I'm at a bar with this cover band playing Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters. Closest thing to being in New York right now :/
No matter what my brother in law and I can always bond on our love of Nirvana, Pearl Jam, and Foo Fighters.
. station on is the right mix of the Hip, Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam and Stompin Tom.
It drives me nuts that the classic rock station plays Nirvana, Foo Fighters, and Pearl Jam.
"Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters are derivative, I am musically superior " - Billy Corgan
Is it just me or has Billy Corgan become the Kanye of Alternative Rock?!?! He must have a new album coming out. I think the very fact that he has to resort to stirring up controversy as a marketing tool to gain exposure for himself and his music though kind of says it all. He can go right ahead and keep spewing out his venomous nonsense just so he can get his name in the headlines... When everything is said and done you will never see artist like Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam forced to bring up the name of HIS band just to raise their own sales. They don't have to; their MUSIC speaks for itself. Don't get me wrong, I like the Smashing Pumpkins and think they put out a couple truly phenomenal albums during the mid 90's. I can honestly say I love quite a few of their songs. But I really wish Billy Corgan would just shut up. Maybe if he stopped wasting his time and energy flinging insults and put it in trying to write great music he too could make an album as amazing as Wasting Light or Sonic Highways; or dire ...
Billy Corgan is calling Foo Fighters & Pearl Jam his "competitors" as an excuse to discredit them. Sigh. He's a great musician but I believe
Billy Corgan had some choice words for the Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam today during a new interview on the Howard Stern Show.
Billy Corgan calling Pearl Jam & Foo Fighters "derivative" is like a cat turd saying it's superior to a dog turd and a racoon turd.
"Billy Corgan criticizes “derivative” Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters, maintains he’s still the best:
Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan offered critiques of Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters while appearing on the 'Howard Stern Show.'
This past week has felt like an early Christmas! First a live streaming Foo Fighters concert from our own Cubby Bear (after a fantastic opener to the Sonic Highways HBO series), then the best Pearl Jam show I've seen in 16 years, and now we scored great seats to Foo Fighters at Wrigley! Years ago, I never imagined it would be so difficult to get tickets to good shows in "the future". I felt so lucky today when Brian Bichkoff called me and told me he got 2 seats for us! I was fully expecting both of us to get stuck in limbo in the "virtual waiting room" and never get tickets. I can't wait for the concert at Wrigley!!

Foo Fighters (1994–present) Following Cobain's death in April 1994, Grohl retreated, unsure of where to go and what to do with himself. In October 1994, Grohl scheduled studio time, again at Robert Lang's Studio, and quickly recorded a fifteen-track demo. With the exception of a single guitar part on "X-Static" played by Greg Dulli of the Afghan Whigs, Grohl performed all of the instruments himself. At the same time, Grohl wondered if his future might be in drumming for other bands. In November, Grohl took a brief turn with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, including a memorable performance on Saturday Night Live. Petty asked him to join permanently, but Grohl declined. He was also rumored as a possible replacement for Pearl Jam drummer Dave Abbruzzese and even performed with the band for a song or two at three shows during Pearl Jam's March 1995 Australian tour. However, by then Pearl Jam had already settled on ex- Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Jack Irons and Grohl had other solo plans in the works. Aft ...
R.E.M. - mixed in some Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters just when I needed it the most!
STP, Temple of the Dog, Foo Fighters, Collective Soul, Pearl Jam, and Blind Melon are my favorites right now.
I'm going to put "The Secret" to the test and visualize Foo Fighters, The Black Keys, and Pearl Jam coming to Johannesburg, to perform. ;-) oh and willie and I having golden circle tickets,...
So Blur have pulled out of Big Day Out? The rumours are saying Foo Fighters or Wolfmother will replace. Either of those bands and I'll pay the money and watch Pearl Jam headline as well. Such a great year for music 2014 is gonna be. I'm seeing the Rolling Stones, Pearl jam, Green Day, Alice In Chains, Avenged sevenfold, Megadeth, Mastodon, Tame Impala to name but a few. God bless music and the artists who make it!!
My number is 12. 1) My favorite movies are Cold Mountain, Shawshank Redemption and Tombstone. 2) I wish there could be just one more Texas Jam with the following lineup: Foo Fighters, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Tom Petty, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles, Sheryl Crow and Todd Rundgren. I'll give y'all a minute. 3) My name was printed in the December 2012 issue of Rolling Stone magazine. 4) I adore my husband, children, three sisters, momma and Pa Bob. 5) I was saved and baptized at the age of 9 at the Bailey Baptist Church. 6) I learned how to fill nail holes, use a putty knife and sling mud on the wall this week, lol! 7) I got backstage once at a George Strait concert at the Greenville Municipal Auditorium. It was his "You Look So Good in Love" Tour. The man walked right by me, two feet away. 8) When I was going to school in Tyler I got a Contributing to a Minor charge for buying beer with my college buddies who were just a few months younger than me. One week later when the drinking age had changed I got a M ...
Quick fact: Big 10's favorite band is Queensryche. from Seattle. So we have College Gameday on in the studio. Since they are in Seattle, they are showing Seattle bands: Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters, Alice In Chains, Death Cab For Cutie. Big 10 starts getting angry. Sir Mix A Lot, Macklemore. Never any Queensryche. We feared Big 10 was about to lose it
Presidential campaign promise All Super Bowl halftime shows will be performed by someone that actually makes you think about football or the city the game is being played. What makes more sense, Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears, or LL Cool J singing "Momma Said Knock You Out" in the middle of a football game? This season's game is being played (as the NFL puts it) in New York/New Jersey and we get Bruno Mars. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind his music, but it doesn't make me think football. It makes me think overplayed, overproduced, and autotuned. NY/NJ should have had Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, or a hologram of Frank Sinatra instead of someone from Hawaii. Game in Detroit, Kid Rock and Bob Seger. Game in New Orleans, jazz music. Game in Seattle, Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam. Game in Arizona, Dierks Bentley. Indianapolis, John Mellencamp, *** Mars, and David Lee Roth. Or go back to having college marching bands like they did in the beginning. No more 'N Sync, Madonna, LMFAO, Janet Jack ...

