safety. We release the knowledge of God's will with all spiritual wisdom and understanding. Tuesday, November 6, 2012, is a very important day for our state and nation. Here in Alabama, please remember to VOTE for Judge Roy Moore FOR Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court. Judge Moore is a man of principle and he will always fight for our conservative christian values. Please be aware of Judge Moore's Democratic opponent, Judge Robert Vance, who is a contributor to President Barack Obama. His wife, Joyce Vance, is appointee of President Barack Obama. We cannot afford to have a liberal Democrat on the Alabama Supreme Court. So please remember to vote for the only conservative choice, Judge Roy Moore!!! Also, this is critical election to our country. The only conservative choice is to vote for Mitt Romney for President and Paul Ryan for Vice President.
The Obama administration has strongly supported Israel’s security by helping to construct the Iron Dome, by backing Israel’s responses to rocket attacks from Gaza and by coordinating closely with its military. Dershowitz with Obama in Oval Office Photo: Courtesy The case for the reelection of President Barack Obama is compelling for several important reasons. Let me begin with our future and the future of our children. The composition of the US Supreme Court over the next 30 years may be decided during the next four years. There are now three justices who will turn 80 and one who will be close to 80 during this coming presidential term. The remaining justices – including conservative Chief Justice John Roberts and Justice Samuel Alito – are relatively young. Whoever is elected the next president may get to appoint as many as four justices in their 40s or 50s. These justices may well serve 30 or more years on the High Court, and if they are as reactionary as the current young justices, will form a ...

REVIEW THE ISSUES FOR THE 2012 ELECTION The Supreme Court: Is in my opinion the number one issue for the 2012 election because as many as three new judges will be appointed. This country cannot allow the Party of Scrooge to add to the list of *** that gave us Citizen United and in 2000 appointed BUSH as the President even though we now know that Gore had won the Election if allowed to be re-counted. On the ruling on Citizen United two quotes: "One of the stupidest rulings ever consummated or perpetrated on the American people." Jimmy Carter "A major victory for big oil, Wall Street banks, Health Insurance companies and the other powerful interests that marshal their power every day in Washington to drown out the voices of everyday Americans." President Barack Obama was a major critic Now that Romney is going to lead the GOP we must look at the people he is surrounding himself with, and Robert Bork, is as good as any reason to make sure Romney never gets to Smell the White House Steps. Here is a letter-to-the-editor I sent to the Tampa Tribune. I am not surprised that they haven't printed it. I don't know if they posted it online. I doubt it Feel free to ell me what you think. Tribune Endorses Mitt, Really? After some well-reasoned editorial opinions from the Tampa Tribune Editorial Board, I was looking forward to an endorsement of President Barack Obama, to continue on his course of repairing the damage done to the United States by eight years of Bush rule. After all, you warned us against deceptively-named amendments which would only give power and tax-breaks to the already well-off. You Endorsed Bill Nelson, who is most likely to work on behalf of the working people of Florida, and the candidate best suited to support Obama as president for the next four years. You issued a thoughtful yet fervent plea to Florida voters to keep the current Supreme Court judges, who are only being targeted because they aren’t indebted to the Republican Party and rich out-of-state manipulators. Yeah, ...

