The Lions have less than $1 million in cap space, not nearly enough to sign first-round draft pick Eric Ebron, reports MLive.com. The team will have to make some moves to fit the tight end under the cap. "We'll work through it and it'll get done," coach Jim Caldwell the website. "It will get done when it's supposed to get done, and hopefully it happens so it doesn't infringe upon the start of training camp." Ebron eventually will sign a four-year deal worth about $12.3 million and count about $2.2 million against this year's cap, the report said. The Lions could free up cap room by extending the contract of defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh or restructuring Calvin Johnson's deal, according to the website. CPB

The Detroit Lions have formally denied an Ndamukong Suh trade so does that mean Jadeveon Clowney or Khalil MacK are no longer draft targets?
So I want to make a prediction about the players in this years NFL draft, basing this off of interviews, college careers, scouting reports and football analytics. I am curious to look back in a year and see either how close or very far off I am. Just goes to show the NFL draft is the biggest lottery ever, such a wild card. Aaron Donald is gong to be the next Ndamukong Suh and may be the Defense rookie of the year. Derek Carr will be the best QB in this draft. Aaron Murray will be a QB in the mold of Andy Dalton and a solid starter. Blake Bortles can be a decent starter and will be able to lead, similar to Joe Flaco's career. Teddy Bridgewater will also have a solid career depending on the team that select him. Johny Manziel will be a bust along with A.J. McCarren. Tom Savage may also be the steal in this draft. I think we have 2 great WRs in Mike Evans and Sammy Watkins, Mike Evans will be the next Calvin Johnson due to his catch radius. Watkins will be a better route running version of A.J. Greene. Odell ...

Bleacher Report reports the Lions have discussed trading Ndamukong Suh. Reporter Mike Freeman makes it a point to say talks have been informal, and the Lions are just "exploring" what they could get in case long-term contract negotiations fizzle out. It's standard operating procedure. Suh currently counts over $22 million against the cap and is looking for an extension. It's unclear if he truly wants to stay in Detroit. James Ihedigbo brings a champion’s work ethic to early conditioning sessions Allen Park — You don’t just join a new team and declare yourself a leader, and James Ihedigbo certainly understands that. He knows there are leaders already in place, like Stephen Tulloch and Ndamukong Suh on the defensive side; Matthew Stafford, Dominic Raiola, Calvin Johnson on the offensive side. But some guys are wired to be leaders. They don’t have to declare it. Ihedigbo is one of those guys. “He’s a high-quality person,” Ravens coach John Harbaugh said during the league meetings last month. “He’s a leader. He’s a man of strong faith and conviction. Nobody is going to work harder. He will be a great leader for your younger players.” Ihedigbo, 30, was part of the Ravens’ Super Bowl championship team two years ago. He served a leadership apprenticeship of sorts under two of the most respected leaders in the game — Ray Lewis and Ed Reed. He brings that ring, and the cache that comes with it, to the Li ...
ALLEN PARK, Mich. -- Ndamukong Suh did not surprise his teammates and coaches by not showing up to voluntary workouts with the Detroit Lions this week, even if it has become an issue outside of the team's facility. Suh typically trains on his own anyway and the one thing Lions players said Thursday is that whenever he does show up, they expect him to be in his typical pristine shape. New coach Jim Caldwell said he wasn't stunned by Suh's lack of attendance, either. "It certainly didn't blindside me," Caldwell said. "We certainly knew. He and I have probably had more discussions than any player that we've had on the team. He's been in and out. I think he was here on a couple days when I came on a visit, so we kind of knew exactly what was going on. "But from a coach's standpoint, it's just like anything else. My business is to get in the position to win and win consistently. So we want every single minute of every single hour with every single player. That's the way we want it. The rules don't always lend ...

