Just in from Dana Snow's son, Kevin... Dana Edwin Snow April 28, 1948 ~ December 17, 2013 Dana Edwin Snow, 65, of Marblehead, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday evening during the snow storm. He was the husband of Helene Stroh. Dana was the son of the late Edwin P. and Rosemary (Cruff) Snow of Marblehead. He graduated from Marblehead High School before joining the U.S. Air Force to serve his country during the Vietnam War from 1968 to 1972. During his time in the service, Dana was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, the Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, and the Vietnam Service Medal. He was stationed in Cam Ranh Bay from '69 to '70 and participated in the Cambodian incursion. His tour of duty included many fueling missions. He was Honorably Discharged as a Staff Sergeant and returned to Marblehead where he began what would be a life-long career working for the town that his family has lived in since the 1750s. I am blessed to have two great parents that lived into their eighties, and who has loved and supported me for 56 years. Unfortunately they both have completed their time on this earth; my mother passing in September, and my father passing last this last Monday. The following is his obituary: Norman Eugene Foster (September 9, 1930 – December 9, 2013) Norman Eugene Foster, 83, of Longmont, Colorado passed through the veil to be reunited with his bride, Pauline, and Heavenly Family on Monday December 9, 2013. He was born September 9, 1930 in New Castle, IN; the third of four sons entrusted by his Heavenly Father to Everett and Dorothy Foster. He was raised in New Castle, IN; and while family circumstances required that he enter the work force at a young age, he successfully completed his GED. Today I salute many of my family, friends and colleagues who are Veterans! The one I love and miss the most is my Daddy! He served in the Air Force, in the Korean War and received numerous awards; Korean Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal and The Good Conduct Medal. He paid for one of his siblings to attend college and served as the pleasure for President Lyndon Johnson as a photographer. But, most importantly he was the best Daddy and I miss him so very much! I love you Daddy!
The following is Jerry's obituary in the the Valley News Dispatch: Gerald E. "Jerry" Pellish, 63, of Arnold, passed away peacefully Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Concordia's Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot, surrounded by his family and friends. Jerry was born Aug. 7, 1949, to John Edward and Irene Dziobak Pellish, of Arnold, and lived in the Arnold-New Kensington area all of his life. He graduated from Arnold High School in 1967 and in March of 1969 enlisted into the Air Force where he was trained as an air traffic controller. In 1971 he was deployed to Thailand to provide assistance to U.S. Forces in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged in March of 1973 and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the Air Force Good Conduct Medal. Upon returning home, Jerry worked for Conrail and later the City of Arnold until his retirement in 2012. Sometimes, searching the internet can bring up some old memories Rest in peace sweetheart. I will love you forever. Howard Kemp Caskey, age 53, of Manhattan, died June 10, 2004 at his residence. He was born on July 29, 1950, in Mobile, AL, the son of Lawrence Lowell and Sylvia Mary (Kemp) Caskey. On November 1, 1999, he married Janita Kay Smith in Kansas City. She survives of the home. Howard served in the U.S. Air Force for one year and the U.S. Army for twenty years. He earned numerous medals and served in the Vietnam and Persian Gulf wars. While in the army he received a National Defense Service Medal with a bronze star, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal and the Army Good Conduct Medal. After his retirement from the military, he worked as a tech support for Wang, a computer consulting company. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his father; a daughter, Christina of Reno, NV; a brother, Martin Kemp Caskey of Paso Robles, CA; a son, Aaron of Atchison, KS and two grandchildren, Alexis ...
