I am an Orlando Pirates fan I have a question to ask it reads as "did Oupa Manyisa renew his contract or not?"
Really??? "Midfielder Oupa Manyisa is likely to mark the return of jersey number 10 at Orlando Pirates in the new season"
Pls Update The biggest move since the window opened on 1 June has seen Issa Sarr transfer from Platinum Stars to Orlando Pirates. The Senegalese midfielder joins on a three–year deal and will provide competition for Oupa Manyisa and Lehlohonolo Masalesa in the Pirates engine room. Promoted side Chippa United have also been busy in the window with players coming and going from the side. Players to be released by the club include the goalkeeper duo of Mbongeni Mzimela and Sean Roberts, midfielder's Mfundo Shumana, Solomon Okpako and Brent Carelse.
Kaizer Chiefs will use their friendly match against Chippa United on Sunday, July 20, as preparation for the upcoming Carling Black Label Cup Soweto Derby final against Orlando Pirates on July 26.
Nahayo has not joined Pirates Valery Nahayo’s representative says talks of the defender having joined Orlando Pirates are far off. Reports on social media claim that the former Kaizer Chiefs man – who in March told KickOff.com of his desire to return to the PSL – has penned a deal with the Buccaneers. But his representative Miguel Paiva tells KickOff.com that it is just transfer talk and that they recently met with his Belgian club regarding a possible move to another European club. The Burundian, whose current deal runs until June 2015, first arrived in South Africa in the 2004/05 season with Jomo Cosmos, where he played over 100 games before joining the Amakhosi.

Siyabonga Sangweni is not an Orlando Pirates player anymore, goodnight mates!
EDUCATE ME! PLEASE. Last season when things were not going right with Orlando Pirates season, many supporters called for Roger De Sa ti be fired, at the end, the pressure of coaching à big team like Pirates was too much and he resign. My point is this, RDS used 98% of the players that Pirates supporters are voting to see them play Chiefs in the 1st Derby in 3 weeks. Why don't they chose different players? If RDS failed to achieve with the same players, what will be different this time around? Is bad results a coach's doing or players doing? Please let have the conversation. The only major difference is the inclusion of Sangweni who was absent with a long term injury and the absence of Lekgwathi who was the main man last season. Why aren't you voting for other players who didn't play last season?

You read all conversations on most of the blogs and you will notice the kind of negativity I am talking about. Just log on to any news website like News24, IOL, EYEWitnes News, Kick Off just to mention a few and you will see what I am talking about. I promise you that 70% of comments on those news articles are very negative. People tend to bring more problems on top of other problems and no solutions. Orlando Pirates boss, Dr Irvin Khoza, has paid a moving tribute to the late Metro FM presenter, Eddie Makhosonke Zondi, following his untimely passing on Monday.
Orlando Pirates have defended the time it is taking for the club to renew the contracts of senior players. Pirates for the past two seasons have become synonymous with extending players' contracts at the last stage of negotiations. Last season midfielder Tlou Segolela continued training with Pirates despite his contract expiring with the Sea Robbers. Segolela was linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs but ended all that speculation when he signed a new contract at the beginning of last season, which will keep him at Pirates until June 2016. This year it looks like we might see a repeat of that but this time around it will be centre-back Siyabonga Sangweni who is currently serving the last month of his contract with Pirates. Talks with the player are ongoing with both parties yet to agree on a deal but it is believed that they will meet again on Friday to renew talks. Then there is the case of 37-year-old Pirates captain Lucky Lekgwathi, who for the past three seasons has been signing one-year extensions to h ...

ans from Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates are making their votes in the millions, and it appears that both teams' starting-11s are nearing completion. However, there are some major omissions and inclusions so far in the popular vote. Kaizer Chiefs' Player of the Season for 2013/14, Willard Katsande, has once again dropped to the bench. This was after George Maluleka moved close to 5000 votes ahead of him in the selection. Generally, Chiefs' line-up remains consistent with the majority of the first-11 from last season making the final cut up to now. Bernard Parker won't be available for the CBL Cup because of injury, which means Katlego Mphela is pencilled in to start. Knowledge Musona is the leading Chiefs striker in the votes, however his deal has expired with Chiefs, meaning he will be ineligible to play come late July. Nonetheless, the Glamour Boys management are exploring the possibility of extending his deal which could mean he may yet feature. If Musona doesn't return, Kingston Nkhatha will lead th ...

