Patriot This is all 100% factual and accurate. But Obama’s Kenyan connection goes well beyond simply being related to Raila Odinga or being a member of the same Luo tribe. To be precise, and according to a special 2008 ABC News Radio report, in 2006 then Senator Barack Obama violated U.S. Federal Law (the Logan Act, which specifically forbids interference in foreign elections and government policy-making by American politicians), as well as Kenyan law, by actively campaigning for his Muslim cousin, Raila Odinga. In fact, his blatant interference was such that the Kenyan ambassador, Ogingo Ogego, made a public complaint to the U.S. State Department, and Obama was then officially asked to leave the country by the Kenyan government. But his interference didn’t stop there. According to the African Press, secret emails between Obama and Odinga on “how to rig elections, cry voter fraud if losing, and then call for riots in the streets” were also exchanged. (Available on YouTube.) Then, in December 2007, ...

Matt Gutman is an ABC News correspondent based in Miami. He reports for all ABC News broadcasts and platforms, including "World News With Diane Sawyer," "Nightline" and "Good Morning America," as well as ABC News Radio, ABC News NOW and ABCNews.com. Gutman made headlines as part of the ABC News team covering the gulf oil spill, breaking stories on BP's efforts to plug the well, the economic and environmental devastation wrought by the spill and BP's muzzling of the media. Before taking over as the Miami correspondent, Gutman was a correspondent for ABC News Radio in Miami. During that time, he covered the 2008 elections, the earthquake in Haiti, the Tiger Wood's saga and anchored shuttle launches for the network. Gutman arrived in Miami from Jerusalem, where he was the ABC News Radio correspondent for more than two years. In 2006 he covered the war between Israel and Lebanon, reporting from both sides of the shell-pocked border. He has traveled to Afghanistan several times to cover U.S. offensives against ...
Yes' Steve Howe Says Band Is Loving Playing Full Albums In Concert Yes kicked off a new North American tour leg on Saturday with a show in Paso Robles, California. As they did on their previous few treks, the band is performing three of their classic 1970s albums -- 1971's The Yes Album, 1972's Close to the Edge and 1977's Going for the One -- in their entirety at most shows on their current outing. Guitarist Steve Howe says he and his band mates have really embraced playing these full albums live. Basically, we're loving it," he tells ABC News Radio. "To me, it will pale again if we ever go back and just do a set or sets that are just songs from albums. That will seem, somehow, a little bit hard to get used to again." Howe compares performing each album to being on "a long motorway drive," noting that when "you get to the end…you have a sense of celebration that you're at the end of this journey, and those records are a journey." He adds that The Yes Album, Close to the Edge and Going for the One " ...

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 5, 2013 No. 154 www.nyc.gov MAYOR BLOOMBERG DISCUSSES PUBLIC SAFETY IN WEEKLY RADIO ADDRESS The following is the text of Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg’s weekly radio address as prepared for delivery on 1010 WINS News Radio for Sunday, May 5, 2013. “Good Morning. This is Mayor Mike Bloomberg. “Ensuring public safety is government’s most basic responsibility, and it’s one our Administration has focused on from the very start. Last year we set a new record low for murders – and a record low for shootings. And so far this year, murders are down another 34 percent, and shootings are also down another 22 percent. “Those public safety gains are not just statistics – they’re every day New Yorkers whose lives have been saved. Think about it this way: By cutting the number of murders and shootings to new record lows, we’ve helped save 96 lives compared to the year before. And since 2002, we’ve saved 7,364 lives compared to the decade before. Since 2001, we’ve cut ...

My mother in law is on the following boat and is not happy! Carnival Cruise Ship Stranded Near Mexico A Carnival cruise ship carrying more than 4,000 passengers and crew is stranded in the Gulf of Mexico after an engine room fire broke out this morning, representatives for the cruise line said. The fire was extinguished aboard the Carnival Triumph this morning and no injuries were reported. The ship, however, lost power and is relying on a back-up generator as it drifts 477 miles southeast of Galveston, Texas, ABC News owned station KTRK-TV in Houston reported. A tugboat has been sent to the ship’s location in the event it is needed, according to a statement from Carnival, however the crew is working to repair the engines. “If that works I believe they’re going to try to dock somewhere and repair their ship,” U.S. Coast Guard Petty Officer Ryan Tippets told ABC News Radio. The Carnival Triumph departed Galveston on Thursday with 3,143 guests and 1,086 crew on board for a Mexican cruise and was due ...

