Recently drove to Laughlin Nevada (4.5 hours or so) to see Joan Jett and The Steve Miller Band. She played for an hour and he for 1.5 hours. A good deal for $40! That just adds to my eclectic concert going experience. To my best recolection I've seen, and in no particular order, Blue Rodeo, Judas Priest, Prince, David Bowie, Billy Idol with The Cult, Anne Murray, Robert Palmer, Billy Joel, Kenny Rogers, Pearl Jam, and a couple others at Ontario Place.
My iPod just went from Pearl Jam to Of Mice and Men and now it's Joan Jett.
Just back from vacation which took us through 15 US states with stops in Warren, OH to see the birthplace of Dave Grohl, Pensacola, FL for Deluna Fest (Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, Florence + the Machine, Joan Jett, The Wallflowers), Sarasota, FL for relaxation in the sun, New York City for Global Citizen Festival (Foo Fighters, Neil Young and The Black Keys) and finally to Watkins Glen, NY to Farm Sanctuary

Joan Jett... The Avett Brothers... Foo Fighters ... Ludacris... Florence and the machine ... Pearl jam... 2 nights in Atlanta is all I can take, but it was so worth it !!! Had an amazing weekend with amazing friends! Not looking forward to the drive, but can't wait to get home to my kids!
The past two days at the Deluna Fest in Pensacola Beach has been great. I've not been 100% due to being sick, but I can't let that get in the way of an epic concert experience. Day one was special with Pearl Jam playing a great selection of songs. Day two was even better getting to see Off! (a punk supergroup with members of Circle Jerks/Black Flag and others and then to see the original line up of Bad Brains was just plain insane. For a group of guys their age, they can still bring it. Joan Jett was entertaining and it was even her 54th birthday. Girl still looks great! Then the highlight of the night was a Foo Fighters performance that was so good I can't even describe it. I do believe that they are the finest pure rock band around today, their performance was simply flawless. They brought Bob Mould (Husker Du/Sugar fame) out for a couple songs and then presented Joan Jett with a birthday cake. Dave and Joan did "Bad Reputation" together and it was pretty cool. Today we see Florence and the M ...

Never thought I'd say this, but I'm going to be working with bands this weekend such as: Zac Brown Band, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Florence & The Machine, Ben Folds Five, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Dwight Yoakam, Ivan Neville's Dumpstafunk, Walker Hayes, Jimmy Cliff, Band of Horses, Paper Diamond, Diplo, The Wallflowers, Blackberry Smoke, and Lex & Terry. I do not normally listen to any of these besides Zac Brown Band, but it will be interesting being around all these musicians.
In about an hour and a half, I will be leaving work for a trip with Courtney Shoff to the home of Coca-Cola, CNN, and Jimmy Carter for the Midtown Music Festival. Joan Jett and the Blackhearts, Ludacris, Garbage, Foo Fighers, Adam Ant, Florence and the Machine, and Pearl Jam. Got a nice treat last night, when my Ten Club single came in the mail.