Eddie Zondi Dedication - Dr Khoza Posted on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 - 13:20 What is in a name, a wise man once asked? What is in a voice I now ask? Eddie's soothing voice is what came first to my mind when I heard about his sad and sudden passing. Eddie epitomised 'gentle' - gentle giant, gentle velvety voice, gentle soul, a dark handsome gentleman He was my Soweto version of Isaac Hayes Eddie loved and loved deeply He cared and cared absolutely He was an 'all or nothing' guy He was a story teller that narrated stories about love He found in song lyrics words to transport and convey deeply felt emotions Lovers found in Eddie that counsellor, that uncle that understood and expressed how they felt better than they could themselves His support for Orlando Pirates was unwavering The team's performance affected his 'Happiness Coefficient' I will forever remember the many conversations we had about Orlando Pirates, especially when he was unhappy A peaceful, gentle man has departed There is no doubt that his soul ...

World Cup windfall for Downs, Bucs 2014-06-13 BOTH champions Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates can expect a World Cup windfall - they will be paid by Fifa because they have players competing at the tournament in Brazil. Sundowns will make a minimum of approximately R1-million because they have two players at the competition - Rashid Sumailia with Ghana and Nigeria replacement Ejike Uzoenyi. Pirates have Ghana goalkeeper Fatau Dauda, who will earn them close to R50. But both could earn a lot more if the two African countries get past the first round. Fifa pays clubs a rate of $2800 a day (about R28000) for players making the final 23-man squads for Brazil. Both Ghana and Nigeria will spend a minimum of 17 days in Brazil from date of arrival until the day after their last first-round match. That translates into $47600 per player for the period. Sundowns with two therefore earn $95000. At a current exchange rate of just over R10 to the US dollar, this is an unexpected but certainly most welcome windfall ...

Speaking to the Pirates’ website Meyiwa highlighted the importance for fans to use the platform provided by the organisers to select their favourite players to start against their fiercest rivals. “We want to reclaim the title. I see the line-ups so far look fairly balanced; I am content with that. The fans must keep voting as you know, only the guys with the most number of votes will make the team,” said the Bucs shot-stopper. “Winning this trophy means a lot to us players and the fans; despite this not being a League match, I can guarantee you that the stadium will be full and the atmosphere will be just the same as in any other competition; so, we have to win this trophy again,” he further told the club’s website.

My boss, in an outrage, fires me. When I leave the building to my car, I found out it was stolen. Cops say they can do nothing. See the newspaper and Bobby’s comments about Chiefs being a family team. Get a taxi 2 return home and when I get off, I remember I left my wallet. The taxi driver just drives away.& when I get home, I find my wife sleeping with de postman. Mickey Modisane said in an interview that he was not in position to deny or confirm that the Soweto-based Buccaneers were after the left-footed star, who recently won the Telkom Knock Out Player of the Tournament. Mamelodi Sundowns star, Teko Modise, has revealed that he is surprised by SAFA's intentions to take possible action against him for not making himself available for the recent friendlies against Australia and New Zealand. The 31-year-old withdrew from Gordon Igesund's squad after being called up as a late replacement. The player excused himself on the grounds he had already made holiday plans, and needed a break following what had been a physically taxing season. He is one of four players including Wits' Sthembiso Ngcobo, Orlando Pirates duo, Oupa Manyisa and Thabo Matlaba who are all under investigation by the governing body for pulling out of the national team. Nonetheless, Modise has revealed why he is baffled by SAFA's possible intention to press charges against him. GHANA (From BBC Team Sports) Team profile: Ghana The Black Stars were fancied to repeat, or even improve on, their run to the quarter-finals in 2010 in Brazil. That was until the draw was made and they were pitted with the world's second and fourth-ranked sides. However, confidence is not an issue in the Ghana camp and why should it be? Their team, offensively at least, is packed with experience and world-class talent. Michael Essien's return has been crucial, while Asamoah Gyan's time in the Middle East hasn't blunted his goalscoring touch. Key player Michael Essien's return from international exile came just at the right time for Ghana. 'The Bison', who says he sleeps for "up to 12 hours a day" was certainly wide awake during the epic play-off thrashing of Egypt where he reminded everyone just how an effective and tactically adept midfielder he is. He has a special bond with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho, who says he would play him in any position bar "goalkeeper or striker". One to watch Kwadwo Asamoah ha ...

