Beavis & Butt-head are watching the video for Stone Temple Pilots’ Creep. “Hey, is this Pearl Jam?”. “Yeah. Eddie Vedder dyed his hair red.”

*Paul is singing a Stone Temple Pilots song*. "What's the difference between Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains?"
The New York Times Has the ‘Libertarian Moment’ Finally Arrived? By ROBERT DRAPER AUG. 7, 2014 “Let’s say Ron Paul is Nirvana,” said Kennedy, the television personality and former MTV host, by way of explaining the sort of politician who excites libertarians like herself. “Like, the coolest, most amazing thing to come along in years, and the songs are nebulous but somehow meaningful, and the lead singer kills himself to preserve the band’s legacy. “Then Rand Paul — he’s Pearl Jam. Comes from the same place, the songs are really catchy, can really pack the stadiums, though it’s not quite Nirvana. “Ted Cruz? He’s Stone Temple Pilots. Tries really hard to sound like Pearl Jam, never gonna sound like Nirvana. Really good voice, great staying power — but the whole is not greater than the sum of its parts.” I met Kennedy (a gabby 41-year-old whose actual name is Lisa Kennedy Montgomery) in Midtown Manhattan at Fox News headquarters, where she hosts a Fox Business Network program ca ...

Can someone PLEASE tell me what part of Lenny Kravitz is considered 90s Alternative/Grunge!! He should be no where near that category! Nirvana, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Stone Temple Pilots, Candle Box, Nine Inch Nails, Pearl Jam, Live and so forth but NOT Lenny Kravitz!!
40 mins in the car with Pearl Jam, Nirvana, REM, Stone Temple Pilots & Smashing Pumpkins all in a row. I feel as if I should be at a frat party wearing Doc Martens, a flannel shirt & a barn jacket while drinking Boone's Farm or cheap beer from a keg. I have jumped back in time to my undergrad days at Gustavus Adolphus College. *smile*
Building my re-issue and new release vinyl section at Charleston. Heatmiser, Daft Punk, Bruno Mars, 2-pac, Wu-Tang, Gotye, Weezer, Korn, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Ramones, Misfits, Primus, Smiths, Vampire Weekend and hundreds more.
From Marissa Southards...this looks fun! Tag 10 of your friends (plus me) once you have your list. Think of 10 albums that have shaped you and stayed with you. They don't have to be the coolest or the most obscure. Have fun and don't overthink it. It will probably be hard to narrow to ten once you get going! In no particular order... 1. Tori Amos - Little Earthquakes 2. Florence + the Machine - Lungs 3. Pearl Jam - Ten 4. Stone Temple Pilots - Core 5. Jeff Buckley - Grace 6. Sass Jordan - Rats 7. Nine Inch Nails - Pretty Hate Machine 8. Led Zeppelin - Four 9. U2 - Achtung Baby 10. Singles Sountrack Honorable Mention: Hunger Games Soundtrack Madonna - Ray of Light The Commitments Soundtrack Tori Amos - From the Choirgirl Hotel The Best of the Doors (C'mon...this was too hard for just ten!)
Jeff Hardy Talks About His Love Of Music, New Album, More...Posted By: Caylon Knox on Dec 10, 2013 Source: IconvsIcon.com TNA Impact Wrestling star "The Charismatic Enigma" Jeff Hardy recently spoke to Icon vs. Icon about his passion for music and his new music albumPlurality of Worlds. Fondest memories of music growing up: "For sure it was my dad playing in his country western/bluegrass band night after night in the basement. My brother and I would go down there and listen to him play songs by Randy Travis and Johnny Cash, along with all kinds of old jams. We really grew up around the country vibe. Later in life, I feel in love with rap and then got turned on to alternative rock. When I discovered alternate rock, like Pearl Jam and Stone Temple Pilots, it really made me love music. Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam were a huge influence on me. They expanded my world by leaps and bounds. Reading his lyrics was incredible. I remember “Ten” had just come out and I was still into the Vanilla Ice, Public Enemy s ...
Honestly the best type of music is the 90's Grunge music, Pearl Jam,Staind, Nirvana,Stone Temple Pilots, and Alice and Chai…
because i forgot to post a band bio here is a more detailed one of Nirvana Nirvana was an American rock band that was formed by singer/guitarist Kurt Cobain and bassist Krist Novoselic in Aberdeen, Washington in 1987. Nirvana went through a succession of drummers, the longest-lasting being Dave Grohl, who joined the band in 1990. With the lead single "Smells Like Teen Spirit" from the band's second album Nevermind (1991), Nirvana entered into the mainstream, bringing along with it a subgenre of alternative rock called grunge. Other Seattle grunge bands such as Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden and also the San Diego based band Stone Temple Pilots had also gained popularity, and as a result, alternative rock in general became a dominant genre on radio and music television in the United States during the early-to-mid-1990s. As Nirvana's frontman, Kurt Cobain found himself referred to in the media as the "spokesman of a generation," with Nirvana the "flagship band" of Generation X. Cobain was uncom ...
I would have killed to see grunge bands like Nirvana, Alice and Chains, Pearl Jam, and Stone Temple Pilots to play in their prime
No one in my class knows who Pearl Jam, The Doors, or The Stone Temple Pilots are!
"City Grocery plays Stone Temple Pilots and Pearl Jam during summer and I think I can die now."
my ten favorite bands: not in any order, that would be too difficult! -- Sublime, Rage Against The MacHine, Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus, Dave Matthews Band, The Leonard Washington's, Blind Melon, The Beatles, and Pearl Jam/ Audioslave/ Stone Temple Pilots / Sound Garden/ Velvet Revolver...yeah, I'm counting that last combo as one.
ROCK FACT: Stone Temple Pilots got A LOT better when they stopped ripping off Pearl Jam and started ripping off David Bowie.
Smashin Pumpkins, Pearl Jam, Neurotic Outsiders, Stone Temple Pilots...yeah i see your point
Stone Temple Pilots, The Goo Goo Dolls, Pearl Jam, and taking back Sunday are my favorite bands
yes. (Although I hate bush...just don't get it) Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins, Tool...I could go on n on
Just found a bunch of old CD's: Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Dinosaur Jr... and for Aimee Simpson: Frente (her CD not mine for the record)!
Stone Temple Pilots is arguably the best grunge/alternative rock band (discounting Nirvana and Pearl Jam)...
I grew up listening to grunge / rock music like Pearl Jam, Live, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Smashing Pumpkins, etc. Then one day Nickelback came on the radio and killed the entire genre. Now everyone else is gone and only Nickelback is left from that era. Can anyone give me any current bands that are primarily labeled as rock?
Pearl Jam, Faith No More, Stone Temple Pilots, and Soundgarden have been added to my iPod. Thanks Aunt Dena. C:
Tarrah's working away in the other room, listening to Pearl Jam again... or... is that Stone Temple Pilots?
If you're making a Mt. Rushmore of 90s grunge rock, Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Soundgarden are on there, but are they joined by Alice In Chains or Stone Temple Pilots? A solid case can be made for both. (Hat tip to Chris Peterson).

