Subject: FW: Muslims A big earthquake with the strength of 8.1 on the Richter scale hits the Middle East. Two million Muslims die and over a million are injured. Iraq , Iran and Syria are totally ruined and the governments don't know where to start with providing help to rebuild. The rest of the world is in shock. The USA sends troops to help keep the peace. Saudi Arabia sends oil. Latin American countries send clothing. New Zealand and Australia send sheep, cattle and food crops. The Asian countries send labour to assist in rebuilding the infrastructure. Canada sends medical teams and supplies. Great Britain, not to be outdone, sends two million replacement Muslims.
Here's a very eloquent letter: Written by a British housewife to her Daily Newspaper: 'Are we fighting a war on terror or aren't we? Was it or was it not started by Islamic people who brought it to our shores in July 2002, and in New York Sept 11, 2001 and have continually threatened to do so since? Were people from all over the world, not brutally murdered that day in Washington, and in downtown Manhattan , and in a field in Pennsylvania ? Did nearly three thousand men, women and children die a horrible, burning or crushing death that day, or didn't they? And I'm supposed to care that a few Taliban were claiming to be tortured by a justice system of the nation they come from and are fighting against in a brutal insurgency. I'll care about the Koran when the fanatics in the Middle East start caring about the Holy Bible, the mere belief of which is a crime punishable by beheading inAfghanistan .. I'll care when these thugs tell the world they are sorry for hacking off Nick Berg's head while Berg screamed t ...
"12 Medals of Christmas" Just got done laying down my little Christmas tree. It's 4 years worth of joyous work that started at IM Cozumel in 2010. Skipped the 2011 season serving the country in the deserts of the Middle East making the troops healthy to keep America safe.10 counts toward legacy lottery qualification, 2 doesn't. IM New Zealand '12 was shortened to 70.3 due to inclement weather (natural or some would say work of god). IM Lake Tahoe '14 was cancelled due to forest fire which was man made. IM Lake Tahoe '14 is at the bottom cause he did not break a sweat so he has to carry all 11 on his shoulders. The most memorable is IM New Zealand, it was 3 weeks racecation with the family exploring Sydney and the north and south islands of New Zealand. Merry Christmas, everyone...let's enjoy the holiday/off season with friends and family.MORE POWER FIL AM TRI!

Top corrupt countries in the Middle East; survey points to upheaval hotspots, Libya, Syria and Iraq (from @ AP) BERLIN (AP) - The most violent nations in the Middle East are perceived to be the region's most corrupt and are getting worse as political instability allows abuses to flourish, according to a survey released Tuesday by an international watchdog group. Transparency International's annual Corruption Perceptions Index ranks more than four-fifths of countries in the Middle East below 50 on a scale where zero is a country perceived to be highly corrupt and 100 perceived to be very clean. Countries in the region scored an average 37, below the global average of 43. Three countries that have faced persistent upheaval dropped notably over the past year, with Yemen's rating falling five points to 18, Syria dropping nine points to 17, and Libya down six points to 15. Iraq also dropped from 18 to 16. "Imagine what it takes for a country to root out corruption - it always takes institutions with people in ...
It surprises me that Commonwealth Leaders like Stephen Harper, of Canada, and David Cameron, of the United Kingdom, Manmohan Singh, of India, and John Key, of New Zealand, can be critical of the human rights record of Sri Lanka which has just come out of a bloody civil war, when they are either fighting civil wars (Kashmir in India) without adhering to human rights; or actively supporting the actions and war crimes being perpetrated by the United States in Afghanistan, Iraq and the rest of the Middle East, including the Commonwealth's Pakistan; or actively supporting the Zionist Nazis in committing war crimes and genocide against the Palestinian people. Or is it fact, that these leaders, like the US President are criminal hypocrites who deserve to stand in the dock with war criminals like Obama and Netanyahu.

Diamond day: AN adventurous spirit has seen Connolly couple Bill and Emma Wood through 60 happy years of marriage.Since leaving Yorkshire in 1965, they have lived in most Australian cities and fulfilled their love of adventure by climbing Sydney Harbour Bridge and Uluru and flying over the Antarctic. They are looking forward to a hot-air balloon flight, a diamond wedding anniversary gift from son Robert. Yorkshire-born Bill first noticed 13-year-old Emma, whose family were Czech refugees, at school during cooking classes. “Emma was small and they called her half-pint,” Bill said. “I rather liked the little half pint.” The couple met again several years later, marrying on September 7, 1953. Bill (81) served with the British Army in the Middle East, Germany and Cyprus while Emma (81) worked in a textile mill. He later resumed work as a boilermaker-welder, eventually bringing his skills and family to New South Wales as 10-pound Poms. Bill worked around Australia, in New Zealand and in New Caledonia. ...
Indian Shares Seen Largely Unchanged Indian shares are seen opening largely unchanged on Wednesday, tracking mixed global cues. Investors will continue to take cues from rupee movement even as commodities appear to be on a downward trend. Crude and gold futures fell for a fourth straight session Tuesday on easing fears about supplies from the Middle East and as investors mulled the prospects of a cut to the Federal Reserve's $85 billion monthly bond-buying program in October. Bargain hunting following two days of steep losses helped Indian shares end marginally higher on Tuesday. The BSE Sensex ended a volatile session up 19 points or 0.1 percent at 19,920 while the broader Nifty index gained 3 points or 0.05 percent to close at 5,892. In corporate news, Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Veerappa Moily on Tuesday ruled out an increase in diesel and LPG prices for now. The Union Cabinet has approved the methodology for auctioning coal blocks, enabling the government to allot coal mining licenses ...

