Like & Share if you agree with this open Letter To: Patrick Kane, Terry Pegula, Tim Murray & Ted Nolan, Bring Patrick Kane Home to Buffalo. Kane is the most gifted Buffalo born athlete since Hall of Fame Bob Lanier. As a free agent next year Kane should become the highest paid player in the National Hockey League. In Buffalo could be the captain of a team on the rise; that would not happen in Chicago. The Sabres have a good owner, General Manager and coach. The Sabres have many very high first round draft choices this year and next. Kane would would be surrounded by young talent and free agents that would complement his abilities. The Sabres could be built around Patrick Kane as they make a run at the first Stanley Cup for Buffalo. With Kane’s skill and his Buffalo swagger he may replace the French Connection as the defining image of the Sabres. Signing both Kane & Toews would give the Blackhawks salary cap problems. Towes has a year in the system and would remain Captain by seniority. The n ...

Ok.for all the times I ripped Patrick Kane early in his career, I officially apologize. The official math equation for the Stanley Cup Playoffs is as follows...Kane=$!
NHL: Patrick Kane scores the winner as Chicago beats LA Kings 4-3 tonight to tie series 3-3. Game 7 on Sunday for a berth in the Stanley Cup
I almost feel kind of bad for the teams that don't have Patrick Kane on their team. Another game winner and series winner for Kanner! I smell another Stanley Cup.
CHICAGO (AP) -- It wasn't the first time the Chicago Blackhawks saw a spectacular goal from Patrick Kane. Yet, they were still amazed a day later. Kane scored twice in the third period on Friday night to lift the Blackhawks to a 5-2 victory over Minnesota. But it was his dash through the Wild zone on the tiebreaking goal that had his teammates still in awe Saturday. They watched the video a few times in the morning and still couldn't believe what they saw. "Not too many players can do that, and Kaner's done that," defenseman Brent Seabrook said. "We were laughing a little bit about Kaner. That's a beautiful goal and would be a highlight of probably any one of our careers, but Kaner's done that probably 10 times. So it's old hat for him." Game 2 is Sunday in Chicago. The defending Stanley Cup Champion Blackhawks are in position to take a commanding lead thanks to a late charge that started with one jaw-dropping goal and pushed Chicago to its fifth straight win. The Wild had tied it at 2 on third-quarter go ...
I've said it before and I'll say it again, Patrick Kane has the best backhand shot in the league among pure scorers. How many times have we seen him score off the backhand? *** even a spinning backhand. Whenever I think spinning backhand I think Patrick Kane. I'm glad I took him over Jonathon Teows and Patrick Sharp in my playoff fantasy as far as Blackhawks go. If Chicago wins the Stanley Cup he'll end up being the playoff MVP.
Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks demonstrates his impressive stick handling skills. Since being the first overall pick of the 2007 NHL Draft, Kane has earned the Conn Smythe Trophy for the Stanley Cup's most valuable player.

4 years ago today was probably the best day of my life. It was the day that I watched my life change. Marian Hossa scored in overtime against the predators after Patrick Kane tied up the game short handed launching the hawks towards their first Stanley Cup in 49 years. It is also the day I found my beautiful Blackhawks vending machine that is one of my favorite accessories in my house. Oh, yeah and the day Crystal Hernandez and I started dating. Happy 4 year anniversary Crystal. Here's to many more and many more Blackhawk wins. Love you with all my heart.
Patrick Kane makes his own luck, saves the day for Blackhawks. My column:
Patrick Kane scored the winner 11 minutes, 17 seconds into overtime to give the defending Stanley Cup Champions a 4-3 victory over the Blues to even the series at 2-2 with Game 5 set for Friday night in St. Louis.
On a night when the Blackhawks thoroughly dominated the red-hot Blues to tighten the Central Division race, the defending Stanley Cup Champions' celebration was tempered because of an injury to leading scorer Patrick Kane .
While it was nice to see our Blackhawks FINALLY beat St. Louis this season, the injury to Patrick Kane (ankle?) does have me concerned (you too??). Da Blackhawks need a healthy Kane to repeat as Stanley Cup Champions. Period.
FanSided Chicago Blackhawks lose Patrick Kane for 3 weeks to lower-body injury FanSided The Chicago Blackhawks made a statement with their 4-0 drubbing of the St. Louis Blues at the United Center on Wednesday night as Corey Crawford and the defending Stanley Cup Champions had little trouble dispat...