The big loser: the Vikings, who now get to face Ndamukong Suh, Jared Allen and Julius Peppers six times a year.
I'm really excited for the Detroit Lions signing of TE Brandon Pettigrew, WR Golden Tates, RB Joique Bell, but I'm waiting for the former Baltimore Ravens Safety, James Ihedigbo to come back and sign the contract. The Lions did sign DE Darryl Tapp after losing Willie Young to the Chicago Bears, 3 yrs- $9 million, so hopefully he'll hold his own along with James Jones, Ziggy Ansah, & Devin Taylor. They did sign DT Vaughn Martin, who will be competing for the starting spot with Jimmy Saddler-McQueen, Corvey Irvin, & Xavier Proctor, is 6-4 327 lbs to play along with Ndamukong Suh, Nick Fairly, & CJ Mosely. Go Lions!
Let me be clear, I've heard no rumors, nor do I have any reason to think this may happen. It is pure conjecture for the sake of conjecture. As I've been following news on Tate to Detroit, it is striking that the Lions are quickly running out of cap space. One of the articles, written by Michael Rothstein of ESPN had this little tid-bit suggesting a possible cut "...for defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh that would cut the albatross that is the $22.4 million counting against the cap." So, if Suh became available, at the right price, would you want him as a Seahawk? I think it's interesting given Pete's talent at working with "problem personalities" and Suh's talent at being a football player. I know we just resigned Tony McDaniel, but, what do you think? If we got the chance for Suh, would you want him? -PT

Two happy things you didn't know about NFL Player Generosity. You may hate his on field borderline illegal plays but Ndamukong Suh is an off the field softy: He donated $2,600,000 to his alma mater Nebraska. $2 million to the Nebraska University athletic department and another $600,000 to the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Engineering to endow a scholarship. It is the largest single gift ever from a former football player. Puppy faced Eli Manning endured a difficult 2013 season. Maybe because of hard times he understands the need for a helping hand: Eli and his wife Abby donated $1,000,000 to the University of Mississippi’s Ole Miss Opportunity Scholarship, which allows prospective students with an adjusted gross family income at or below $30,000 to attend the University of Mississippi. Kudos to Suh and Manning and all the future students who will benefit from their kindness.

Pro Bowl draft begins with defensive tackles, and Ndamukong Suh is first overall pick
The players are in no particular order just the best 10 guys at the position (5 returners) in the BCS era. The list is based on each individual player's performance as an collegiate player only. Popularity, draft position, success in the NFL or lack there of is NOT a factor in the ranking of these players. Also unlike ESPN on this list each player was required to have actually played a down in the conference so you wont see Nebraska's Ndamukong Suh listed. Ndamukong Suh does not sign an extension. Suh enters the final year of his deal and, like Matthew Stafford last season andCalvin Johnson before him, there is a decision that needs to be made with the defensive tackle. Suh’s cap number is a massive $21.412 million in 2014, 17.31 percent of the Lions' total -- more than any other signed Lions player for 2014. Considering how much money the Lions have tied up in Stafford and Johnson, it is tough to see Detroit being able to offer a massive deal to Suh right now, so he might play out the final year of his deal and go from there. What happens here may be dependent on the new coaching staff

LIONS WR Calvin Johnson AND DT NDAMUKONG SUH SELECTED TO 2014 Pro Bowl RB Reggie Bush, DT Nick Fairley, QB Matthew Stafford named alternates The National Football League announced today that Lions WR Calvin Johnson and DT Ndamukong Suh were selected to the 2014 Pro Bowl in a vote by the League’s coaches, players and fans. RB Reggie Bush, DT Nick Fairley and QB Matthew Stafford were also selected as alternates to this year’s game. This year marks Johnson’s fourth consecutive trip to the Pro Bowl as he is now the first Lions receiver since WR Herman Moore (1995-98) to be named to the Pro Bowl four times, and they are the only receivers in Lions history to be selected four times in their careers. The last Lions offensive player to earn four-straight Pro Bowl selections was Hall of Fame RB Barry Sanders (1990-99). Heading into Week 17, Johnson ranks second in the NFL in receiving yards (1,492), second in receiving yards per game (106.6) and tied for second in receiving touchdowns (12). His 5,137 receivi ...
Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson, Nate Burleson, Reggie Bush, Joique Bell, Ndamukong Suh, Nick Fairly, DeAndre Levy and Ziggy Anzah on one team and can't win. Jim Schwartz says he wants to" Finish what he started". Well, as Daniel Bryan would put it, "No, No, No, No, No, No, No"
This is how Ndamukong Suh, Nick Fairley and the Detroit defensive line warm up
I look like Ndamukong Suh rushin' Jon here.
Lions notes looks at Israel Idonije, Matthew Stafford, Ndamukong Suh and much more:

