MVP of the NHL playoffs is actually "Patrick Sharp and Andrew Shaw aren't in them."
Patrick Sharp is ready for the earful he's sure to get from Andrew Shaw. "I got some ammo for him."
Mr. Lucas just told me how he was switch Andrew Shaw and Patrick Sharp last night and he has pictures to prove it. OMG
On their heels and playing a man short for most of the second period.the DEFENDING Stanley Cup Chicago Blackhawks put on a scoring playoff clinic scoring three--no make that FOUR goals in the final period---eliminating the St. Louis Blues and moving on to the second round of the NHL playoffs with a 5-1 win. Kudos to goalie Corey Crawford who held this team together during SIX Blues Power Plays. The Captain, Jonathan Toews scored early in the third to give Chicago a 2-1 lead. A minute and a half later Patrick Sharp scored his first goal and point of the series as the Hawks went up 3-1. Defenseman Duncan Keith unloaded a laser from the blue line that Andrew Shaw got a stick on and redirectd past Blues goalie Ryan Miller to make it 4-1. Duncan Keith scores on a break away on an empty netter. 5-1. He also had THREE assists. My stars- Toews, Crawford and Keith with the number one star!!! What a brutal, bruising series. Thuggery, high sticking, hard hitting and I loved every minute of it. Very well play ...
The Chicago Blackhawks jumped out to an early 2-0 lead, but the Detroit Red Wings were determined to make a game of it, and they ended up knocking off the Hawks in a 5-4 shootout victory. Marian Hossa, Andrew Shaw, Patrick Sharp, and Marcus Kruger all scored goals for the Blackhawks, but it...
The Hawks score on a Powerplay which keeps the PP goal streak going at 5 games. The goal was credited to Andrew Shaw and the assists came from Patrick Sharp (5), Duncan Keith (8). Shaw's goal is his 2nd. 1-0 Hawks with 1:30 to go in the 1st period. Go Hawks!
Scoring change. Andrew Shaw now gets the goal, Patrick Sharp and Duncan Keith on the helpers.
Thanks to all of you for the love and support while I was covering the Stanley Cup. Quite a night in Boston. Thank you Blackhawks for a wonderful ride. A very classy organization from Rocky Wirtz to John McDonough to Joel Quenneville and especially the players. A great pleasure to chat with Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, Brian Bickell, Andrew Shaw, his Dad, Patrick Sharp, Corey Crawford, I sure hope they keep this group together. Keep Bicks, Nick Leddy is an up and coming superstar. Not going to get much sleep tonight. I'm live with Ravi Bachwal on our 5 am news in 4 hours. Have a great evening Chicago, the Stanley Cup is on it's way back home RIGHT NOW.
Patrick Sharp on Andrew Shaw and his goal: "Yeah it was a pretty big goal. I'm not gonna say it is the biggest goal he is ever gonna score in his career, but you know, it's up there." Bold words about a teamate!
The showdown participants for the Big Dance for the Holy Grail have been decided. so who will drink champagne from the cup? I predict Boston will be victorious and I would be OK with that except for the likes of "The Rat" (Marchand) and the "Big Bully" (Chara). The Blackhawks on the other hand, have the classiest names: Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Duncan Keith, Brent Seabrook, Patrick Sharp, Corey Crawford, Dave Bolland, Andrew Shaw, Nick Leddy, Sheldon Brookbank, Bryan Bickell, Jimmy Hayes and Ryan Stanton. It's not the names that play the game but it sure helps if your name is Kane.
STRACK ATTACK; COLUMN 3 Last week I doubted the ability of the Blackhawks to comeback and I made a big mistake! The hawks stormed back to win three in a row and take the series from the savvy Redwings. Now the hawks have continued there winning ways and have won 5 in a row and have a comfortable 2-0 lead on the defending Stanley Cup Champion LA Kings. The hawks are loaded with all-star names such as; Hossa, Kane, Sharp, Toews, Seabrook and Keith. The leader of the Hawks in the playoffs right now is Patrick Sharp but the reason the Blackhawks are playing so well is the depth. Bryan Bickell has 6 goals and Andrew Shaw had 4 goals. Michael Handzues has also chipped in a couple and some very strong goaltending from Crawford is the equation to some strong playoff hockey. The Blackhawks played so well last night they had Jon Quick pulled in the 2nd period. I see the Hawks beating the Kings in 5 and bringing home There 2nd cup in 4 years!!'
Blackhawks chase Quick in 2nd period, top Kings 4-2 to take 2-0 lead in West finals CHICAGO - There's a sign in the hallway that runs from the home locker room to the ice at the United Center. It says "EARN IT," and it was sure hard to argue that the Chicago Blackhawks haven't done just that during an impressive start to the Western Conference finals. Bryan Bickell and Michal Handzus scored on consecutive shots in the second period, and Chicago chased goalie Jonathan Quick on its way to a 4-2 victory over the Los Angeles Kings in Game 2 on Sunday night. Andrew Shaw and Brent Seabrook also scored as the rolling Blackhawks grabbed a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series with their fifth consecutive victory. Patrick Sharp and Brandon Saad had two assists apiece, and Corey Crawford made 29 saves in another solid performance. "It's a high-speed game. If we use our speed, we'll be all right," Shaw said. "We played our game. That's the difference. The guys played good. We all competed for each other. We did every ...

We're home from day 2 of the Blackhawk Convention (and our last day, we're beat). Sat in on three panel discussions. Second one was with Patrick Sharp, Jamal Myers, Andrew Shaw and Daniel Carcillo talking about making their homes in Chicago year round...those guys together were hilarious. For dinner we stopped at Pizanos for pizza and renewed my faith that Chicago has the greatest pizza in the world...Garretts Popcorn for the after dinner snack.
