White Hart Lane is the new Old Trafford when it comes to late winners
Rival Watch!!! Chelsea suffer their second defeat of the season as they were Kane-d 5-3 at the White Hart Lane to leave them top of the league only by alphabetical order. We are only 9 points off the top. Elsewhere Arsenal were beaten 2-0 at St Mary's by Southampton who we face next in the league at Old Trafford. Everton were also beaten 2-0 at Hull City while Liverpool were pegged back by a spirited Leicester City fightback from 2 goals up at Anfield. Of all other remaining teams only Manchester City won though Sunderland deserved at least a draw, all other Premier League games ended in draws. With only 2 away wins out of 10 games, United need to get back to winning ways against The Saints on 11th January to firmly cement a top three spot. We obviously miss Ashley Young for some weeks due to a hamstring injury but hoping Fellaini, Rojo, Di Maria and Blind will be back in contention. Up next, away at Yeovil Town for the FA cup on Sunday, only a win is acceptable.
Gallery: United held to stalemate at Tottenham Manchester United rounded off the calendar year of 2014 with a hard- earned point after drawing 0-0 away to Tottenham Hotspur. The Reds kicked off at White Hart Lane less than 48 hours after finishing Friday's 3-1 win over Newcastle United at Old Trafford, but showed few signs of fatigue in the first half when numerous goal-scoring chances were created - many of them denied by in- form Spurs goalkeeper Hugo Lloris. The second half may not have been quite as thrilling but there was still plenty of action for official club photographers John and Matt Peters to capture, and we've compiled some of the best photos in our match gallery. Tottenham v Man Utd preview Last Updated: 08:54 28/12/14 Manchester United face a tough trip to White Hart Lane for their final Premier League match of 2014. Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham have won their last four games in all competitions, and their last three Premier League fixtures all by a 2-1 scoreline - they are also unbeaten in their last four meetings with Man Utd. However, Louis Van Gaal’s team have an in-form Wayne Rooney in a settled role and in the mood to punish opponents having scored 11 goals in his last 13 games for club and country. Rooney was in spectacular form on Boxing Day, scoring two and providing another as United overturned Newcastle 3-1 at Old Trafford, and the Englishman faces some favoured opposition in Spurs. He has nine goals in his last 13 appearances against the North London side, while United have not lost in their last 13 trips to White Hart Lane. A win could push Spurs into the top four as Pochettino looks to distance himself from mid-table. Team news Hugo Lloris is ...
There’s Virus In The Camp! Louis Van Gaal Admits Illness Has Struck Old Trafford Manchester United boss Louis Van Gaal has revealed the presence of a virus in the camp which has already claimed Belgian pair Adnan Januzaj and Marouane Fellaini. Van Gaal's men put Newcastle United to the sword at Old Trafford yesterday to strengthen their grip on third place in the Premier League. But there will be no rest for the Red Devils, who are due to head to White Hart Lane to play Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow. And Van Gaal, providing an injury update, admitted that there has been a virus going around the club, which has affected some players more than others. "Januzaj is ill. It is a virus that is now running in the air", he said "The virus has approached a lot of players, but for him, it was too much. "Also Fellaini… I think it is the Belgium virus! Will he be ready for Spurs? No he is ill. "Fellaini and Adnan are not ready." The Dutchman, who is waiting to discover the extent of an injury picked up in training b ...
United continued their excellent recent run with a comfortable victory over Alan Pardew's Magpies who themselves are now in the middle of a poor run Manchester United continued their recent excellent run of form with a 3-1 win over inconsistent Newcastle at Old Trafford. Wayne Rooney was in top form, scoring twice, while Robin van Persie continued his recent resurgence with another goal as Louis Van Gaal's men continued their top four assault. Always in charge from the moment they took the lead, the Red Devils now head to White Hart Lane on Sunday on an eight game unbeaten run. Here's five things we learned at Old Trafford: 1 Rooney loves (or should that be hates) Newcastle The Magpies must be sick of the sight of the England skipper. Since turning down a move to Tyneside a decade ago, Newcastle have become Rooney's favourite opponents to stick it to. His clinical double here made it 12 goals against the Toon Army, more than he's managed against any other club. He also turned provider with a delicious cli ...