I love this USA hockey team, but it's definitely weird for a Bruins fan to be rooting for Max Pacioretty (from the hated Canadiens), Ryan Kesler (from the hated Canucks), Patrick Kane (beat us in the Stanley Cup), and Phil Kessel (former player who we're supposed to hate but I never have). All's forgiven!
“Patrick Kane after winning the Stanley Cup he's a legend
“Patrick Kane after winning the Stanley Cup ur boy right here
Zach Parise was just named captain for the USA team. Was this a good choice??? I don't think so. Patrick Kane has 2 Stanley Cup rings to ZERO for Zach Parise. I think it is a total joke Patrick Kane is not the captain. What does everyone else think??

CHICAGO (AP) — Patrick Kane scored in a shootout to lift the Chicago Blackhawks to a 3-2 victory over the Boston Bruins on Sunday in a rematch of last season's Stanley Cup Finals.
There are some tough choices when it comes to doling out the hardware at the halfway point of the NHL season. There are some fantastic debates to be had, but here are my picks for the biggest NHL awards at the midway point of the season: HART TROPHY There are some compelling choices besides the obvious choice. Sidney Crosby's work carrying an injury-riddled team makes him a slam-dunk MVP choice. Chicago's Patrick Kane deserves a long look, although I would argue Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith deserves just as much MVP talk after his monster first half. And what of Patrick Sharp and Jonathan Toews? That's what makes it so hard to single out just one MVP candidate on the reigning Stanley Cup champs squad. Another candidate I really like is Ryan Getzlaf, who has been lights-out at both ends of the ice for the Pacific Division leading Anaheim Ducks. I'm not sure Getzlaf has ever played this well. If people on the East Coast actually stayed up and watched more Ducks games, maybe more folks would be noticin ...
Patrick Kane brought the Stanley Cup around his hometown of Buffalo, N.Y..
After their No. 1 goalie was knocked out early in the game, the Chicago Blackhawks dialed up their NHL-leading offense. Marian Hossa, Brent Seabrook and Brandon Saad each had goal and an assist, and Michal Handzus and Andrew Shaw also scored. Patrick Kane had three assists for Chicago, which ended a three-game losing streak - its longest regular-season skid since February 2012. Corey Crawford was forced out with 6:15 left in the first period after sustaining a lower-body injury. Rookie Antti Raanta, recalled after veteran backup Nikolai Khabublin was injured on Nov. 16, stopped 29 of 31 shots for the win in relief of Crawford, who made four saves. Chicago coach Joel Quenneville didn't offer a diagnosis of the injury to Crawford, who played every minute of the Blackhawks' Stanley Cup playoff run last season. ''I don't think it's too serious, but when it's a goalie, it's a little more serious than with other players, because of how important he is to our team,'' Quenneville said. ''You're concerned, but I t ...
Central Division: 1. Chicago Blackhawks: The Chicago Blackhawks are coming off a Stanley Cup Championship and didn't lose as many key pieces as they did in their previous championship season. They have young superstars like Jonathan Toews , Patrick Kane and Duncan Keith and they have depth at every position. If Goalie Corey Crawford plays like he did last year, then the Blackhawks are Stanley Cup bound. 2. St Louis Blues: They have an amazing defensive core and 3 NHL calibre goalies. The problem is offense. The Blues finished 17th in the NHL in scoring last year and must improve on that to have a long playoff run 3. Minnesota Wild: They spent a lot of money last summer on Zach Parise and Ryan Suter but need help from youngsters like Mikael Granlund and Charlie Coyle if they want playoff success. 4. Dallas Stars: They traded for the young talented center Tyler Seguin in the off-season which will move back other young talented player Jamie Benn back to his natural position at winger. Even though they have a ...

James webb... check this out Blackhawks begin quest to repeat as champions at the home of the Golden Dome, Touchdown Jesus The Canadian PressSOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Chicago Blackhawks opened training camp in unfamiliar territory, with a pair of NCAA Frozen Four banners hanging overhead instead of Stanley Cup banners and a sign at the other end of the rink reading: "God, country, Notre Dame." The Blackhawks took to the ice in two separate shifts Thursday at the Compton Family Ice Arena, which sits on the edge of the Notre Dame campus in the shadows of the Golden Dome and Touchdown Jesus, just across the parking lot from Notre Dame Stadium. "When you walk into this place and see the mystique, I think it's perfect," Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said. Conn Smythe Trophy winner Patrick Kane said starting training camp 100 miles from Chicago gave the opening practice a different feel. "It's exciting to be here at such a historic place as Notre Dame. To be part of it is fun," he said. Quenneville compared it ...