I was talking to a loved one who was wondering How In The *** Mitt Romney was getting on the polls at all with The United States of America's President Barack Obama, with all of his lies and pretenses. I let her know that the Republicans, Haters, Tea Party Conservatives and the like KNOW that The President has put a lot of Awesome programs in place and the Supreme Court Justice issues are also at stake, and NO Republican wants to see THIS PRESIDENT win because the recovery of America will be under HIS WATCH! And he will go down in History as one of the Greatest Presidents Ever!! Don't get it twisted people! VOTE! BLESS
The Biggest Threat in an Obama Second Term There are many ways a second term for President Barack Obama threatens the rights of gun owners. He wants to bring back the 1994 semi-auto ban; his administration has already imposed an illegal registration scheme on certain rifle sales; and there is no way to know how far he would go to use his executive powers to curb our rights if he didn't have to face reelection. But without a doubt, the biggest threat would be his potential appointments to the Supreme Court, as highlighted in a new advertisement unveiled this week by the NRA Political Victory Fund. We already know the kind of jurists Obama will appoint. Even before joining the Supreme Court, Elena Kagan and Sonia Sotomayor proved their opposition to the most basic rights protected by the Second Amendment. But this past week, we had the opportunity to get a peek into the legal mind of another Supreme Court Justice who recently opposed our rights, and his comments tell us a great deal about what would happen ...
So how is it that Willard Mitt Romney's oldest son "Tagalog" (the name may not be correct and my spelling is perhaps a Girl Scout Cookie or a rain forest highlander in the Phillipines) can get away with saying on-air in a radio interview that he "wants to smack (or punch) President Barack Obama for calling his father a liar"? Why has the FBI not arrested and detained Willard's *** son in Cuba untill the Supreme Court can determine if he is safe to be walking around?
The President Barack Obama and Governor Mitt Romney represent two entirely different paths for this Great Land. One path is to get back to the original Constitutional USA. And the other is to change America into a Socialist Country. This is the most important election in the history of America since that of Abraham Lincoln. Constitutional conservatives must win the presidency and Senate and hold the House. Republican control of both Houses will prevent filibustering to delay conservative bills but most importantly would stop the appointment of two and possibly three more liberal socialistic Supreme Court judges. As indicated below, examination of Obama’s record on the major issues facing us today reveal a visceral disdain for America’s core values and freedoms. 1. Economy. National bankruptcy with boundless government giveaways rampant borrowing, nationalization of our private sector, four conservative trillion-dollar deficits, no national budget for three years, more Americans have lost their jobs u ...
President Barack Obama has vowed to push for comprehensive immigration legislation if re-elected. Opinion polls show Hispanic voters overwhelmingly support Obama. Republicans generally back stricter controls on illegal immigration than Democrats. In the Republican primaries to pick a presidential nominee, Mitt Romney, Obama's challenger, took a hard line, saying he supported what he called self-deportation for Illegal Immigrants. In Monday's order, the Supreme Court granted Arizona's appeal without comment. A decision is expected by the end of June 2013. The case is Arizona v. The Inter Tribal Council of Arizona Inc et al, U.S. Supreme Court, No. 12-71.

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- President Barack Obama's campaign is urging the U.S. Supreme Court not to consider an appeal in a dispute over Early Voting in the presidential battleground state of Ohio. A lower court had reinstated Early Voting on the three days before Election Day and returned discretion to local boards of elections. Secretary of State Jon Husted (HYOO'-sted), a Republican, has appealed that ruling. He's also asked the Supreme Court to delay the lower court ruling while it decides whether to take the case. Attorneys say the Obama campaign submitted a court filing Friday asking that the lower court's ruling stand. Obama's campaign and Democrats sued Husted over the Early Voting law.

Flag's half staff for dying Constitution Oct 6, 2012 | Opinion People have asked me why I have lowered my American Flag to half staff. I tell them several weeks ago, in the span of only about one week, at least three outrageous acts took place: » President Barack Obama used his executive privilege to prevent Attorney General Eric Holder from having to divulge his part, and others', in the "Fast and Furious" scandal. That's the name given to the scandal where our own weapons were used by a Mexican drug cartel to murder our own border patrolmen. » Also, the Supreme Court ruled that the Individual Mandate part of Obamacare could be considered Constitutional as a tax, but not as part of the Commerce Clause, even though the Democrats presented it as not a tax. » The third thing that happened is even though the Supreme Court upheld the "show me the papers" part of the Arizona immigration law, the Obama administration immediately declared it would severely limit federal enforcement cooperation with local an ...