Van Gaal has spoken of his admiration of Spurs and Jimmy Greaves. When pushed on whether he was interested in the Tottenham job, Van Gaal's answer suggested that had United not come calling, he could easily have been in the Spurs dugout next season, per Laurie Whitwell of the Mail Online: It was very close. Very close. As a little boy I was a fan of Tottenham Hotspur with the team of Jimmy Greaves when he was the champion. Jimmy Greaves was my idol. They had fantastic white shirts. So I was very close. Jamie Carragher: On my way home from White Hart Lane on Sunday evening, I sent Steven Gerrard a message as I do after most Liverpool games. Normally I’ll ask him how he felt the match went or for his views on any major talking points but this time, having watched Liverpool dismantle Manchester United, no questions needed answering. So I punched the words ‘Twice as good as 2009’ into my phone. I know what it is like to go to Old Trafford and win by three goals but I couldn’t tell you how it feels to go there, play United off the park and make them spend the last 10 minutes chasing shadows as Liverpool’s ecstatic fans shout ‘Ole!’ with each tormenting pass. When we won 4-1 in March 2009, the final score was a little distorted. Don’t get me wrong, our display was superb but we had to deal with spells of pressure, trailed to a Cristiano Ronaldo penalty and only pulled away in the last 13 minutes with two goals after Nemanja Vidic had been sent off. I remember the celebrations in the away end b ...

Liverpool took full advantage by thrashing Manchester United3-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday with the visitors being awarded three penalties, while Nemanja Vidic was sent off by Mark Clattenburg for a second yellow card for an apparent foul on Daniel Sturridge, although replays showed the striker had dived. Am I missing the point? Alan Pardew….Well to be honest I feel sorry for the bloke but at the same time he frustrates the life out of me. The Tottenham defeat angered me so much that I had to write… I honestly think Pardew is the only manager on this planet that would work under Ashley and he knows he will never get a chance to manage a club like Newcastle United again. So for all those prats saying he should resign, think again. Would you quit a club with the history, pedigree and potential of Newcastle United? That’s without mentioning the passionate heartbroken fanbase. Unfortunately, I have recently starting losing or lost, patience with the bloke. He insults our intelligence by saying “Joe Kinnear worked hard and it’s a shame to see him leave” and I am also sick of the pathetic “The dog ate my homework” excuses when we lose. I do understand people’s argument about winning at Old Trafford and at White Hart Lane, but is beating Man United really a massive win when you look at how poor ...
THE TRUTH ABOUT MATA EXIT FROM CHELSEA- When Chelseasnatched Willian from the clutches of Tottenham Hotspurin the summer transfer window, pundits and fans alike believed it was a move to weaken Tottenham rather than strengthen Chelsea. The former Anzhi Makhachkala winger seemed destined for a move to White Hart Lane, but as Daniel Levy wrangled over every penny, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich made a personal call to Anzhi’s owner Suleyman Kerimov to offer £32million up front and bring the big-haired Brazilian to Stamford Bridge. At the start of the season, it seemed like Chelsea had bought Willian for the purpose of scorning their rivals, as the 25-year-old was seemingly consigned to substitute appearances and the odd start in the League Cup, much like Juan Mata. Blossomed But since November, Willian has blossomed, integrating himself into the Chelsea starting line-up while Mata was left to kick his heels on the bench and seek pastures new, and eventually swapped Stamford Bridge for Old Trafford in J . ...

It's a good point for us following others at White Hart Lane and Old Trafford and three vs City!
Prime Minister David Cameron believes West Ham can follow up their unexpected 2-1 League Cup victory over Tottenham at White Hart Lane by taking all three points away to Manchester United. Cameron took part in BBC Sport’s weekly ‘Ask Lawro’ feature, where selected celebrities and public figures predict the scores of Premier League fixtures with BBC Football ‘Expert’ Mark Lawrenson. And, quite surprisingly, Cameron has predicted that the Hammers will be victorious at Old Trafford on Saturday afternoon, coming away with a 2-1 win. The Prime Minister is currently visiting British troops in Afghanistan, and our boys also gave their predictions for the weekend’s top-flight programme, although they weren’t as generous to us Hammers as they predicted a 3-1 win for David Moyes’ men. Many readers will believe that Cameron doesn’t get many things right, but let’s hope he’s right this time around. Personally I think his prediction was influenced by well-known West Ham fan and US President Barac ...