Tonight's show is a personal favorite, centered around one of the greatest eras of my generation, the grunge movement. Glam rock went too far and gained too much exposure, and the gritty armies of tri-tone chords and amplifier feedback came to reclaim the soul of rock and roll in the 90s. Tune in for a few underdogs and the big five (Alice In Chains, Nirvana, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam... and the "sixth grunge band" I deem as mislabeled... all in a half hour at DMR.FM!

Daily Trivia Question...Day 24: For one point each...Who are/were the lead singers of Pearl Jam, Smashing Pumpkins, Jane's Addiction, and Stone Temple Pilots?
Vino needs to be singing Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, stuff like that he will KILL !! song choice haven't liked for him
Stone Temple Pilots were able to turn alternative rock into stadium rock; naturally, they became the most critically despised band of their era. Accused by many critics of being nothing more than ripoff artists who pilfered from Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and Alice In Chains, the bandmates nevertheless became major stars in 1993. And the influence of those bands was apparent in their music, although Stone Temple Pilots did manage to change things around a bit. STP were more concerned with tight song structure and riffs than punk rage. Their closest antecedents were not the Sex Pistols or Hüsker Dü; instead the band resembled arena rock acts from the '70s -- they made popular hard rock that sounded good on the radio and in concert. No matter what the critics said, Stone Temple Pilots had undeniably catchy riffs and production; there's a reason why over three million people bought their debut album, Core, and why their second album, Purple, shot to number one when it was released. Following the success of Pu ...
Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Stone Temple Pilots, and Soundgarden are going to keep me up tonight to finish my home improvement projects tonight.

