Now that the November 2012 election is over and President Obama was safely re-elected, perhaps the U.S. can discuss problems with and/or inconvenient facts about the Obama administration brought up by hidden candidates like the Green Party's Jill Stein such as: -- replacing unemployment compensation with work such as the New Deal's Works Progress Administration (WPA) and Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC); -- extending Medicare to everyone to "save trillions of dollars" by eliminating the "health insurance bureaucracy;" -- downsizing the U.S. military to below its 2000 funding levels; -- ending the Patriot Act and its civil-liberties infringements which reportedly have actually been worse under President Obama than they were under Bush; --- enforcing the immigration laws by President Obama which has deported more immigrants in three years than Bush did in eight.
Along the lines of President Franklin D. Roosevelt's New Deal solution to the Great Depression, Jill Stein advocates a "Green New Deal" in which renewable energy jobs would be created to address climate change and environmental issues with the objective of employing "every American willing and able to work". Citing the research of Dr. Phillip Harvey, Professor of Law & Economics at Rutgers University, as evidence of the successful economic effects of the 1930s' New Deal projects, Stein would fund the plan with a 30% reduction in the U.S. military budget, returning US troops home, and increasing taxes on areas such as capital gains, offshore tax havens and multimillion dollar real estate. Stein plans on impacting what she sees as a growing convergence of environmental crises in water, soil, fisheries and forests, through the creation of sustainable infrastructure based in clean renewable energy generation and sustainable communities principles such as increasing intra-city mass transit and inter-ci ...
Give us a mandate for what America needs: a Green New Deal | Jill Stein via
Jill Stein is too liberal. Her "Green New Deal" read like the Communist Manifesto. That being said, I think Obama is too conservative for me. He should take many of the ideas from Jill's platform. Romney is a liar. He probably has some good ideas, but his positioning is so poor, I can't decipher them. Who are you voting for?
Listening to the DNC the last few nights, I realized that the lies and warmongering rhetoric against Iran, and the praise of Israel, were exactly the same as the lies and warmongering from the RNC. These cretins and the robots mindlessly cheering them were BOASTING about how willing they are to "work with" (read: give away the entire store to) Republicans and Wall Street, and how crazy the GOP for doing what any opposition party is supposed to do: oppose the party in power. Bill Clinton, who presided over the repeal of New Deal banking regulations and Progressive Era anti-trust laws, who passed NAFTA into law, who ended Welfare as we knew with without moving a single poor person into a decent-paying job, was fellating himself over how necessary it is to regulate Wall Street. Irony much? Oh, and considering how many people still remember Monica Lewnisky, making ANY comments about Michelle Obama is just dumb. Then of course there were the lies about Obamacare, which does absolutely nothing to provide acce ...

Romney and Ryan have one thing in common. They have both made huge profits by decimating the U.S.Economy.They represent a class of capitalist vampires that continue to suck the life blood out of our nation state and the Obama administration has been covering their tracks every step of the way.Vote for Jill Stein and the Green Party. We need a Green New Deal.
Arizona, DC & Connecticut. That's what it's boiling down to. Do you have friends in those states? Pass it on. Remember, you're not necessarily voting for Jill Stein (though you should). You're allowing a third party to have a voice on ending wars, single payer Health Care and a Green New Deal.
The Green Party's Jill Stein has clinched her party’s presidential nomination after celebrating a major victory in yesterday’s California primary, winning 49% of the vote against her chief contenders, television comedienne Roseanne Barr and public servant Kent Mesplay. The California win followed other recent Stein victories in Michigan, Florida, and Iowa. With 182 delegates required to win the nomination, and 194 delegates now in hand, Stein will go into the Green Party convention in Baltimore, July 12-15, with a clear majority of delegates. She has won over 66% of all delegates allocated, and 27 of 29 Green Party primaries, with the next nearest candidate, Roseanne Barr, at 22%. Stein, a medical doctor who once ran against Mitt Romney for Governor of Massachusetts, is proposing a Green New Deal for America that will create 25 million jobs, end unemployment, and transition our country to a green economy. Her proposals will also guarantee public higher education and Medicare for all, break up the big ...
Being Green: US presidential hopeful Jill Stein aims to rebuild a broken system Lost amid the carnival of embarrassments that is the Republican presidential primary is the fact that there is another primary race underway: the Green Party's. "What?" you say. "Those guys are still around?" Well yes, but they're not guys. The front-runner in the race is Jill Stein, a Boston physician and veteran activist and candidate with the Massachusetts Green-Rainbow Party. (Note to the good people of the Bay State: We get that you're trying to be inclusive, but a name like that is NO WAY to win respect in the world.) She is currently trouncing the second-place runner, former sitcom star Roseanne Barr. (Note to the good people of the Green Party: Oh, never mind...) Lest you think this is all rainbows and ponies, however, Stein is not messing around. She says she became involved in politics after witnessing firsthand the epidemics of obesity, diabetes, learning disorders, autism - problems that she traces to toxic chemica ...
everywhere the message is the same: A Green New Deal FOR AMERICA bigger & better than FDR and more necessary THE IMPERATIVE vote DR Jill Stein for President get her Federal Matching Funds in your state give up to 250 bucks NO MORE to get her qualified
Dr. Jill Stein, Green Party presidential frontrunner, called this morning for a concerted national campaign to eliminate hate crimes and racist violence once and for all. On Saturday, five people were randomly shot on the streets of Tulsa, Oklahoma, allegedly by two men apparently targeting them because they were Black. This follows on weeks of protests following the killing of an unarmed teenager, Trayvon Martin, by George Zimmerman. Returning from a protest held this weekend in her home state of Massachusetts calling for justice for Trayvon Martin, Dr. Stein said that “This terrible tragedy reflects the dire convergence of injustice and fear in many parts of our society. African American men have been demonized on multiple fronts, by the racist war on drugs, the violence wracking impoverished communities, and the prison-industrial complex. Fears have been intensified by the climate of economic insecurity that makes some people vulnerable to racist ideologies in the first place.” Stein said that some ...