Tottenham will meet West Ham in the quarter- finals of the Capital One Cup after ousting Hull City on penalties. White Hart Lane will play host to the all- London affair and West Ham will fancy their chances of causing an upset having downed their rivals 3-0 in the Premier League earlier this month. Jose Mourinho's Chelsea have been drawn against the winner of next week's clash between Sunderland and Southampton, with last year's semi-finalists expected to once again progress to the final four. Four-time winners Manchester United will face a familiar opponent in Stoke City, who they narrowly beat 3-2 at Old Trafford on the weekend. Manchester City will travel to the only Championship side remaining in the competition -- Leicester City. Manuel Pellegrini's side required extra time goals from Alvaro Negredo and Edin Dzeko to seal their place in the next round. City will be hoping to win the trophy for the first time since 1976. All ties will be played in the week beginning December 16.
Poll of the day : Which player did Manchester United release too soon? The Red Devils have allowed several youngsters to leave Old Trafford in recent seasons, who have gone on to flourish elsewhere, but which one should they have kept hold of? Manchester United look to have another young star in the making in the shape of Adnan Januzaj, who scored twice on Saturday to inspire his side to a comeback victory against Sunderland. The champions are now ramping up the efforts to keep the teenager at the club having seen several other youngsters leave Old Trafford and flourish elsewhere. One such player is Ravel Morrison who hit the headlines on Sunday, scoring a superb individual strike as West Ham thrashed Tottenham 3-0 at White Hart Lane, described as a "genius goal" by manager Sam Allardyce. Elsewhere, Gerard Pique has won the Champions League twice and the Spanish league three times since leaving England and returning to Barcelona. Midfielder Paul Pogba is another who has gone on to enjoy success, helping J ...

Januzaj to get 2,900% pay rise - or perhaps a 4,900% pay rise. Or maybe 5,900%: The Sun, Daily Mirror and Daily Mail all report that Manchester United's 18-year-old Belgian sensation Adnan Januzaj will be handed a vast pay rise to keep him at Old Trafford on a long-term deal. That will translate to a pay bump from £1,000 a week to £30,000 a week (according to The Sun), £50,000 a week (if you read the Mirror) and £60,000 a week (in the Daily Mail). The deal will come quickly, since the player's existing contract expires next summer. "Old Trafford chiefs are desperate not to be embarrassed again in the same way they were with Paul Pogba," the Sun reports, referring to Alex Ferguson's refusal to give in to Pogba's demands that precipitated a ...

Juan Mata move and half-time tweaks revive Jose Mourinho's Chelsea mojo "You’re not special any more,” crowed those with a cockerel on their chests. Mourinho stayed calm, stayed focused and intervened at half-time, making the changes that turned the tide here at White Hart Lane. If the opening 45 minutes, and particularly the build-up to Gylfi Sigurdsson’s goal, highlighted Spurs’ exciting progress under Andre Villas-Boas, events after the break provided a reminder of Mourinho’s undimmed alchemist qualities, not to mention supplying a riposte to Spurs’ sceptical choirs. He has made mistakes on his return to English football, not least the bewildering decision to loan Romelu Lukaku to Everton and that agenda-driven, forward-free system at Old Trafford, but Mourinho still possesses the ability to reclaim the initiative from the rival dug-out. It was not simply the introduction of Juan Mata for the overwhelmed John Obi Mikel that gave Chelsea more creativity and eventually a deserved point when t ...

The Premier League fixtures for the 2013/14 season have been revealed and Jose Mourinho’s second tenure at Chelsea will begin at Stamford Bridge against Hull City. Blues fans will hope that this proves to be a good omen as they famously completed a league and FA Cup double under Carlo Ancelotti the last time they played the Tigers on the opening day. Perhaps more interesting is Chelsea’s second fixture, which is currently scheduled for Saturday August 24th - but will not doubt be moved for TV coverage against Manchester United. It will be David Moyes’ first league game at Old Trafford as the home manager, and a good result here could set a precedent for Mourinho’s side – despite it being so early in the campaign. Towards the end of September the Chelsea boss will travel to White Hart Lane, where one of Mourinho’s former charges Andre Villas-Boas is currently the Spurs manager. Matches between the two are always looked forward to as neither side are particularly fond of each other, but the whol ...

