Do you know the word Iyengar is also in the Oxford Dictionary? Read more on TrepUp.

Sikh Genocide 1984: There is NO way anything will ever happen to Jagdish Tytler April 11, 2013 By Desh Kapoor 0 Comments “During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act” – George Orwell In September 1999, Dr. Manmohan Singh was addressing the Press Club of India as a candidate from South Delhi. Being a Sikh, and that too from Congress, he wanted to make a statement about the Sikh Massacres of 1984. It should not have happened, he said. However, the entire massacres were orchestrated by Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and not Congress, he suggested. After all, why would Congress, which had awarded him, a Sikh, Padma Vibhushan in 1984 have hatred towards the Sikhs? Many Sikhs in Delhi had not reconciled to the massacres conducted by Congress in 1984 and weren’t supportive of it anymore. BJP propaganda, Dr. Singh suggested. That’s all to it. After all, the easiest way to handle the crimes and genocides by Congress and the Communists have been deflected in India by ...

The dispensation by attacking the Special Director of the Intelligence Bureau, Rajendra Kumar, has attacked the core of India’s internal security intelligence. All for whom, but the LeT! Mr Rajendra Kumar’s failing has been his being professional and conscientious. In that he acquired intelligence from ‘sources’, informed the higher-ups in Delhi, which includes his seniors and in-turn the Ministry of Home Affairs. His main failing however was that, in the process, he was not saving a Chief Minister but Narendra Modi. If he had acted in the same manner to save the life of some privileged ‘democratic-monarchs’ of the country, he would have been awarded Padma Vibhushan and in the case of highest monarch a ‘ Bharat Ratna.’ After all the same dispensation rewarded Mr Brajesh Mishra with Padma Vibushan for his Boston rescue operation of the ‘Yuvraj’. Readers with little research can know the truth. Never before in the history of India, an IB or R&AW official was asked to submit before the CB ...
Padma Vibhushan Hariprasad Chaurasia was born in Allahabad in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. His father was a wrestler. His mother died when he was 6. He had to learn music without his father's knowledge, for his father wanted him to become a wrestler. He did go to the Akhada and train with his father for some time, although he also started learning music and practising at his friend's house. He often credits his wrestling training for giving him the immense stamina and lung power that are the hallmarks of his flute playing, stating that, "I was not any good at wrestling. I went there only to please my father. But maybe because of the strength and stamina I built up then, I'm able to play the bansuri even to this day."

Padma Vibhushan Dr.Akkineni Nageswara Rao's 'devdas' stands not only the best among his films but also one of the best among a few films in 82 years of tollywood history. The movie completed 60 years on 26th of June,2013. Although many heroes acted 'devdas' roles in different languages of India, no hero stands on par with the great performance exhibited by ANR in 'devdas'. Superstar Krishna used to take up many adventurous tasks those days. One such daring step is to remake ANR's 'devdas'. Like ANR's 'devdas', Krishna's 'devdas' also filled with melodious songs. He too tried his best in the role of 'devdas'. Krishna's 'devdas' was released in the year 1974. However, ANR's 'devdas' was re-released as an opposition to Krishna's 'devdas'. Unfortunately, Krishna's 'devdas' proved to be a disaster while ANR's 'devdas' again scored a thumping success at the box office. That's the craze of ANR in the character of 'devdas'. The movie stands eternal in the history of tollywood.
Granting Boons by Human Incarnation Whenever the human incarnation grants boons, it enters into the divine form of Kalabhairava, who is just a mood of God only. All the deities are only the moods of God only. Kalabhairava is a deity who is very very strict in implementing the cycle of deeds (karma chakra) and in evaluating the deservingness of the devotee while granting the boons. Actually there are two programs for the human incarnation here. One is preaching the divine knowledge and the other is performing miracles whenever there is real need. The minister is moving in the public giving a political speech. He has to carefully observe the possibility of sudden attack by the opposition parties also. One cannot do both these activities with full concentration. Therefore, he attends to first program with full concentration. A gun man follows the minister catering to the second program. Then only the minister can do full justice to his political speech and free mingling with public. Similarly, the human inca ...