Calvin Johnson and Ndamukong Suh are headed back to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl, but DeAndre Levy's breakout season was ignored by voters, perhaps a victim of the Lions' late-season slide.
Congrats to Calvin Johnson & Ndamukong Suh on being named to the NFL Pro Bowl and to Matthew Stafford, Reggie Bush, and Nick Fairley on being named as alternates to this year's Pro Bowl!!
Ndamukong Suh is a bad man. He’s everything that’s wrong with the NFL. He plays dirty. He’s out of control; violent, he cheats, tries to...
For my nephew adam, who is an ndamukong suh fan.
Twas the night before Christmas and all through Ford Field Lions fans wonder what the offseason will wield Another poor season is nearly complete Our preseason dreams buried in defeat Free agency looms for plenty of players There could be changes at so many layers Coordinators, assistants passing the torch Several players pushed off the porch Calvin Johnson sets records, dominating the sport Now Martin Mayhew must get him support No more malcontents or selfish druggies Get us some playmakers, we’ll give you big huggies The defense clinkers and clatters like a rattling trash can Poor scheme, poor awareness, hard to be a fan But Ndamukong Suh and his partner Nick Fairley Can strike fear in opponents, more than just barely Leshoure and Joique Bell offer some promise I wish I could say the same about Mike Thomas A return man and pass rusher are high on the list And also a new safety that hits like a fist Matt Stafford delivers presents all over the turf But too often he throws like he’s trying to surf Con ...
Some days your jobs may not seem like the most wonderful job in the world. But if you compare it to being a Lineman in West Michigan this Christmas, your job Rocks! Some reports had more than 75% of the customers in Barry County (My county) without Power yesterday. Millions of lbs of ice covered trees and lines and down they came. And it's not getting warmer either so that ice isn't melting. Then in a cruel move that even Ndamukong Suh would likely shun several inches of heavy snow are predicted for tonight as winds begin to pick up and temperatures drop to about 10. That would be 'Unsportsmanlike Conduct' on Mother Nature! Full power restoration isn't expected here until Friday and no those lineman will not be getting Christmas Eve or Christmas Day off either. So if you're so inclined to lift a prayer or three or ten for those folks out there working and freezing their fingers to the bone to turn the lights and heat back on for the rest of us, please do so. Pray for successful efforts, safety, and for .. ...
We drop these last two games and coaching staff gets shown the door, Burleson, Matt Staff and Ndamukong Suh gone, sign Geno Smith and we solidify ourselves a top-10 pick. Good deal.
Ranking potential coaching openings 2. Detroit Lions There's a huge gap between the top two teams and the others in the eyes of league insiders. Detroit and Houston finished among the top two on just about every ballot. Both organizations project stability. Both are known for providing all the resources coaches covet. There's no questioning the Lions' talent. "They have a QB, they have Megatron, a running back, Ndamukong Suh," the GM said. "You just need to improve the back half of your defense. [Team president] Tom Lewand is good to work for. There is an ability from a coaching perspective to probably get the personnel you want. Their ownership is outstanding. There is a degree of patience still." Ownership previously stood by Matt Millen as its top football decision-maker for seven losing seasons. Current coach Jim Schwartz has been on the job for five seasons, returning in 2013 after going 4-12 last season. Patience can be frustrating for fans, but coaching candidates covet stability. "The No. 1 place ...
You can not see me like I'm just a projected image, Wordsmith of the apocalypse only pausin for spinach, Ndamukong Suh of rap be killin these lines of scrimmage, Haters pick up a mic and match me or clean yourself when I'm finished.