So Manchester United are willing to break transfer fee record to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford, and if that doesn't happen they have a backup of 85 million lined up to lure Gareth Bale away from White Hart Lane, which do you think they'll get and do you think this is wise? -Dan
On the pitch Juan Mata is a fighter and never gives up, this is his second season for Chelsea with 20goals and 37assist’s this season for a midfielder that is outstanding and you can see how important he is for us., if it wasn’t for him we would of been a lot worse off this season than we actually are. I mean just look at a few game’s for example, take out his goals and assist’s and we would of: Lost to Spurs at White Hart Lane and Arsenal at the Emirates, drawn with United at Old Trafford. These are just 3 games and if you think about it they where big game’s where we got 9 points because he scored or assited in those matches 4goals and 2assist’s. 2 Goals where winners another goal brought us level and the last goal put us two ahead. Both assist’s put us ahead in 2 games. He leads by example and for a 25 year old he play’s with the Drive and Bite that we see from the Old Guard. He is been Chelsea’s Player of the Year 2 years running and he rightly deserves it he has been pivotal for us ...
Ten Targets David Moyes Should Sign In the Summer Transfer Window: 10. Gareth Bale- Tottenham Hotspur The future of Gareth Bale will probably be the biggest story of the summer. Bale is one of the most highly rated players in Europe following a stunning campaign in which he scored 23 goals for Spurs. The club narrowly missed out on next seasons Champions League and many feel that because of that, Bale will leave White Hart Lane this summer. Manchester United are amongst a number of clubs who have shown interest in Bale and United have a history of signing players with pace and skill. Bale has been compared to a younger Ryan Giggs, who used to terrorise full backs when he played on the left wing. Strong, powerful, skilful and with an eye for goal, Bale is a world class player who would fit in well at Old Trafford. At the moment it looks as if Spanish giants Real Madrid are front runners for the Welshman's signature but Spurs legend Glenn Hoddle believes that Bale would be better off moving to Old Trafford. ...
MY MOMENTS: Jan Vertonghen Over the coming week on tottenhamhotspur.com, we'll be talking to the first team about their favourite moments of the 2012/2013 season. First up, Jan Vertonghen on beating Arsenal and Manchester United... "The win against Arsenal at home was great. That was when we really felt like a team together with the supporters. "It was a great game for us. The win at Old Trafford as well. The first half that day was probably our best half of the season, we were unbelievable. "To win that was very special. It was a great feeling to beat Arsenal. It was my first North London Derby at White Hart Lane and everyone was so happy afterwards.
In over 40 years of watching Watford FC ive seen them play in a Cup Final, play in Europe, play-off finals (twice), been part of our smallest ever crowd when we were bottom of the old 4th division, lived through the golden eras of Graham Taylor/Elton John, witnessed the disasters of the Simpson/Vialla era's that nearly saw WFC go bust, travelled thousands of miles to far flung outposts like Barnsley, Tranmere, Exeter, Wrexham, Oldham etc...Had the priviledge of following the golden boys to Old Trafford, White Hart Lane, Hillsborough, Villa Park, Highbury etc... But today..without a doubt..is the biggest day in the history of Watford Football club..to the old stagers like myself who have been there and done that, the kids who are living the dream for the 1st time today, the loyal Hornets who have travelled the world to be here today and the thousands out there with the Golden Boys of Hertfordshire running through ur veins.lets witness history..ENJOY THE DAY!!! COYH'S!
well. it is confirmed, after having played one of my last professional matches of fitbaw at old Trafford 3 years ago (also being crowned champion there too). I have been asked to come out of retirement to play at White Hart lane on Tuesday for retailers against - THE MEDIA! Yeah it may be viewed by some as a step down from Old Trafford, but any chance to play against the media was an opportunity i could not turn down!
Old Trafford side set sights on White Hart Lane attacker. Man United are set to launch a mammoth bid for Tottenham winger Gareth Bale as David Moyes sets about moves to bring in summer additions to strengthen his Old Trafford squad. CaughtOffside understands that the Premier League title holders have deliberately held back on expressing any concrete interest in the 23 year old Welsh international as the club had hoped to lure former attacker Cristiano Ronaldo back from Real Madrid. However secret talks between outgoing chief executive David Gill and Bernabeu president Florentino Perez appear to left Man United realising that such a move would be next to impossible. This has led United to direct their attention to Bale, with Sir Alex Ferguson advising his board to dig deep and make a substantial offer for the Tottenham star, especially now that the North London club have failed to secure a Champions League berth for the coming season. Buoyed by the completion of a number of big money sponsorship deals Man ...