Two very good friends of mine are getting married (to each other, which is fun) and I have been asked to come up with some ideas for music for the ceremony and the reception. This is what I've done so far - any other suggestions? “Rape Me” by Nirvana. Volbeat leads the lineup of the 2013 Rock Allegiance tour, which will also feature HIM, All That Remains and Airbourne. Volbeat frontman Michael Poulsen said in a statement, "The fans have made our North American visits thus far this year great fun and truly memorable. We are looking forward to headlining Monster Energy's Rock Allegiance festival tour this summer, and sharing the stage with HIM, All That Remains and Airbourne." Korn has begun work on its 11th studio album and first with founding guitarist Brian "Head" Welch back in the fold since 2003's Take A Look In The Mirror. Welch told Rolling Stone, "We knew we would have a blast playing together, because we love each other so much, but we really wanted to make sure the music felt right before we committed to making a whole album together. But since we got in the studio, everything just started pouring out, now I can't wait until our fans hear this stuff!" His dynamic musical range and smooth groove provide many a listener with a virtual buffet of auditory temptations. Max started his music career with formal study of piano at the Royal Conservatory but quickly realized that it was the guitar guys who got the girls. By 19, he was seriously immersed to the very center of his musical soul in AC/DC and from there branched out to experiment with sounds that range from Pearl Jam to Foo Fighters to Jason Mraz. Max brings high energy and a vast repertoire of quirky, classic, and current covers to Second Life. Oozing charisma and charm, he provides his fans with an hour of musical magic.

ponders the following: with Paul Mccartney playing Bonneroo, Waters and Gilmour are still out there and at it, and The Rolling Stones have just played their anniversary concert...U2 has a new album coming out this year and continues to tour, and is in pretty good shape to be the "new Stones" or "McCartney/Beatles" or "Waters/Gilmour/Floyd". However - Green Day just released 3 new albums in as many months, Dave Ghrol and the Foo Fighters are only on a break with no signs of stopping, and Pearl Jam is projecting a release in 2013...SO...who's the new U2 gonna be? Maybe even The Killers have a shot at it!?!