By Jonathan Stempel Fri Sep 28, 2012 1:31am EDT (Reuters) - Affirmative action for minorities, Human Rights abuses and the constitutional authority for dogs to sniff out crime will top the U.S. Supreme Court's agenda when it returns to the bench on Monday. An even bigger issue, same-sex marriage, lurks on the horizon. The new term marks the full court's first return to the public eye since June when Chief Justice John Roberts surprised many by joining four more liberal justices in a 5-4 decision that upheld nearly all of President Barack Obama's healthcare law. The court will start with one of its most anticipated cases, Kiobel v. Royal Dutch Petroleum, and address for the second time the extent to which American judges are empowered to hear lawsuits over Human Rights atrocities abroad. On October 10, it will hear perhaps the biggest case on the docket so far, Fisher v. September 24, 2012 | Dan Rodricks Soon after President Barack Obama's inauguration, "I want my country back!" became the shrill battle cry of the tea party. Garrett Epps, a legal scholar based at the University of Baltimore, has a battle cry of his own: "I want my Constitution back!" Epps believes the tea party and the politicians it supports are among the collaborators in extravagant myth-making about the law of the land, and the movement has gone from the fringe to the conservative mainstream to the Supreme Court. Right-wing "patriots," libertarian think tanks, members of Congress and Fox News are all engaged in using twisted and false interpretations of the Constitution to advance an anti-government, even anti-electorate agenda. It's wrong and it's dangerous, Epps says. Thus the title of his book: "Wrong and Dangerous: Ten Right-Wing Myths About Our Constitution," just published by Rowland & Littlefield. Epps, a former Washington Post reporter, teaches Constitutional Law and writing at the UB law schoo ...
Anyone miss that 'Bama Slamma interview on 60 minutes? Here are SOME of the highlights: “US President Barack Obama says Israel’s call for drawing red line over Iran’s nuclear energy program is just ‘noise’ he tries to ignore.” When asked about the events in Libya resulting in the killing of 4 Americans, our fearless leader described it as "bumps in the road." When asked about his responsibilities, Obama answered, "Oh, I think that, you know, as president I bear responsibility for everything, to some degree, and." Best of all, as we all know by now, the Supreme Court allowed Obama care to sneak through because the Individual Mandate was ruled "A TAX," it was great to see our slithering serpent of a president say, when asked about Obamacare, "I haven't raised taxes." Is anyone looking at the facts out there? If you're watching ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, reading the New York Times or Washington Post, and you actually care at all about the FACTS, you are getting scammed. Mass Media is acting like ...
I came across this on a friend's page and checked it out from this news source. This is unbelievable to me. And scary. (CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama endorsed a constitutional amendment that would restrict the free-speech rights of political activist groups by overturning the Supreme Court Decision in the landmark Citizens United v FEC case that granted First Amendment rights to corporations. “Over the longer term, I think we need to seriously consider mobilizing a constitutional amendment process to overturn Citizens United,” Obama wrote during a question and answer session on the website Reddit on Wednesday. “Even if the amendment process falls short, it can shine a spotlight of the super-PAC phenomenon and help apply pressure for change.” In its decision, the Supreme Court said that the government could not restrict the free-speech rights of organizations during elections, striking down key provisions of the McCain-Feingold campaign finance law. That law restricted how much money inde ...
Many Democrats who support President Barack Obama are quick to point out the following examples of disrespect by Republicans and/or conservatives over the past four years: SC Rep. Joe Wilson's "You Lie" interruption at a State of the Union (SOTU) Supreme Court Justice Sam Alito's "That's not true" at a SOTU. Va. Rep. Eric Cantor's walking out of a budget meeting before the same had been adjourned. While each of the aforementioned events was rude and disrespectful, few Democrats have gone on record to either question or condemn revelations that former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi placed the president on "mute" and refused to listen to him during an important policy meeting with fellow members of her caucus. Perhaps such is because the level of one's offense depends upon which team one plays for? Or, perhaps, the same is hypocrisy? Such hypocrisy may be due, in part, because of Rush Limbaugh and the other conservative band of merry minstrels who have followed Limbaugh's lead from four years ago, when he state ...
Closing arguments in the case — which went to trial in August and included several state officials as witnesses — were scheduled for Monday. South Carolina has said it would implement the law immediately if the three-judge panel upholds it, although a decision either way is likely to be appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court. Tougher state voter registration and identification laws could factor into this year’s election as voters divide along racial lines behind President Barack Obama or GOP nominee Mitt Romney in the presidential contest. About 90 percent of African-Americans and some 64 percent of Hispanic registered voters support Obama, according to the most recent Gallup three-week tracking poll. (Aug 20-Sept. 9). Democrats worry the ID laws may rob Obama and Democratic candidates of votes. The law allows voters to show a driver’s license or other photo ID issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles, passport, military ID with photo or a voter registration card that includes a photo. The law’s r ...