Cup run continues. Won at Old Trafford and now beat Newcastle after extra time in the replay. White Hart Lane in the QF.
GETTING EVER UNPREDICTABLE! Who could have imagined that the mighty Barcelona could lose to Real Madrid twice in three days, bringing it to a total of three loses and a draw in four matches this season! But Madrid and Mourinho did not stop there…they got to Old Trafford and won their third straight top-of-the-bill clash in seven days! Arsenal, on their part, lost to Tottenham in that six-pointer of a derby. And with Chelsea scrapping one over their recent nemesis, West Brom, dear Gunners are trudging behind in that London race to top four! Arsenal didn’t deserve to lose at White Hart Lane but then we hear that most of the time. The way Wenger's men played, there’s still some fight left there. They started the match, very cautiously and controlled the game admirably. This one, they controlled from kick off. But when one has Gareth Bale, he usually dreams of the impossible. The first Tottenham meaningful attack on Arsenal goal resulted in a goal…after 35 minutes! Another quick one followed three mi ...

Ferguson fined over linesman criticism. LONDON, Feb 8, 2013 (AFP) - Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson has been fined for misconduct after implying that a linesman was biased during the club's recent match with Tottenham, the Football Association said on Friday. The governing body said an independent regulatory commission had ordered the Old Trafford boss to pay 12,000 pounds ($19,000, 14,000 euros) for his post-match comments about assistant referee Simon Beck on January 20. Ferguson denied the charge and requested a hearing, but he was found to have been in breach of FA Rule E3, which governs "technical area occupants and tunnel incidents". He made the comments in the immediate aftermath of the 1-1 draw at White Hart Lane and was angry that United were not given a penalty for a foul on Wayne Rooney midway through the second half. Spurs went on to *** a late equaliser. Ferguson claimed that United had "history" with Beck following the official's failure to rule that a Didier Drogba goal for Chels .. ...
The History Of Old Trafford (1909-1999) In 1910 Manchester United moved from Bank Street, Clayton to Old Trafford. Built in 1909, for the then huge sum of £60,000 it was terraced on three sides with a seated main stand undercover. The stadium was designed by famous Scottish architect Archibald Leitch, who also designed stands at Hampden Park, White Hart Lane and Ibrox Stadium. In 1911 and 1915 it held the FA Cup Final and in 1920 it had its largest ever attendance of 70,504 for a league game against Aston Villa, the FA Cup Semi of 1939 of Portsmouth vs Grimsby would top that with 76,962.The stadium was heavily damaged in World War 2 and for a while United played at local rival, Man City's ground, Maine Road from 1946-49. Old Trafford was a venue for the 1966 World Cup and also held the 1970 FA Cup Final replay between Chelsea and Leeds. Roofed cover was later added to the other three sides of the stadium, however all these stands suffered from obstructed views because of old fashioned roof-post design. In t ...
Sir Alex Ferguson has thrown his weight behind David De Gea and told the Manchester United goalkeeper to ignore any detractors in the press. The Spaniard pulled off a string of superb saves during last weekend's 1-1 draw with Tottenham but was criticised following Clint Dempsey’s late equaliser at White Hart Lane, having only half-cleared Benoit Assou-Ekotto’s initial cross. Since then, the media have had a field day, condemning the 22-year-old's burgeoning Old Trafford career while also linking him with transfers to Barcelona and Real Madrid. Speaking to MUTV on Friday, Sir Alex dismissed such wild speculation and backed the youngster to handle the situation: "It has been over the top. It's always over the top when it comes to criticism here. "The boy has got to brush it aside. Thirty seconds from time, he was a revelation according to most people. He was fantastic and made some fantastic saves. I'm not interested in discussing the criticism now because it's unfounded." The boss also addressed the si ...
Musings on the Semi Final... Flags at Villa Park. Oh very dear. For a minute there I thought it was White Hart Lane! Message to Villa: I'm certainly no fan of the Mancs or Bindippers, but have you ever seen those two-bob plastic flags at Old Trafford or Anfield? I think not. Think about it. (I was going to include Chelsea and Arsenal in the above but as they've done exactly the same in recent seasons, I couldn't... less said the better methinks). If Bradford beat the Original Plastics or Swansea at Wembley, they'll have won more silverware than *** in the last seven years. How d'you like them apples Gooners?!! Amazing they could be in Europe as well if they manage to pull it off - highly unlikely but entirely plausible. Villa. This could well finish them off. An appearance at Wembers could possibly have given them enough momentum to stay up, even with so many under-performing players this season. Unless they buy a few before the end of the month, imo it could well be goodnight...