I apologize for posting so late on this, but here goes. R.I.P. Ed Koch. The outspoken Koch, a man of incredible wit, served three terms as mayor of New York City from January of 1978 through December of 1989. After his time in office, Koch wrote many newspaper columns and made regular appearances of various television and radio programs. Throughout the 1990s, Koch was best known for having a regular time slot on News Radio 770 AM WABC. He also served as the judge on "The Peoples Court" from 1997-1999, replacing the retired Judge Joseph Wapner. Koch became very well known in his time as mayor for refusing to reside in Gracie Mansion. May God be with you Mayor Ed. Gone, but never forgotten.

and hilarious kind of validation of The Simpsons during that show's Glory Days (and it's almost impossible now to recall what a breakthrough The Simpsons was in the early to mid-1990s). I wasn't a big fan of News Radio since I felt that Phil's greatest talents were as a peerless utility player (the reason he was so well suited to SNL, and also the reason that 95 percent of the former cast goes on to make abysmal movies in formats that can never utilize their abilities), and since I didn't care to see him used in a standard sitcom format, but when I would very occasionally tune in there were still those moments sprinkled throughout the shows. The day Phil died was a horrible, horrible day--the only time in my life that I've felt so personally impacted by the death of someone that I didn't personally know. I miss Phil Hartman so much, even almost 15 years later, and he holds a very special place in my own personal Comedy Pantheon--there will never be another like him. Always "The Master". --Jeff Krause

WIBW News Radio The search for a man wanted in connected to the Thursday night shooting death of a man in Mayetta, continues. Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse says 22-year-old Lloyd Wabaunsee is considered extremely dangerous. Authorities say the reasons they believe he may be dangerous is because he is armed, wanted in connection for the shooting, and he is known for idolizing David Tiscareno, the man who shot and killed two Topeka Police Officers last month. Shawnee County Sheriff Herman T. Jones says when dealing with someone like this, officer safety is key. “We’re going to use officer safety. We’re going to also protect the individuals rights because nothing is for certain. This individual is not guilty of anything, so we always have to be conscientious of those types of elements when we’re dealing with the individual. The most important thing is officer safety as well as public safety.” Wabaunsee, is described as a Native American Male, 5'9", weighing 180 lbs, and may ...

Ya know, earlier on in the week KIRO News Radio was talking about Hurricane Sandy and NYC and all the devastation. It was around 1938 that NYC was hit tremendously bad and lost around 600 people. I absolutely HATE listening to Perry & Price in the morning at work, but it's not my radio. They never say anything nice about the President, and just about after every segment, I'm expecting to hear "I'm Mitt Romney and I approve this message." They quote debunked stories and lies so much I swore it was Fox News Radio. Of course KSSK is owned by Clear Channel. Clear Channel is owned by Bain Capital.

I'm just getting to a place with power and a computer so that I can reply to some e-mail. I'm sending this message to everyone who reached out to me by e-mail, so if some of it is redundant with texts or telephone conversations, please forgive me. I moved on Monday afternoon to my friends Tish and Scott's apartment on West 19th Street. They live on the 15th floor. We lost power that evening as the storm was making landfall, and we eventually lost running water, too, because they need power to pump it to the holding tanks atop their building. But they were well stocked with drinking water, foodstuffs, candles, batteries, and even waterless cleaning supplies. I've been camping out on their sofa ever since. Yesterday, we walked down to my place on West Street, below Christopher, to inspect the damage. We walked part of the way along the West Side Highway (West Street), from about Bethune, and we noticed the high-water mark left behind by the surge at high tide on Monday evening. It was up to my waist f ...

So many of the news radio stations in New Jersey are just mocking Gov. Christie and making fun of his weight and saying how horrible of a job he is doing handling the hurricane, but then they give praise to every democrat that is helping. Really?? Making a political battle when people are trapped, or have lost everything, and people have died and they have to bring politics into it. All I have to say is that ALL of the politicians, including Obama, Christie, Bloomberg, and everyone else are doing a tremendous job and should be thanked for and not ridiculed!!
