Fulham vs Liverpool Preview, Possible Lineups & Predictions Fulham vs Liverpool : Fulham welcome Liverpool at Craven Cottage on Wednesday as the both sides meet each other in a Premier League match-up. Liverpool arrive at London, in back of a fantastic 5-1 victory over Fulham’s London rivals, Arsenal at Anfield on Saturday and the Reds would look to bag in another victory to further intensify their chances of finishing at top four this season. Fulham, meanwhile also return to home with their heads held up high, after an impressive point earned against Manchester United at Old Trafford, a point which would be crucial in their run for Premier League survival this season. Liverpool won against the Cottagers in the reverse fixture by 4-0, and would look to replicate the same performance they showed at Anfield. Last season’s corresponding fixture ended up 3-1 in the favour of away side, Liverpool as well. Fulham have been terrible in home so far this season, losing 12 of their last 16 Barclays Premier Leag ...

PREVIEW Fulham v Aston Villa, Premier League | Craven Cottage | Sun 8 Dec | 1:30pm Billed as Rene Meulensteen's second crack at making his first week as Fulham's new manager a happy one. The lowdown Aston Villa ’s 3-2 win at Southampton snuck under the radar a tad, given it came on the same night as Everton’s win at Old Trafford, but the result meant the Toffees are now the only team on a longer unbeaten run in the Premier League than Paul Lambert’s side. FULHAM FORM Fulham 1-2 Tottenham (Prem) West Ham 3-0 Fulham (Prem) Fulham 1-2 Swansea (Prem) Liverpool 4-0 Fulham (Prem) Fulham 1-3 Man Utd (Prem) Aston Villa FORM So'ton 2-3 Aston Villa (Prem) Aston Villa 0-0 S'land (Prem) WBA 2-2 Aston Villa (Prem) Aston Villa 2-0 Cardiff (Prem) West Ham 0-0 Aston Villa (Prem) Villa haven’t lost in five – their best league run in a year. That good form was well and truly killed off by an 8-0 gubbing at Chelsea, so it may be with some trepidation that they head back to west London this Sunday. Fulham were much ...
Fulham hope Rene Meulensteen’s links will help Old Trafford raid be a success Fulham will attempt a double raid on Manchester United in the new year in an attempt to sign Wilfried Zaha and Anderson on loan. The moves follow the appointment at Craven Cottage of former Old Trafford coach Rene Meulensteen, who will work alongside manager Martin Jol in a bid to change the club’s fortunes and pull them out of the Premier League bottom three. The Cottagers hope Meulensteen’s links with United will help seal a deal for the two players who are struggling for playing time under new manager David Moyes. Newcastle are also interested in Zaha but Fulham, who have also been linked with a move to bring Seattle Sounders striker Clint Dempsey back to the club on a temporary basis, hope a move back to London will clinch the deal. They have struggled for consistency and need a dramatic turnaround if they are to secure their top flight status for new owner Shahid Khan.
The champions may resort to a more physical approach in order to knock the likes of Mikel Arteta and Mesut Ozil off their game as they bid to haul in the table-topping GunnersWith Arsenal's stunning 1-0 victory over Borussia Dortmund on Wednesday evening added to their professional dismantling of Liverpool last Saturday, a tough task for Manchester United just got that bit harder. The Gunners lead the Premier League by five points – ahead of the Red Devils by eight – sit top of a difficult Champions League group, and travel to Old Trafford brimming with confidence. The signing of Mesut Ozil has galvanised a squad on the cusp of realising their potential, with Aaron Ramsey, Olivier Giroud, Per Mertesacker and Tomas Rosicky standing up to be counted for Wenger’s side like never before. For thier part, United have steadied the ship after a stormy start to Moyes’ reign at Old Trafford, winning three of their past four games and blowing Fulham away at Craven Cottage last weekend with three goals in the ...