Some people stand taller than their ideals. And yet they are unassuming to the core. Even those who subscribe to a different ideology cannot help appreciating their very sound values and principled stand. This is just-true in case of the veteran CPI leaders — Mr Satyapal Dang, and his wife, Ms Vimla Dang. They have been a legend in their lifetime. They have fought for the toiling people and taken a principled stand against militancy in Punjab. They have the distinction of being the only couple in the country to have received two President awards — Padma Vibhushan and Padma Shri, respectively. Rajesh Khanna passed away in Mumbai on 18 July 2012...he has been awarded posthumously India's third highest civilan honour Padma Bhushan. However, the information and broadcasting ministry has recommended his name for Padma Vibhushan to the home ministry for conferring the award under the arts category. Though his earthly body passed away,we,like millions of his fans, firmly believe that Kaka has not died.Rajesh Khannas cannot die...He will remain immortal in our hearts... The King has gone.Long live the King... With this last photo,my photo-journey for Rajesh Khanna ends here...hope you all have enjoyed...waiting for your comments...

NAMING OF CITIES , TRAINS, AIRPORTS ETC IN MEMORY OF SINDHI SAINTS A train should be named JHULELAL EXPRESS just like other trains are names say for example Jhelum express,Punjab mail, Al Hazrat Express etc. all sindhi organisations should take up the issue with thier politican mentors locally. Similarly some cities should be named after the famous saint and philosopher sadhu T L Vaswani, and Swami Lila Shah. No effort has been done in this regard by concerned organisation and thier trust and sindhi panchayats. It is high time that we should fight with the authroties to get some airports, trains, universities etc named after such saints. The above names are just an example. Bhai Partap should be honoured nationally. Similarly Dada tolani who has done such a noble job of providing colleges at Adipur should be honoured with PADMA VIBHUSHAN. And why forget Hundraj Dukhayal and Hari Dilgir. It is high time we become sensitive in the matter and take up the issue with political parties. JAI JHULELAL

A source : Many times those who excel in music run after money, name and fame. But MS Subbulaksmi was altogether different as her commitment to the cause steered her competency in right direction. She was bestowed with enormous prize money along with the awards and she donated most of it to charities. She received several awards like Padma Bhushan(1954), Padma Vibhushan(1975), Indira Gandhi award(1990), Bharat Ratna(1998) and many more.
How to buy these awards? How much it cost? Who to pay ? Can we buy them online or do we need to go to Delhi? Are they available only in spring?
Lost in Kumbh? Don't worry This man will find you! Sri Raja Ram Tiwari is doing a rare kind of service to mankind. His idea is very noble and commendable though the task on his hand is very daunting. Still he has helped lakhs of families visiting Kumbh Melas. This is an example of humble person truely deserving a National Award not less than Padma Vibhushan, if not Bharat Ratna. My Salutes to him for his selfless service. Politicians, greedy businessmen/enterpreneurs and professionals better try to emulate him.

Sam Bahadur MANECKSHAW, THE LIVING LEGEND OF INDEPENDENT INDIA.” Sam Hormusji Framji Jamshedji Maneckshaw was & even today is the Name of the Hero India always salute. He died at the age of ninety-four at Wellington Hospital on 27 June 2008. The Only Indians who did not mourn the Hero’s dead were the People in the UPA Government. It is still unbelievable that a government formed by the Indians would be so rude & indifferent to the greatest Military leader India had ever produced post-Independence. To use the words of the Former army chief General Ved Prakash Malik “Rare are the Heroes of a Nation admired by Commoners as their Idol, inspiration and icon”. Maneckshaw was one such hero India always looked up to with pride and excitement. A government that decided to lower the National Flag for three days as a mark of Mourning when the pope died didn’t even send its defense Minister to attend the funeral of Field Marshal Maneckshaw, nor did it allowed the other service chiefs to attend. Manecksha ...