Detroit defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh knows that coach Jim Schwartz is in danger of being fired as the Lions’ late-season slide has moved them from favorites to long shots in the NFC North. And Suh is still hoping he can help Schwartz save his job. “Am I playing for Jim’s job?” Suh said, via FOXSpo...
I think the question of the day, is, Who will Ndamukong Suh murder on live television this year?
Sixth-grader Kelin Flynn won an essay contest to interview Ndamukong Suh – watch what happened when Kelin went one-on-one.
AD is one of only 2 players in history to win the Nagurski, Lombardi, Outland & Bednarik in the same yr. (Ndamukong Suh of Nebraska, 2009).
Aaron Donald won every defensive award he could..he got better stats than ndamukong suh did..yet nowhere in the heisman race
Aaron Donald is literal proof that ESPN isn't as great as they seem. Ndamukong Suh was mentioned every other day and even got Heisman hype.
Aaron Donald not being in NYC is as much who he plays for as position. Ndamukong Suh goes 4-for-4 in awards, finishes 4th in Heisman.
i had Heard from Mark may that his numbers were equal to our better than Ndamukong Suh so i guess he earned it
Took a pretty blantant shot at Ndamukong Suh.
I wanna flick ndamukong suh in the ear on a cold night with my metal wrapped finger
Asked about a penalty, DT Ndamukong Suh jokes that he's supernatural. Because of course:
Sixth grader Kelin Flynn goes Inside the Huddle, one-on-one, with
Charles Woodson still the only defensive heisman winner? Ndamukong Suh still got snub his senior year I think.
Still think Ndamukong Suh isn't targeted by the NFL for fines, another case of others not getting punished
Ndamukong Suh says he can't worry about his reputation resulting in extra penalties
Ndamukong Suh on holding penalty vs. Eagles: "I don’t think I can hold somebody and jump at the same time. I guess I am s…
Ndamukong Suh says he'd go crazy if he worried about reputation leading to extra penalties
Probably end up on top of 'em, stomping 'em like Ndamukong Suh
What follows is a bunch of talk about football and transformers... So if Calvin Johnson is Megatron... That makes Titus Young Starscream and Matt Stafford Soundwave... Making Reggie Bush Laserbeak and Joquie Bell Rumble. Ndamukong Suh is Unicron. This makes the Bears the Sharkticons and Marc Trestman the Quintesson judge. So with the Packers as Autobots... Matt Flynn is Ultra Magnus, Clay Matthews is Omega Supreme, and AJ Hawk is Bumblebee. Brett Favre should be Grimlock, but if you make him Optimus Prime, his turn to the (spoiler) darkside as Orion Pax makes sense. Aaron Rodgers is Rodimus Prime. Ted Thompson is Junkheap and Mike McCarthy is Sparkplug Witwicky. The Vikings are the Gobots.
God gave me this life and I almost blew it, give me a beat I'll Ndamukong Suh it, got bars for days you thought I couldn't do it, I overcome the odds, and rise to go do it
Jim Schwartz after the penalties on Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley, "I honestly don't even know what to tell them."'
Breaking News: Lions DT Ndamukong Suh has been fined $25,000 according to league officials following Adrian Peterson's remarks on Sunday.
Come outwork your competition this off-season & see why guys like Ndamukong Suh, Tony Scheffler, Peyton Manning, Philip Rivers & Jason Witten train at D1!
That may have been worst face mask I've ever seen. Looked like his neck was gonna break. Ndamukong Suh couldn't have done better himself.
Lions vs Eagles some straight BS! The Refs need to be ashamed! However, top highlights.,..defense Ndamukong Suh and offense Joique Bell!
One of my favorite things on NFL Sundays is to watch Ndamukong Suh lose. (Sorry Sue McKay, I just can't stand that guy)
I don't care much for the Eagles but I just can't root for a team that has Ndamukong Suh on it. He's a dirty player.
Just speaking my mind: I've been a NFL fan my whole life.but Detroit Lion's Ndamukong Suh is a total Jerk...When is the NFL going to suspend him and fine this guy Big time!
Okay, I've been quiet long enough, but it's time for Ndamukong Suh to be kicked out of the NFL.
I've said it before but I'll say it again, Ndamukong Suh is a dirty player... Nice cheap shot after the play was whistled dead.
The Philly Pressbox fearless Eagles prediction. The Eagles have to control the defensive line led by Nick Fairley and Ndamukong Suh, both really good players that can mike life difficult for Nick Foles and LeSean McCoy. Watch DB DeAndre Levy who has 6 INT's and is second on the team in tackles. He will be close to DeSean Jackson all day long. On defensive they obviously have to stop Calvin Johnson first and Reggie Bush second. Bush like McCoy is an outstanding runner and receiver. David Akers is the Lions kicker. I'm going Eagles 27-24. A big day for Riley Cooper and the TE's!
Philadelphia enters Sunday as the second-ranked rushing offense in the NFL averaging 146.8 yards per game Since mid-October, the Lions defense has been off the charts good against the run. Since Week 7, Detroit has held opponents to 243 rushing yards (40.5 per game), which ranks No. 1 in the NFL over that span. They also rank No. 1 in yards per attempt (1.9) and rushing touchdowns allowed (0). WE'RE SORRY, BUT THIS VIDEO IS NOT AVAILABLE. Detroit is the first team since 1933 to hold opponents to 62 yards or less and 0 rushing touchdowns in six-straight games. Amazingly, the Lions have not yielded a rushi ...
Isn't this usually when some player on the team the Lions are playing this week says Ndamukong Suh is a dirty player? Not this week.