REAL SOCIEDAD v Manchester United Without a point to their name in the 2013/14 UEFA Champions League, Basque club Real Sociedad are in a must win situation against Manchester United at San Sebastian. But can the team know in Spain as La Real actually beat David Moyes' Red Devils? Well, it's certainly possible with the Old Trafford side nowhere near as trustworthy as they used to be. But then we must also consider that Real Sociedad - who were, albeit deservedly, punching above their weight by finishing fourth in La Liga last season - have also failed to impress in the early stages of 2013/14, with the loss of manager Montanier and star midfielder Illarramendi largely to blame. Indeed, between a 2-0 victory over Lyon in their Champions League qualifier and a surprise 2-1 defeat of Valencia in La Liga, Real Sociedad (2/1) went almost two months without winning a game. Of course, if we're fair, we have to allow a little time for a new manager to bed in and a team to adjust to the loss of its midfield schemer ...
David Moyes admits Javier Hernandez may have done enough to force his way into the champions' side for their English Premier League clash away to Fulham on Saturday. The Mexico striker scored twice in United's 4-0 midweek win over Norwich City in the League Cup and has consequently given Moyes a selection headache for this weekend's match at Craven Cottage. Hernandez has frequently been used as an substitute behind leading strikers Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney this season, but Moyes praised the attitude shown by the 25-year-old and said Hernandez, far from being content with his bench role, was among a number of fringe players at Old Trafford pushing for regular first-team football. "I've been really pleased for Javier because it's been a slow start for him," Moyes said on Friday. "It's been a difficult summer coming back and then back and forth to Mexico for all the games they've had to play. "But he's started to do what he's done over the years which is to score goals. He scored in midweek so long ...
Old Trafford four times in 10 days followed by a cheeky little trip to Craven Cottage! Oh United we love you!
The 5 Grounds yet to see a 0-0 this season are Craven Cottage, Old Trafford, St.James Park, The Etihad and The DW Stadium
Breaking up is hard to do, but if it comes down to a straight choice between the girlfriend and a competition that offers plenty of passion and romance, there's only one winner Dear Deirdre, I'm not a bad guy but I'm considering leaving my girlfriend at home on Valentine's Day to spend this most romantic of manufactured holidays with someone else. I know it sounds heartless but it's just that I've been seeing someone else on Thursday nights for about two years now. Her name's Europa and I've really fallen for her. It's funny, because when we first met in 2009 I wasn't the least bit interested in Europa. She seemed a bit desperate, was a tad too big for my liking, and, to be brutally honest, I was really far more into her elder, far more glamorous sister. But gradually I've come to love Europa, and indeed our Thursday nights together. Who can forget that magical night at Craven Cottage when Fulham routed Juventus? Or when Athletic Bilbao outclassed Manchester United at Old Trafford... Such wonderful memori ...
Team of the Week EPL It was a tale of two goalkeepers as Queens Park Rangers and Norwich City fought out a goalless draw at Loftus Road, with the key intervention coming from the Canaries' Mark Bunn. An injury to Norwich's England international goalkeeper John Ruddy has left Bunn with big boots to fill - but he showed he has risen to the occasion here, making a fine one-handed save from Adel Taarabt's penalty after being adjudged to have brought down Jamie Mackie. Further good stops followed as he kept out a Taarabt piledriver and, with time running out, denied Loftus Road debutant Andros Townsend a winner by tipping his long-range swerver around the post. Against Manchester United at Craven Cottage, Fulham produced a performance unrecognisable from the feeble effort they put in against the same opponents at Old Trafford in the FA Cup a week earlier. Their hard work came within a little over ten minutes of earning a point, and right-back Sascha Riether was one of the main reasons for that. His industry wa ...
Back again Premier League fans!!!...Lets look at Wednesday's results...LIVERPOOL visited Arsenal at Emirates Stadium and took a 2 goal lead in the 60th min but couldn't hold off the Gunners as they fought back to a 2-2 draw...Everton got a pair of first half goals from Leighton Baines, one from the penalty spot, and that was enough to beat visiting West Brom, who seem to have come back to earth, by a 2-1 final...Norwich thought they would end their winless streak until Gareth Bale scored late and the match ended 1-1 as Tottenham rescued a road point...Fulham hosted West Ham at Craven Cottage as the soccer gods were smiling on them as an offside goal and an own goal gave them a 3-1 victory over the Hammers...Southampton visited Old Trafford to face the league leading red scum (man u) and brought their A game with them and had the lead after 3 mins but a pair of goals from Wayne Rooney took the lead into the half. The second half Southampton poured it on but could get nothing behind scum keeper David De Ge ...