Blackhawks Looking Toward Another Stanley Cup Win by THE ASSOCIATED PRESS June 26, 2013 CHICAGO (AP) — When Rocky Wirtz took over the Chicago Blackhawks six years ago, they were among the worst teams in the NHL. Fast forward to Tuesday, when the owner mingled with fans and friends hours after the Blackhawks flew home with the Stanley Cup for the second time in four seasons. It's been quite the turnaround, and the 60-year-old Wirtz thinks there is more to come. "I think we're going to see a lot of good years ahead of us," he said. It sure looks that way. Unlike in 2010, when the title-winning team underwent changes because of salary-cap issues, the Blackhawks will be able to bring back many of their top players next season when they try to become the first repeat Stanley Cup winner since the Detroit Red Wings in 1998. Forwards Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Marian Hossa and Patrick Sharp, and defensemen Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook are all under contract for at least two more seasons. Brandon Saad, one ...
Here's another thing to shout about--our communities are only about five miles from the United Center, home of the Stanley Cup Champion Chicago Blackhawks! Once again the extra day yields a new dynamic for my blog. Instead of hitting the racetrack in California, I'm going to a hockey arena in Boston.   NHL   Congrats to the Chicago Blackhawks on winning the 2013 Stanley Cup. Two goals. Seventeen seconds apart. A second Stanley Cup victory in four seasons for the Chicago Blackhawks. Seventy-six seconds away from defeat and a trip home for a decisive seventh game, Bryan Bickell tied it. Then, while the Bruins were settling in for another overtime in a series that has already had its share, Dave Bolland scored to give Chicago a 3-2 victory in Boston, in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals. The back-to-back scores in about the time it takes for one good rush down the ice turned a near-certain loss into a championship clincher, stunning the Boston players and their fans and starting the celebration on the Blackhawks' bench with 59 seconds to play. "We thought we were going home for Game 7. You still think you're going to overtime and you're going to try to win it there. Then Bolly scores a huge goal 17 seconds later," said Chicago forward Patrick Kane, who won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the postseason's most valuable player. "KANER!!" Patrick Kane scores two goals for the Chicago Blackhawks for a thrilling win against the Boston Bruins during Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals. The BLACKHAWKS are on the brink of winning the Championship Trophy.
Image of the Day Weary The rigors of a condensed schedule and a long hard playoff run are starting to take its toll on the Boston Bruins and Chicago Blackhawks as they played Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Finals on Saturday Night. Each team lost a key player during the game, as the Blackhawks won 3-1 to take a 3-2 series lead the United Center. With Patrick Kane scoring in the first and second periods the Blackhawks took a 2-0 lead. The Bruins got bad news in the second period as Patrice Bergeron suffered an undisclosed injury that would send him to the hospital, while Blackhawks Captain missed the entire third period. The Bruins meanwhile, cut the lead to 2-1 on a Zedno Chara goal. However, with Boston trying to tie the game, the Blackhawks defense tightened up as Dave Bolland clinched the win with an empty net goal. Goalie Cory Crawford made 24 saves, putting Chicago one win away from winning the Stanley Cup.

Bergeron was sent to the hospital for further evaluation, with no update on his condition. Game 6, and the first glimpse at Stanley is Monday in Boston at 8.

CHICAGO (AP) -- Toward the end of their title defense, the Los Angeles Kings were spending a lot of time on the training table. Captain Dustin Brown was playing with a torn ligament in his left knee, just one of several injuries that became public knowledge after the Stanley Cup champs were eliminated by the Chicago Blackhawks in the Western Conference finals. Gregory Campbell broke his right leg while helping the Boston Bruins kill off a power play in the third round of the playoffs, and the center stayed on the ice until his team was able to clear the puck out of the zone. It's part of the routine for the NHL playoffs, a grueling stretch when players keep going through all sorts of injuries that seem to lead to time off in several other sports. ''If you make it this far and you don't have any injuries or anything wrong with you, I'm sure you're not really playing up to playoff hockey,'' Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane said Saturday. Blackhawks/Bruins Stanley Cup Preview: Five questions about the 2013 Final The Chicago Blackhawks dispatched the Los Angeles Kings in five games. The Boston Bruins only needed four to take down the Pittsburgh Penguins. Now, for the first time since 1979, the NHL will have two original six teams battling for the Stanley Cup beginning on Wednesday night. Here are five early questions about this meeting of the 2010 and 2011 Stanley Cup Champions: 1. Can Bruins shut down more star players? Sidney Crosby, Evgeni Malkin, Jarome Iginla, James Neal and Kris Letang combined to produce … nothing against the Boston Bruins. Not a single point. Nada. Zip. Zero. The Bruins have the weapons to shut down any scoring units in the NHL, with Zdeno Chara and Dennis Seidenberg as their top D-men and Patrice Bergeron’s line arguably the best two-way group in the league. The Blackhawks advanced past the Kings just as Patrick Kane was catching fire and Jonathan Toews was heating up. They’ve gotten solid offense out of Patr ...