Kansas officials plan to hold a hearing Thursday afternoon to weigh whether President Barack Obama is a citizen and should appear on the state's November ballot. The Kansas Objections Board will be considering a challenge filed by Joe Montgomery, a Manhattan resident, who Monday objected to Obama being on the ballot. He claims the president is not an American citizen since his father was a citizen of the United Kingdom and Kenya. The all-Republican board -- which consists of Secretary of State Kris Kobach, Lt. Gov. Jeff Colyer and Attorney General Derek Schmidt -- has the power to remove Obama from the ballot in his mother's home state. Montgomery, the communications coordinator for the College of Veterinary Medicine at Kansas State University, said in his filing that he does not believe Obama meets the criteria for citizenship because of his father's citizenship. He cites several Supreme Court rulings in the filing, which he says validate his argument. In the filing, Montgomery said that the rulings show ...
House Considers If Obama’s Actions on HHS Mandate, Fast and Furious, Recess Appoints Constitutes Abuse of Power Posted on September 13, 2012 by Cowboy Byte Citing use of executive privilege to withhold information from Congress, using end runs around Congress on issues of immigration and appointment and violating religious freedom, Congressional Republicans and constitutional experts said President Barack Obama has abused his power. “President Obama has treated the Constitution’s separation of powers as if it were a matter of convenience that may be ignored when it gets in his way,” Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah), a former constitutional attorney and Supreme Court clerk, said in his testimony to the House Judiciary Committee Wednesday. “Rather than cooperating with Congress or respecting the Constitution’s separation of powers, he has in many instances chosen to go it alone and in the process has exceeded the proper bounds of executive power,” he said. 56 20 5 Continue Reading on cnsnews.com This en ...
Obama and Romney: Where they stand on the issues By CALVIN WOODWARD Associated Press The Associated Press Monday, September 10, 2012 3:26 PM EDT WASHINGTON (AP) — A look at where Democratic President Barack Obama and Republican presidential rival Mitt Romney stand on a selection of issues: ABORTION and Birth Control: Obama: Supports abortion rights. Health Care law requires contraceptives to be available for free for women enrolled in workplace health plans, including access to morning-after pill, which does not terminate a pregnancy but is considered tantamount to an abortion pill by some religious conservatives. Supported requiring girls 16 and under to get a prescription for the morning-after pill, available without a prescription for older women. Romney: Opposes abortion rights. Previously supported them. Says state law should guide abortion rights, and Roe v. Wade should be reversed by a future Supreme Court ruling. But says Roe v. Wade is law of the land until that happens and should not be chall ...
"President Obama, on the other hand, has consistently fought for equal pay for equal work. He signed the Lilly Ledbetter Act. Not only that, President Obama has tripled the number of women on the Supreme Court by nominating two women to the bench, created the White House Council on Women and Girls to support fair treatment in matters of Public Policy, and invested in opportunities for women in science and technology. "That is one of a thousand reasons why I am voting for President Barack Obama on election day." — Judd Apatow
The conservative organization for which the Supreme Court’s controversial Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission decision is named on Thursday brought their latest film attacking President Barack Obama to the city where he is speaking at the Democratic National Convention.