Manchester United have the chance to extend their lead to 10 points when they visit Fulham on Saturday. United travel to Craven Cottage for the evening kick-off in the knowledge that they can heap further pressure on rivals Manchester City ahead of their clash with Liverpool the following day. Sir Alex Ferguson's side will surely go into this contest in confident mood given that they made easy work of beating Fulham 4-1 last weekend in an FA Cup fourth-round tie at Old Trafford. Wayne Rooney netted in that game and added a further two goals against Southampton in midweek to show there is more to the Red Devils' forward line than Robin van Persie. But for Fulham boss Martin Jol, it's a former United forward causing concern as Dimitar Berbatov misses out with hamstring problem. That's a big blow for the home side as the 32-year-old has scored eight goals this season - six of them in the first half of games - and the stage looked set for the mercurial Bulgarian to give his old employers a scare at the weeken ...
Martin Jol is yet to decide whether Emmanuel Frimpong is fit enough to make his Fulham debut in Wednesday's London derby against West Ham. Frimpong has signed on loan from Arsenal for the rest of the season, but he did not complete the move in time to be involved in Saturday's 4-1 FA Cup defeat at Manchester United. Jol has suggested the 21-year-old midfielder could play a part at Craven Cottage in midweek if he proves his fitness. "He will train with us and then we'll see how fit he is and whether he can play on Wednesday," said Jol. "I feel he can play a good part in our squad." The Cottagers' cup hopes were crushed at Old Trafford as Aaron Hughes' goal proved a mere consolation, but midfielder Alex Kacaniklic is confident Fulham can produce a response against the Hammers. "We know that we need to raise our game and a win against West Ham would put things back on track," he said. "It's been a difficult period and January has been a strange month for us. It started well with a win at West Bromwich Albion ...

Decipher are the 'United' to our 'Old Trafford' (Nigel prefers the 'Fulham' to our 'Craven Cottage').
Berbatov at the double as Fulham win 15 September 2012, 19:25 Dimitar Berbatov marked his Fulham homedebut with two goals in a 3-0 Premier League victory over 10-man West Bromwich Albion at Craven Cottage on Saturday. The former Manchester United striker, making his first start since a deadline-day move from Old Trafford, opened the scoring in the 32nd minute before adding a second from the penalty spot on the stroke of halftime. Fulham midfielder Steve Sidwell made it 3-0 late on. West Brom forward Peter Odemwingie wassent off in between Berbatov's strikes for violent conduct as the Baggies lost in the Premier League for the first time this season. Berbatov's opener came after good work by winger Alex Kacaniklic who got the ball to him despite being surrounded by three West Brom defenders. The 31-year-old then did the rest, beating Ben Foster with a shot he bent inside the goalkeeper's left post. Soon afterwards, Nigeria winger Odemwingie was shown a straight red card for kicking out at Sascha Riether. B ...

Ahead of Man Utd's game with Fulham, Do you know that on two of the three occasions that Man Utd have lost on the opening day, they have gone on to win the EPL title. Fulham's last victory over Man U came in 2009 at Craven Cottage. The Londoners haven't been on the winning side at Old Trafford for nine years, since 2003. United's defensive woes are set to continue with Rio Ferdinand (groin), Jonny Evans (ankle), Phil Jones (back) and Chris Smalling (toe) all unavailable, meaning Michael Carrick will likely continue in central defence alongside Nemanja Vidic. Despite dis, all of us at Old Traford re-echo Utd bounce back to winning ways and restore our dignity as d King of EPL. Man Utd for ever!
I know a couple who are going to England in October and have already booked matches at Old Trafford and Craven Cottage.

I like like the cool names like Chelsea's Stamford Bridge, Old Trafford, Craven Cottage, White Hart Lane, etc. Not just _Field
So it is actually more common for a visiting team to get a penalty at Old Trafford than Craven Cottage.