Please comment your views. 08/01/2013 08:41 The Sun's Neil Custis writes... Fergie wants Frank Manchester United want Frank Lampard and the Chelsea star is ready to move to Old Trafford. Lampard has been told he is no longer wanted at Stamford Bridge, with his contract set to run out in the summer. United manager Alex Ferguson is convinced the veteran midfielder, 34, can still do ajob at the very highest level. He is a long-time admirer of the player and tried to get him before he even joined Chelsea. It is unlikely a deal will be donethis month — when a fee would be involved — while Lampard is also keento see out the rest of the season at Stamford Bridge. But United are prepared to offer him a one-year deal in the summer, with the promise of a second year if everything goes well. In further transfer gossip, the Daily Mail is linking United with a move for Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera. Reports in Turkey claim a £14m offer has been made. The Independent, meanwhile, reports that Crystal Pala ...
New Tottenham signing Zeki Fryers left Manchester United because he felt 'disrespected' by the Sir Alex Ferguson after he was offered £1,500-per-week to stay at Old Trafford before he ultimately arrived at White Hart Lane. -SZ
These are not happy times at Arsenal. All is not roses with Tottenham Hotspur either. While the Gunners are feeling déjà vu all over again as a title challenge is all but abandoned, and questions are raised against both manager and owner, Tottenham are also feeling a pinch. Andre Villas-Boas' standing has oscillated through his short time at White Hart Lane from risky appointment to praised reformer back to being doubted again. Villas-Boas' tactical twiddling has not impressed, and his team have regularly gone ahead only to blow their advantage. From the first home match of the season, when a lead against West Brom was converted only into a 1-1 draw, Spurs have too often surrendered their primacy. It happened last week at Manchester City, too, where an early goal from Steven Caulker was wiped out and then overtaken by a City team that had been let back into the game. That the same also nearly happened at Old Trafford, in Villas-Boas' keynote victory of the season, shows a worrying pattern in the latter ...
Chelsea.Mata.Attack...ruins tears of joy enjoyed at Old Trafford...Tottenham gud game bt.anyways gud game...AVB ur "good relation" wid Di Matteo showed in the post match signing off at White Hart Lane...not an eye met each other...brilliant...
For JB Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas said it was a special night for his team as they recorded their first win at Manchester United for 23 years. After taking a 2-0 lead through Jan Vertonghen and Gareth Bale, Tottenham had to hold firm as Nani and Shinji Kagawa scored either side of Clint Dempsey's first Spurs goal. "We spoke about making history at half-time," said Villas-Boas. "We knew we would be under pressure. The team excelled themselves." The result was arguably Villas-Boas's best victory in English football, having been employed at White Hart Lane this summer following his sacking by Chelsea last season. It also extends Tottenham's unbeaten run to seven games after losing against Newcastle on the opening day of the season. Villas-Boas screamed with delight at the final whistle but was keen to point out that it was a win which came as a result of team effort. "Winning at Old Trafford is very difficult," the Portuguese coach told BBC Sport. "But we can't make it an individual night for anybody, ...

Unbelieveable, the Nou Camp is not in FIFA13 but White Hart Lane is, Thank God they have kept Old Trafford in it!
Now, at last, the truth - as opposed to "The Truth" - about Hillsborough is out there. There can be no more nudge-nudge, no more attempts to alleviate the blame being pinned on those who were responsible for one of the worst cover-ups ever perpetrated on the people of this country. As David Cameron stood in the Commons on Wednesday, to finally apologise for 23 years of lies, evasions, distortions and scapegoating, the families and friends of the 96 victims were at last entitled to believe they have been vindicated utterly. But as the city of Liverpool came together, as football as a whole, fans from up and down the land, reached out to share their embrace, the game has an opportunity it must grasp. Too often, at Anfield, Old Trafford, Elland Road, Stamford Bridge, White Hart Lane, the Emirates and other grounds, the game we all love has been disfigured, damaged, blackened by the tribal chants that have no understanding. Nobody can claim they have not heard them. Nobody can deny their own club is free of ...