Please go out to the polls and vote for Democrats and President Obama!! The Republicans are still for the Rich only 1% of the American People!! This election is so important because the next President will be picking as much as three retiring Supreme Court Justices, whom are pick for Life!! There is already a 5 Conservative to 4 Liberal/Moderate Advantage, so that should tell you something!! Also the Republicans have tried to make it had for the sick, poor, old, and minorities to vote, by voting in a bill to say you have to have a driving license to go vote!! But they have made it easy for Republican voters, because all they have to do is show a gun permit, and we know the National Rifle Association (NRA) is predominately Republican!! So let is not procrastinate and get all the things we need to vote!! So we can have a Democratic Congress, Senate, and President Barack Obama again!! God Bless America!!!
In a June 25, 2003 interview with the Chicago Defender, an urban newspaper serving the city’s African-American community, President Barack Obama praised the U.S. Supreme Court for preserving the practice of affirmative action in U.S. university admissions.
Want to find out what Obamacare is really about? On March 23, 2010, President Barack Obama signed the Affordable Care Act into law. The Act’s 2,700 pages are filled with government price controls, mandates, subsidies, bureaucracies, and regulations. And now, having escaped being struck down by the Supreme Court, the dangers it poses to individuals, families, companies, industries—and our nation as a whole—have to be confronted, halted, and replaced. The Cato Institute has been a leader in educating the American people on how Obamacare jeopardizes individual freedom, democracy, and Health Care Reform. This specially created e-Book, representing the best of Cato’s work on Obamacare, contains the work of over a dozen national experts who have dedicated their professional lives to enabling effective Health Care Reforms. Scalia says no 'falling out' with Roberts By JESSE J. HOLLAND, Associated Press ' Jul 19, 2012 ' WASHINGTON (AP) ' Justice Antonin Scalia said he hasn't had a "falling out" with Chief Justice John Roberts over the Supreme Court's landmark 5-4 decision validating much of President Barack Obama's Health Care overhaul. In an interview that aired Wednesday on CNN's "Piers Morgan Tonight," the justice said that, despite reports that he and Roberts had clashed, there is not a personal feud going on between the court's two leading conservatives. "There are clashes on legal questions but not personally," Scalia said of the court. The Supreme Court late last month upheld much of Obama's signature Health Care law, with Roberts siding with the court's liberals to uphold the hotly debated core requirement that nearly every American have Health Insurance. The decision allowed the law to go forward with its aim of covering more than 30 million uninsured Americans. Since then, Roberts has been the focus of derision from ...
President Barack Obama: "Today is the three year anniversary of Sonia Sotomayor taking her seat on the Supreme Court. Yesterday was the two-year anniversary of Elena Kagan taking her seat on the Supreme Court. So, let's be very clear, the next president could tip the balance of the court in a way that turns back the clock for women and families for decades to come." When he’s right, he’s right.

President Barack Obama, in a White House speech, gives his reaction to today's Supreme Court ruling on his health-care law.
I believe it is time for you, President Barack Obama and Mitt Romney -the Presumptive Republican candidate for President- to back off the negative ads and tell your money-bloated, "unaffiliated" PAC's that the Supreme Court ruled could take over national elections, to cease and desist. The voters need to hear the specific details that are in your "plans" to fix America. You tell us you have plans but neither says exactly what the plan is. Give us the plans, let us study them, and trust us to vote intelligently on the one we believe might be best. That is a challenge, Barack and Mitt - tell us WHAT your plans are, not just that you have plans. The sooner we know, the sooner we will be able to have a national, regional, state, and family discourse based on the strengths and weaknesses of those plans which no doubt will show us the positives and negatives as we the voters interpret them. Please don't take us to be fools who are not able to discern good from bad. It is time for you, Barack and Mitt, to step ...

We have such a wonderful President (NOT)! Obama will NEVER get my vote. He has done more harm than good for this country! Read on and see! ObamaCare was passed by Congress on March 21, 2010, and signed into federal law by President Barack Obama on March 23. This law furthers the process of socializing the United States Health Care system begun with Medicare.[5][6] The centerpiece of ObamaCare is the Individual Mandate, a provision that makes it mandatory for every citizen to purchase private Health Insurance, which is unprecedented in American history. Through legislative mandates, ObamaCare requires private citizens to purchase Health Insurance, involuntarily fund abortions, and pay for sex offenders to use Viagra under the threat of legal sanctions if they do not. The new law imposes penalties that will increase to 2.5% of one's income if he fails to purchase government-approved Health Insurance. On June 28, 2012, the Supreme Court voted 5–4 that, while Obamacare exceeded Congress’s authority under ...

President: New website will aim to deter fakers By Andrew Tilghman - Staff writer Posted : Tuesday Jul 24, 2012 7:56:53 EDT The Defense Department plans to unveil a new website listing high-level military honors in an effort to deter military fakers, President Barack Obama said Monday. The president, speaking to the annual convention of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Reno, Nev., said the site, which will be posted this week, is an effort to honor those who serve. Obama’s announcement comes just weeks after the Supreme Court struck down a 2006 law making it a crime to lie about receiving some military honors, ruling that the law violated the First Amendment right to freedom of speech. “It may no longer be a crime for con artists to pass themselves off as heroes, but one thing is certain — it is contemptible,” Obama said. “So this week, we will launch a new website, a living memorial, so the American people can see who’s been awarded our nation’s highest honors. Because no American hero shoul ...
In an obvious effort to protect President Barack Obama, a group of congressional Democrats has introduced legislation to create an official process that will allow the commander-in-chief to keep presidential records secret after he leaves office. Ironically, Obama revoked a similar George W. Bush order in one of his first official acts as president. In 2001 Bush penned an executive order severely limiting public access to his presidential records. Shortly after swearing in, Obama killed it as part of his much-ballyhooed commitment to government transparency. At the time, the new president claimed that he was giving the American people greater access to “historic documents.” It was the right move. The Bush Administration did indeed demonstrate a disappointing penchant for secrecy and Judicial Watch was a frontrunner in the effort to make records public. Examples include: The *** Cheney Energy Task Force records that JW pursued before the United States Supreme Court; Attorney General John Ashcroft’s ...
In Massachusetts’ contentious U.S. Senate race, few issues divide the two candidates more sharply than the Health Care law signed by President Barack Obama and upheld by the Supreme Court.