Indian Shares To Extend Gains On Global Cues Indian shares are seen opening higher on Friday, extending the previous session's rally, after the European Central Bank and Bank of England both said they are prepared to increase stimulus if needed. Key benchmark indexes in Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore and Taiwan are up between 0.5 percent and 1.4 percent ahead of the U.S. non-farm payrolls report due later in the global day. Meanwhile, business activity across emerging economies grew at its slowest pace in more than four years in June, reflecting an overall manufacturing contraction and a drop in new orders, a purchasing managers' survey showed. The composite HSBC Emerging Market Index, which tracks purchasing managers' index reports from 16 emerging economies on a gross domestic product-weighted basis, fell to 50.6 last month from 51.3 in May. Indian shares rose on Thursday, tracking lower crude prices as the threat of a disruption in supplies from the Middle East eased. Sn ...

Chief Theresa Spence, a Canadian aboriginal chief from the remote northern Ontario community of Attawapiskat has been fasting since December 11 and has vowed to continue until Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper personally commits to meet with Native leaders for talks on several complaints, including new legislation that will harm native lands. Spence is at the center of an unprecedented Canadian aboriginal protest movement called "Idle No More" that began with four women in the province of Saskatchewan raising awareness about the Conservative government's budget bill, which was passed earlier this month that scales back environmental protections for lakes and rivers and makes it easier to sell reserve lands. "Flash mob" protests with traditional dancing and drumming have erupted in dozens of shopping malls across North America. There have been rallies, marches and highway blockades by aboriginal groups across Canada and supporters have emerged from as far away as New Zealand and the Middle East. The c ...

The incident occurred around 8 km (5 miles) north of the border with Jordan when gumen stopped a patrol with two officers - one from Austria and one from New Zealand - assigned to the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO), it said. The UNTSO, based in Jerusalem, was formed in 1948 to monitor ceasefires in the Middle East. It has 153 military observers from 25 countries. A separate U.N. force based on the Golan Heights monitors a ceasefire between Syria and Israel. Two Austrian peacekeepers from that unit were shot last month in an area of Damascus where government troops and rebels had fought.

Narcotics Anonymous sprang from the Alcoholics Anonymous Program of the late 1940s, with meetings first emerging in the Los Angeles area of California, USA, in the early Fifties. The NA program started as a small US movement that has grown into one of the world's oldest and largest organizations of its type. For many years, NA grew very slowly, spreading from Los Angeles to other major North American cities and Australia in the early 1970s. In 1983, Narcotics Anonymous published its self-titled Basic Text book, which contributed to tremendous growth. Within a few years, groups had formed in Brazil, Colombia, Germany, India, the Irish Republic, Japan, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. Today, Narcotics Anonymous is well established throughout much of the Americas, Western Europe, Australia, and New Zealand. Newly formed groups and NA communities are now scattered throughout the Indian subcontinent, Africa, East Asia, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe. Narcotics Anonymous books and information pamphlets ...

U.S., allies begin Gulf naval exercise as Israel, Iran enmesh in face-off Tuesday, 18 September 2 A MAJOR naval exercise was launched yesterday by the United States (U.S.) and its allies in the Gulf with a determination to show a global will to keep oil shipping lanes open as Israel and Iran engage in threats of war. The main European naval powers, Britain and France, a number of Middle East states and countries from as far as Estonia and New Zealand are taking part in the exercise. The operation, which was publicly announced in July and known as IMCMEX-12, focuses on clearing mines that Tehran, or guerrilla groups, might deploy to disrupt tanker traffic, notably in the Strait of Hormuz, between Iran and the Arabian peninsula. The event, which began with a symposium for officers from more than 30 navies, came as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told U.S. television viewers on Sunday that Tehran was close to being able to build a nuclear bomb. The Israeli leader’s words fuelled talk of a possibl ...
Got To Read This: India in Africa FOR all its elephantine weight, India has long shown mouselike diplomatic clout. Historically, its diplomacy was constrained by poverty at home, fraught relations with neighbours, notably Pakistan and China, and an anxiety to avoid taking sides in the cold war. Even today, its foreign service remains woefully understaffed: both New Zealand and Singapore have more serving diplomats. Now India is trying harder to get noticed. About time. India's growing economy and population need far more energy than can easily be produced at home, requiring eyes to be raised to distant horizons. Already the world's fourth-biggest oil consumer, within 15 years India will import nearly all its oil. India is set on diversifying supply away from the Middle East. Increasingly, it expects to get supplies from Central Asia and Africa. As it happens, India's prime minister, Manmohan Singh, has just spent Six Days in Africa, along with hordes of Indian ministers and businessmen. An Afro-India summ ...