White Hart Lane boss keen on Old Trafford forward. It has emerged on Wednesday that Tottenham…
How many clubs can boast about winning the league at Old Trafford, Anfield as well as White Hart Lane??? NONE, barring our very own ARSENAL. A proud GOONER... :)
3-2 at Old Trafford now and it's all Fulham, what a game! At the other end of the scale, it's still 0-0 at White Hart Lane.
Would it be too much to ask for Fulham to beat Utd at Old Trafford and for West Brom to triumph at White Hart Lane...? Add to that a win at Stoke tomorrow and my weekend will have been an awesome one!
nice photo mate, I would love to go to Old Trafford, St. James' Park, Stamford Bridge and White Hart Lane!!
Modric: Manchester United fail again in the transfer market With debts of almost £500m, the club keep failing to land leading targets as the Croatian joins an impressive list of stars to slip through the Old Trafford outfit's grasp 28 Jun 2012 10:00:00 he has crossed off the list in recent years before turning to Plan B. The latest is Luka Modric, the Tottenham midfielder who Ferguson has been tracking for several years and tried to sign for Manchester United in the last two summers. EPL,Luka Modric,Tottenham Hotspur v Wolverhampton Wanderers On both occasions, the major stumbling block has been Tottenham's £40 million-valuation of the Croatian and United's refusal - or inability - to pay what they consider an excessive asking price. Modric would be perfect for United. The most natural successor to Paul Scholes to pull the strings in midfield, the former Dinamo Zagreb star now looks likely to join Real Madrid, with his departure from White Hart Lane almost certain. It has been a familiar theme for U ...
Ancelotti wants PSG to wreck Man Utd plans for Modric PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti wants to wreck Manchester United plans for Luka Modric. The Daily Mail says the Italian is willing to offer Tottenham a more lucrative financial deal than Manchester United. The Spurs midfielder is keen to leave White Hart Lane this season in search of Champions League football. United are in the driving seat to land the Croatia international after the Old Trafford club were notified that the playmaker would be happy to join ahead of next season. But Sir Alex Ferguson will face competition from Former Chelsea manager Ancelotti in his attempts to lure Modric to United. My take Sir Alex, pls, do something fast, mockers are waiting and watching!

Manchester United won't go higher than £30 million for Tottenham star Luka Modric. The Daily Star says Modric, 26, penned a new long-term deal at White Hart Lane before the start of last season and is valued in the £40m bracket. Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will not be prepared to sell his star on the cheap and will dig his heels in should Fergie come calling. United will not offer more than £30m, though, and Fergie will be hoping the midfielder can force Spurs’ hand by telling them he wants to go to Old Trafford.
Be a good sport and show some live scenes from Old Trafford and White Hart Lane. Lots of love, all Arsenal and ManCiteh fans
New stadiums are great, but you can't build history overnight. The likes of Old Trafford, Anfield, Stamford Bridge, Villa Park, White Hart Lane and Goodison Park may have changed greatly over the last century, but they still retain a huge amount of memories. Still, it is remarkable just how much the...
Yeah, times really are changing, will have to be a performance up their with White Hart Lane and Old Trafford
Back from White Hart Lane. That was the worst performance of any team I've ever seen, and I saw the same Blackburn team get hammered 7-1 at Old Trafford last season.
Congrats to ... heading back to Old Trafford, Anfield, Stamford Bridge, Goodison Park, St James' Park, White Hart Lane.
White Hart Lane, St James Park, Old Trafford, Goodison, Anfield, Villa Park, Fratton Park (we'll be off there)
It's a dump of a ground. Great stadiums in the UK are Anfield,Old Trafford,St James's Park and White Hart Lane.
Eish! I never knew there were so many Barcelona supporters from the White Hart Lane,Anfield,The Emirates and Old Trafford... :-)
I like like the cool names like Chelsea's Stamford Bridge, Old Trafford, Craven Cottage, White Hart Lane, etc. Not just _Field

No English Club had Ever Won the Title at their Rival's Ground. WE DID; (Old Trafford), (Anfield) and twice at (White Hart Lane)
Steve Fletcher has now scored at Old Trafford, the Emirates and White Hart Lane. Not a bad trinity, that.