Now that I'm a member of the Atlanta chapter of The National Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences (Grammy Awards) I was able to attend a wonderful conference today. Some great panels! Some of the speakers included various entertainment attorneys and producers such as Butch Walker (Train, Pink, Weezer), Steve Lillywhite (Siouxsie and the Banshees, the Rolling Stones, U2, the Killers, Dave Matthews Band), Justin Smith (Jay Z, Usher, Kanye West, Mariah Carey), and Brendan O'Brien (the Black Crows, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Rage Against The MacHine, Sound Garden, Mathew Sweet, Bruce Springsteen, Train, Aerosmith, Lifehouse, AC/DC). The day ended with a wonderful panel with special guest Geoff Emerick, who engineered a number of albums for The Beatles. A great day!
Havent had any repsonses.but here is the emaail I sent out trying to book some cover gigs. Ill be home in December if anyone wants to hire my sexy wedding singer services. Greetings! My name is Jeff and I have just relocated to the Colorado Summit area. What a beautiful part of the world this is! I am on a three month holiday while I write and record my newest solo album and these Rocky Mountains are the perfect landscape for the process. To keep me afloat and kill the monotony, I'm hoping to book some cover shows around the area over the next few months. Consider it a "Piano Man" style lounge concert. A good portion of the music I play is low-key, great for easy-listening. Nevertheless the musical variety I play attracts all walks of life, young and old, looking for a pleasant and melodic environment to spend time in. My playlist includes The Beatles, Coldplay, Radiohead, Otis Redding, Frank Sinatra, Stone Temple Pilots, Johnny Cash, Bob Dylan, Johnny Cash, Pink Floyd, Fleetwood Mac, Pearl Jam, Tom Petty ...
I've found my new favorite radio station on Sirius Sat. Radio.Lithium.I was listening to it today while working on the boat and every song reminded me of another college good time, party, road trip, fraternity mixer, spring break, etc. They play all Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Stone Temple Pilots, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Beastie Boys, Weezer, Sound Garden, etc. It was like the sound track to my college days!
I'm so tired of this generation entirely, people believe whatever they hear, they're all dumb, when people say what's wrong with this generation, they're not doing it because they're old and miss their own, they're doing it because they weren't dumb enough to wrap belts around their necks, drink ac fluid, do bath salts, and all that other dumb crap just to get high, the '90's generation were better than ours entirely, our generation listens to Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Drake, and all those rappers who people say are incredibly 'deep'. They had Nirvana,Stone Temple Pilots, System of a Down, Queens of the Stone Age, Pearl Jam and Seether. Any one of those bands are deeper and more meaningful than any rapper you hear today. Also, people had artistic ability, they drew or painted things and wrote stuff, they had such a better generation than ours, I would give almost anything to go back and see Nirvana. They are one of the greatest bands to exist. Their lead singer, Kurt Cobain, died though, which is bad luck f ...
A Stone Temple Pilots and a Pearl Jam song came up in a row on my Pixies Pandora station, and suddenly it was Sean Peckens Pandora.
I can’t write Ella-Louise under the ambient guitar music of the cafe. I need Stone Temple Pilots or Pearl Jam. Really loud.
i can't go a whole day without listening to either Pearl Jam or Stone Temple Pilots
Just realized how uncool I've become... I am seriously not amused that the next door neighbor has some jerk with a guitar and amp trying (an failing miserably) to play all the college classics like Pearl Jam and Stone Temple Pilots (wince)...seriously, these people have 3 kids? What are they thinking?...but I'm almost more offended that this guy is killing all the stuff that is so good...

Stone Temple Pilots in Minnesota, Creed & Candlebox in Omaha, or Pearl Jam in Florida that is the question???
Looking forward to the first concert of the summer (hard to believe!) when Stone Temple Pilots play Revel in A.C. in August! Welcome back fellas! Then need to make a decision as to whether we're going to see Pearl Jam on the parkway Labor Day Weekend! I need more information on this lineup---c'mon Hova it's your production!! Finally, as an alumnus of Penn State the punishment they received was justified. I will take 1 year off from watching any PSU football in 2012!!! The last few weeks to say the least have been tough but I can honestly say that I don't care about that damned football program!!!

Ok, so here is a small list of bands that need to be in The Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame, that are not in there... Kiss, Nirvana, Motley Crüe, Journey, NWA, Foreigner, Boston, Iron Maiden, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam, Rush, Pantera Feel free to add who you think aswell. Be realistic
Alice In Chains, Sublime, Blind Melon, Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam.all in a row...the Lithium channel on XM was throwing it down for the 90's !!
Music: Most of the time I'm listening to country (usually old) or 90's rock. Other times it's straight up classic rock and whatever else hits me at the moment. Mainstream works for me. Country: George Strait, Alan Jackson, Brooks & Dunn, Darryl Worley, Joe Nichols, Montgomery Gentry, Brad Paisley, Gary Stewart, Tracy Lawrence... Rock: Boston, Bad Company, Pearl Jam, Oasis, Stone Temple Pilots, Eric Clapton (& Derek & the Dominos), Journey (of course), Van Morrison, Bread, Collective Soul, Gavin DeGraw *sigh*. The list really just goes on and on... Movies: *ugh* Here goes, again: Urban Cowboy, The Notebook, Saturday Night Fever, Grease, Napoleon Dynamite, Friday, Old School, Wedding Crashers, pretty much every Will Ferrell/Ben Stiller/Vince Vaughn type movie, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, Breakfast Club, Best in Show, Waiting for Guffman, and any documentary about the big people who can't get out of bed. No offense, but it's fascinating... TV: The Office, Samantha ...