I have to say that I've seen a lot of great concerts over the years but this weekend's Foo Fighters & Pearl Jam show in Atlanta for the Music Midtown Festival was the best ever. Each night over 50,000 people singing along to their songs in Piedmont Park.such an amazing experience and I am so glad I went!! I'm going to have to do this more often I think! ;)
So yea Deluna Fest was awesome. Highlights: Gaslight Anthem show including a guest appearance by Eddie Vedder, Pearl Jam, Foo Fighters including guest appearance by Joan Jett to celebrate her birthday by jamming "Bad Reputation, Zac Brown and Florence and The Machine were cool as well. Surprises: The Joy Formidable as well as Fits & The Tantrums. Great weekend on the beach with some great music.
Just got home after an amazing weekend in Atlanta. Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam. It couldn't have gotten any better. And to top it off, the jags won! What an awesome weekend :)
What a great weekend. Watched two of my favorite bands live. Foo Fighters with and Pearl Jam with :)
Joan Jett... The Avett Brothers... Foo Fighters ... Ludacris... Florence and the machine ... Pearl jam... 2 nights in Atlanta is all I can take, but it was so worth it !!! Had an amazing weekend with amazing friends! Not looking forward to the drive, but can't wait to get home to my kids!
Two days of concerts at the mid town Music Fest in Atlanta has worn me out. Some bands were good, some not so much. Foo Fighters were incredible! The second night had Pearl Jam. They were good till Eddie started on a political rant. Don't worry Eddie, I will be voting... just play the *** song.
The past two days at the Deluna Fest in Pensacola Beach has been great. I've not been 100% due to being sick, but I can't let that get in the way of an epic concert experience. Day one was special with Pearl Jam playing a great selection of songs. Day two was even better getting to see Off! (a punk supergroup with members of Circle Jerks/Black Flag and others and then to see the original line up of Bad Brains was just plain insane. For a group of guys their age, they can still bring it. Joan Jett was entertaining and it was even her 54th birthday. Girl still looks great! Then the highlight of the night was a Foo Fighters performance that was so good I can't even describe it. I do believe that they are the finest pure rock band around today, their performance was simply flawless. They brought Bob Mould (Husker Du/Sugar fame) out for a couple songs and then presented Joan Jett with a birthday cake. Dave and Joan did "Bad Reputation" together and it was pretty cool. Today we see Florence and the M ...

Music Midtown was awesome!!! Pearl Jam, Girl Talk, Ludacris, Foo Fighters, Avett Brothers... good times.
Pearl Jam put on the show the Foo Fighters wish they could have last night. 2 hours of awesome music. Dave Grohl wants to be Eddie Vedder when he grows up. Sorry Foos, you got schooled.
Pearl Jam was great. New respect for Matt Mcreedy one heck of a guitar player. But I much preferred the Foo Fighters. Dave and crew put on an awesome show.
Sadly... Pearl Jam was not as good as i thought they would be. I think Foo Fighters easily topped everyone else that played, and ill probably end up seeing them again.
Starting at 10 am tomorrow, Pearl Jam Radio on Sirius XM (channel 22) will be broadcasting Deluna Fest sets all day, including Foo Fighters & Pearl Jam!!

Good win for Notre Dame on Saturday, and I hope to have one little problem solved by the end of the day.
Does anyone remember long ago, when BRU used to be a good radio station... No, im not refering to Blink 182 and Fall out Boy every 5 mins. On Wednesday August 8th, I caught up with the group Band Of Horses at the Peabody Opera House in St. Louis. These guys had a Grammy nominated album in 2010 "Infinite Arms" and are hot and heavy on the road playing dates with My Morning Jacket, which is who they were with when we caught up with them, and they are also one of the headliners of Deluna Fest with Pearl Jam and the Foo Fighters. In addition to all that stuff, they have a new record coming out in September called "Mirage Rock". We were able to sit down and talk with guitarist Tyler Ramsey and drummer Creighton Barrett.yep...little ol' us from The DB Network talking with Grammy nominated artists backstage at a gig...who'd have thunk it... On the way to work this morning, some guys on the radio were reflecting on MCA's death and one of them argued the point that the Beastie Boys are the only group/artist of the Modern Era (which he defined as post-1985) to have 5 "relevant" albums - Licensed to Ill, Paul's Boutique, Check Your Head, Ill Communications and Hello Nasty. He defined "relevant" as an album that must have 3 of these 4 qualities... Album Sales, Critical Acclaim, Radio Hits and Musical Influence. He said all other artists that came close only had 4... he mentioned Jay-Z, Kanye West, Pearl Jam, Green Day and Red Hot Chili Peppers as having 4... I guess U2 doesn't count because they started in 1980. Only others I can think of are White Stripes, Radiohead, Foo Fighters and maybe Enimem? Anyone want to offer up one that has at least 5?