The Lions DOMINATION continues as Matt Flynn is sacked by Ndamukong Suh for the safety. 7 sacks now for the
I'd rather have my nuts stomped on by Ndamukong Suh than see Jim Schwartz *** on tv.
Thanksgiving is upon us. It's again time for millions of Americans to get stuffed, plop on their couches and wonder why they have to watch the Detroit Lions. This year's answer is pretty simple. Green Bay's in town for the FOX Game of the Week and the Packers might be down to Lynn Dickey at quarterback. That could be entertaining. Then there's car-crash intrigue of the Lions. They began the season 6-3. The skills of Calvin Johnson, Ndamukong Suh, Matthew Stafford and Reggie Bush let us dream that these weren't the same old Lions. Then the football was apparently slathered in cranberry sauce. The Lions have turned it over 13 times in the past four games. They've lost the last two to Pittsburgh and the Tampa Bay Schianos. That last loss at home was disturbing enough for Bush to call for a team meeting. Being the Lions, they couldn't even agree on that. The short work week passed without a get-together. All of which means it would be time for both Green Bay and Detroit to panic if they weren't lucky enough t ...
Referees miss kick to the groin on RGIII vs. 49ers In the third quarter on Monday night in Washington, the officials missed two personal fouls in rapid succession, one on each team. First, 49ers tight end Vernon Davis lost a fumble — but only after his facemask was blatantly grabbed, which the officials didn’t see. Davis’s fumble was reminiscent of a play on Sunday, when Vikings running back Adrian Peterson fumbled after Packers linebacker A.J. Hawk grabbed his facemask. As I noted this morning, the NFL’s rules do not allow the referee to use instant replay to correct missed personal fouls. Then, on the ensuing Washington possession, as Robert Griffin III threw a pass, he was kicked in the groin by 49ers linebacker Aldon Smith. The officials didn’t see that, either. Smith’s groin kick left Griffin in pain, and it may leave Smith lighter in the wallet. Last year, when Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh kicked Texans quarterback Matt Schaub in the groin, it cost him a $30,000 fine. Smith may b ...
So in case anyone is remotely curious, here's who I root for, roughly in order, in any given NFL game that the Falcons aren't playing in (the Falcons ALWAYS come first!): 1) The Houston Texans, if Matt Schaub is playing (he used to be our backup QB). 2) The Arizona Cardinals, because I liked Jay Feely when he was our kicker. 3) The Carolina Panthers, if their game doesn't affect us (because they're in our division; plus, I went to Auburn University, where Cam Newton played). 4) The San Francisco 49ers and Green Bay Packers, because when I was growing up, Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Steve Young, and Brett Favre were forces of nature that defined football. 5) Whoever is playing against the Detroit Lions, because Ndamukong Suh is a thug who tries to end people's careers. 6) Whoever is playing against the New England Patriots, because I still despise how smug they were over the 2001 AFC playoff "tuck rule" game. Plus there was the "snow plow" game, spygate, etc. They're crooked, they cheat, and they delight in t ...
Remember kids, Ndamukong Suh said there'll be no killing today --->
Can't sleep - I guess I'm excited about the possibility of seeing Ndamukong Suh make Ben want to be traded to the CFL
Since no one has said it yet, I hope Ndamukong Suh kills Ben Rapistburger. Not literally of course. But, I do want to see that *** get pounded into the ground like a railroad spike.

