Baltimore 11, N.Y. Yankees 5, final in Major League Baseball in the Bronx. Ivan Nova got the side out on six pitches in the first, his offense got him five runs off Chris Tillman in the home half - and then I think someone named Murphy occupied Nova's body for the next several innings, including the seven-run second highlighted by a Chris Davis grand slam. Even the LOOGY, Clay Rapada, couldn't do his job. They brought him in to face Nick Markakis in the eighth, and Markakis hit a two-run homer off him. Meanwhile, Tillman allowed just two hits over the next four to win it. As Joaquin Andujar said after the 1985 World Series, "Baseball can be sum up in one word: You never know." But it was a good night, as I got to see Marcus Gaccione for the first time in a dog's age.
Clay Rapada in to replace Ivan Nova who was finally taken out of the game after getting hit in the foot earlier in the game on a comebacker by O's RF Nick Markakis.
SP Ivan Nova leaves w/ leg/ankle injury with one out in 6th. Nick Markakis hit Nova near ankle in 3rd. 5-5 tie in bot 6th
