This weekend, 15 years ago, I was fortunate to see one of the best concerts in my lifetime at the Tibetan Freedom Concert in Washington D.C. Beastie Boys, Pearl Jam, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Live, Dave Matthews Band, Radiohead, A Tribe Called Quest, KRS-One, Blues Traveler, R.E.M., The Wallflowers, Sonic Youth, and many more put on one *** of a show for two days for over 120,000 fans and for only $60. Wow, have ticket prices changed since then lol. The tragic scene of seeing someone get struck by lightning could have scarred the entire show, but it brought everyone together and made it an even better experience. I remember it like it was yesterday. Of the 150 or so shows that I have seen, this one tops them all!
Making some awesome Cd's Got one with: Lamb of God, Death, Metallica, Mastodon, and Slayer. Another with: Blink 182, Dave Matthews Band, Alice n Chains, Third Eye Blind, Semisonic, Filter, All American Rejects, Lost Prophets, Incubus, Pearl Jam, Fuel, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Matchbox 20. Not sure what I'm going to go for next. Grunge, Techno, Black Metal??
my ten favorite bands: not in any order, that would be too difficult! -- Sublime, Rage Against the Machine, Led Zeppelin, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Incubus, Dave Matthews Band, The Leonard Washington's, Blind Melon, The Beatles, and Pearl Jam/ Audioslave/ Stone Temple Pilots / Sound Garden/ Velvet Revolver...yeah, I'm counting that last combo as one.
They've got a decent Elvis soundtrack going on here. Which is better than the last time I came here and they played Pearl Jam and Dave Matthews Band.
Sjoe! So many, would love to see Pearl Jam or Dave Matthews Band live. Of course, this being Durban we get Angus Buchan
I only think I can comprehend how much Pearl Jam and Dave Matthews Band have had a truly profound effect on my life over the past year or how much they mean to me. I'd be nothing without em. The power of music is a scary thing sometimes.
Lets have a fun discussion... list Your Personal Top 5 bands/artist of all time you can listen to over and over. In no order mine would have to be Dave Matthews Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pearl Jam, Michael Jackson and Eminem
I still listen to 90's music all the time. Pearl Jam, Dave Matthews Band, Live, Smashing Pumpkins, bands that grew up then
Been listening to my tunes. The shuffle went from artists Pearl Jam, then Outkast, followed by Zac Brown Band, then on to the Beastie Boys, back down to James Taylor, back up to Led Zeppelin, then added a little Linda Ronstadt, Dave Matthews Band and some Allman Brothers. Whew, what a mix... and I love it all :)
Watching this all-acoustic live show on PBS, so far Bruce Springsteen 1986, Pearl Jam 2010, Bonnie Raitt 1983, Dave Matthews Band 1997 (?)
Heavily influenced by Pearl Jam and Dave Matthews Band, the album...
Not only did my housemate claim that Dave Matthews Band is better than Muse, but when on to assert that Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, and Nirvana -along with Dave Matthews- are better than Queen. Help.
4 out of 5 dentists agree, Dave Matthews Band puts on a way better show than Pearl Jam.
I could listen to Pearl Jam, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Dave Matthews Band all day every day.
Michael grew up loving music and began teaching himself guitar at age 13 after watching his older brothers form a band and having the home stereos filled with Pearl Jam, the Beatles and Dave Matthews Band. It wasn't long until he was writing his own songs and formed a childhood band. He has lived in...
Meet RAW Artist Cory Williams! Cory will be our first musician for the evening, and our first performer to hit the stage at our premiere event, RAW Indianapolis presents// the B L E N D! Cory started toying around with a guitar at the early... age of 10, but began to really hone in on his skills when he was 18. He continued listening to the singer-songwriter genre music he first heard as a child, as well as new musical influences such as Radiohead, Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, etc. These bands added musical fuel to his fire, inspiring him to write music and play guitar on another level outside of his home. Come to BARTINI’s on May 10th, 2012 to hear the goodness! Our bands begin playing at 8:30pm!
Going to rip out Pandora's heart for playing so much Coldplay and Pearl Jam on my Dave Matthews Band station.