The Steelers are coming off a win, so there is that. But there opponent isn't a offensively impotent Buffalo team, but an offensive juggnaut in the Detroit Lions. The Steelers and Lions are two of the oldest franchises in the NFL. But despite that there isn't much of note in the way of shared history. Seeing as we are in November and less than two weeks away, the infamous "Coin Flip" game of Thanksgiving 1998 is the first thing that comes to mind. But there was a time when the Lions were one of the consistent powers of the league and the Steelers the hapless franchise that could never win. The Lions traded quarterback Bobby Layne (probably the 3rd best QB in history behind Bradshaw and Ben) to the Steelers after the Lions won their last NFL title. Layne didn't take it well and proclaimed that the Lions wouldn't win another championship for 50 years. Time has proven him correct and then some as the 50 years has come and gone and the Lions are still waiting on their first Super Bowl appearance, ...
So apparently my sister and her friend met Ndamukong Suh at the Palladium and took a picture with him, and he bought their tickets
Look at the history of finalist in recent memory: Cam Newton, Johnny Manziel, Ndamukong Suh, Ricky Williams... Stand up guys? No.
Asked about the Detroit defensive tackle tandem of Ndamukong Suh and Nick Fairley and how his mindset might change extending plays with those two running at him, Ben Roethlisberger admitted the need for caution.
You're nit picking Ndamukong Suh? Cmon bro, you're better than that.

I want Ndamukong Suh's next victim of unnecessary roughness to be Michael Vick.
The Chicago Bears may not know what quarterback they are going to use Sunday against the Detroit Lions, but Ndamukong Suh knows who he would like to see under center. Suh said he is rooting for Jay Cutler, who tore a groin muscle during the team's Oct. 20 loss at Washington, to be able to play Sunday. "I am," Suh said. "I love playing against Cutler. He's a tough guy. No discredit to [Josh] McCown but I want the best shot. Whichever quarterback is healthier and the healthiest to go and is going to give them their best opportunity, that's who I want to go against. "I want to beat the best no matter what. Every single week." That could be a problem for Suh. Not only is Cutler on the mend from a groin injury but quarterback Aaron Rodgers, whose Green Bay Packers face the Lions play on Thanksgiving Day, is out with a fractured collarbone. So he might not be available either. In some ways, this saddens Suh, who indicated he felt bad for both quarterbacks. Again, because he wants to face the best possible oppon ...
Jay Cutler isn't sure whether he'll play this Sunday against the Lions. I guess it all depends if Ndamukong Suh plays.

New poll names Vick most disliked NFL player by Mike Florio Eagles coach Chip Kelly liked Mike Vick enough to make him the team’s starting quarterback for 2013. But Kelly may be in the minority. Via Forbes.com, a new poll of 1,100 ages 13 and up shows that Vick is the most disliked NFL player. Fifty-three percent of the people who responded to the poll expressed dislike for Vick. Coming in second at 48 percent was Chargers likebacker Manti Te’o. Next, at 43 percent, was Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh. :(

I'm not a "make the NFL a flag football game" guy, but Brandon Meriweather needs to be suspended for several games, at the very least. It's obvious that fining the guy doesn't do anything. He's donated like $200,000 to the NFL's deep pockets over the last 2-3 years and it simply does not change the way he goes about "tackling" ball-carriers, which is launching the crown of his helmet into defenseless players' face masks on a routine basis (the only way he knows how to hit). Fines are not a suitable deterrent for players like him and Ndamukong Suh. They just head into the locker room and joke about losing 10 grand after the game with their teammates, like Meriweather did yesterday. They make millions of dollars by playing dirty over the course of a 10-year career, a few thousand dollars is pennies to them.
Ndamukong Suh still leads all DTs with 32 total pressures. 2nd Geno Atkins (26) & 3rd Gerald McCoy (24)