At a Heritage Foundation event on Wednesday US Solicitor General Donald B. Verrilli promised to stand with President Barack Obama but bailed at the last second, opting to agree that the President’s attempts to undercut the Supreme Court’s reputation ahead of the Obamacare ruling were uncalled for.
“It’s a penalty that comes under the Tax Code,” Pelosi said on NBC’s “Meet The Press” as host David Gregory pressed her to say whether she agreed with the Supreme Court, which deemed the law constitutional because the fee used to enforce the Individual Mandate amounts to a tax, or with President Barack Obama, who has maintained the fee is not a tax. Thank you it is not a tax because it is a penalty if you do not abide by it. So if I do not want to pay money on insurance because I never go they will tax me. Any way you are taking money from me and giving it to a large corp.

Maine Gov. Paul LePage blasted the Supreme Court's Health Care ruling on Saturday, saying the "decision has made America less free."
President Barack Obama 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC 20500 Dear President Obama: Your administration's decision to suspend 287(g) agreements with the state of Arizona is outrageous! Even the Supreme Court acknowledged the threat illegal immigration has on Arizona's communities. Why does your administration continue to put illegal aliens ahead of Americans? The Supreme Court decided unanimously that Arizona has the right to inquire about the immigration status of individuals its police officers lawfully stop and suspect to be unlawfully present. Instead of accepting your defeat with humility and grace, you've decided to do your best fight the ruling and make life *** Arizona. Is this the kind of White House and administration you want to be known for running? One that either wins or kicks over the table? Your decision to suspend 287(g) cooperation with Arizona will put Americans out of work and will put American lives at risk. Did you think this through? Do you even care? What gives you and ...

Now, in the wake of Roberts' key vote to uphold President Barack Obama's Health Care law, lets all watch Romney do yet another flip-flop and say something like: "Well, I didn't mean THAT John Roberts, I was referring to my neighbor down the street whose name happens to be John Roberts".

The Supreme Court upheld President Barack Obama's healthcare law on Thursday in an election-year triumph for him and fellow Democrats who championed the most sweeping overhaul since the 1960s of the unwieldy U.S. healthcare system.
Voter support for President Barack Obama's healthcare overhaul has increased following the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling upholding it, although majorities still oppose it, a Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Sunday showed. Among all registered voters, support for the law rose to 48 percent in the online survey conducted after Thursday's ruling, up from 43 percent before the court decision. Opposition slipped to 52 percent from 57 percent. The survey showed increased backing from Republicans and, crucially, the political independents whose support will be essential to winning the November 6 presidential election. Thirty-eight percent of independents supported the healthcare overhaul. That was up from 27 percent from a Reuters/Ipsos poll taken days before the justices' ruling. Opposition among independents was 62 percent, versus 73 percent earlier. "This is a win for Obama. This is his bill. There's not really any doubt in people's minds, that it belongs to him," said Julia Clark, Vice President at Ipsos Public ...

from "What the Supreme Court's Ruling Means for Consumers" By Louise Radnofsky | The Wall Street Journal – Thu, Jun 28, 2012 11:42 AM EDT Q: Does this mean the health overhaul law is in place for good? A: The decision effectively upholds the law for now, but its future depends on which party controls the White House and Congress after elections in November. President Barack Obama and most Democrats consider the law a signature achievement and want to move forward implementing it. Republicans, including presumptive presidential nominee Mitt Romney, have pledged to overturn it. They say they would offer an alternative proposal but haven't been specific about what it would include.