I told you that the Blackhawks would win and Patrick Kane would have a huge game last night. Can't wait for the Bruins v Blackhawks to start on Wednesday. I will take the Blackhawks in seven over Bruins to win the Stanley Cup.
Patrick Kane becomes the first player to clinch a Stanley Cup playoff berth for his team on a hat trick goal since Wayne Gretzky, who accomplished this in 1993 while he should of been in the penalty box for high sticking Doug Gilmour.
I record the game then it goes 2 ots and I miss the final and 3rd goal of the night by Patrick Kane to win and send hawks to the Stanley Cup Finals.all original six vs the bruins.
Wayne Gretzky was the last player before Patrick Kane to score a hat trick, clinching a Stanley Cup Final berth. (via
Got the matchup I was rooting for and what in my opinion, all hockey fans should want. The NHL is VERY SLOWLY coming up from the lock-outs. First time the Stanley Cup Finals will see original team match up's since 1979. And what a way to clinch tonight's Blackhawks victory. Patrick Kane's recorded hat trick in overtime. First in a conference finals clincher since Wayne Gretzky for Kings in 1993. Pretty amazing. Bruins and Blackhawks will be a great matchup, and great for hockey.
I have officially decided to grow my hockey hair (moustache and hair) until Chicago wins the Stanley cup this year... it can't be any worse than Patrick Kane.
I approve of Patrick Kane sending Chicago to the Stanley Cup Final. I will be happy with who ever wins the Cup, but go 'Hawks.
Figures today (june9th) is the day Patrick Kane scored the Stanley Cup winning goal. Chicago Blackhawks
NHL: Patrick Kane had a hat trick in Chicago's 4-3 double-overtime victory Saturday Night. Just a few days ago, Chicago coach Joel Quenneville was talking about how he was looking for more out of Kane. He certainly got it tonight. Kane's third goal was the game-winner at 11:40 of the second overtime period. Duncan Keith scored the Blackhawks' other goal in his return from a one-game suspension. Bryan Bickell and Jonathan Toews each registered two assists for Chicago. With this victory, the Blackhawks have eliminated the Los Angeles Kings and have advanced to the Stanley Cup Finals. Chicago will be going for their second Stanley Cup win in just four years.

LOL, Nick Kypreos says Nazem Kadri is comparible to Patrick Kane after tonights game. The Leafs and Kadri are both playing well, but I think he is pretty far away from a Stanley Cup winner and regular dominating player in the NHL like Kane is. It was good for a laugh though:)

Watching Patrick Kane control the puck with his amazing stickhandling and skating or Marian Hossa do the same with his strength and positioning and anticipation. Toews with his heady all around game. The kids Shaw & Saad. The depth at forward, skill on defense and Crawford and Emery looking like Tony-O. Mostly road games. Stanley Cup? Wouldn't bet against it
POWER RANKINGS: The NHL’s top 10 teams The 'Hawks have gotten off to a flying star. 1. Chicago Blackhawks: The first club to win four games, including three on the road, the ‘Hawks have received great starts from star forwards Marian Hossa and Patrick Kane – and perhaps most importantly, netminder Corey Crawford. 2. San Jose Sharks: Remember what “Jaws” did to drunken tourists taking ill-advised late-night swims? That’s what the Sharks have done to opposing goalies so far. 3. Ottawa Senators: The Sens surrendered just two goals in three games and Erik Karlsson appears ready to pick up where he left off after winning the Norris Trophy last season. 4. St. Louis Blues: Season-opening 6-0 shellacking of longtime league heavyweight Detroit says plenty about the bona fide Blues (and perhaps something about the Lidstrom-less Red Wings). 5. New Jersey Devils: This perpetual winning machine captured the Stanley Cup the last time the NHL force-fed us a 48-game season &ndash: and with the very same goali ...
DAVOS – Happy New Year! from Paul Romanuk, TSN Canada In no particular order, some final thoughts on the 2012 Spengler Cup. Emotion: You see it sometimes from afar, but you really see it up close. The misty eyes of Canadian coach Doug Shedden when I interviewed him on the ice after the championship game reflected just how much this meant to him. Doug was a decent player, but he's become a very good coach and this was a big chance with Canada's National Team. He coached Finland to a bronze medal at the World Hockey Championship in 2008 and is very proud of that – but, as he said to me during that interview on the ice: "This is my country and I'm coaching Canadians and that makes it really special." Davos v Mannheim Semi-Final: Patrick Kane put on a clinic that combined his remarkable skill set with an enthusiasm that no one in the building will ever forget. He scored two goals in the game, including the winner with :22 seconds remaining – and he celebrated as though he was in a Stanley Cup playoff ga ...