SUKAZI MAJORO S CASE CONTINUE. Tim Sukazi still taking Lehlohonolo Majoro to court Posted: 9 June 2014 Tim Sukazi said that his legal case against Lehlohonolo Majoro is definitely going ahead. The lawyer is taking his former client to court for breach of contract, accusing the striker of going behind his back in negotiating a contract with Orlando Pirates late last year. Majoro, then still with Kaizer Chiefs, was all set to join Supersport United on a pre-contract, but pulled the plug on the deal at the last minute, reportedly as he was holding out for the switch to the Buccaneers. Sukazi said on January 31 that “there would be legal consequences in the relation to the player himself given the clandestine manner in which he concluded the pre-contract with Pirates”. On February 24 he confirmed that the player would have his day in court and, checking whether that is still going ahead, Sukazi now “Yes, I am still proceeding with the legal matter against Majoro.” The striker eventually got his wish . ...

For example, over the weekend Real Fighters FC coach was telling his players that:'They play like Pirates and they won't score". But we beat them 8-0 and the next thing the coach was nowhere to be found. He was gone, sitting behind the poles! However, I didn't take it personal but as a compliments to be compared with a team like Pirates. After the game I told him I believe in GOOD football. The goals my boys scored were out of this world and the opposition coach even applaud - THAT IS FOOTBALL.

McCarthy who holds the record as the national soccer team’s all-time highest goalscorer with 32 goals, is considered to be one of Mzansi's most successful exports. Coming from humble beginnings in the Cape Flats of the Western Cape, Big Brother began playing professional football and at the tender age of 17, signed for Seven Stars who were at the time campaigning in the first division. Ngele 'needs one more season in PSL' 2014-06-05 Mogakolodi Ngele, has sparked big interest from Premier Soccer League clubs as well as abroad, but his business manager Mike Makaab feels the Botswana international could do with one more season here. The Platinum Stars forward has been one of the top performers in the domestic game since joining Dikwena in 2012, when he was brought from Botswana by current Orlando Pirates administrator Floyd Mbele and employed by the North West club. A reunion with Mbele at the Buccaneers is very much on the cards, but Stars are reluctant sellers, especially having already lost Senegalese midfielder Issa Sarr to Mayfair. Bidvest Wits and Supersport United are also reportedly monitoring the situation closely, as are a number of clubs from outside borders. "There has been big interest in Ngele and we hope to have a clearer picture of his future in the next few weeks," Makaab told Times Media. "The temptation may be to send him overseas now, but we feel that he would maybe ben ...

Carnell is mad. Too much Ace: Manyisa is worth R10m, NOT R28m - Carnell Former Kaizer Chiefs defender Bradley Carnell says Orlando Pirates have over-priced their maestro midfielder Oupa Manyisa. According to reports, Bucs have put R28 million price tag on Ace. “Manyisa is a quality player, there’s no question about that, but I think the asking price is high. For a local player playing in a local market, going to the Russian league, I think that's too much. "Like I said, I’m not disrespecting Manyisa because he is a good player, but we have to be realistic about these things,” Carnell told Soccer Laduma. “Look, there’s money in the Russian League, I’m not disputing that, but I don’t think that the Russian clubs will be looking to pay that much money for a local player. Even teams in the second division of the German Bundesliga are not paying that. "I think half of that amount, or even R10 million is a reasonable price for Manyisa. Having said that, I’m not an agent, I’m just giving you ...

The Premier Soccer League will be conducting a draw of next season’s Absa Premiership fixtures. With the season expected to start sometime in August, it seems the league officials are already in preparation mode trying to set everything up for what promises to be another exciting season.
